It's bedtime again, I have had sleepy eyes all day just cant seem to keep them open.  I think it must have something to do with the drops I use.

At any rate, I hope you all had a good day.
Good Night, God Bless and Sweet dreams

Amy

Good morning everyone..
Yesterday was a good day, didn't get a lot of shopping done but managed to buy a few gifts. Dr. was pleased with hubby and he doesn't have to go back until July!
Today is laundry day ,not sure if I will be able to hang it out  but hope so.

Gloria, sounds like you had a fantastic time with your family. That jacket sounds lovely.  I don't know about you but I love leftovers, that means no cooking just heat and eat!!

Lloyd, Thanksgiving comes but once a year and you will soon work off those extra pounds.

Larry, I did manage to get a few gifts .They are starting the Black Friday sales up here now too......but not with  the frenzy you have there..if people only realized the sales will continue to Christmas so no need to push and shove! Enjoyed reading your senior humour..thank you for sharing.

Hal, I did have a good fire going and have another one on this morning Temp is 38° F at the moment. I hope to hang my laundry out but will wait and see what the day looks like once it wakes up.

Sandy, Fe is growing up so quick!!!

Mary Ann, I have never had a dog that is so placid as her, I think you can put her in a room with 100 children and she would love it!! You can do anything with her, check her teeth, medicate, darn near turn her inside out and she doesn't object.

Carol , do you think you will get any of those panels? They do have free patterns to go with each panel  too.

Joy ,sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your Thanksgiving with family and friends. I agree with you on needing the next day to recuperate...once the home routine is broken .

Jane, our Walmart wasn't packed when we went yesterday, now maybe later on it would have been but I like to go early and beat the crowds.

June, I for one love reading your posts....human or not... :) You are allowed off days, we all have them. At times it is just one or two days but at times they come in herds. Nice though when everything goes right and it is then a sun shiny day.

Callie, love the "new" look....great photo of you!!

Gloria de, I love watching that dog show a lot of beautiful dogs .

Don, hope you had a lot of happy children on your knee.

Shirley ,that Alzheimer's is a nasty disease, tis so sad to watch this happen.

Miss Joan, hope she will soon stop in to say hi..

Better get the laundry started

Enjoy your day everyone..

Good morning Everyfriend!

AMY, it's colder here than it is there!  When I got up it was 28ºF and it's gone up 1 degree since then.  HOORAY fr Hubby!  He got a good report!

I said I was going to veg out last night but I did find something constructive to occupy my time.  The trukey carcass that my daughter was going to toss came home with me.  I put it in a big pot wits some water and let it simmer.  Last night, I picked the meat off and I have enough for one recipe of doggie food....FREE!  Then I cleaned up the kitchen including the floor and took the doggies out one last time and went to bed,

June don't worry about the "crabbies".  We've all been there.  When I'm finished with mine, it's easier to get on with my life.  I'm often glad there's no one around to see how I act when the commonplace of life gets me down.  I usually end up apologizing to the dogs and to God for my actions and then getting on with LIFE!

I've decided that today is the day to get the coconut cups done.  That might be all day, off and on.  So I better ged dressed and get started.  Enjoy your day Everyfriend.

Amy Christmas and the new year is right behind. and the pounds go on easy and come off hard. and also I spend too much time getting modevaded to burn them Off. exercise is not my best now days like when I worked 18 20 hours a day. Have a great day.

Lloyd

Gloria

Good morning everyone, hope everyone's tummy is ready for food again after the feast on Thursday. I think I will be ready to eat today.

LLOYD  wish I saw a gain of 3 pounds  when I step on my scale. I am sure you worked those pounds off when you started working yesterday.

LARRY  when my son picked me up Thanksgiving morning he had the radio n the car on and of course there was Christmas music playing. I had not watched theMacy parade for several years and was so disappoiinted in what I saw of it this year. Have not watched the Rose parade in a few years either but maybe this year I will, those floats are always beautiful if one can see all of them with all the commercials. Love the list you posted yesterday, #6 sounds like me.

HAL  that trooper killed in Texas was on the news yesterday. So sad. Hope you start sleeping better, sleep is so important for everyone. Oh yes I really enjoyed the time I spent with my great grandson. I remember his Dad and grand at that age.

