Good morning

Starting off at 8° with more snow later today..

Tiding up and making Phyllis's baked custard for supper tonight and sewing (I hope)

We are at that stage in life that we let the young ones welcome in the New Year..

Patricia, manure is put on the fields each Spring . Funny story, one day I was spreading manure when a chain broke on the spreader. Took it back to the impliment shed to fix it, in came a city fellow in a fancy car wanting to sell insurance.I am now sitting in the back of the manure spreader trying to get the broken link fixed ,after the hellos he asked could we talk some other place! Guess he did like the smell of the country! Told him no had to get my work done.

Better get the day started.

Amy, Rick, that's what came to mind, because somewhere, I had heard about manure having a lot of nitrogen.

Today is another frigid day, minus 47 and not expected to get better until the 5th or 6th of next month. I envy all of you those mild temperatures but not the rain, wind and nasty critters in that warmer weather.

I'm hoping everyone has a happy New Year's Eve and a safe and sane new year. We all need it.
