Good morning, Amy and all the other friends.   A rainy morning here this morning.  Supposed to be rain most of the day.

I have another busy day ahead of me.  A nurse visit and also physical therapy.  I could never have kept up this pace a few weeks ago.  I still am amazed at how much energy I have now.  I feel so blessed.  Unfortunately,  I won't have time to get my hair done today.

The swelling in my legs has gone down quite a bit.  And, yesterday when I was at the computer, they were not swollen at all. Hopefully, it is heading in the right direction.

Amy, so happy your power is back on and you can get on with all your normal activities.

And, Jane, and all the others, hope your day is a good one.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  And a special good morning to AMY and JOY who beat me here today.

The doggies and I slept in this morning until 7:10 and it was already daylight when we got up.  They've had their pill and we're waiting for the boinger.  Having my time with coffee and friends.

This week and next week are my last two evenings to work at WM and I'm pretty sure I'll be coming home in the dark both days.  I work until 8.  It's less than a mile on back roads though and I'm familiar with it.  At that time, there's very little traffic so I'm OK with it.

I guess I'll make the call to the insulation guy this morning and get on his list.  It will be interesting to observe two things after he does his job...is it really warmer and, am I really saving money.  I'll have to save a lot on heating in order to make up the price of the insulation.

I'm going to check out a few other items on this computer and then it should be time to feed the doggies.  I hope you all have a special day today!  Make it your own in every way!

Good morning everyone, another start at a cold 48° now. Hope the with will have the maintenance man get the heat on when she gets here. This is horrible to be so cold in our homes. She has a nice heater in her office and it is placed between the window and her desk so she can turn it on and be nice and warm. As Joan would have said -time for  "geemagotchees" to be warm. From what I see of the sky  looks like another  day with little or no sunshine.

JANE  ham chops? I have had smoked pork chops here, taste like a smoked shoulder, very tasty. There is an Aldi's about 12 miles from me but not many go there. Both of my sons went once to check it  out ad left without buying anything.

OH GOODIE I can hear the furnace running, turned my thermostat up. Paul[maintenance man] must have turned it on as the witch is not here yet. He is more thoughts seniors than she is. She will be yelling  a t him AGAIN.

AMY  so happy for you to have power back. Not easy living without it. It has happened to re  and had a small woo stove to cook on, glad I had 2 Coleman latterns for light. Love every thing in your meal,  my mouth is watering of the thought of all of it, even the tapioca.

Commercial for Myo health supplement. Supposed to make our muscles work like they did when younger. Another supplement to get folks to spend money on something that doesn't work.

JANE  today I have in mind to get my CNA help me get my winter clothes out  and put some summer ones away that I will not be we a  ring again till next year.

AMY  I love cooler weather but do not like over dressing in the apartment to keep warm. No frost here yet but it will not be long now.

JOY  glad you are feeling so much better. I know PT works and had it twice in my life.

JANE  I know my walls at my son's house were not insulated and in the winter the walls were cold.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Everyone. We have a cloudy morning and expected to be partly cloudy all day with a small chance for rain.  I had a better day yesterday than Saturday although, as they say, not something to write home about.  I didn't do as much coughing yesterday but experience that extreme exhaustion.  I did get a good nights sleep.  I only have two or three small things I want to accomplish this morning and then will take it easy the rest of the day.

Pat's new walker did arrive as scheduled yesterday but I didn't feel up to getting it out of the box and assembled.  Mainly it is putting on the front wheels and the back brake type feet.  I am anxious to see if it is going to work for her as it only weighs 12 pounds.  I also need to shred up another pound of cheddar cheese.

Gloria, I hope you do get the heat turned on this week.  Unfortunately, I am still not feeling very energetic today but at least not wheezing and coughing.  There was an interesting segment on the "60 Minute" program last night about how the Dutch prevent floods since most of their country is below sea level and how many of the ideas would work here in America and ultimately save billions of dollars and the disasters falling the families caught in the floods. Glad to read that your maintenance man doesn't have to shovel the snow off your walks but can use the small snow plow.  It sounds like your former FIL was a pretty kind hearted man who loved to treat his grandchildren. Hope you did get the heat on this morning.  Is that a big job for the maintenance man or does he just have to do a switch.

