good mid day everyone. we had freezing drizzle here. I have fed cows. I made a big mistake this morning On my way down to shop to get the tractor to feed with I opened the gates so all i would have to do was drive through with the hay. rode the 4 wheeler on to shop and got tractor and all the cattle(45 head) got out into the yard, nothing there except dead grass but they thinks it is good grazing. took one bale out but only part of the followed.  took a second bale out but first tried to drive them back with the tractor, did not work well at all. so after putting the second bale out and unrolling it I put the tractor up and got the for wheeler and we had quite a chase at least 30 minutes. I am willing to bet I do not do that again soon. in one turn not short enough I hit the fence with the front end loader bucket. so now I have some fence to repair. as I don't have enough work to do I make more. maybe I will sell out this spring get that motor home and come see some of you all for a few days at a time. we have ice coating on ground and roads are very slick. Have a great daay.

Good afternoon, pouring rain a little while ago, now drizzle but there are flood warnings out.

Gloria, My grandmother had a saying about the weather. "Green Christmas, fat cemetery. Also if it stayed warm If it stayed warm, there would be a lot of sickness. This weeks local paper, the Obit. was two pages instead of one.

Larry, I was impressed with the two olympians from N and S Korea, running together and also going up the stairs to light the torch. If that would only hold through.

Good seeing your post, Keep coming back we all care.

Lloyd, I think you had better sell, and enjoy life. You could write a book on mishaps.

June, I agree with you, all I want my washing machine, and all other appliances to do what I bought them for. Not have to read a book of directions on how to use them. I just want my washing machine to wash the cloths and rinse them. thenset the dryer time to dry of course set for cotton, silk etc. Cars now adays have to much distraction on the dashboard. I bought a TV, years ago you just plugged it in. Now I had to get a person to set it up.

Larry, when I went from the hospital to rehab (nursing home) l block away, I got a bill for $300. I do not know what ins. paid. When my grandson was not able to walk.  the doctor said he would never walk again, my DIL would not except it. She heard of a hospital in Orlando, he went by ambulance there from Pensacola. Almost two years later he is walking with a cane. My DIL never told me what the ambulance cost, but I did try to help a little. He was worth it.

Well, the dance went well. The driveway and the back yard got a turn.  I did manage to sew some this afternoon. We also had some ice pellets but nothing really to worry about. Hope this is it for today for snow and ice.

Oh dear Lloyd, what a time you have!! When the cows got out on me I used to grab a bucket and put grain in it IF I could if not small stones were thrown in the bucket to rattle and they would come thinking it is grain. Once they were all coming I would high tail it to the grainery to get them some grain. I used to manage a donut shop and each night would bring the day olds home with me in a big plastic garbage bag, cows, horses and  even the ducks would fight over the donuts. If the cows got out I would blow up a big plastic bag, rattle it and they thought oh boy donuts!!! Once they were all in I did give them some sweet grain. The joys of farming :)

Gloria de sure hope you don't have flooding in your area!!!

Why is that things never sound so bad when you can say them aloud to someone you love and who loves you?  Even if they just say, "Don't worry.  It'll all come out in the wash!"  That's better than not saying it at all!  I guess that's one of the drawbacks of living alone.  Sometimes, I just wish the dogs could answer.

Don't worry, this will all come out in the wash!  I know who to talk to and I know He listens and I know He cares.  And I know He answers!

I'll be back when the pity party is over.

Hi my dear, dear, beloved friends. I woke up with another cold, so no Church, lots of laying around, reading, sleeping. My medicine girl sent up the nurse, and she took all my vitals. chest clear, heart good, b.p. was low for me, but I am not locked in. I am staying home though…my choice..I had some rich soup for lunch, and will find something easy for supper.  Slept most of the after noon.

Gloria, I got the G.E. program for our new washer on my computer and it really helped, a few things I will have to review, but a lot of the buttons and lights I can ignore.

I hope you will excuse me for not conversing as much as I should, but sneezing wears me out, along with all the blowing of nose.

