:)Good Morning Everyfriend!  Got word last night that my daughter and granddaughter from Maryland will be here overnight tonight.  This afternoon is the Memorial service for my young friend and then getting ready for company tonight and tomorrow and my cleaning lady on Tuesday while I'm at work.  If I don't get back, this is why.

AMY, Ladies night out was fun!

Good morning everyone, 33° and it is snowing right now, just a snow squall so the weather guesser said this morning on Palm Sunday. Does not feel like Easter is just a week away. I am so ready for warmer  temperatures and putting winter clothes away, especially the jackets.

JOY  you said it all so right yesterday morning about doing things tomorrow. We do not have to worry about having to do anything for others each day. Is that the joy of living alone? I wonder. It is getting so I cannot do much of anything anymore.

LARRY  I was wondering it the rollator would be too heavy for you to put in your car. With your health you do have to be careful. They are not light. Those poles carry more than telephone lines, all the electric ones too. It took one man to call attention to that pole to a TV station and the next day they replaced it. That pole could have fallen on his house.

JENNY  seems like National Grid does not have enough man power to do every thing they should be doing, If I had not seen the pictures of that pole on TV I would not have believed anyone would use duct tape to hole it together.

LLOYD  sorry your trip to Arizona will be called off. Sad about your cousin.

AMY  I would have my fries plain before putting all that stuff on them, yuck.

JANE  another busy day for  you.

Have a good day.

Live in Peace
(By Joni Ames)
[

I've cried to God as I've beheld
The world wrapped up in fear
Of lack and death and war that looms
To snatch lives held so dear

I said, "My God! - Have you not heard
The newsmen on TV?!
Do you not know the shape we're in?!
Do you not care for me?!"

"I'm scared, Dear Jesus! - Help us! - Please!
There's news of fear and war
And I'm afraid, Lord - I admit! -
Of what might be in store."

"Peace, be still, My child," He said
"And hear now what I say
For I have seen and heard the cries
Of those who, to Me, pray.

"Keep your eyes upon ME now
Not what you hear or see
And, as you do, you'll keep My peace -
IF your mind stays on ME!"

"I've told you there would be such times
When, of these things, You'd hear
I told you so you'd be PREPARED
And FULL OF PEACE, not fear."

"For all these things MUST be fulfilled
Yet MY WORD fails not
For I AM still your Hiding Place
As all the fires rage hot."

"You're hid beneath MY shadow now
And you can rest in Me
Yes you can trust My Words of LOVE
To last eternally."

"For I'm your Father, Counselor, Friend
Your Alpha and your End
And if this was the world's last day
Be sure, for you, I'd send."

"I've promised I'd save you a place
If you would stay in Me
Stay pure and faithful, eyes on Me
And, victory, you'll see."

"I can't tell you if it's 'the end' -
NO human man can know
But I CAN tell you, it IS close,
So be prepared to go."

"Each day I give you, reach in love
To share My grace to another soul
Reach out to all around you
And press on towards the goal."

"Occupy until I come
Live each day FULL in ME
Just keep your eyes upon MY face
And know that I DO see."

"I see the world, I see YOUR LIFE
And I DO care for YOU
And know, no matter WHAT occurs
My love for you stands TRUE."

"I'm Alpha and Omega - God -
I'm King and Lord of ALL
I'll be right near to care for you
As, on My name, you call."

"For I can change the hearts of Kings
And I, their hearts, do try
And I'M the one who formed this world
And says when it shall die."

"So, USE this time to SEEK THE LOST
And tell them of My Love
That they, too, may be saved and live
With Me, home up above."

"Don't listen to fear's voice - hear MINE!
Then STAND on what you've heard
Don't fear yours or the world's fate -
It's destined by MY WORD."

"Keep your eyes on ME, My Child,
And let Me wipe each tear
For I am God and IN CONTROL -
So live in peace, not fear."