Jane, I had wanted to go out to eat yesterday but by the time we would leave to do that I just wasn't feeling like getting out.  So Pat heated up the lasagna and fixed a vegetable and we stayed home.  As I have frequently commented I shop at Aldi's a lot and save quite a few items.  Of course we do our online grocery shopping from Walmart and I can see in the future that I may stop going to Aldi's.

Amy, glad you are back in business with the power.  When we have had outages I often find myself trying to switch on the lights from habit.  Do many people up your way still use the wood cooking stoves?  They would be a rarity around here although there might be some farms left with them. I spent most of the morning and afternoon laying down and went to bed at 8 pm.

Joy, it sounds like you all need to keep the umbrella's handy with the rain in your area.  If you have any excess energy I know a man who would really appreciate your sending down this way.  :)

Denver

HELLO from Boston!

We arrived here safely on Saturday Night.  Yesterday, Sunday, we joined our family at their parishs’ 14th annual outdoor Sunday Mass followed by a picnic and fun games for the children.  It was delightful.

We spent the rest of the day visiting, playing with the boys and enjoying a delicious meal together. A friend of the family was passing through on her way north for business and joined us for dinner.

Today we have been getting instructions for the time that we will be watching our grandsons.  Bob seems to be comfortable with how to get to their school, the swimming pool for lessons and the like.  Sadly, if I were to be dropped off at the end of their street I might not be able to make my way back!  I can handle food preparation, so I think the boys will survive!

It has been cloudy here today, and feels rather cool to me.  It snowed in the Colorado Mountains this morning!  The trees have barely started turning here.  Tomorrow is to be raining and much cooler.

I wish you all a good rest of your Monday.

Mary Ann and Larry did you watch golf yesterday, I found it exciting, I thought the crowds were going to get out of hand and run over Tiger. It was nice to see some of the other golfers wait to greet him They never use to do that.

Jenny I hope you have nice weather, my DIL is coming down from the Cape to morrow and we are going go have a Nor' easter.

Gloria, as I wrote above I guess you will have the same weather.  Lind will take the Ferry in New London, hope they do not cancel. Seems when ever she comes down it is bad weather.

Joy, I am so happy to read of the progress you are making. Thanks be to God !

Sunday was a lost day for me….in bed most of the time, and sleeping most of the time, except at night. I had just four hours sleep, so felt today would be a bust too..it was most of the day. I ordered lunch to be brought to my room and the food really perked me up. So I got out this afternoon and it was great ! Greeting good friends, getting and giving hugs and kind thoughts. I even went to the Elmwood building where a good friend is recovering from a shoulder replacement.

Larry, be wise, do not push yourself beyond what the body can sustain. We need you well and with us.

Gloria de, I pray your weather will be good for your DIL's trip down, traveling in a storm can be tragic at times.

Now it is time for a light supper, and hopefully a full nights sleep later on. God Bless you my dear ones. I love you so much. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Mary Ann

Gloria de, yes, I did watch the golf yesterday and it was so exciting toward the end when the crowd cheered at every move that Tiger made.  I do think he's changed his attitude and is more receptive to the fans; in the old days it was more like he expected to win and the heck with the fans.

Mary Ann

Shirley

I had a couple naps today to make up for few hours last night, so doing a little catch up in the kitchen.

I called DorisA today, she sounds just as perky & ornery as always, a joy to visit with.  She mentioned trying to call you, Gloria, but the number wasn't working.  Maybe that phone you put back in the box?  ;)

Anyone interested, I did add a couple more photos over in Photos.... more colorful mountains. Jenny & Carol, I do love your mountains.

Amy & Jane, I just e-mailed the recipe for your mustard to my daughter.... one son absolutely loved it but the other has a taste more like mine & not so crazy about any kind of mustard.... one little zing is enough for me.  The time went so fast we really seemed to race from one meal to another.

Amy, glad you have power & internet back, a bit different when we go to the mountains & prepared to have none.  More of a "game" to cook & build a fire to sit around.  Not trying to do any work.  I keep hearing we will have a hard winter... anyone know what the "woolie worms" predicted this year?

