No, don't cook the tenderloin first.  Slice about a 1/2 pound of tenderloin into 4 slices, butterfly each slice and then pound each slice until it is about a 1/4 in. thick, bread it and then fry it.

Here is a link to a recipe for Tenderloin sandwiches.

http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/pork-tenderloin-sandwich

In a restaurant it would be deep fried but at home it would be easier to pan fry in oil and drained.  You can use any kind of "stuff" on it, such as tomato, lettuce, pickle, mustard, mayo.  I always liked it with lettuce, tomato and some mayo on a hamburger or kaiser bun.

The tenderloin is a lean cut but frying it in oil probably adds a fair number of calories.  But, who cares!   ;D

Gosh, I think I'm going to have to go buy a tenderloin....even though they are a little pricey.  I've made myself hungry for a tenderloin sandwich.

Sunny today but still too chilly to enjoy being out very much.  I would like a warm spring day for a change.

Oh Phyllis, I would never have thought of fixing the pork loin sandwiches that way.  They sure do sound good.

I thought you would roast the pork loin and then, when it was cold, slice it vey thin for the sandwiches.   Your recipe sure sounds good.  Would never have thought to have them hot.  I have fixed sliced pork with gravy and served over bread,  like a hot roast beef sandwich.

Will have to save this recipe, as it sure sounds good.

G'morning all, Just a few early birds i see !, lol, i just managed to have a few quick words with Lloyd before i popped in for my usual 'Look Around' , we have been missing eachother for the past week or two !, like you Joy, i hate getting up in the dark !, much rather roll over and go back to sleep !, thank goodness it has been getting lighter day by. for the past couple of weeks so i find it easier to make a move in the mornings !,spring 'in this part of the world at least, is well under way now, thank goodness.
                                                                                               Cheers.  Roley.  aka  Peter.

well i am not going to get into the breading mixture, that is your own taste.
I buy a loin at either Sam's club or local grocer store with as little fat as possible. then I sharpen my butcher knife very sharp, then cut about 1/2" thick
Not quite through then cut next 1/2" clear off that makes a good size buttery
slice. after i get it all cut up, I take large sharp knife slapping it as close as i can
by eye balling both directions not cutting through turn it over and repeat same.
that I think is better than a stake hammer for tendering it. I usual beat up eggs
with a little salt and pepper dip it in that and turn it in flower wit a little corn meal in it,works better for me than bread crumbs. Have a great day. we just fry it in cast iron skillet.

Lloyd, I like the idea of breading the tenderloin slices in corn meal.  I'll have to try that.

Hi Everyone.  We have a crisp and sunny Friday morning with no wind.  I did spend a number of hours yesterday working on the two laptops and expect to do so again today.  I about have them as I want them but still need to prepare some guidelines for my SIL on how to use the Microsoft Edge Browser and a number of other things connected to the computer and software I have on her computer.  The housekeeper will be here in another hour or so.  Pat and I plan on going to to eat out main meal sometime around noon.  Not much else going on here.

Phyllis, I guess the tenderloin sandwiches are just something that the middle of the country likes.  It has been years since I was where I could enjoy one.

Joy, our schools often close here when their is bad weather as the country roads are the problem since we don't have the snow plowing equipment.

Mary Ann, when I had the MOHs surgery several years ago he got everything the first time.  Each of the computers, the HP and the Acer have some unique features that I like.  The HP is a touch screen and the Acer has the lighted keyboard.  I hope these are the last two laptops I need to buy for quite awhile.

Jenny, Pat uses the rice bags often as they can be used cold or heated in the microwave.  They are very handy and she has made a number of them to give to people needing them along with neck pillows that are so helpful, especially while in the hospital with the miserable pillows they now use that are disposable.  I think the tenderloin is beat out very thin with a meat hammer and then dipped into a batter and deep fried.  That makes them bigger than the bun.  Last evening Pat put the corn beef into the Instant Pot and cooked it with the spices that were included with the meat.  It came out so nice and tender.  She then used the broth to cook a lot of potatoes, carrots and onions and they cooked very quickly with the steam.  It was a really good meal and there is enough corned beef for another meal and vegetables for several more meals. Pat will not be able to put the Rollator in the car and take it out so I think her driving days may be coming to an end and I will need to go with her when she gets out to deal with that walker.

