Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

I thought I'd left a post today but don't see one. Had a pretty good day, programmed phone numbers into my new set of phones. THAT is a big job! Next is to figure why my carpet cleaner didn't squirt water last time I tried to use it, nearly 7 years ago or more. I wore out a Hoover, no, two Hoover carpet cleaners, then bought a Bissel with heater for water, for pet hair, etc.... used it once on that blasted kitchen carpet. Then had the open heart surgery & by the time I tried it again a few months later, it didn't work (or I forgot how to operate). 5 months after my surgery Cas died & within a month I had that kitchen carpet torn out & hardwood floors put down. Put up with that carpet for 28+ years & hated it but Cas couldn't stand the thought of the mess, and it was a mess. But once it was out I had no intention cleaning any other carpet in the house until now.

Old Ms Callie cat hid out in that master bedroom/bathroom & can't find where, the smell was worse in a sweeper that gets used on the grass carpet around the pool, guess I didn't clean it good last time (YUCK), but want to go over each section of the carpet after I wash down the white woodwork. No spots so not sure why the smell, but want to use it as a guest room so gotta clean it. Besides, I need to move more! So tomorrow I will give it a try, was worn out dragging it up from the storage room in the basement. Big plans! I was going to buy a black light to show up any cat leavings, but son said he had one & somehow we never think about it when together... always other problems. Anyway, I'm fired up...haha.. that a slight exaggeration!  Ever see a snail in a hurry?  High hopes, remember that song? Time to feed cats last meal of the day, guess I'll keep them inside tonight, supposed to have big storms after midnight. Hope this ambition lasts through the night.  ::)

Sweet dreams, God Bless. As June would say, "Give your worries to God, he will be awake all night anyway"....

Re" "Next is to figure why my carpet cleaner didn't squirt water last time I tried to use it".
If you can find where it squirts from you could try putting a warm wet cloth over the opening (nozzle).  There might be some dried old detergent/chemical from a prior use blocking it. Give it chance to soften residue.