Better get the rest of my "to-dos" done, I'm sleepy in spite of the naps.  God Bless!

Lloyd Hammond

Good Morning everyone.
Peter I tried to send you a email but it kept losing the cursoriness and so I gave up to leave you a message here. I went with friend Bob to a farrier. he took seven of his horses and had there shoes removed and there feat trimmed. when we got home i called Nancy and had here pick me up at his house and we went looking for a jack mule. never found one yet but Sean several good mules, but only Mare and gelded ones. we did get a name of a man may have one so we are going to go look him up today and see if he has one we can buy it. have a great day everyone. see you later.

Lloyd

Amy

Good morning everyone..

Liquid sunshine here this morning. Put a fire on just to take the chill out, don't know if it will be an all day fire or not. Furnace man is to come this morning to clean and make ready the oil furnace for winter.  The electrician is also to come but with the power outage he may be tied up with those that need him most and that is ok. I can wait.

Shirley, this mustard has a wee bit of a bite, that is why I only use a skiff of it on my food. I do put a 1/2 tsp of it in my potato, macaroni and less in my egg salads.

Lloyd, good luck in finding just what you want in a mule.

June, glad you felt up to getting out and about..

Jenny, have fun with the grands

Larry, June gave you sound advice.. which goes for me too!

Gloria, did anything come of the meeting back in the spring/summer to tone down that witch? So happy to ready you have heat on.

Jane, you will feel a big difference once the insulation is blown in.

Joy, so nice to read you are feeling much better.

I had better get things in order as the furnace man will be here shortly.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning everyone, 47° this morning, a bit warmer than yesterday. More rain for us here today, as if we have not had enough of it lately. This is the 3rd Tuesday in a row for rain. Oh well better ice or snow so early.

LARRY  wow I never heard of a rollator weighing only 12 pounds. Is it just a walker or a rollator? Not many here using the walkers anymore, now they are all using rollators. When I moved here 4 year s ago there were only 2 other s that had them. I have no idea what Paul (Maintenance man) has to do with the boiler/furnace to start it after the summer. Last winter was the first year with that small plow, before that he had a snowblower and a shovel on the porch. It was only my 3 children that my FIL took with him, he didn't bother with any of the others.

JENNY  it really has been terrible weather since you arrived in Boston and more rain coming. We have not had a frost yet and the leaves usually start changing after that. By October color should be showing more. Hope we have some good weather while you are here in Boston area.

GLORIA de  from what I heard on the news this morning we could get up tp 2 inches of rain today. Hope your DIL makes it to your home before it gets bad.

JUNE  hope your friend has as good a therapist as I had after my right shoulder replacement. He made it fun with the jokes and laughs.

SHIRLEY  Doris has my landline number and it is working. Maybe she called at one of the times Cox was down again. It happpens too often for us here in the building and we cannot change carrier. Seems Cox is the only one allowed in all the senior housing here.  I did check your first postings in Photos.  The Aspens are beautiful but I love the one with the water runing over the rocks. Reminded me of some places here I have seen. Will check out the new ones later. I have not ween any of the wooly caterpillars yet.

LLOYD  you are still looking for more animals so how do you plan to retire and start traveling?

AMY  we will have liquid sunshine later, has not started yet. Glad we have heat again and starting to feel good in here again. My CNA put my AC away yesterday and I have my room back in order again. Nothing happened from that meeting but they must have had her on the carpet because she if trying to be nicer.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I feel rather foolish right now.  I typed a nice post and when I tried to post it, Gloria had beat me in so I went back, typed a short addition to Gloria and erased my entire post.  Is my face red or what!

Anyway, AMY (and now GLORIA, too) we also have "liquid sunshine" here.  It started sometime during the night and is supposed to continue until sometime around 4 this afternoon.  The only good thing about it is,  I'ts NOT snow!

I have a contractor calling me back today about the insulation.  If he has a price I can live with, it looks like that will be a go before winter sets in this year.

LLOYD, I said the same thing Gloria did....It doesn't look like your going to retire and travel if you're in the market for more animals.  Or are you going to take the mules with you?

I have a bunch of stuff lined up to do while I wait for the contractor to call back.  I took some tilapia out of the freezer to cook for dinners today and ahead.  I haven't decided what I want to do with it yet or what will go with it.  Any ideas?