Jane, so sorry about the friend passing away at such a young age.  Had she been ill?

June, nice to see you got some rain out your way.

Amy, we have a transport wheelchair but Pat doesn't want me to be pushing it and she does need to walk or at least shuffle along.  Glad your husband didn't have to wear that holter monitor for a month.

Joy, isn't the baseball season starting earlier than normal?  Are you a big baseball fan.  I haven't watched any games for several years but with the new stadium and the farm club of one of the major league teams opening here in North Augusta I may try to attend a game.  The city just voted to buy two shuttle buses that will help take people to the ball park so that may offer a way to get to the park as I really am not up to long walks.  We used to buy from Schwan's food and always found their quality good.  I always liked their ice cream.

Roley, I am like you in not wanting to get up while it is dark.  I hope you are doing well.

Lloyd, your recipe for tenderloin sandwiches also sound good.

Good morning every one, 30°, cold again. After a night of no sleep and going out yesterday I was one tired old woman when I got home. Was asleep by 7 last  night and 2 hours lat er the phone woke me. I let  the machine pick it up and whoever it was hung up. Of course was wide awake by then so read a couple of hours and back to bed. Woke at 9 this AM but at least feel awake.

LLOYD are you building that huge panel in your workshop or outside?

AMY  people here are razzing the governor for shutting down state workers before the last storm and parents and students are angry for schools closing the night before the storm was due.  The answers were better safe than sorry. They could have waited till morning before doing the closing. Like I said we had about half an inch, just enough to cover the grass and the cars.

PHYLLIS  still cloudy here, more than ready for sunshine and blue sky.

JANE  once again the weather guessers were wrong about the storm in our areas.

LARRY  hope Pat likes her rollator as much as I rely on mine.

JENNY  I like horseradish on a roast beef sandwich.

JANE  Sunday will be a sad day for you and your daughter.

JUNE  the smell of a spring rain has an aroma of it's own and I love it.

AMY  I know someone who loves catsup on roast pork sandwiches.

JOY  Schwan's ice cream is great.

PHYLLIS  there was a time here pork tenderloins were inexpensive but these days they seem to have doubled in price.

Have to get moving. Have a good day.

Don’t let go of hope
Nancye Sims

Hope gives you the strength to keep going
When you feel like giving up.
Don’t ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can,
You will have a reason for trying.
Don’t let anyone hold your happiness
In their hands; hold it in yours,
So it will always be within your reach.
Don’t measure success or failure
By material wealth, but by how you feel;
Our feelings indicate the richness of our lives.
Don’t let bad moments make a quitter
Out of you;
Be patient and they will pass.
By seeing them through
You will become a winner.

Don’t hesitate to reach out for help;
We all need it from time to time.
Don’t run away from love but towards love,
Because it is our deepest joy.
Don’t wait for what you want to come to you;
Go after it with all that you are,
Knowing that life will meet you halfway.
Don’t feel like you’ve lost
When plans and dreams fall short of your hopes.
Any time you learn something new
About yourself or about life,
You have progressed.
Don’t do anything that takes away
From your self-respect;
Feeling good about yourself
Is essential to feeling good about life..
Don’t ever forget how to laugh
Or be too proud to cry.
It is by doing both
That we live life to its fullest….

I'm home and I got two short registers today so I'm not tired up the gazoo!  Wednesday it took me all the rest of the day to recover.  I got lucky today and had a chance to talk privately with one of the CSMs and she told me they'll try to work with me to keep me on the short or slower registers.  We'll see how that goes.