MARY ANN  your spices not double for 2 pies reminds me of the time I made a blueberry pie and forgot the sugar. My FIL teased me about that for years. My little one is now a chatterbox. I still feel guilty about not helping with a group meal on holidays. After the meals I was always the one who washed the dishes. To me that was the easy job. I love that S&F is an internationl spot for us. Without the computer I never would have seen places all over the world.

CAROL  I taught my sons the basics of cooking and cleaning house as well as my daughter. I did not want them to feel it was only a woman's job.

JOY  I was glad I went to my grandson's for Thanksgiving but by the time I got home my back was in agony from all the sitting. I knew that would happen and I know it will be the same at my son's for Christmas. At least there I know if it gets too bad I can ask my son to take me home, he is only 3 miles from me. Like you it will take me a couple of days to rest up from going anywhere.

JANE  nothing like seeing family any time.

JUNE  you are not the only one who feels like a cranky old lady.

AMY  only time I use my microwave is to heat left overs. Hope today I am ready to eat the ones I brought home. Yesterday I had to almost force myself to eat anything.

Hi Everyone. I awoke to a 32 degree morning but it is now sunny and clear and the temperatures are to go up to the mid=60's this afternoon.  I hope to go to a meeting this morning and then spend the rest of the day resting and watching college football as this is the last regular Saturday of the football schedule and many schools play instate rivals.  Clemson and South Carolina play as do Georgia and Georgia Tech.

Yesterday we did finish up all of the Thanksgiving left-overs for our dinner last evening.  Pat didn't go out to shop but did participate in Black Friday from her easy chair.  She has become quite a proficient shopper from that location.  She ordered several Christmas gifts including her own from me as she found what she wanted, one of those special  cooking pots that does a variety of things. So the majority of the Christmas shopping is now done other than to write some checks.

Hal, I sure hope the increase in your water pills helps you breath better.  On the news yesterday morning they showed one of their reporters at a Target store in New Jersey and it appeared to be relatively empty.  Of course she wasn't' standing where the electronics or toys were but they took a shot up an aisle and there was only one person to be seen.  I see that Jane said they were not slammed yesterday either so have to wonder how much early openings and the shopping on the Internet has impacted the store sales this weekend. It seems like a lot of policemen are being killed now.  We have had several here in South Carolina and Georgia killed fairly recently.  I did read that Amazon Fulfillment Center works in several places in Germany and I think France had gone on strike yesterday for better wages.

Sandy, I don't always agree with all of the things said in some of the postings but know that we each can take what we liked and leave the rest.

Mary Ann, I stepped on the scales this morning and they just groaned, which I thought was rather rude!  I like candied yams, especially the marshmallows on the top.

Carol, glad you liked the words of wisdom.  I hope Don is getting rested up.

Jane, sure hope you didn't have an exhausting day at the register yesterday.  However, I bet the evening crew on Thursday night were kept quiet busy.  Did your store sell out of the low cost electronics Thursday night?  Nice you could spend a little time with your granddaughter and daughter.  Your son and grandson couldn't have had a better pay than a nice couple of hugs from you after they cleaned up your yard.

June, you haven't missed anything by not getting out and participating in Black Friday sales.  I think the Black refers to the fact that many businesses depend on these sales and this time of the year to have a profitable overall year.  I hope you feel much better today.  I can't imagine you being crabby but we all have our moments.  Have you seen the cartoons of Maxine, the Crabby Lady?  They are great.

Amy, those are the type of doctor visits that everyone wants when they say we don't need to comeback for 6 months or so.  I told Pat last night as we ate the leftovers that I thought they were actually better than they tasted on Thanksgiving.

Jane, Pat also boiled the turkey bones and made broth for some turkey soup later.  She has always done this.  I love things made with coconut.  I have a memory of my paternal grandfather always buying little golden coconut filled candies at Christmas and some of the old fashioned Christmas candy.  I haven't seen any of these little pillow candies for many years.

Lloyd, all of that hard work has earned you the privilege of not working so hard anymore and doing more of those things you really enjoy like watching those Westerns.

Gloria, if I could I would gladly send you three or more pounds as I would never miss them.  I can't even imagine what my life would have and would be without the computer.  It has greatly enlarged my circle of friends and kept my mind reasonably active and sharp. Perhaps at Christmas you could excuse yourself and go and lay down for a little bit to rest your back.  I am sure your family would understand.  I am not hesitant to excuse myself and rest when I need to in the afternoon or not stay up late anymore.