Hi Everyone. We are having a rainy and pretty chilly morning and we will only get into the mid-50's today.  There is a low percentage chance of rain throughout the day.  I did attend my meeting yesterday morning and then stopped at Aldi's for a half dozen items.  Pat put together a really good Reuben type casserole using some of our left over corned beef, a jar of sauerkraut, sliced swiss cheese, bread crumbs and thousand island dressing.  This was layered and baked in the oven and was very tasty.  She made only a half of the recipe and it made plenty for at least three meals for the two of us.

Yesterday I put a program on my two computer and on the one I am sending to my SIL that allows me to take control of her computer.  I will be able to talk with her on the phone and show her what I was going to try to put in words.  Then if she has a problem I can see what she is talking about and guide her as well as do the maintenance on it. It was called Team Viewer.  It is going to save me hours of work and I will be able to ship the laptop to her perhaps even tomorrow.

I only have a few minutes before it will be time to go to Sunday School and Church so am going to make only limited comments here today.

Jenny, it is hard to go to Texas Roadhouse and not eat a couple of their delicious fresh baked rolls with the honey butter.  I hope your dad is OK and doesn't come down with this crud going around.

June, Pat worries about me and I worry about her so it sort of offsets.  How nice that they brought some live baby animals to your Easter egg hunt.

Lloyd, condolences on the loss of your first cousin and sorry that intervened in your plans for the trip to Apache Junction.  My folks wintered there for 7 years and I made an annual trip there to visit them each of those years.  That is a nice area.

Amy, our gas is going up here as well.

Gloria, I agree with you that it doesn't seem like it should be time for Palm Sunday and I hadn't even thought about it being so.  We probably will have a Church is mourning today as members lost their home to fire a couple of days ago and more importantly lost their 24 year old son in the fire. I have copied the "Live in Peace" posting to put in my devotional folder.  It is a really good one for the times we live in.

Good afternoon, We have had snow and hail so far to day. In Montauk they are having there annul St, Patrick Day parade, I cannot imagine standing out in this weather watching a parade. Also think about the poor marchers.

Yesterday was my first big day out. I went to a baby shower. One like I have never been to before. About 50 people a buffet dinner, with salmon, chicken and filet minion, plus  all that goes with it. Of course the cake, again plus a chocolate fountain.  It began with drummer and bag pipes and it ended with two guitars players, singing to the mom to be. I have to tell you, there last name is Holland.

Larry my nephew has just spent three days setting up my new CP. the board lights up, but I just have to get use to typing on a small board, also the screen is half the size of my all Vester, He has made the print larger, but It seems small to me,
I now cannot do without my pushmobile,  ,as I have to set down and rest every once in a while.

Lloyd, so sorry about your lose.

Gloria, I am also ready for Spring, if I was going out to Palm Sunday, I would be wearing a winter coat. Last Easter a friend was getting my garden read, for planting.

June, sound like you had a fun day. I wish we had a place around here, like where you live.

Hug to all my other friends in here

Home from a great church service...good singing by our Choir, good speaking from our Pastor, he is a truly inspiring speaker. You leave the Chapel "up-lifted" and ready to face whatever the day may bring. And right now my clock tells me it is time to get the body downstairs to lunch. Roast turkey for me, with all the trimmings. see you later.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

June Drabek

Came home from lunch with an over-loaded stomach, and slept the afternoon away. Did go out for a nice walk, then ate a light supper at home. Now it is time to the "getting ready for bed" stuff. Have to remove the nitro patch from my leg, brush the teeth, wash the face, take the breathing treatment, close down the computer, and read till I fall asleep. So I will bid you all "good night" and God Bless your night and your tomorrow, and we will look forward to meeting again tomorrow. Hugs, Love and Prayers.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good morning everyone..

Good morning everyone, looks like we might be in for sun today. 26° now and I sure hope it war ms up. I am so ready to go outside for fresh air without having to bundle up till I can hardly move. I think it is worse this year because February was more like spring and than Mar ch came with all those nor'easters, 4 of them in 3 weeks. At least the snow melted pretty fast, just the dirty piles left from the plows. A very quiet week end here, the witch was not here but today she will be back and we will all feel like we are walking on eggshells, afraid to move out of our apartments. What a horrible way to live.
Had to laugh, last week she finally took down the St. Patrick's day decorations and put up the Easter ones. No one volunteers to help her anymore. Christmas decorations were up till a week before Valentine's day.

