--Catch a Falling Star
Perry Como

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night
Just in case you feel you wanna hold her
You'll have a pocketful of starlight

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket (catch a falling star and-)
Never let it fade away (never let it fade away)
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket (catch a falling star and-)
Save it for a rainy day (save it for a rainy day)

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night
And just in case you feel you wanna hold her
You'll have a pocketful of starlight
(Pocketful of starlight) (mm, hm, hm, hm, hmm)

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket (catch a falling star and-)
Never let it fade away (never let it fade away)
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket (catch a falling star and-)
Save it for a rainy day (save it for a rainy day)
Save it for a rainy, rainy-rainy, day

For when your troubles start multiplyin' and they just might
It's easy to forget them without tryin'
With just a pocketful of starlight

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket (catch a falling star and-)
Never let it fade away (never let it fade away)
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day

Doo- lally- Pip

As age creeps up, then you may find,
It is playing tricks that affect the mind.
You are driving along, then without knowing.
Suddenly you have forgot'n where you are going.
How many times have you been heard to say,
I don't know what day it is today.
There's something important you must not forget,
So you write it down, but can't find it yet.
You go out shopping, didn't need a lot,
What you really went for, you have not got,
Never mind, you can always borrow,
Must remember to pay it back tomorrow.
Some time when you go to use the John.
By the time you get there the feelings gone.
When it's pill time , while you go get a drink,
Have I already had them, you then start to think.
You get to a stage when it becomes frustrating.
That brain of yours is just not rotating.
These are the signs of a popular quip.
I think I'm going doo-lally-pip.

Doo- lally -Pip is a well known slang phrase used in some parts of the U K for becoming a little forgetful in a nice way.

Forgiving is not forgetting. It's actually remembering—remembering and not using your right to hit back. It's a second chance for a new beginning. And the remembering part is particularly important. Especially if you don't want to repeat what happened.

Good morning..
Well snow found us!! Must be 3 inches of it and the snow is still falling.  Can't deal with it this morning as Kyle has two appointments one in the city and one on the way home.

Bubble, thank you for the new start and yes some memories are priceless. Nice work Phyllis..

Bubble we sang catch a falling star till we were starry eyed! Perry Como is one of my favorites.

Great beginning for March, Bubble, thank you. I'm with Amy about loving Perry Como & Catch a Falling Star. Totally agree with the wise sayings of Desmond Tutu and Haemin Sunim. Sad to admit I had to look up Haemin Sunim, not familiar with the name. Interesting person.

Phyllis, love the graphic & right in tune with what I've been doing lately... going thru stuff to sort & explain to my kids where it came from & connects to my ancestors. I know the computer has been a great help for chasing history but with all the changes in MY lifetime, it is showing the negative side by not being able to pull up what we "saved" on old computers/cameras/ etc. I have a lot of CDs & DVDs with copies of old photos & papers but computers are showing up without those devices now. What to do? Thumb drives & SD cards loaded with family history copied with the "close up rings" that fit the old 35mm cameras. So much to do to pass on the memories.

Gotta eat breakfast & be ready to greet #1 son when he finds time to install (hopefully) that new furnace filter. This house has the "whole house" humidifier so I bumped it up & slept better. Air so dry my hair followed the brush until I wet it down! Starting to get light, the days are getting longer. Hey, Amy, hope one of those stops today is for fun, the chocolate or cheese factory?  Sorry about the new snow, I would even trade you for one day of deep enough snow to slide down my hill. Never did get that air compressor to work to air up the Sno-nut when we had snow.  :'(

Now just someone tell me if "March comes in like a lamb" what happens? We have spring, some would say "shirtsleeve weather" but I'm not quite that warm blooded.  To be mid 70s today!

Cats are fed but Tiger didn't want hers so I put it up, Callie has been cleaning up both bowls & getting fat! She was limping yesterday so need to watch what she eats. She has to climb the pool fence when Rhodie is out & about & worry jumping off the fence onto the concrete around the pool (even tho it has grass carpet over it).. might be the cause.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  This day started off pretty good!

I'm up and attem
Frankie is off to work
Cooper had his walk.
I have the first load of wash in the washer.
We've all had breakfast.
And the rest of the laundry is sorted and ready to go.

I'm gathering all the stuff to do my vegetable soup but it will have to wait until next week because I need a trip to the store before I can proceed.  I have, however, decided to make AMY's Potato Bacon Soup.  I think I have everything to do that.  Don't know if it will be today or tomorrow!

BUBBLE, thanks so much for cleaning up after us and giving our SS a new look.  I'm als a fan of Perry Como and I have a CD with that song on it.  In fact, I pulled it out and I'm going to play it later.  I also liked the two pertinent sayings from the two famous people!

Now, I better get busy.  I think the washer just stopped and that means one load to the dryer and another one in the washer!  Also, still have to make Frankie's bed.  I told her not to worry about it when she's here that I have nothing better to do and I can save her some time!

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Thank you, Bubble.  And, thanks for the quotes.  I particularly liked the Haemin Sunim quote.  Lately some things haven't gone entirely successful and I tend to get frustrated.  I need to not give up and just keep trying to get things straightened out.  Doo- lally -Pip mentions a lot of the things that frustrate me the most.  <sigh>

Thank you, also, to those of you who mentioned you liked the graphic.

Sunny and supposed to be warmer today.  I'm looking forward to it.

Take care, All.