I have mentioned Maxine, the Crabby Lady a couple of times today.  If you need something to do today here is a link to some of those cartoons--just click on the first cartoon to enlarge it and then you can use the arrows to see other cartoons:  https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=A0LEVjjvfxlahaUA7joPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTByMjB0aG5zBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw--?p=Maxine%2C+the+Crabby+Lady&fr=yhs-iba-1&hspart=iba&hsimp=yhs-1

CallieOK

Good Morning,

This is the first day in about two weeks when there isn't some place I need to be at a certain time.  Hooray!

Amy,  thank you for the comment on the new avatar picture.  It was taken when we had family pictures made while Miss Ellen was home last June .

Larry, I relate to Maxine the Crabby Lady!  One of my friends used to have post-it notes that read "Thank You For Not Being Perky".  Umm hmmm.

Jane,  I recently read about a Wal-Mart that is using those virtual "binoculars" (I don't know what else to call them) to train staff.  Have never seen a pair but I think they're like the driving simulators - videos that make it look as if you're actually in the scene.  Any such thing in your area?

Mary Ann and Gloria,  I can relate to your spice/pie situations.  I once made a fancy banana pudding and forgot to put the bananas in it.

#2 son texted that he used cornbread mix to make the dressing for their Thanksgiving dinner.  He forgot that the mixes have sugar - which no authentic Southern cornbread would ever have.  His comment was "Yuck" and he "apologized" to the family tree.   ;D

I had to hustle my bustle this morning to get two birthday cards in the mail for arrival on Monday. Started to drive to the cluster mailboxes at the end of the block in my robe but suspected this would have been the one morning "all" the neighbors were out walking....so I didn't.

Last home games for both OU and OSU today.  Timing is such that I could watch both games "from whistle to whistle" but I'll probably be back and forth doing other things until the 4th quarters.

Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere an Enjoyable day.

Mary Ann

Amy, Tom and his family had a Golden about 20 years ago and she was a doll.  Of course she was; she loved me.  The minute anyone walked into a room where she was, that tail when up and down and side to side.  If she wanted to go for a walk, she’d come to me and put a paw on my knee and I’d get up and we’d go out for a walk.  I think she never met anyone she did not like.  She got arthritis so bad they had to put her down.  I still miss her and probably always will.

Gloria, I think I gained only 1.5 pounds over Thanksgiving and I was careful Friday and I’m back to normal.  Still too heavy, but I did not retain the weight from Thursday.  I once made a cherry pie from a can of tart cherries, not a pie mix, and we all puckered our mouths.  However, I lifted the crust and sprinkled some sugar over the cherries and all was well.  I like tart apple and cherry pies, but there is a limit to how tart I want them.  That was too much.  Callie, Ha Ha about no bananas in a banana pudding.

Larry, I think online buying has had an effect on holiday shopping now.  I know I will not be doing any mall shopping now and if I shop online, that will be it.  I have given money for a few years and that is what I will do after the first of the month; I know my families will appreciate getting money early so they can use it for their own shopping.  And I don’t mind.

Larry, I love the Maxine cartoons.  I couldn’t read the captions so saved the link in hopes I can make the print larger.  She is something else, one of a kind.

Tom and I are going to the Gerald R Ford Museum this afternoon with a friend and her son.  I have been there several times but Tom said the other day he had never been there.  I think Tom will enjoy the museum.

Mary Ann, you are a darling for caring about me. Thank you. I have been hoping all year that God would give me 93 years. Three has been my favorite number for as long as I can remember……no special reason, but it looks like my gift, and I will rejoice with all my heart. An old,old prayer just popped into my head…." Dear Lord, of these three things I pray, to Know you more clearly, to follow you more nearly, and to love you more dearly." Isn't it a gift to have thoughts still come back to us ??? I am writing this on Text Edit Mary Ann, and if I have to leave it to do something else, I can save it on my desktop, and it will stay there till I choose to use it, or if I decide to add to it or just delete it. What irritates me is if I am typing something and hit a key that I didn't want, my whole message just disappears somewhere. I have a feeling most of our computers are alike, if not in name, or title of program, but they all do pretty much the same thing…….onward and upward.

Amy, thank you for your kind message. Your dog that you wrote of reminds me of my Petey. He loved me, and I could feel it…..I loved him too. Both my Mom and my husband went the path of Ahlzeimers,so I know how rocky that path can get.

Janie, I am so thankful we have a God that understands our failures to remain thankful, and He forgives our weaknesses. The Devil is always there working to undermine our love and faith for our Creator. It only makes us more thankful to God who rescues us.