Cathy is picking me up after work to go to the Amish store and when I get home from there, I'll be getting ready to go with my friend, Mavis, to her church for a "LADIES NIGHT OUT

JaneS I can relate to the fast to get tired. Not sure what your problem is but for me this getting old is not what it is cracked up to be.  I loaded 4 cables about
20 feet long and 2" in diameter with a clevis on one end and a eye on the other end for holding a lats crane boom up.  and I was wore slick. I think i am going to take the rest of the day Off and be a couch Bunny. Have a great rest of the day.

I don't know what I did but I couldn't finish my last message.  I was unable to type anything anywhere on my computer.  I must have hit something critical but I don't know what it was.  I left it sit and when I got home from the Amish store, I decided to just shut it down and then turn it on and it worked!  I don't know what I did but I bet LARRY knows!

Peter, it is always good to see your posts, knowing you have health problems like the rest of us here do. Our calendar says it is Spring, but it is still sweater weather for me. I wish our friend Lloyd would make up his mind it he is going to retire, or keep working too hard.

Janie, I am glad you had the short registers and I hope they will make that permanent for you. How many years have you been with WM now ? You should have seniority rights in my estimation.

We had a Sunny day today, but still cool enough for sweaters. I had a nice loving email from my Dori. Gary is in Riverside for a meeting of Pastoral Counceling. He received his Masters degree in that but there is always more to learn in our changing world. He will be home tomorrow.

I have had a nice relaxing day. Walking the grounds. reading, sleeping, and soon will be eating again. I brought home half my lunch so will reheat it for supper.

My housekeeper was here doing her best again. She always gives me a hug as well as a clean Apt. There are a few places that I tell her not to dust, like my what-not shelf containing delicate china, my computer desk, and the bookcases covered with plants. I can do that myself...I make the mess..i clean it up.

O.K.,time to quit chatting and go heat up my supper. Hugs everyone !!

As long as we are here, let's dance.

Lloyd Hammond

JaneS I do not know either but I at times had same problem and I do same thing as you did on and off switch fixes a lot of problems. Have a good rest of the day.

Sorry I was unable to post sooner as I have been driving all day, headed for Carey North Carolina to see PHYLLIS......I just “HAVTA”  have a Tenderloin Sandwich!!  WOW, they sound amazing and nothing like what I expected them to be.  Thank you for telling how you make them and for the recipe....I will be making this as soon as I can.

We removed the bandages from Bob’s “wounds” today......oh my! It sure wasn’t easy and the stickiness from all the tape was quite the challenge. The wounds look awful....they are to remain uncovered now until next Friday when he goes in to have the sutures removed.  This will not work at night, so we have to figure out some way to cover them for the night.  Just one more week and we should have the worse behind us and I can stop complaining to you all about it!

YEA JANE.  Short line at work today..possibility no more long lines again, Cathy picking you up to go to the Amish store and then heading to your friend, Mavis’  church for a "LADIES NIGHT”!  I hope you had a wonderful evening. I am sorry you have Sunday to deal with.  Very sad. Dotsie was much to young to be taken.  Thank you for helping me to realize that today is indeed a staring over day for Bob.  He is now on his way to healing....amen.

GLORIA, I like horseradish on ham too.

LARRY, I am planning to get a corned beef and cook it in the pressure cooker.  Glad yours turned out well.

AMY, I have so many of those “procrastinated” tasks around here....I just need to kick myself in gear and get busy on them.  I will you as my inspiration.  IF only I could do in a wee’ what you get done in a day, I could have this place ship shape in no time!

I just realized I was interrupted and forgot I have not sent this yet...so will say goodnight and wish you all sweet dreams!

Good morning everyone..

The snow missed us  our trip to the city was  uneventful yesterday. Didn't take long for the awesome team to fix hubby's hearing aides, we were in and out before appointed time.

Laundry day today and will soon be hung out on the line. May make a pot of soup after we go to town to pick up a few groceries. Pork tenderloin is on my list!

Phyliss thank you for explaining that. I usually do my tenderloin in medallions ,pound then dip in egg and then into soda biscuits that have been ground.