Goodness where is everyone, Only Larry and June posted yesterday after I did and Amy his morning.

Hi Everyone.  After a chilly and damp day yesterday we are in for a cloudy and cool day today getting up to only around 55 degrees.  We have only three things on our schedule for today.  Pat has a 10 am appointment at the hospital for the bone density test she had to cancel from last week.  Then we plan on eating at Honey on the Rock restaurant across the road from the country club where the Master's is played.  Finally I have the laptop computer boxed and in the care to send to Pat's sister today.  Hopefully she will have it by the end of the week.

I don't have time for individual comments this morning.  I may come back later today and read what was said yesterday and offer a few comments or I'll join you all tomorrow.

It's a beautiful day in Netanya Israel and I can't get over how the cold has persisted .in North America. Our day started out at 18c, approx 68f and is now 24c, approx 80f. I hope it settles down by the time I am ready to come home.

Gloria, since March came in like a lion, maybe it will go out like a lamb.  And it's going to go out at the end of the week as Sunday is Easter - on April Fools Day, no less.  My radar shows no snow in New England, in fact, it is from Minnesota west.  It's about 30 degrees here now with the sun shining.  I hope you enjoyed your vacation from the "witch".  (Ding, dong, the witch is back, which old witch, the wicked witch of the west) courtesy of The Wizard of Oz.

Don, I'm glad you and Bubble are enjoying such nice temperatures.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I've had company since last night.  My Maryland daughter and her daughter are here.  The spent the night and we had breakfast together this morning.  They just left to go to the store and then they will go for a quick visit with my son who just happens to be twins with this daughter.

Frankie has a drs appt this afternoon and they will be back in time for her to have a short visit with Kiran (alias TLH).  They're buddies!  They're squeezing in a lot on a short visit.  They will return to Maryland tonight.

While they are around, I probably won't have much time to be on the computer so I'll be back when I can.  Enjoy your day!

It's me again today.  I am eating my lunch so decided I would come back and catch up on yesterday.  I was able to send the computer UPS on the way to Pat's test.  Shipping costs are terrible.  Our University Hospital not long ago bought another hospital called Trinity and it is two or three miles down the same road.  That was where we had to go and it isn't a busy hospital like the main campus.  There was no waiting and Pat was finished 30 minutes before her scheduled time.  It was too early to eat out so we just came on home making a couple of quick stops.  We will stay home the rest of the day and have some more of the Reuben Casserole from a couple of nights ago as there was plenty left over.

deAngel, nice to see you were up to attending the baby shower.  It sounds like those might be getting out of hand sort of like weddings these days.  The keyboard on my new Acer also lights up when you strike a key and stays on for a few seconds once you stop typing.  I really like that as it is not too light where I use it when in my easy chair.  Try using the control key and the mouse scroll up and down to increase or decease the size of the print. You might have to scroll across but it should help you see the print.  What size screen does your laptop have?

June, always nice to leave a church service uplifted in Spirit.  Do you have any trouble of finding where you have placed the nitro patch?  The one I use is clear and sometimes hard to remember where I put it to remove it for the night.

Gloria, I hope you can get outside for some fresh air.  Is your porch area covered and protected from all the snow so that it wouldn't be slippery?

Don, it sounds like you chose a good time to be away from Canada as you have enjoyed the weather there.

Jane, nice you can have even the short visits with your daughter and granddaughter.

Lloyd, you will be having warmer weather in Missouri today than we will here in South Carolina.  At 9 am it was only 44 degrees and it is only 48.  However, we have no rain today.

Lloyd Hammond

Larry it is at 12;12 P M 45º and rain (cold) I  fed the cows and went to the shop doing some scrapping. but the rain started blowing in on me. I was afraid  I would melt as I am so sweet, so I came to the house calling it a day out side.
Have a great day everyone.

I am grumbling again.......... I lost my post and I am very upset with myself.  When am I going to learn?