I called my son who is vacationing in Hawaii..he too still has a a slight cold that he had before they left the states, but he doesn't let it spoil his vacation. They will arrive home on Valentines Day.

Time to go find something to eat..like Gloria, I am never hungry, but we must eat. I hope to be back to say goodnight. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good night my friends!  Tomorrow is another day!  Let's meet it with grace!

Good evening.  We have been watching the olympics most of the afternoon and evening.  Unfortunately our recording cut off and we missed the end of the couples scating.....😞

JUNE, sorry to read you seem to now have cold symtoms again. I hope you can sleep it off and feel much better in the morning! 😷ðŸ¤'

JANE, it is true that living alone does not allow you to have someone to talk things out with.  I know your doggies are listening, but they just can’t share their thoughts with you😘.  I know you will share your thoughts with Him and He will help you see the light.  I enjoyed your comments about camping with the girl scouts and I know you did enjoy it and helped many girls enjoy it too.

AMY, I loved your story about how YOU could get your cows in when needed.  Glad you shared your time dancing with the back as well as the front.  I hope you enjoyed your time sewing this afternoon.

GLORIA de, I have never heard “green Christmas, fat cemetery”, but it does make sense.  I hope you did not get too much rain to cause problems.  We talked to our Boston Son today, as it is his birthday, and he said their back yard was a huge swimming pool they had so much rain. How blessed your grandson is to be able to walk with a cane after a doctors predicted he may never walk again.  I am sure that ambulance ride from Pensacola to Orlando was a very expensive one for sure, but it was worth it with his results.

LARRY, the days are passing much too quickly for me.....I had all the cards purchased well in advance then realized that Wednesday is Valentines Day and the cards to the grands, my dad and my best friend are still sitting on my desk waiting to be mailed!  We will take them to the P.O. early tomorrow morning but I fear they probably will not make it in time🤩🤩. I did manage to get two sons bday cards mailed in time, so they made it to California for the 6th and to Boston for today, the 11th.  Now I must remember to get our son and dil’s anniversary card sent for their day on the 28th.  Oh, and speaking of Birthdays......HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you tomorrow!  I hope you enjoy YOUR day and best wishes for health and happiness this year.

GLORIA, I enjoyed and have shared your 23rd Psalm for working people..... Good luck getting out with your son to buy new shoes later this week.

I wish you all a good night of rest.  Pleasant dreams.

We are heading to the city to return some pants hubby bought and he hopes to find a pair of boots. Not enough snow to move this morning,I may just tidy the driveway up when we get back. Jane, it is a leave right snow....leave it right there!!

Managed to put some of the quilt blocks together yesterday and I think it is going to look alright when done.

June, I hope your cold makes a short visit with you. Don't forget about putting Vicks on the bottom of your feet.

Jenny a belated happy birthday to your Boston son..

Enjoy your day everyone..

Good morning Everyfriend!  I'm happy to say that today IS a better day than yesterday!  I put my "silly" in His hands and he said it's not silly and he'll take care of it.  Well, not in so many words but I slept through the night (I haven't done that in a while) and I did wake refreshed.  It took me a couple of minutes to realize that was his answer and I feel better.

Gloria de....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!  I HOPE IT'S A LOVELY ONE AND THAT GOD BLESSES YOUR DAY AND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

The temp is 38º and it's foggy out there.  It also says that the high for today will be 38 so I guess there's nowhere to go but down!  BRRR!

The coffee's fresh and hot!  Anyone want a cup?

Good morning everyone, rain finally stopped but it is cloudy. Have no idea how much rain we had but there was no downpours like were predicted.

LARRY  I did not watch the opening of the Olympics this year. About the only thing I have watched so far was some of the ice skating last night. The witch insists I am smoking in here, this is a smoke free building, I do not smoke. At times when I am outside walking some of my friends are in the smoke shack, a small shack where they can smoke. I will stop in to talk with them so the smell follows me. The fridge is not snow white so she says it is stained. My CNA had just washed it that morning. She is nuts. I would move if I could find a better place. This is a small one, 50 apartments, most have hundreds of them and are not just for seniors and with my luck I would be on the top floor of one of the high  rise buildings. Bad enough I am on the top/third floor here.