Jane, hope you enjoyed your Ladies Night Out. Short registers are a blessing and I hope that is what you get from here on in.Would love to go to the Amish store with you!!

Jenny,Vitamin E helps heal . I used to just take a pin and poke a hole in a capsule and put it in the incision...Usually when the incision starts to get itchy is the time to do it. Ask Dr. Dave about this and get his views on it.

Peter, great to see you here and hope all is well with you.

June, sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday..

Gloria, catsup would be good on them .I am not a fan of it but know others are. If I get any French fries I will put just a dap about the size of a quarter on my plate and dip my fry in it......just a taste no more.

Larry, I agree with the walking.I believe in use it or lose it .When hubby wasn't able to make the long walks in the hospital we did use it but now....he is a bit better .We may take his rollater if he needs to sit he can on the seat for a bit.

Better get that laundry blowing on the line.

Enjoy your day everyone.

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  The sun is shining in Central Pennsylvania today.  We're supposed to have temps up into the mid 50s and I can live with that!

I'm not sure what I'll be doing today but I started it off with "nothing".  That' sounds good for the while day.  When the doggies got me up for their first outing, I gave them their pills and set the boinger and headed for the couch!  I woke up next when the boing went off an hour later!  That was the best "nothing" I've been involved in for a long time!

I don't have anything pressing me to be done today.  Well, there are always jobs hollering at me for attention but they're the kind you can shut out and say "Later".  I figure if I put them off long enough, I may never have to do them.

I hope you all have a lovely Spring day wherever you are!

Good morning everyone. Another cloudy morning here and a chance of showers or snow flurries. 33° now. This is supposed to be spring isn't it? Just heard something interesting on local news. I telephone pole was hit by a truck a few weeks ago and a National Grid inspector said it was safe, he wound tape around it. and said it would be replaced in a couple of weeks. A neighbor took pictures and sent to a TV station. National Grid replaced it 2 days later.  Imagine a pole help together with duct tape while holding up all those wires? Glad this town has it's own electric department.

JANE  let's hope you do get the short and slower  registers more now.

LLOYD  being a couch potato is what I do best these days.

JUNE  when my CNAs clean in here I always tell them to stay away from the computer area.

JENNY  you are braver than me, I would have an impossible frame of mind working a bandage off anyone but myself. Never tried horseradish on ham.

AMY  with fries for most people around here it is malt vinegar on them. In restaurants where fries are popular the vinegar bottle is on the tables. First time I saw someone use catsup on them it shocked me, of course they were not  New Englanders.

JANE  doing nothing is what I do best lately.

Lessons From Joseph
(By Andrew Wommak)

How many of life's lessons have you learned through the "school of hard knocks"? I've certainly learned a few that way. They make great testimonies - if you survive them, but I don't recommend it. There's a better way! God's Word is full of the good and bad experiences of men and women of old, placed there as examples for you and me. I decided a long time ago that a study of those examples is a much better way and a lot less painful way to learn.

Through the study of their lives, I know I have gained the wisdom and understanding to make decisions that have allowed me to avoid many of the hard knocks that come through trial and error. First Corinthians 10:11 says, "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples [examples]: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."

One of my favorite characters is Joseph. Next to Jesus, Joseph may be the greatest example of godly character and integrity in the Bible. Joseph's story began with a dream at the age of seventeen. He knew the dreams he was having were from the Lord and that they revealed God's purpose and plans for his life. Genesis 37:6-7 and 9 say, "And he [Joseph] said unto them [his family], Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance [bowed] to my sheaf." "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me."

Joseph believed what the Lord had spoken, and he immediately announced it to his family: "God told me that all of you will bow down to me someday!" Some believe that Joseph made a mistake when he shared this vision, but I believe he was simply excited about hearing from the Lord and shared it in simple faith and humility, not arrogance. However, this bold announcement only served to draw his father's rebuke and feed his brothers' growing hatred. (Gen. 37:8, 10-11).

