carol, Kiran alias TLHis 11 and in the 5th grade. We've had our "after schools" since she was in nursery school and I cherish they. But today is going to be a sad day in her life. They are letting their ailing dog go to rainbow bridge today
Y. She asked them to wait until she's home from school so she can say a proper Goodbye to her.

As to quitting my job... That was the heat of the moment. I'm afraid I was venting my anger at people who either don't listen; don't hear; or don't remember. You may notice I left out "don't care". I've given them the benefit of the doubt.

I've managed to get a lot done so far today and in the interest of not boring all of you I'm not going to print the list. But I better go put the towels in the dryer and go get TLH. LATER FRIENDS

Jane, that is so sad for Kiran.... will post this for you to decide  on what to do with it.

We had a great day got all I needed at Costco and most of it on sale !!Have to love days like this.

Larry, I haven't tried that but will look next time..are they in the meat counter?

June, Golden girl is not too happy when I have to lift her up or help turn her over, oh she can eventually turn over but if I see her I help.....then she looks at me as if to say thank you Mom :)

I'm still reporting from my iPad. My desktop is at the shop getting an overhaul. I took the standard as opposed to the emergency service. I saved 20 bucks that way but it might take longer.

We had and are having some snow. It's supposed to continue all morning but will only amount to a couple of inches so it won't keep me home from work this morning. I wish you all a day filled with everything you love. Be happy. Be warm. Be loved.  Be healthy!

I think that we will finally see the sun today.  The last few days have been almost constant drizzling or harder rain.  We needed the moisture but am really tired of it.  Colder temps. but not too bad and easier to put up with if the sun is shining.

I haven't been doing much except the usual household chores lately.  I'm trying to collect all of the tax documents that I need to have.  Several have been received but some always take awhile to get here.  Really do not look forward to filling out the tax forms but it must be done!  Thank goodness it is only once a year.

Take care and be well, everyone.

I look forward to tax time as I do not have a paying job we get  tax $$ back.
I made waffles this morning. Nancy and I were talking abought times has changed when the children was little we made them from scratch and also pancakes. now days we use Bisquick mix. we do not but you can buy them ready made and frozen. Back when times was relay hard children weer little we would make pancakes from scratch and substrate some of the flour for corn meal and make sandwiches on them for the children to snack on and even our selves. times has sure changed. we are still poor but not church mouse poor like we were then. I can reamber cutting wood with a ax and a one man saw. the old saying cutting wood and burning it gets you warm twice once when you cut it and once when you burn it.Have a great day.

Where is that marvelous moon?  It is cloudy this morning - still, there are a lot of stars to see.  I have been herding cats - well, it feels like it when trying to gather family for a mid-day lunch tomorrow.  4 cousins from Minnesota are in the area  and we have set a time for tomorrow's lunch finally.  This morning is a new doctor's appt. for me and buying fresh chicken to marinate for tomorrow's lunch - along with a pizza casserole just because it looks interesting.

Lloyd:  Wishing you enough snow. Good day to you!

Joy

Good Tuesday morning.

I woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground./  The driveway outside of my window is clear.  The pine trees look pretty with just a little bit of the snow on the edges.  But, it is only in the 20's, so it is very cold.   I was up early and turned the heat up and went back to bed for a little while longer.

Supposed to clear off shortly and the sun will come out.  It is very windy, also, and the snow is blowing off the trees.  Last night on the news, they were saying that they had been pre-treating the roads for the morning rush hour.  Most of the school systems are in a 2-hour late opening.  More snow is predicted for later in the week and then again on Sunday.  So, we are still not out of the woods, yet.

Nothing special going on today.  Tonight I will probably play cards.  I think I will make a couple apple turnovers with some puff pastry dough I have in the freezer. I have a few apples that need to be used.   That will give me something for breakfast for a couple mornings.  I also saw a recipe on FB for some little cheese snacks that I might make, as long as I have the oven on.  Having the oven on for a while will help to warm up my place.