LLOYD  looks like you are one of the people who can say
without bad luck I would have no luck at all. Bad enough you had to go out when the ground was covered in ice. Hope today is better for you.

GLORIA de  my Mom used to say Green winter fat cemetery. Also if it was a warm winter too many germs around so more sickness.

JANE  today I am having a pity party. Praying I can hold my temper when I go down  to the witch's office for yearly evaluation. My appointment is at 2pm and I hate looking at her. Keep thinking “this too will pass”.

JUNE  hope the feeling of another cold has passed and you do not have one.

JENNY  knowing my son he will want to pay for shoes and I will not let him. We will not come home before we stop somewhere for lunch either. That was not MY 23rd Psalm, cannot even remember who or where I got that. I wish I had read it when I was still working.

An oldie that Joan posted.
50/50
Bob Perks

I am not an odds maker.  I know little about mathematics, still I can add, subtract, divide and multiply.  Sometimes without a calculator! In my mind it comes down to this.  It either is or it isn't.  You are or you are not.

When I met my friend, Steffe Berdy, she said to me, "I always thought that life was black and white then God dragged me through the gray." After she died, I decided to permit myself to see in between the things of life.

That being said, I also decided that gray must be a transition.  One either "is" or on the way to it. Another either "isn't" or on the way to it. Thus the "gray."

I knew I had to share this idea with you after seeing the movie "50/50."  I was in the audience for the first showing of the movie in our area. It's about a young man who is told he had cancer and a 50/50 chance of survival. For me, personally, it was a very powerful movie. Memories of my son, Keith's battle with cancer shadowed every scene.

"Sixty-five percent chance of survival.  Better than 50/50. But not ninety-five to one-hundred percent. That's what the doctor said about Keith.  But it's more than a numbers game.  It's my son and sixty-five percent didn't sit well with me." (From my book, "The Flight of a Lifetime!")

In my "either or mind" he either would die or he would live.  What we did in the "gray" would make the difference.

At the end of the movie, I stood up in the theater and shouted, "Time is a precious thing.  Don't waste a moment of it.  If you love someone don't wait...tell them now!"

Then I walked out.

Whatever you are facing right now, today, "is" the way it is.

Whatever you choose to do about it, is the gray, in- transition phase.

If you feel so afraid that you tremble at the thought of what might be, then God is shaking you to get you to do something.

Not making a decision is still a decision.  Not responding to the challenge only leaves you right where you are without any idea of where you are headed.  You are headed somewhere.  The Earth does not sit still.  The world does not wait for you so it takes you right along on a journey where you have given up control of your destiny.

No one stays in the gray.  You are in transition, evolving without effort on your part, but still changing.

Some choose to stay where they are because they worry that something worse will happen.  They almost become comfortable with the pain, the darkness, the ugliness of their situation.

"Why doesn't God rescue me?" they ask.

My God is the God of miracles, still he calls upon us to "do" His will, not to waste away.

Psalm 106:43
"Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin."

God feeds the smallest bird, but he does not throw the seed into the nest.  That's why He gave them wings.

He calls on you to act upon your faith, not dwell upon your woes.

God is an action God.  He wants you to "do" not just think about, ponder for awhile, what could be in your life.

You are either happy or sad.
You are either healthy or ill.
You are either a believer or not.
You cannot be fifty-fifty.

Like those who profess to be believers and then when faced with a challenge, doubt that God is there in their life.

He is waiting for you to walk out of the gray and into the "Light" of what could be.

John 9:36
"Who is he, sir?" the man asked.  "Tell me so that I may believe in him."

He believes in you!

"I believe in you, too!"

Good Morning Everyone
from the cool but clear,  Rocky Coast of
Maine.

Happy Birthday  Larry!