I just got off the phone with Gloria and she wanted me to tell you that her computer is out of whack until her son can get there to fix it for her.  He tried to tell her on the phone what to do and it didn't work.  We had a very nice talk and caught up on lots of things!  GLORIA, hurry back!

Good morning from the Interior! Yesterday's lite snow turned into a full day of flakes, with three inches total. According to the weather report, 21/22 snowfall is 66% higher than the historical average this far into the winter. They reported no snow expected through the seventh, but they also said that about yesterday!

Lloyd, it sounds like you'll be busy today, and Jane, thanks for the news about Gloria!

Phyllis, nice graphic and Bubble thanks for those words of wisdom!

And to Callie and Rammel,  :cup:  :metoo:  :cup:

I'm heading for the haystack!  I have to be up early every day this week to meet Cooper at the door at 6:30.  Every day gets something new in Frankie's job and she loves it more each day.  This was a very good change for her!

I got a lot done today and I'm going to finish it tomorrow....I hope!  Things are looking cleaner.  I finished 4 loads of laundry and vacuumed the whole house.  Tomorrow I'll swiffer the floors and do a bit of dusting!  I suppose I'm a bit out of order but it works for me!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!  Nighty night, Everyfriend!

Good morning..

Yesterday was a good day but tiring...I even left the snow right where it is and will deal with that today.

No chocolate or cheese shop as we went the "other" direction..

Jane, thank you for letting us know about Gloria. Must be so frustrating for her with her computer!

Better get ready for the dance..

Enjoy your day and stay safe...

Good morning, everyone, I'm up, fed, and inhaling my first coffee for the day, and Farrah has been fed and given fresh water. Yesterday I noticed that it was light out when I awoke at seven, as it is this morning and no more snow forecast. Other than that, I've got nothing.

Good morning, EVERYFRIEND 🦋  Ash Wednesday today, and another beautiful day in store for the Mile Hgh City.  A storm is forecasted for Friday, 😩 but this week sure has been enjoyable 🥰. I am definitely ready for spring🐝🐝

Good morning, PATRICIA.  I am enjoying my cup of Joe this morning also.  Cheers‼️  Happy there is no snow forecasted for your area‼️

JANE, I am pleased to read that Frankie's job is going great and she loves it‼️  That Cooper Boy sure is lucky to have you to spend the day with 😻

AMY, sorry for Kyle that your outing yesterday did not include the cheese and chocolate shop😩🤪🤪

I feel so bad for GLORIA, as I know she is missing being here and we miss seeing her😩

PHYLLIS, waving back at you 🥰. I loved your graphic 💕, it is beautifully done and so on spot💘

I am SORE, SORE today after a good workout at PT in the morning and a good workout at the pool in the afternoon.  Doing my very best to get this arm stronger 😩. My PT is certain that I have a palsy issue and she is most anxious for me to get the EMG test done on the 24 to see exactly what we are dealing with😩😩🤔

I wish EVERYFRIEND a wonderful day.

Snow has been cleaned up for now..it is still snowing but I hope not for long. Large parachute shaped snowflakes were gently falling earlier  but now it is a little more serious. Managed to break another shear pin :tickedoff:  but thanks to Kyle he fixed this one for me. :smitten:  Brought in 2 loads of wood so all is well for the time being.

Grocery shopping is no fun anymore. Empty shelves and high prices scare the dickens out of one. I mentioned this to Kyle and said I have no reason to complain when we see on the news what is happening overseas. One has a lot to be thankful for. We have our pantry well stocked and dogs looked after also with food/treats.

Better get the kitchen tided up ready for the next meal.

Amy reading your Post, Made me think of another statement. A persion said how sad they felt for there self, no shoes untill he/she seean a person with no feet. bottom line is most of us on this sides of the big pond are better off than we know. Nancy and I sure are better off than we were children. her and her famley lived on a  20 acer farm and her dad rasied a large blackbeay patch and they all had to pick the beaires and sell them, kept a small amount and cande them, they had one cow for ther milk and butter and cottage chese. a patoe bin in there celler and raised there owen patoes. I was the oldest of three boys, our fathe had left us an when i was six years the oldest of the three of us. our fathercame to see us one day and asked mom if he could get loose would she have him back. she said she would think and pray about it. that was on a wensday and on the following satuerday he was murrderd. we mooved next dore to our great grandmother and rented that house for a few years and then the Man that owened it told mom he would raise our rent $!. per month and she would be buying it I think that was a two year peirod we owend it. I delivered gerocreys papers and mowed yards to help put food on our table. we raised a garden and caned it. Lots of vegies and tomatoies. grand mother had a concoard grape vienuard a city block length long, short of the length of her house it was a city block long. there was two small creaks next to one side of town. us two older boys some how got fishing hooks and line and cut some stret mapel poles. and coughr bullhead cat fish,  and grand mother would dress them and cook them for us. in tose days the store keeper would sell fresh cows milk from one of there sons place.they bottled it in quart and 1/2 gallons jars.35 cents per quart and 70cents 1/2 gallon. we would pore it in a big around pan let the cream rise skim it off and churn butter. at first we had no fridge. so we wold lower the milk in a string in the well to cool it. this is enough for now see you later.

Lloyd

Amy

Lloyd, this was a difficult time for you and your family and it made you stronger. Same with Nancy and her family. All these trials you both came through prepared you for the future. I do think that all those qualities ,knowledge will be put to the test in the future. Those that don't  know how to prepare a meal without cans or boxes and not from scratch may be hungry.