Larry, I can sure relate to "Maxine" at times, but I'm glad she is not related to me. ;)
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Amy

I wasn't able to hang laundry out today..we did get some rain. On the upside when we came home from picking up hubby's meds the neighbour had left a message, would we look after our baby (their dog) YES!! Love him as if he was our own and I ended up bringing him over for a while. He is so sweet and gets along with these girls.

Going to put my feet up for a bit.....where is Hal???

Denver

A good Saturday afternoon hello to EVERYFRIEND.

I enjoyed reading  all of the posts telling of your Thanksgiving Day activities.  Sounds like most everyone enjoyed the day and all of the delicious meals that you all enjoyed.  JUNE, I am sorry your meal was rather tasteless.  We joined Dr. Dave’s Family and a family visiting them from Lake Oswego Oregon.  Our meal was excellent and feel the turkey was the best I have ever had.  It was so moist and just perfect.  Two different kinds of dressing of which both were excellent.  I had the easy part of the meal.  Candied yams and the jello salad.  We took along a couple of bottles of cocktail styled bottles of apple juice for the children and the whipping cream.

Sunday 3 of our 4 sons and families will all gather for another  Thankful Meal.  The oldest son that lives in Boston was in Vail for Turkey Day, and the youngestspent the day at his in laws.  Mark was not able to come home as he had to work.  We will all be together again the end of January when we gather in Southern California for Mark and Megan’s Wedding.  Plans are being made by all s9 we can be there.  M6 dad has declined to attend due to his ill health at this time.  We offered to go to Phoenix and drive him out, but he feels it best to just sta6 at home.

JUNE, just a few more days until OUR shared Birthdays.  I am sure honored to share the day with such a wonderful lady.....and what a beautiful 93 year old you will be❣️

SHIRLEY, ever so often we find ourselves searching for an item, like your big pot, only to remember that we parted ways with the ite:.  Sure wish we had remembered sooner before we searched for so long!  Your meal sounded so yummy....I would loved to have shared some of your noodle soup.  I did not get any left overs....bones included, so not pot of soup for me this holiday! Boo Hoo.

We got our outside decorations put up yesterday and finished up today.  Now we can start on the inside.  Anymore it take twice as long for us to accomplish a task as it used to.  We have had nearly breaking record temperatures recently! So took advantage of this to get the decos done, even if it is a bit earlier than we normally do.

I hope you all enjoyed a good day.

June, unless I am going to write a short message, and it seems impossible for me to do, I have been writing my replies in Word.  That way I can go between Word and S&F without worry of losing my message.

I just wrote a long message in Norm’s Boat & Tackle about my afternoon.  Tom and two friends and I went to the Gerald R Ford Museum downtown.  I had not been there is years and it was very enjoyable.  Afterward we went to a Mexican restaurant.  Tom brought me home and the other three were going to go to a movie.  I’m not one for movies these days so I opted to come home.

Mary Ann

Amy, I too was wondering about our Hal.I recall his saying he was very tired from the outing yesterday. Your neighbors are so fortunate to have you so willing to watch their doggie and I know the dog is thankful to have you.

Jenny, it has been a delight to share  our Birth date. You are still my Tisie though, and I love you being you

Mary Ann, I am SO glad that you have Tom with you, and I am so happy for Tom that he has You ! It is like Tom is your very own son. A Blessing from God, for sure.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

I did not mention in my post that I have been wondering about Our Joan?  Did I miss something telling that she was not going to be posting or is she not do8ng well again, I wonder?

Do hope Hal is OK....  sure do worry when our friends do not post.

Have a wonderful evening.

I came by to see if Joan or Hal had posted, too.  I hope they are just recovering from Thanksgiving activities.  I've stopped and said a prayer for both of them a couple of times today.

And my days activities are over.  I finished the coconut cups and have the ones packed that are earmarked for gifts and some extras for the mixed bags that go to certain friends.  Now I only have some smally amounts of certain peoples favorites to do and about 10 pounds of peanuts to roast and pack.  I always leave them for last so they stay fresh.

I even managed to squeeze in a short nap this afternoon.  The zzzzs just wouldn't let me alone.  Some of them even came in the kitchen and nudged me.  Now I think I;ll go see if there's a TV show that I might want to watch and them I'm off to bed.

Sleep well my friends and may God bless us, every one.