I have been watching the Olympics occasionally
during the day...

I find the commercials much more enjoyable
then the Super Bowl Commercials ....
Just and observation.

I did notice that the people participating
in this Olympics are wearing clothes that
are much tighter,  or appear to be.
I am sure that they don't have a choice.

I try very hard not to fall into the trap of
giving free reign to abusers to continue their
abuse...

Usually the abusers are more powerful then
those that they abuse .... and many times
because of their power,  are allowed to
continue their abuse unchecked until society
takes a stand to nip their abusive ways
in the bud and make the abusers take
responsibility for their actions.

So much for my opinion about abusers
and their victims.

IMHO it is a sad state of affairs for any
society to continue to blame the victims of
abuse.

Have a great day,  everyone...
and enjoy what ever you are doing
today ...

Just for the record - I have not watched any of the Olympics.

Gloria, you were very happy about your location when you first moved in.  I think finances play a big part in your staying there, but can't your sons look for another place near either of them, a place you would be happier?  I know you don't find out how happy you might be until you are there for a while.  You should not have to take the abuse from the "witch" and her continual abuse can be detrimental to your health.

I remember Joan posting the readings by Bob Perks.  I always enjoyed them and they all had "food for thought".

Hi Everyone.  Hi everyone.  Our day is starting out at 61 degrees and headed up into the 70's with only a small chance of anymore rain today.  I actually felt like getting up this morning after spending most of the last two days laying in bed with my eyes closed.  I am thankful for audiobooks and was able to listen to a good one and help pass the time away.  I have nothing special on the agenda and have no plans for my Birthday until Wednesday when we will be able to be with Scott and hopefully Jennifer and her friend will be able to come out.  We do have the Dairy Queen ice cream cake in the freezer that I won and picked up last week when we went there to eat one evening.

Lloyd, I can relate to your experience with the cattle getting out through the open gate.  We had that happen several time with our dairy herd although usually they behaved pretty well when we moved them from the barn area out into the driveway and up the road a short distance to the pasture.  Of course I was young at the time and could run after them.

deAngel, years ago when we moved my folks to a nursing home in Northern Iowa, where my sister lived, we contracted for a small plane to fly them up there along with Pat and I.  At that time it was $1,500 but an ambulance would likely have been just as expensive and would have been at least a 5 hour trip whereas the plane was two hours from the bed in one nursing home to the bed in the new nursing home.  It was difficult to get my dad in and out of the plane but kind men at the airport helped get him up the steps and into the jump seat.

Amy, your technique to get your cattle back in the lot was quite cleaver.  I had no idea cows would like donut.

Jane, it is easy for things to grow in significance in our minds and sharing our thoughts with someone else often does help to put things back in perspective.  Hope you are feeling more upbeat today.

June, you are having more than your share of colds this winter.  Hope you are feeling better today.

Jenny, I just bet your Valentine's card will be appreciated when they are received.  Your son and my great granddaughter both share Febuary 11th date for their birthdays.

Gloria, I hope your evaulation goes well this afternoon.

Sandy, thanks for the birthday greeting. I think the athletes wear the very tight clothing to avoid as much air resistence as possible.  Some of the score are only fractions of a second different so they look for every advantage.

Happy Birthday, Larry.  So glad to hear that you are feeling much better.  I hope it continues that way.

Cloudy here today, too, but warm.  Not as much rain as they said we would get but even a little helps our dry conditions.

I have always loved the Olympics but this year just can't seem to get interested in them.  I am another one that gets terribly annoyed at the constant chatter by "talking heads".  Most often I will mute the sound.

If any of you like to watch beautiful dogs remember that tonight and tomorrow night is Westminster Dog Show.  It is being shown on FS 1.   That is one of the Fox sports channels.  I always enjoy it very much.

Gloria de, I almost missed your birthday.  May you have a wonderful day!