We are getting up a bit later these days due to the fact that the doggies are sleeping in until daylight pokes through.  I wonder what will happen when we switch to DST?  We shall see!

That's all I can remember that was on the post that is drifting around in space.  I wish you all a good day.  Make it your own whatever you do with it.

Hi Everyone.  We are to have another partly cloudy day getting up to around 90 degrees again this afternoon with very little chance of rain.  We didn't get a drop yesterday.  Our main activity for today is for Pat to see the GP for a regularly scheduled appointment around 10:30 this morning and then we will go from there out to have our main meal of the day.  We haven't been out to eat since the last Wednesday night dinner at the Church if I remember correctly.  Nothing else is on tap for the day.  I did feel a lot better yesterday afternoon and did not have a recurrence of the wheezing and coughing and I am hoping today will be even better.

Jennie, it sounds like you will be kept busy during your time in Boston.  I hope you have some nice weather up that way while you are there.  I have forgotten how old these grandsons are.  I am sure it will be a special time for them as well as for your and Bob. Do you have a GPS in the car you are driving or on your phone in case you get a little lost in Boston.

deAngel, I did watch the golf on Sunday and was a bit shocked when the lead went from 5 ahead down to 2.  Guess that added a little excitement.  That point system must be something else to determine the Fed-Ex Cup winner for the year and the ten million dollar prize.  There were certainly a mass of people following Tiger.  I hope have some nice weather for your DIL's visit. I hadn't heard about the Nor'easter headed your way.

June, glad the food pepped you up on Sunday and that you were able to set out in the afternoon and getting some hugs.  One can't get too many of those.

Shirley, I will try to remember to check out the photos you posted.  I saw the first set and what a beautiful place you stayed.  No wonder you like going there so much.

Lloyd, hope you are successful in your search for the jack mule.

Amy, that must be some powerful mustard if a 1/2 tsp is all that is needed in the potato and macaroni salads.  Pat usually puts some mustard in the dressings for those salads as well.

Gloria, I bet you have the ice and snow well before you all are ready for it.  What we got is called a walker and the only difference I see besides the weight is that it doesn't have hand breaks.  It has a 300 pound capacity.  I do hope it will work for awhile for Pat but she is still going to request a written prescription from the doctor this morning for a Rollator in case this doesn't work.  I just checked with a drug store downtown, not a chain one, and they have some Rollator's in stock so we will have to check them out if what we now have doesn't fill the bill.  With all that rain up your way today it sounds like a good day to stay in the building and stay nice and dry.  Glad to see your manager is trying to be nicer.  Perhaps the management has told her that her job is on the line if she doesn't treat the residents better.

Jane, I hope you can get the insulation in before winter.  You will probably see a big different in both your heating and AC bills after that is done.  Pat has been trying to find a one pound bag of yellow corn meal to use for the breading on the tilapia but without success.  She sure doesn't need a three pound box or package.

JaneS

I've been doing some laundry and decided that most of it needs to be put away for winter.  That got me started and I've revamped one dresser and two closets.  I have two boxes ready for Goodwill and my bedroom is ORGANIZED.  Now I'm resting until the dryer hollers.

LARRY, too bad you aren't closer. I'd share my corn meal with Pat.  Like her, I have too much!

I think I'll break for lunch while I wait for the dryer.  My growler is on duty in my stomach so I better feed it before it gets out of hand.  I expect the doggies will be telling me it's time very soon.

The insulation guy hasn't called me back yet but it was late afternoon yesterday so I'm guessing he works and then makes calls later.

I hope everyfriend is enjoying the day.

well to answer you all. Plan on traveling in good weather and have a good friend
Bob that will keep a good eye on stock when we are gone. will give me something I enjoy when I am home to do. when the mule colts are trained and well broke to work and ride they will sell for $1,000 and up. I talked to a man while ago on the phone has a team of red well broke age 7 an 6 years for $2,500 for the team. that would be a good supplement to my income.

I just lost the message I had written.  I just don't know what I do when that happens.

So, I will just say "Hello" and not try to remember what I wrote.  It has been another busy day.  Had the OT and then was able to get my hair done in the afternoon.