Carol,  your Pizza Casserole does sound interesting.  You will have to let us know how it turns out.

Larry, do hope today will find you feeling lots better and not quite as tired out.  I know those coughs seem to just hang on and on.  Hopefully, the medicine will have helped and you were able to sleep better.  Glad Pat is better.

Good morning to you, Amy and Lloyd and Jane.  Jane, hope you are not without your computer for too long.  I do know when I have had mine in the shop, I get some much needed chores done.   Hope you don't have any problems getting to work this morning.  Sorry about Kiran's dog.

Hope every friend will have a great day.

Hi Everyone.  I am late getting here on this beautiful morning.  The sun is out and it is a beautiful day. I had a really great nights sleep and didn't wake up until 8 am.  We are not going to dinner at the Church tomorrow nightt.  Scott has volunteered to prepare dinner here tomorrow evening and Jennifer is going to pick up our grocery order from Walmart a little later this morning.     We are looking forward to it. I am still looking for some energy but the cough is definitely better.

Amy, no the bacon bits are in a sealed package that is refrigerated after opening but is sold in the grocery section before opening.

Thank you all for the good postings.  I will give you all a break from my usual book chapters.  No promises for tomorrow.

Gloria

Good morning everyone, looks beautiful out with snow covering everything. Not deep but still snowing steady. Started last night and no sign of stopping yet. A cold 20° too. From what was on TV roads are very slippery. Usually when a lot of snow is predicted they pretreat the roads, this time they did not think we would get snow here because the smart forecasters said it would be a coastal storm.
Just had a phone call, today's CNA will not be here today because of the bad roads and I do not blame her at all.

JUNE  hope those Santa Anna winds do not start more fires out there.

LLOYD  I remember when I would get groceries for 5 for under $15.00 now that  would not feed one for a week.

JOY  they did not pre treat the roads here this time because this far inland we were not supposed to get any snow. Those forecasters need to go back to school or check their instruments better.

LLOYD  I am thankful for Skype so I see and talk with my daughter every day.

LARRY  glad you finally had a good night's sleep.

Good afternoon, EVERYFRIEND!

We are back home after a wonderful weding weekend in California.  The weather could not have been any better.....the skies were clear the entire time and the ceremony rates at the top of my list.  The friend that married Megan and Mark made the entire ceremony so personable, as he has known Mark for many years and Megan for six years that she and Mark have been courting.

Mark was concerned about my getting around on the sand, so the  ceremony was done in the park and only those that wanted to and were able to went down to the beach for pictures and fun.

It was on Redondo Beach at Veterans Park.  A beautiful setting.....the big old trees there were amazing.  If you can check it out on line it is worth your time.

My thanks to you all for the kind words, wishes and suggestions for getting around on sand.

It was a surprise for Megan so was not told to anyone until the big day, but Mark gave Megan his grandmothers, (my mother’s) wedding ring.  Megan loved it.  I hoped she would...... it was the engagement ring with a nice sized diamond set in platinum with a couple of stones on the side.  The wedding band is attached at the bottom and has diamonds on it.  No one could believe it was a ring from a 1945 wedding, not only of the perfect condition of the set but the style as well.  Very classic.

Yes, LARRY, Mark and Megan will have to relocate about 3 hours north to the new job location.  The golf course is in Paso Robles, CA, but there are three towns right there that they could live in.  They will be going up this Sunday to look at three homes they are interested in renting.  He is to start  the first of March, but can start earlier if they can get relocated.  There are several hospitals around the area so Megan will have no problem getting a RN job there.  They are both very excited about this new opportunity.  They currently live in a suburb of LA, called Sunland, but are both thrilled to be moving out of the BIG city.  Fortunately they knew they would not be at the last job for too long, so they were able to rent month to month and the landlord is being very kind to them about the flexibility of being out of the place.  Because of the terrible fires that so many people lost their homes to, the man will have no problem getting new renters.

BUBBLE, I did resend the pictures to you and apologize for not making it clear as to whom it was being sent by.  Thank you again for posting them.