Good Morning all…late morning…after 11 a.m.  Still sneezing my head off, and that leaves me weak. I had an early morning visit from our main Nurse this morning. She had heard I have another cold. They sure know all about us….never even have a chance to complain. She took all my vitals, everything turned out A-1. It seems to be going around the complex…strange symptom…..sneezing and sneezing and more sneezing, blowing nose at least 15 times a day, or more. Nose "running" uncontrollably. She told me to drink lots and lots of water, and they sent up two cans of gator-ade. I am not considered contagious so I will be going down for lunch today. This nurse is the one that sat with me for hours when I was having trouble breathing…she kept me alive…..I am sure of that..I wanted to just let go, and she wouldn't let me. she kept yelling, breathe, breathe……..and so I did. God puts great people into our lives.

Janie, Our God is so great, you put yourself in His hands, and He took care of it. That thrills me all over. I have a feeling this will be a great day for you dear one.

Gloria, I wish I could sit with you when you are being interviewed by that crazy woman they call a manager. I would say to her, "It is best for you to remember that I am paying your wages. You work for me ! Also, I think it time for one of your sons to ask for an interview with her. A Manager is there to hear YOUR complaints, not GIVE you problems.

Sandy, I applaud you !!!!! Quote,

  Happy Birthday to Gloria de

Gloria:  A county authority and/also state authority should be notified.  How about a local newspaper?  Is there anyone outside the building who can pass along the comlaint?

Joy:  We have really nice vegetables and fruit in Tucson all winter and spring season - then, drive home to Colorado and wait for the crops to appear in the stores.

Jenny:  Our children went through winter camp outs in Minnesota weather - I was really worried about frost bite.  Yes, the front range is being ruined by the population explosion.  I would vote against the Olympics if they would ask.

June:  A1 sounds super nice.

We did not take an entire 60 lbs. of veggies but chose green beans, miniature tomatoes, new potatoes, figs, and zucchini.  I gave a bunch to young friends last night - after the meal I fixed.  It is a Swiss meal - of toasting their soft cheese under a broiler on the table and scraping the melted cheese on veggies - also made meatballs.  Always a nice meal and everyone seems to like it - used a raclette appliance.  Very hard to find the raclette cheese but Amazon shipped 2 lbs so there is a lot left over - enough for another one or two meals.

🎊 GLORIA and LARRY 🎉

GLORIA de, I knew today was YOUR Birthday, so I apologize for not sending you greetings last night like I did to Larry, a day early.

JANE, good girl.....you did what was best for you, and now your burden does not seem nearly as heavy for you to deal with.

GLORIA, I hope your meeting with the “witch” went well and did not stress you out too much!  Thank you for sharing the oldie!  I bet your son will want to pay for your shoes.... of course enjoy your time with him on that day, especially the lunch time when you can really chat face to face.

CAROL, we voted against Denver hosting the olympics in 1976 and will vote against it again!  I want to tell you the roads must have been very icy Saturday afternoon and evening as for the first time ever we saw that cars were having a hard time getting up the hill just past our front gate headed west towards your place!  Your veggie box sounds wonderful.

PHYLLIS, we too, get very angry with the constant chatter and outspoken opinions of the announcers for the Olympic AND for most sporting events.  Half the time they do not know what they are even saying and are yaking to hear themselves!

MARYANN, I keep forgetting to ask you to please give Dot my best.  I often think about her and wish she posted here in one of our folders.

LARRY, how smart it was to fly your mom and dad to their new location rather than put them through the longer drive time it would have required.

JUNE, sure glad you are not contagious so you won’t get lock in again!  Take care and feel better.

I have not mentioned my sciatica, but it does still exist!  it is the same old story...starts about 3 to 4 AM....I do believe it is more bearable now though....I have been putting mind over matter and at least I can generally get bac’ to sleep after awhile.

We were out shopping at Sam’s Club a bit ago.  My hubby calls me on the cell and says he is sitting down as all of a sudden he could not see.  We use the optometrist I that club for our eye exams, so we went over to see him and he said it is nothing to be worried about...he thinks it is a optical migraine and they do not last too long.  He was right, it was gone within the hour, but it sure scared the dickens out of us!  That being said...
We wonder what caused it?  I plan to read up on it when I finish here.