I am sorry that I can't make any comments to some of your messages, but that will change later. Then I will be back to "writing a book" again.

June, Thanks for you nice comment.  I really am amazed at how well I feel.  I am so thankful for the energy that I have.  I actually feel like doing things.  Hadn't felt like that for a long time. I find that I have to really stop and rest every so often and put my legs up.  THe swelling has gone down a lot, but returns when I sit too long.

Wishing you all a very pleasant evening.

Once again I have proved remiss my promise to keep you all up to date in the goings on in my little world.  What the problem is is that these series of blackouts I've been have experiencing have  resulted in short term memory loss where, on occasion  I have no recollection of what I want to write. But other than that I'm fine and many things are coming back to be. So please bear with me.  I am also heartened to see the posts from Bubble MarsGal. PatH, Vanilla- Jackie and all those gone from my memory.  Let us keep these memeories alive

Shirley

Don, I was so happy to see your name pop up as I got in here tonight.... frustrating when memory fails and the harder we try to remember, the worse it seems. (((hugs))) to you and this problem, blame it on medication (certainly NOT MY MEMORY, huh?)

Lloyd, as you know I am a "born Missouri Mule".... so enjoy reading about your plan to raise them.  Here is a link to Leroy Van Dyke (was from Sedalia, graduated with my sister), the singer, but now raising mules in Missouri.  Very interesting that he is breeding Arabian mules, check it out, not far from where you live.  https://www.leroyvandyke.com/p/mules

Had news today that my oldest gr-son spent the night in ER out of state (work) & medicated up to fly home for surgery.... he has already had one Crohn's related surgery & this is the problem again.  Appreciate prayers for Joe, we know how much good prayers from this group do!  Thank you.

Down right nippy tonight with the door open.  I'm waiting for the washer to finish so I can put sheets from the RV in the dryer & just realized I have not heard it for a while.... phone calls about this emergency surgery..... hard to keep the mind on chores.  Sweet dreams & God Bless All..... Gloria

Good morning everyone, 68°, almost 20 degrees warmer than it was yesterday at this time and according to the weather channel it will go up to 72°. Rain again today. Sure glad the heat  is on to get the dampness out in here.

JANE  I always write on Notepad and at times I hit a key and every thing is gone so on EDIT I click on undo and what  I had typed is back.  Mostly I look at the keyboard when I type and every time I don't something happens. I am not a touch typist. I hope the insulation cost is one you can do. It does make a difference. I noticed how dark it was when I woke this morning and how early I turn my lights on now. That is the only thing I dislike about winter.

LARRY  I hope Jenny gets some nice weather while she is in Boston, seems so far it has been rain. Not nice for her and Bob. I am much happier with my rollator than with a walker. When I first got mine I seldom saw anyone with one but now even in this building there is more of them than walkers. Yes the witch is trying to be nicer but I still avoid her as much as I can. I do not want to even see her much less talk with her.

JANE  today I will have my CNA help me get out my winter clothes and put summer ones away.

AMY  wish there was a Dairy Queen around here. Have not seen one in years now.

LLOYD  hope you find what you are looking for. You are lucky to have such a good friend as Bob, then again you are a good friend willing to help all the time.

JOY  so happy for you that you are feeling much better. I wish I could say that. Then we know arthritis never gets better, only worse.

DON  always welcome your posts. You are in my prayers. Hope you have your music collections with you so you can enjoy them.

SHIRLEY  so sorry about your grandson. Of course I will add Joe in my prayers. Interesting about those mules. Of course I have never seen one, only pictures.

Have a great day.

Good morning everyone..

We had rain during the night and it could be a day of more rain. e are off to the city this morning, After hubby's appointment we will head on to Costco to do a bit of shopping then home.

Shirley, prayers for a speedy recovery for your gr-son.

Gloria, your weather sounds a lot like ours this morning. Hope it doesn't get too warm as we plan on taking the dogs with us.

I had better get a move on here...time flies and I only walk anymore.

Enjoy your day everyone

Joy, keep up the good work, day by day you will feel stronger.

Don, great to see you posting.I blame my memory loss on too much in there to remember and by the time I sort through it all.....I have forgotten what I was looking for. That is my story and I am sticking to it!!!