Joseph had heard from God. He now had a purpose, or a vision, for his life, even if it wasn't received by others. You were created for a divine purpose as well! God may not speak to you through a dream, but if you will become determined to know His plan for your life, He will reveal it to you. As long as you can live without knowing His will for your life, you will. If you're not fulfilled in what you're doing, even if things seem to be going well, don't wait any longer; don't settle for anything less than knowing God's purpose for your life. The Bible makes it very clear in Ephesians 5:17 where it says, "Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."

Not only will the pursuit of your vision bring fulfillment, it will keep you on track. Joseph's vision kept him on track during very difficult times and when faced with great temptation. Proverbs 29:18 says it this way, "Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint" (American Standard Version).

Your God-given dream, or purpose, will inspire you, motivate you, and help restrain your flesh in the absence of any evidence that it's coming to pass. And don't be surprised if some of your fiercest opposition comes from those close to you. It did for Joseph.

Joseph understood that what God had spoken to him and declared about him was true no matter what the circumstances indicated. Genesis 39:2 is one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture because it defies the logic of Joseph's circumstances. It says, "And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian."

God's Word declares that Joseph was "a prosperous man." This was at a time in his life when He was serving as a slave! His own brothers had sold him into slavery and told his father he was dead. No longer the wealthy, well-dressed, favorite son, Joseph found himself on an auction block in a foreign land, stripped of everything - including his clothes. His rich Egyptian master stood beside him with all of the extravagance that came with abundant wealth, but the Bible forever records Joseph as being the truly prosperous one. That's Awesome!

God views prosperity much differently than we do! Material things are not indicative of prosperity. True prosperity is knowing that God is with you. True prosperity is keeping His vision alive in your heart. True prosperity is not wealth itself but God's favor, anointing, and power that work in your life to obtain it. Deuteronomy 8:18 says, "Thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant."

Joseph believed he was prosperous because he knew prosperity came from God, not man. He had an image on the inside that was not affected by circumstance, and it enabled Joseph to operate in faith. Instead of licking his wounds and complaining, Joseph served others and ministered wholeheartedly to their needs. As he diligently labored, God blessed the work of his hands.

If Joseph could do it, so can you. You have the same power dwelling on the inside of you that raised Jesus from the dead. Joseph didn't have that. Begin to see yourself as God sees you, a prosperous person, regardless of your physical circumstances. Recognize and acknowledge the fact that God is with you, that you are anointed and highly favored. Serve others with all your heart as unto the Lord. Eliminate murmuring and complaining, and replace them with praise and thankfulness, knowing God will complete what He has begun in your life.

Joseph maintained his integrity. Recognizing the favor and presence of God in his life, Joseph's master soon appointed him manager over his entire house. Genesis 39:6 says, "And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favored."

Potiphar trusted Joseph completely! However, the master's wife began to solicit this handsome young man to lie with her. This had to be very tempting for a slave in his position, but Joseph refused to give in - no matter what the cost! He maintained his integrity, but it was not rewarded. In fact, he got just the opposite. In her anger at Joseph's rejection, Potiphar's wife lied to the master.

"And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife [false accusations against Joseph],... [he] took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound" (Gen. 39:19-20).

Joseph was able to maintain his integrity because he was not concerned with what man thought. He did not consider the benefits or consequences of his actions based on what Potiphar, his master, might do. Notice his reasoning in Genesis 39:9. It says, "How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

His main concern was what God would think. He understood that he was accountable to God and that the fulfillment of his dream was completely dependent upon God.

Joseph lived a God-dependent life, and he lived it in the midst of great adversity. He knew his future rested in the hands of the Lord. Psalm 75:6-7 says, "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another."

Joseph's life was about to take another turn. His dependence on God would open a door that would literally change history and become an even greater display of his character. The chief butler and the chief baker of the king of Egypt offended their lord, the king of Egypt, who then had them thrown in prison with Joseph. There they both had a dream but no one to interpret them (Gen. 40:1-7). Joseph demonstrated his trust and dependence in the Lord by stating, "Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you" (Gen. 40:8).