AMY, I hope your shopping trip went well and hubby was able to find some boots.  Thank you for the birthday greeting for my son.

Have a good evening, EVERYFRIEND.

Jenny, thanks for asking about Dot and I'll give her your message.  Dot is a very busy woman, into a couple things from church, does some socializing with a friend who moved into the unit next door to her, keeps tabs on her daughter who retired last fall and has five great-grandchildren, three of whom live near.  Weather permitting, we do go to church Sunday morning and she drives yet.  Weather has kept us from going the past two weeks.  She is not as much into computing as others, especially with Norm gone.  He was on the computer a lot and she would play games to keep him company.

I made an appointment today to start PT for my arthritic shoulder.  I am not enthusiastic about my shoulder feeling better.  It hurts a lot and I cannot lift the right arm as far as my shoulder.  I am a definite right hander and my left hand and arm is getting exercise they do not usually get.  Using my left hand is very awkward for me and there are times I have to call Tom to do something for me.

It is interesting, Jenny, that your sciatica starts up in the middle of the night; my arthritis lets me sleep well at night; it is during the day I hurt.  I do take Arthritis 650 and that does help.

:hb2: :hb3: Happy Birthday to Gloria de and Larry!    :hb3:  :hb2:

Janie, years ago when I had a miscarriage (3rd) "that" doctor insisted I go into the hospital overnight.  They were all very early stages and years between.  Anyway, next morning a Priest came in to offer sympathy and I looked him in the eye, never shed a tear and told him that "I am grateful that God saved the baby from probable years of suffering since for sure, there was something wrong with it.  I had Faith that HE knew what was best and I prayed that HE would give me the strength & understanding to trust His judgement".  I firmly believe He does what is best even when we don't "get it" right then.  Got a feeling that's how you found peace with your problems.  Hugs to you, hang in there.

Gloria, I do think you should make a list of all the sneaky things she has tried to pull or demand.... about the thermostat & washer & all those "little" things that torment all of you.  Keep the list handy & if you need to blow up at her some day just present her with the list and explain "copies will go to her boss & your lawyer for harassment".... and smile sweetly and see if she doesn't cater to you for a while. :nahna:

Jenny, I have tried hard (but giving up) to not remind you that Epsom salt really does help sciatica, honest.  I know I preach it's benefits over & over but even my kids are impressed that I don't have the problem anymore... for years now.  It was routine all those years before the 2 hour soak.... and absolutely feel better than even when I was a teenager.  But you gotta lay flat & stretch those bones out so the nerves can slip from between them.  My Ophthalmologist diagnosed my strange eye thing as "migraine without the headache".  As soon as my eyes get a funny coloring like when the computer buffers... I take a 325 aspirin & in a few minutes it is gone.  I thought maybe a blood clot & scared me..... but the doctors never had any kind of answer until the eye doc's guess.  I do carry aspirin with me at all times & even a bottle of water next to me in the car.  Best wishes to Bob. I get my eyes checked this week.

I really wanted to watch the ice dancing but missed it........ Never ever got to ski but would still love to try it.... can you imagine an 83 year old willing to risk broken bones YET?  But I would.... bunny slopes.   :-[   Have to be low 'cause of oxygen level.   :crazy2:

Midnight snack time for the cats.... I woke up at 3:00 am & listened to old music for 2 hours before finally going back to sleep.... I did NOT get out of bed because the doctor told me 35 years ago "the body has memory & will get you up same time every night if you give in".........works for me.  With that toe tapping music I actually showed quite a few steps on my Fitbit.   ;D  When I woke the next time I'd had a nightmare that I didn't want to finish..... so got up!  No big parties at MY house!   God Bless & Sweet Dreams

Mary Ann, I know what you mean about being right handed.... I can't even use my left had to hold the phone.... lucky so far that my arthritis is in my hands & not shoulders.  I have extra large hands for my size, but they've served me well, even now that they are so awful looking with big knots instead of knuckles. Whatever works, huh?  Good luck with your appointment. Shirley

Was hoping to hear how Gloria's  visit with the so-called Manager went.