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I just realized that I never said good night.  I fell asleep on the sofa...those zzzs just crept out of that LLBean throw and grabbed onto me.  So when I woke up, I took the doggies out and headed to bed.  As I was setting the alarm, I realized it was only 10 oclock.  So I had an unexpected early one yesterday.

Neither one of the insulation guys called me back yesterday.  I'm worried about the local guy because he's known to be prompt and reliable.  He's also in his 70s and anything could happen.  The other guy just sounded nice and I expected him to do as he said he would.  He didn't!  Now what do I do?

I did make a connection to get my gutters cleaned out.  My son has a friend who is a whiz at odd jobs and a master at others and he's going to ask him to do my gutters.  I'm pretty sure he will because Donny has always liked me and I him.  We had a running gibe fest when the kids were in high school and we still do.  He's a pretty good kid/person!

DON, how nice to see you!  Keep coming back.  We don't care if you remember who we are or not.  I hope you're making a good place for yourself at your new residence.  It doesn't happen overnight but it does happen.

SHIRLEY, prayers on the way for JOE.  I have a grandniece who struggles with Crohn's so I (sort of) know what he's going through.  Loved the clip about the mules.  Now I understand why LLOYD wants to get them.

JOY,  good to see you posting.  We sure did miss you.  Every day when I see a post from you I say "Thank you".  You just can't imagine how worried I was.

Now, WHERE IS PHYLLIS!  DO WE HAVE TO CALL OUT THE MARINES?

GLORIA, thanks for the info on posting and not losing.  I don't know offhand what you mean but I'll check it out.  Making the change from summer to Fall/Winter wardrobes isn't easy.  But when I started the laundry, I realized that most of what I was putting in the washer would go into storage for next summer, I realized it was time.  And I'm so glad that job is done!

I probably won't be around much of the day.  I work 9-1 and then I  have a dr. appt at 3.  That's just about enough time to get home and tend to the doggies and wash my face and hands and get moving.  So I'll see you later...when I can!  Enjoy your day.  Make it what you wish!  Make it YOURS!

Added note:  AMY got in there while I was typing.  Does that mean I wrote too much?  AMY, I tell everyone that I need a "delete" button for my memory.  Why do I need to remember the address and phone number where I lived until I was 10.  And what's with remembering the name of my first grade teacher AND what she looked like?  I'd rather not forget Billy.  He was my first love in second grade!  I wouldn't delete HIM!

Hi Everyone.  It looks like it will be another hot day here in South Carolina.  At least we have a 50% opportunity for rain this afternoon.  Pat plans to attend her Gifts group this morning so I will take her and go on down to coffee with the guys.  Yesterday I found that our downtown drug store had medical equipment on display so we stopped there after Pat's doctor visit as the doctor told her she definitely needed the Rollator and gave her the prescription for it.  She found just what she wanted and I am going to be able to get it into the back seat by placing it on the seat rather than between the seats.  I don't know why I hadn't thought of that before.  I can slide it in and out and not have to lift very much.  So that is a problem solved.  We will be going to dinner at the Church this evening with Scott and then look forward to our weekly visit with him.

Jane, I know it is a good feeling to get something organized as you did yesterday. It can be amazing how quickly things revert back to be disorganized.  Scott checked at Kroger's for us for the yellow corn meal and the least they had was three pounds so we will keep looking.  She only wants it for the fish. Nice to know a good handy-man to handle those odd jobs like the gutters.  That is a problem we will never have here as we don't have any gutters nor do the other houses in our neighborhood.  It is possible that Phyllis still isn't able to get back home or that her home is damaged.  I don't remember whether she lives where the flooding could be a problem or not, but hopefully not.

Pat just let me know she isn't up to going to her gifts group so we will be staying home today until time for dinner at the Church.

Amy, I have had many Blizzards at Dairy Queen and I also like to bring one home and put in the freezer.  I have been signed up for the Dairy Queen offers since the new one opened near us several months ago.  I also find the small one the right size for me now but used to always get the medium.  My favorite is with the Heath Bar crumbled in it. You all are getting a lot of rain.  Hope you have a good shopping experience at Costco.