The Lord gave Joseph the interpretation, and both came to pass. The butler kept his job, and the baker lost his head. In spite of the miracle of these interpretations, the butler said nothing of Joseph for two years. Most people would have given up, but not Joseph; he knew God's plan would be fulfilled. Then the Pharaoh himself had a dream that all the magicians of Egypt could not interpret. God was about to take Joseph from rags to riches in one inspired moment. When the king learned of Joseph's ability to interpret dreams, he sent for him and asked if he could interpret his dreams. Joseph was ready. He confidently answered in Genesis 41:16 saying, "It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace."

Joseph, by the Spirit, interpreted the king's dream. Equally as important, the king realized the Spirit of God was in Joseph. His response is recorded in Gen. 41:39-40, which says, "And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou."

Promotion had truly come from God. Immediately, Joseph found himself promoted to a position of power, second only to Pharaoh. It's important to understand that Joseph had either been serving as a slave or was imprisoned for seventeen years after the time that his purpose was revealed and before it was fulfilled. It's so tempting to become weary or impatient and abandon the vision for an easier way. But don't do it and you'll reap. Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

If you continue to read in Genesis, you will find that Joseph remained dependent on God, and he never lost his way in the midst of such power and wealth. He kept his God-given vision alive, served others wholeheartedly, and remained totally dependent on God. Why, because he had a vision that had not yet been fulfilled. God was going to use this slave to save his family and a nation.

It was nine years from the time Joseph was placed in power before his brothers came to Egypt seeking help. Think of the options that were available to Joseph. If he wanted revenge, he could have taken it. He could have acted in pride and demanded an audience with his father and brothers, humiliating them and forcing them to bow before him. But Joseph did nothing; he refused to act in the flesh and remained dependent on God. How many of us would have exercised that kind of restraint? Not many.

Through Joseph's example, I've recognized the importance of seeking God even more when things are going well. Prosperity and success will test your character infinitely more than hardship! When you're in trouble and your back is against the wall, you know you need help. But did you know that success has corrupted more individuals than hardship ever has? It's prosperity that often causes people to lose sight of their God-given vision or to attempt to bring it to pass through their own natural ability. Even with extreme wealth and power at his disposal, Joseph waited on the Lord and watched in faith as He brought the dream to fulfillment!

"And when Joseph came home, they [his brethren] brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth." (Gen. 43:26)

The story of Joseph is power packed, full of wisdom and truth. I believe every Christian needs to study his story again and again...These revelations have changed me, inspired me, and helped develop character within me. I believe they will do the same for you.

Good morning,  Amy, Gloria, Lloyd, Jenny and Jane.  Nice to see the early friends.

It is a pretty, sunny, calm morning here in Central Maryland.   And, an added plus........ clear, blue sky.  They are calling for a little bit of rain or light snow flurries tonight, but nothing to worry about.  (hope they are right about that).

Nothing special going on in my neck of the woods.  Not sure what I will get into today.  I do need to finish up writing  a couple Easter cards to put in the mail for Monday morning.  I don't send many....... mainly the little great-grands and a couple friends.

Amy, I also am amazed at all that you can get done in a day.  I am like Jenny..... what I used to do in a day, takes me all week to get done now.  When you live alone,  you don't have to be responsible for anybody except yourself.  And, what doesn't get done today, there is always tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow.  LOL

Hope everyone will have a pleasant day and can enjoy some nice sunny weather, for a change.

Hi Everyone.  This is suppose to be a very nice day going into the 70's this afternoon.  I do plan on attending a meeting this morning and then the rest of the day is clear.  I will begin the work on preparing documentation to send to my SIL on using the new laptop.  I talked with her yesterday and she encouraged me to take my time and not stress over the job so will try to do that although once I determine to do something I like to get it done.  I discovered last evening that the problem I was having with the Acer laptop was that the mouse I was using was failing.  I changed that out and no longer had the problem.  I have things laid out for Pat's breakfast and didn't need to empty the dishwasher this morning as we ate our main meal at Texas Roadhouse yesterday and it was delicious.