Still sneezing my head off. Can't figure out how all my vitals are so good and I can feel so lousy.

Time to have some supper....I brought home half my egg salad sandwich I had for lunch and I have some lettuce and sliced tomatoes to go with it, then it will be on to book and bed. I am sleepy already, in spite of a solid two hour nap.

If I don't back in later, I will send you Love and hugs and Prayers right now. God Bless you greatly. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Everyone with the headache-less migraines...I've had them for years and thank God for a dr. that I had only for a short time before he retired.  He told me if I could to just relax and wait them out (mine take about 15 minutes) and if they lasted longer or I had any pain with them to take one tylenol.  I keep a small container of generic tylenol in several places that are handy and I haven't had to use them often.  But it took the "scare" out of the episodes just knowing what was causing them.  If I'm in a familiar place and I can't stop what I'm doing, habit keeps me going but if I'm walking or driving I stop immediately and wait them out.

Now I'm going to bed and see if I can get another night of sleeping right through.  They don't come often but when they do, I thank Him for them.

LARRY, I think your birthday is tomorrow.  I hope it's a happy one and that you celebrate many more of them in the years to come.  Enjoy your day!

SHIRLEY, I think you and I have a lot in common when it comes to dealing with adversity.  Thanks for your understanding!

Good Night Everyfriend!  Sleep peacefully and wake refreshed.  I leave you in God's hands!

Speaking of "Migraines with out the head ache"
I used to get them when I was younger ...

I would get them if I got physically stressed out.  Like after playing tennis.     I would play too hard for too long,  and they
would begin with my eyes getting blurry and sometimes
some lights....    I would have to lay down and rest for  a bit and they soon would go away.    I went to an eye doctor and he
told me that I was having a migraine.    Lucky for me,
no pain.      Of course if I were out driving around then I
would have to pull over and wait it out.

They never lasted too long.

You know that  I have migraines with out the pain,
and also shingles with out  very much pain.    And once
during an operation,  I woke up in the middle of it.  But
could not move.     I felt the stitching up,  but no pain from
that either.     I also had a spinal tap with no pain.  And
they set my  broken arm with out any pain reliever... (it did hurt, but I was able to control it by breathing through it)

I do get blood drawn every month and that rarely
hurts,    but when they put  in the  intravenous port
for the recent colonoscopy ,   now that HURT !!!!
:tissue: :dizzy:

Sandy, when I was a teenager I did have the migraines with the headache... so bad it hurt to move my hair or blink.  Aspirin did no good so I either went to ride a horse until I was numb & could go to sleep or just go to sleep in a dark room.  I don't remember them stopping me from doing anything I wanted to do but a good excuse to NOT do something I didn't want to do.   ::)

I'm not totally convinced this is what I have, but Bayer does say it works as blood thinner & I don't take any other so until a doctor actually sees me when one is going on, I'll hope it breaks the blood clots or whatever is causing my problem.  Guess the eye doctors have a better understanding about this issue, sure hope mine can come up with a better fit on glasses this time.

Good morning Everyfriend!  We're up and attem this morning and it's going to be a brrrrr cold one!  The doggies didn't stay out long and now we're waiting out their pill time.

Shirley and Sandy, there was a time when I had the painful, nothing helps but a strong pill and a dark room and 10 hours of sleep type of migraine too but thank God , those days are over.  And thank God, I had one of the painless ones on a day when I also had an appointment with the dr.  I actually drew a picture of what I was seeing when the session occurred and the Dr. had just returned from a conference on migraine headaches and recognized my drawing immediately.  Sometimes things just mesh.

I have an unexpected day off today and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.  I put off a stop at the store for a couple of things I need and I'm doing that today and then I'm going to bake some cookies and make dog food and whatever!

I hope you all have a great day today....especially LARRY!