Thanks for your concern.  I spent the day "trying" to get a nap in but to no avail.  Had another one of those nights, finally got to sleep about 6:30 and woke at a little after 8AM.  I have been fighting to stay awake for the past hour.  Just took my final med for the night and finally going to bed.

Callie you ought to be a happy camper tonight, both OU and OSU won.  I watched most of both games.

I did check the board one or twice today but really didn't post cause it seems all I do is complain anymore and I know you all don't want to hear my complaints.

Hope all of you had a great day.

Nite, nite, God Bless and Sweet Dreams.

Lloyd Hammond

well I was just up for a nature call was planning on going back to bed, but Nancy got up and made the bed so I guess I will go take a shower and get dressed and go to the recliner for a nap only 5.5 hours according to the tattle tail on my breathing Machine. Hope you all have a good day.

Lloyd

Amy

Good morning everyone...

18° here this morning and no new snow that was called for. A day of rest here .

Lloyd, you will have to grab cat naps during the day..

Hal, you do not complain, we were worried about you. I hope you feel better and soon ,it is not nice when our get up and go ,gets up and leaves us for a bit. Hope tomorrow brings you answers from your Dr.

Mary Ann, Golden girl also has arthritis in her back end and has trouble getting up or just turning over when laying down. I have bought her boots and tried different wraps and socks but nothing seems to work . So we just take it one day at a time and I help her when needed.

Jane, bet you are happy all that is done!! Hope you can rest today.

Enjoy your day everyone..

Not resting today, Amy!  I'm off to church right now and then need to make a stop at WM on the way home.  Hope to finish up the candy so most of the stuff can be stowed foe the season.  I still want to make gum drops....one of my favorites.

Yay!  Hal reported in.  Now if we'd hear from Joan!

AMY Thanks that is great. thanks for shearing, I will be passing it along also.
It is 36º and very bright sun here. hope you have a day just as you like it.

Gloria

Good morning everyone, a nice sunny one here and warmer than usual to start.  Supposed to get windy and colder as the day goes on. right now it is 49°.Been years since I had a Dell PC but still get catalogs from them. Yesterday got a small one with a $700 one on sale for $329. Hmm wonder how good it is. Seems like every day there is something on this one that is not workingf right.

LARRY  with my family if candied yams weren't served they would be disappointed, just like having fresh cooked cranberries. Remember the days of buting frsh coconut and cracking it open ? Last time I bought one it was all dried out inside and had to throw it away. I enjoyed having a computer from the begiining when my son gave me his old IBM.  If only I could acdcept your 3 or more pounds I would be happy. I feel like a walking skeleton these days. With a house full of people and a little one running around it would be hard to find a place to lay down. I love Maxine and have a folder on the external drive with some I have saved over the years. Thanks for the link, I have saved it and will look at them when I finish here.

CALLIE  I also love your new avatar. Unlike you I have 1 place to go before Christmas. Getting to the point it takes a couple of days for me to recouperate anytime I have to go out. Had a chuckle about your banana pudding without the bananas.

MARY ANN  bet my daughter would have enjoyed that tart cherry pie. She loves the tart Granny Smith apples and will even enjoy eating a lemon.

JUNE  back when I rist started in Bis' busy nest I had a problem posting and Oscar told me about notepad and the copy/paste and that is what I have been using ever since.

AMY  my older son's last dog I always said was my girl. Had dogs all my life but there was something between us that clicked. When she heard me drive into their yard and she was in the house she would go to the door to go out and she would run to my car and try to get into it on my lap talking to me the whole time. She was an Australian shepherd and a good size girl. She would follow me around like my shadow.

JENNY  glad you enjoyed the day. Best part of holiday meals is being with family.

HAL  glad you did post. Now to hear from  or about JOAN and every one will be accounted for. I know how those sleepless nights are.

LLOYD  hope you got more sleep.

AMY  like your post.

Good Morning Everyone!

Well I am up, shaved, teeth brushed and look almost human.  Had a so-so night but woke up at 7 so I could get ready for church.  Nice morning here Amy, lots of sunshine and coolish.

Janie, sounds like you have a busy beaver day ahead of you.  Nothing earth-shattering planned here.  May watch some football, but I doubt it.  Maybe a good movie if I can find one.  We watched an old Clint Eastwood movie last night, a little cornball in spots but what the heck.

Lloyd did you ever get those tires mounted on your tractor?  Hope you are feeling better.