I loaded the new rollator in the car trunk yesterday and decided it was going to be too heavy for me to handle getting it in and out of the truck as it brought on the angina.  So I will get it boxed up and return it to Costco on our next visit.  In place of it we will get a second light weight walker for her to use when she goes out that we can leave in the car.  I am sorry this isn't working out but it is what it is and she would need a heavy duty Rollator, which is going to be too heavy for me to handle.

Gloria, officials having the responsibility to shut down school and offices due to bad weather have a tough time.  Had the storm developed as expected the Governor and school officials would have been praising them. Years ago at my office in Atlanta we were told that a bad storm was on its way over from Alabama.  My boss waited too late to dismiss us and it took my car pool over 5 hours to get home and many people had to spend the night in their offices as it was too bad for them to get on the roads.  It was a nightmare.  From then on he was much more cautious and would dismiss earlier so we could get home.  I had a similar experience working in Washington, D.C. when we were hit with a heavy ice and snow storm.  I rode the subway out to the final stop but the train couldn't make it beyond the next to last stop.  We had to get out of the train and stand on the open depot platform until a bus got there that could get us on to the final station where are cars were located.  As you saw above Pat isn't going to be able to use the rollator. I knew duct tape was very useful but holding together an telephone pole might be pushing the outer limits. I think that telephone lines will soon be a thing of the past with most people now having cell phones.

Jane, I hope your manager will come through for you and let you work the short registers in the future. I hope you enjoyed the Ladies Night Out.  Sorry I don't have an answer for you as to why your keyboard quit working until after you rebooted.  Sometimes computers just seem to have a mind of their own and stop cooperating with us.

Lloyd, that sounds like very heavy work you did with the cable and that you needed someone their to help you. It sounds like you will have a nice day weather wise with it being a bit warmer.  I hope you all have a nice trip to Arizona next week.

June, it sounds like you had a nice day yesterday and must have been feeling pretty good.  It is nice when the housekeeper finishes and everything is nice and clean again.

Jenny, I bet you will like the tenderloin sandwiches.  I hope didn't have too much trouble keeping his wounds bandaged during the night.  I am sure it will be slow days until next Friday for him and a great relief to have the stitches out.  The recipe that Pat had for the corned beef called for it to be cooked for 90 minutes in the Instant Pot under pressure.  It sure did make it tender and tasty.

Amy, glad the snow left you alone yesterday and you had a successful visit to have the hearing aid fixed.  I have always used a lot of catsup.  I want my fries and eggs pretty well coated and not just a taste.  When Stacey was living she was often hospitalized and I struggled to make the walk down the long corridors.  Fortunately they had some benches along the way so I could sit down and rest for a minute or two.  I am very sorry that the rollator isn't going to work for Pat.

Joy, it seems that we get done what has to be done in a day and many others things will get done over several starts.  Nice you are getting some better weather up your way.  Enjoy the sun.  We are still overcast here at almost 9 am.

Sandy, what a nice response by all of those people.  I have a feeling they're not all young people, in fact, I notice a woman carrying a young child.  The woman isn't very old, but she isn't a high schooler, either.

I haven't heard about anything in my area, however, I'm seven miles from downtown where the activity would would be.

There were thousands.....
a giant gathering of every age...
many with their dogs...  kids,  Mom's Dad's,
teenagers,  and Grand Parents  etc
(the works).

I am very proud of most of the people in our
country.... not so the creeps at the top.

I am so lucky to live on the corner of the
main street in our town.     This is where
the action passes by  !

Good job by all participating in the
"MARCH FOR OUR LIVES"   campaign !

Denver

A good Saturday HELLO.

It is a beautiful day....sunny and nice and the temperatures are going to be near 70!  Whooo Hooo!  I just want to get out in it to get me some needed vitamin D!