I went into the bedroom and started going through clothes and now I have a good size load to donate.

Now maybe I can concentrate and give this another try.

LARRY, happy to read that the laptop is on it’s way to Pat’s sister.  I know she will be so pleased to enjoy the gift you have given her.

JANE, so happy you have enjoyed a short but very special visit with your daughter and Frankie.

My dad has come down with the cold bug that many of us have had the unfortunate joy of having.  I am very concerned about him but thankful he is going to his doctor this afternoon and see if there is something that can be done for him.  He also got a call back from his dermatology visit last week and he has a basil cell that has to be treated.  He does not want to go to a doctor to have the MOHS treatment done on it as he had a very bad expierence awhile back and he does not like them.  He prefers to just have this dermatology doc dig a little deeper.....I hope to talk him out of this when he calls me after he has seen the doctor for the cold today. The other thing is he wants her to do it TOMORROW....and I would like him to get this cold taken care of first before taking on more.  Thank you for letting me air my concerns.....

I wish you all a good rest of your day.

Jenny, I am sorry your dad had a bad experience with the MOHS treatment.  I've had two of them, both successful and the second one included the next stage in skin cancer (I can't remember the name but it's something like "sarcoma" - it is not melanoma).  But when you get to his (and my) age, we decide what we want and no one is going to change our minds.  I agree with you that he shouldn't tackle too much at once.

Another lovely day has passed..we had a high of 69, but it seemed cooler than that me. I had planned to go down for crafts today, but……I fell asleep and missed out. I felt tired about nine a.m. so just lay down to read…..and you guessed it…Sleep !! I did go down for lunch and a good walk around the gardens, then to a movie at the club house. A movie about Jesus youth,  the Young Messiah. Then home for another nap. Had a light supper at home. Learned how to cook eggs in the microwave so has two boiled eggs, toast, sliced apple, coffee and an oatmeal cookie.  My night medicine girl just filled in my Albuterol so I will take that before I go to bed.

Larry, One of the six a.m. girls puts on my nitro patch and we are using alternate thighs now. When I did it i used my upper arms, but they got irritated..so the thighs are used. Ours are clear also, but they do have nitroglycerine printed on them, and the girls here put my name and date printed with heavy letters so they are easy to locate. I take them off just before bedtime and lightly wash the area.

Janie, I'm sure it will be a bit lonely for you when your daughter and granddaughter are gone. You have been a busy girl for sure.

Gloria, I can understand why no one would want to help the witch with decorations. She would undoubtedly criticize what they did for her. I'm sure you are looking forward to Spring weather so you can sit out doors in the evenings and visit…hopefully some will sit out as before.

Time for me to get ready for bed and take my breathing stuff. It takes 15 minutes of puffing away, and I do it twice a day. It does help with easy breathing.

Have a peaceful night dear ones. Love, hugs and prayers. June

Good Morning Everyfriend!  The family has all gone home.  It was busy here yesterday and Frankie and Kiran had a great visit.  I don't think they ever stopped talking!  I feel good about this association because Kiran is so much younger than the rest of my grandchildren that I was afraid she would lose the family connection after I'm gone.  But I think these two will stay in touch!

I'll be off to Wally World to do my shift later and while I'm there, my cleaning dynamo will be here so I'll come home to a nice clean house.

I better get busy......we need to do breakfast and cleanup and then a shower and get dressed and take care of whatever the dogs need.  I wish you all a good day.  Make it your own

Good morning everyone..

We could be in for wet snow and rain today. VON is coming and then  I need to nip into town for a few things. Yesterday was not too bad of a day ,weather wise it was lovely, a lot of snow melted leaving lots of puddles about. Clipped both these girls nails yesterday and just need to do the neighbours dog today .

Jane ,happy to read of your time with family and the girls enjoying their visit too. Have a fantastic day at work with lots of smiles through your line.

June, when the body says lay down ,lay down :) I have found that even though I don't want to obey it is better for me to do so.

Lloyd, hope you can take it easy today.