Amy we had a Chow a few years ago and like your pup she was a jewel, Never knew she was around unless someone cam around.  She lived forever and had some bad aches and pains, so bad she could hardly get up or down.  When we took her to the vet to have her put down he had trouble finding a vein he could get into.  I always feel so guilty when I have an animal put down, makes me feel like I am playing God.  But seems animals live so much longer now.  Used to be if you had an animal six or seven years it was remarkable.  And seems like something always happen to them and you never had to put them down.

Callie, you still celebrating, don't see you on here this morning.  Are we on for next Saturdays TCU/OU game.  Ought to be a good one.

Everyone have a great day.

I've been to church, stayed for coffee hour and a nice visit with friends.  Then made a quick stop at WM to get the rest of the stuff I need for finishing the candy making (might do that today).  Also picked up some lunch stuff for the week.  Now I'm going to rest until lunch time, eat lunch and then decide what gets done.

someone found my glasses and turned them in!! I CAN SEE AGAIN!!!

Good Morning,

Tried to post earlier but internet connection quit.

Hal,  I was glad yesterday's games weren't the nail-biters of the past few weeks.
Of course, we're on for the OU-TCU game next week.  Go Sooners!  :)

Need to "hustle my bustle" to get to church and OTL.   :dogrunning:

Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere an Enjoyable Day.

Back from church, stopped by Taco Bell and picked up a couple of their 5.00 box deals.  Holy smokes they give you plenty and it was tasty.  It is a bargain.

Lloyd you luck runs about like mine anymore.  I think you told me that those tires are tubeless, hope your rim is good with no leaks.  If you have a problem with them (rims) guess you can always buy tubes, if they still make them.  I made Sears mad at me one time. I had just bought new tires for my car and the wife got a nail in a sidewall and Sears wanted to sell me a new tire because you couldn't patch a sidewall.  I told them to just put a tube in it and they informed me they didn't sell tubes anymore, so I told the wife to go next door and get one from Firestone and take it over there and let them put it in, which she did and they were kinda put out, she said.  Tough, I wasn't going to throw away and band new tire because of a nail.

Not many folks at church this morning, must have been out of town for Thanksgiving.

Hope you all are having a good day.

Good afternoon, sunny day, but very windy again.

Hal. good to see your post.  My sleeptime is pretty bad also, I go to bed about 1 and wake up again about 2:30, watch TV till about 6 and then sleep till 9. I know crazy hours.

Joan, hope we see a post from you soon.

Jane, now adays I could never keep up with you. with my nephew still here, I have a hard time thinking what to have to eat every day.

Amy thanks for that post, I like what the 15 years old had to say.

Gloria, glad to read you had such a nice time with your g.grand.  I do not think any of my grands are ever going to get married, so I will not live to see a g.g.  They are now 31, 33 and 34.  All have birthdays in Jan.

June, I am always happy to read your post.  You soon will be catching up to me.

Hugs to all my cyber friends, and if any of our old friends are still looking in, we still think of you and miss you.  Come on back.

We stopped by Safeway on the way home this morning and bought coffee plus some cooked chicken wings for Don.  I remember when grocery stores were not open much on Sunday and also when meat was not sold after 6 PM.  It was the Labor Unions in our area.

Amy:  I thought I wrote to you but cannot find my post - the panels are wonderful.  I have some fabric that is all birch trees and perhaps could use that for framing an animal?  Just a thought.  Meanwhile, I continue to make a million (overstatement) fabric tissue holder for purses - they use the small size refills.  People seem to like them.  I could give a stack to the church sale as they make a small gift.  Also, I have the fixings for quilted pot holders - using the fabric normally used to make ironing board covers so no fingers get burned.  Another little gift that takes minutes.  Both grandsons use my pot holders - I get such a kick out of knowing they like to cook.

Hal:  Like your story about the inner tube incident!

Callie:  Games don't always have to be heart-stoppers.  It is more exciting though.  Enjoy!

I am signed up for genealogy lectures and DNA classes beginning January.  What is wrong with me?  One slow day, I thought it sounded so good and now - people are talking about visiting us.  It is more fun to visit.... a little tiring though must admit.

Gloria de:  Nice to see your post.  You sure are mixed up with your sleep.  I hope you can gradually turn that around.  I take 1/2 of an over the counter sleeping pill and that is just enough to help me go back to sleep.  sometimes, a ten-minute afternoon nap is mandatory and other times it isn't needed.