The bandaging job lasted very nicely over night. I am getting really fed up with STICKINESS.....but what would you do without it?  I sure appreciate all of your kind comments.....makes me feel so not alone in this process!  Thank you.

AMY,  I remember using vit. E as well after stitches....it helps to smooth out the skin.  I was very faithful to rubbing a vit. E cream on my wound lines after my hip and knees and it really did smooth them out.  I am sure Dave will approve, but not until the wound is healed, of course.  They do not want you to put anything on it other than Vaseline or this Aquafore.  No antibiotic cream at all.  I am tempted to want to put some on, because there is redness to the wounds, but they say it is a no no! Thank you for your suggestion.

LLOYD, where will the wedding of your granddaughter be in Arizona? I bet you two will enjoy being in the warmer temperatures....I know we sure are.

LARRY, I am sorry to see you are going to have to return the rollator to Costco, but I certainly do understand why.  I had to chuckle as Bob and I went to a early dinner at Texas Roadhouse yesterday also.  I just was craving that chicke; fried breast.  I brought 3/4 of my chicken home as I really splurged and ate 2 of the rolls as they tasted so delicious.  I have to stay away from those carbs but I just could not control myself! We neither have had much of an appetite, and nothing has really sounded good....but I thought of the chicken and off we went!

SANDY, you really do have a nice view on your world!

JOY, I guess we really are lucky that we can just turn our head and say “mañaña” even though it is driving me crazy that I have just let some thing go!  I remind myself that Amy and Jane would not do this! Hahaha.

GLORIA, just the thought of a telephone pole being duct taped together is a frightening thought!

I guess I had best get up and get something done....I am thankful that my cold is so much better, but reminents of it still remain!  Gurrr.

I noticed my dad was sounding like he is coming down with a cold and it sure makes me concerned.  He said he does not really feel too bad and is not sure he is getting a cold, but that is exactly how mine started out too......

Have a good rest of your Saturday EVERYFRIEND!

Jenny, dear girl..don't be so hard on yourself. You have not been well yourself for some time now, then you did all the nursing of your husband, so any procrastination of tasks can just be blown in the wind. You have had more than enough to take care of. One day at time.

Larry, I am sorry the rollator didn't work out for transporting it into the trunk. They are heavy, I know, but they have to be for the job they do. Your health is far more important. Pat needs YOU more than a rollator.

We had a WOW of a day here at Rowntree Gardens. Bigger than last years Easter egg hunt. I spent a couple hours just strolling around, then sitting, then more strolling. They even had a fenced area with a live little goat, a dozen or so rabbits and chickens. It was very popular to both the little and grown up kids. They also served the tastiest barbecued hot dogs. cold drinks, coffee, cookies, sliced apples, potato chips…..a regular carnival…even some dancing. Balloons all over the place, a balloon artist…..he could make animals of the blown up balloons. I had a early lunch of their goodies came home, and took a nap. Still yawning so may need some more shut-eye before supper-time arrives.

Sandy, I saw the march this morning, but I don't know what city it was. Just packed with folks of all ages. Must have been thousands of people.

I can't stop yawning and it's still early afternoon out West, so I'll go plop down with my book, closed eyes.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good morning everyone..

Not a lot on the agenda today other than rest. May start another quilt as I finished the one yesterday. Gas is going up here again and really no reason other than greed. On the west coast it is now 1.55 a liter here it is 1.22 at the moment.

Joy,there are days I don't always get done what I thought I would ,yesterday was one of them.  I did catch a lot of zzz's though in the afternoon.

Gloria, some folks also like to put mayonnaise on their fries too! Here we have a dish called poutine where you get a plate full of fries then mozzarella cheese cut up over it then hot gravy poured all over. Talk about a cholesterol nightmare!

Lloyd, hope you can relax today.

Jane, how did the Ladies Night Out go?

June, you had a fun day!!Lot of excitement to enjoy.

Enjoy your day everyone..