Jenny, hope your Dad is feeling a lot better and had good results at the Dr.s I know we all get set in our ways when we get older...some just a tad more stubborn in them too. :)

Gloria de, wow that was a different baby shower. I have been to some that even the Dad's were there.

I had better get a move on and get things ready for the VON..

Enjoy your day everyone.

Hi Everyone. I awoke about 3:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so got up early.  The only thing on the agenda for today is to attend our Prime Timer's Senior Luncheon at Church at 11:30.  We are to get to the mid-60's later this afternoon and little chance of rain.

Lloyd, being out in a cold rain or having it blow in on you in your shed isn't a good thing as you sure don't want to come down with a cold.  I hope the VA doctor gives you a good report today.

Jenny, Pat's sister is very excited about getting the laptop as don't think she thought that would happen.  I was very happy to find the program that will let me see her screen and control the mouse or watch as she does it to help her learn to use it.  Sorry to hear your dad has come down with that cold as you feared he might be doing.  Glad he was seeing the doctor.  It is too bad he doesn't want the MOHS treatment for the basil cell. I had that procedure done with very fine results.  I read this week that MOHS was the name of the doctor who developed the procedure back in the 1930's when dermatologists didn't do surgery and the surgeons didn't like having learn about the derma.  It wasn't widely accepted until the 1960's as I remember the article.

June, it sounds like you had a pleasant day yesterday and hope today will be the same for you.  It sounds like we probably use the same nitro patch.  I hadn't thought about putting a mark on the outside to make it easier to see.  I will have to put a marker in my bathroom drawer and do that before I put it on.  I also wash the area after taking it off as well as washing my hands in case there is any residual nitro on the edge of the patch that I might have touched.

Jane, nice that Kiran and Frankie have developed a relationship.  It is always nice to come home to a nice clean house.  We often have the same experience as will often leave before the housekeeper finishes and then come back after she is gone.  We trust her and she always is careful to lock the door.

Amy, I sure hope you don't get too much of that wet snow.  Going to a bridal or baby shower is something that has never been of interest to me.

Lloyd Hammond

Larry is the program cross loop?  that is what i have used with a teck. I do not reamber how to do it. Have a great day.

Good morning everyone, 24° and the sun is shining. Winter just loves us so much it does not want to leave this year. I am so ready to put wither clothes away, especially jackets/coats that can feel so heavy after a few months.

DON  old man Winter is sticking around to cause misery too long this year. Enjoy the warmth in Israel as well as Bubble's company.

MARY ANN  wish the witch would get lost at the south pole and never get back here. Any  one here who says they like her cannot be found. Feels like living in a prison.

JANE  visiting with family is more important than being here. As long as you come in and say hello we know you are OK.

LLOYD  better rain than snow.

LARRY  yesterday my CNA was telling me about a baby shower she went to Sunday and the food that was served. Must have cost more than what I spend on food for a couple of months. There is a front porch with a roof and they put wicker chairs out there in good weather. There is also a covered porch in the back  that is screened in. That is where we used to go on hot days. Very few sit outside anymore. The maintenance man does a great job keeping the front porch and entry cleared of snow. If the rescue is called they enter the front and that has to be cleared and not slippery.

JENNY  prayers for your Dad.

JUNE  no one sits out in the evenings anymore like when I first moved here. There are cameras all over and for all we know she can hear what is said, too.

Better go get dressed for the day before CNA gets here. Have a god day.

Gloria:  Thank you for your post - much is given to us!  It is just so wrong that a woman in charge of your place can be so evil.

Jenny:  Try not to worry - it is hard to handle the folks whether they are near or far - being far away does make it more difficult.  But --- when they make up their minds, it is so difficult to even talk to them.  Hugs to you - stay healthy.  I hope Bob is mending!

I am "up", but still feel sleepy. Had a shower, breakfast, dressed for the day.....I love jeans, and a lot of others here wear them too.

Gloria, I will be attending a program this morning. The lady will be speaking on elder abuse. If she says anything pertinent to your situation, I'll pass it on to you. There are various types of "abuse", and the witch seems to have her own style.

We have another sunny day..76 for the high.