Lloyd, we never had either horses or mules on our farm as I grew up.  My sister and I would have loved to have a pony but my Dad wasn't interested in them. Glad you have a trusted friend who will care for your livestock and keep an eye on things while you travel.

Don, nice to see your posting and to see that you are fine.  Perhaps the short term memory losses will be come less frequent or go away before long.

Shirley, I expect most of us as we age have some difficulty remembering things at the instant we want them, such as peoples names.  I can usually eventually think of them and certainly recognize the faces when seeing them.  I find the same thing in working the crossword puzzles and when I don't know the answer just work on to other clues and then often when I come back to them the word needed pops into my mind.  Sorry to read that your grandson is having medical problems and hope the surgery helps the situation.

Gloria, that is a nice temperature you expect for today.  It is not getting light here in the mornings until around 7 am.  I don't like getting up and starting my day while it is still dark. Pat started using her Rollator as soon as we got home.  It has the 8" wheels and rolls very easily.  It has a wide seat that is comfortable.  She is looking forward to being able to get out and shop a little bit now as she will always have a place to sit down after being on her feet for a few minutes.  I was surprised when we got the Dairy Queen just a couple of miles from where we live here in North Augusta but the area where they built is growing quickly with new homes and is on an outer parcel with the big Walmart store.

Gloria, there are three ladies now that come to homemakers with rollators and one with a walker, that she puts a tray on. I think it sounds like time is catching up with our unite.

Amy you sure keep busy. My DIL just left to go back to Cape Cod  spent a day and a half with us and a day with her Mother in Freeport, of course the weather is bad rain wind.  She has and hour and 45 min. ride on the ferry crossing long island Sound to new London, Conn,

Just getting around to say "HEllo".  Been a busy morning waiting for the PT to arrive and then had some exercises to do with her.  Then, it was lunch time. Now I need to check out a couple of other places and then and put my feet up for a little while.  I want to go sit outside later as it is a beautiful "almost summer" day. Not going to be too many more like this.

Jane, you message brings tears to my eyes.  I can't tell you how much it means to ne to have you as a friend, along with all the others.  Wish you lived a little closer that we could meet up sometime.

DOn, nice to see you stopping by.  Just keep coming back when you are up to it.  I know you really must miss your "soul mate".  And, I am sure she misses you, also.

Gloria, thankfully, I don't have any problem with arthritis as of now.  I can honestly say, that I don't have any kind of pain at all.  I have a lot that has been going on in my back, but no pain with it.  Have some hardware and some places that the doctor keeps an eye on, but "Knock on Wood"  no pain involved. I know I am very fortunate.  ALmost everyone I know has some kind of back or leg pains.  I just have a difficult time walking, but not from any pain.  My one foot just doesn't want to go where I want it to go and I have to be very careful.

Luckily, the heart problem that showed up after I had the severe bladder infection seems not to be causing any problems.  My heart rate and oxygen levels and blood pressure  have remained stable now since I have been back home.  Still have to see the heart doctor in a couple weeks to hear what he has to say.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Gloria,I find using notepad the better way to go also, thanks for the tip to click "undo". I hope it works on the Imac. I had to go the long way around to get to Soda Shoppe today. I don't think I posted yesterday, so that may be the reason why. I have not been well the past few days, even canceled my appt. with the Dr. today. The girl offered to take me down in a wheel chair, but I refused. Felt if the Dr. wanted to see me badly enough she could take the elevator to my apt.

Amy, I love your " Time flies and I only walk anymore". Sure fits me  !!!

Joy, You are sounding great in your postings, and it makes me feel so happy for you.

This short time of sitting here has tired me out, so I will bid you all a very Good Night and a happy tomorrow. Hugs, Love and prayers. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

JaneS

I'm just stopping by to wish everyfriend a good night.  After my visit with the dr. today I came home with lots to think about and I didn't check back in.

JOY, I too wish we lived closer so we could meet face to face.  I'm working on that possibility.  Don't hold your breath but it might happen.

I'm off to Dreamland.  I have a busy day tomorrow ending with picking Kiran up after school and spending some quality time with her.  I wish you all pleasant dreams and a good day tomorrow.