I have taken up much too much space in my post today, so will close with wishing you all a good day.  I hope those that are still feeling under the weather to feel much better soon.  I continue to suffer with my sciatica.  I do hope it improves soon as my worse time with it is in the middle of the night until morning.  Very painful as you all might know.

Driveway is sanded ,safe for all to use, two loads of wood in one in the house ,some in the garage and another one to go in where needed.

Jane, any word on your computer? I just got an email telling me my Apple account was frozen and unless I clicked on the link it would stay that way....it can as I do not have an account with them. ;D
David called to see how much snow we had overnight saying where he was they had 4inches.....we only had one if that.

Joy your apple turnovers sound delicious...hot with ice cream!!:)

Larry, thank you, I shall look next time we get to Costco.

Jenny, Mark and Megan's wedding sounded so nice and it was nice he could give her your mother's wedding/engagement ring.  It was nice of Mark to move the wedding off the beach so people would not have to cope with the sand.

Amy, some people think others are so gullible; I'm glad you don't have an Apple account so did not bite.  I've gotten so I look at the address of all "foreign" e-mails and most of those come in my Spam folder; I still look for the address.

I have been watching the State of the Union address. I am pleased. We have some very fine citizens in our country, it was wonderful to see them recognized.

Had a busy day. Three meetings this morning and one this afternoon, so I am ready to close down and get ready for bed. Have to remove my nitro patch and clean the skin, brush the teeth, wash my face, then into bed for reading and sleep. They are late in delivering my nite time dose of Albuterol, but it will arrive.

So my dear ones, I wish you a peaceful night and a refreshing sleep. God is watching over us. Hugs, Love and Prayers, June

Good morning everyone. Not going to be a day where I go outside again. All of 14° and I have already turned the thermostat up. I started shivering when I got up, couldn't get my warm robe on fast enough.

JENNY  I am so glad that the wedding was as perfect as could be. The rings sound beautiful.

AMY  we ended with only 3 inches of snow here but the roads were terrible, lot of fender bender accidents from slipping and sliding on them. My CNA who will drive in any weather called in to say she was staying home because of that. The manager did not show up here till almost noon. Good thing you did not click on that email. Who knows what would have effected your computer.

WOW no one else here yet?

Good morning everyone..

No new snow but -14 and a beautiful huge moon shining..

I go to the chiropractor this morning, pick up dog food, milk and drop off some empty egg cartons. Then home to wash floors.

Gloria, I don't care for this cold but it has been worse and I know next week they say it will be warmer.

Larry happy to read you are feeling better...

June, do you pick a different spot for the patch or does it go back on the same place?

Jenny, your welcome. I was amazed at the shape of some of those trees!

Better get a move on here

Enjoy your day everyone.

good morning Everyfriend!  I read everything yesterday and today but will probably only answer once a day. It's just too hard and too time consuming to type on this iPad.

Our temp this morning is 9 degrees and will only be up to 11 by the time I go to work. Gonna be a cold one today!

think it was Joy who said she gets other chores done when she doesn't have her computer. She's right about that. I do too.

Hi Everyone. It is another sunny but chilly morning here in South Carolina.  We are only to get into the mid-50's this afternoon.  I got off to a slow start this morning. I just took my last antibiotic, thank goodness, so hopefully in a day or two will start feeling a little more energetic.  There is nothing pressing on the schedule for today and plan to stay home all day.  Scott, Jennifer, and Jennifer's visiting friend, Elizabeth will be out this evening and we will be having tuna casserole as the main dish for our dinner.

Gloria, the "Six Undeniable Facts of Life" contain a lot of wisdom.

Jenny, glad you didn't have to deal with the sand.  That sounded like a very beautiful wedding and a nice trip for you all.  Nice that Megan has a profession that allows her to make job changes easily.  I hope they enjoy their new location.  Sorry to hear you are suffering with sciatica as have watched my wife deal with it several times.

June, you must be "meeting weary" after four meetings in one day.
