Good late morning at 10:47 from the Interior. This is the second day of gray skies and steady rain; hopefully, the next two weeks of expected return to sunny skies are warranted.

I've been busy with morning household chores and afternoon computer shuffling.

Another day with no Cooper but I got lots done.  It was mostly laundry.  I stripped beds, washed mattress pads, sheets and blankets and remade the beds when they a all came out of the wash.  Then I did a couple loads of clothes and everything is clean except the towels.  There weren't enough of them for a load so they can keep a couple of days.

I won't be going to church tomorrow but I plan to watch it from my church on face book.  Everyone is either away or under Drs orders to do nothing.  So my plans have to fit that.

I had a nice bowl of fresh picked black raspberries for my supper!  Ummmm, Ummmm goooood!

We had a lovely rain during the night so no watering the garden for me. :thumbup: A day of rest here ,nothing on the agenda other than sewing.

Jane, fresh picked berries with cream is the perfect dessert!

Patricia, are you getting any sunny days your way? Did you find your glasses ?

Rick, yesterday we didn't need the a/c now today is another matter. We didn't have the humidity either yesterday and a light breeze was blowing.

Good Morning AMY and anyone else who shows this morning!

We had a nice rain last night.  They were warning of severe thunderstorms but I didn't hear thunder close by.  It was off in the distance.  The rain soaked everything so I didn't have to drag out the hose.

Right now, it's 71 degrees here and only supposed to get to a high of 77 today.  They're still talking about a flood watch until around 8 this morning!  I'm not in a flood area or even close enough to see if there is flooding but Cathy and Philip can both see it!  It would have to be really bad to get to either of their houses but they CAN see it!

The only thing on my agenda today besides church is making something for dinner.  I haven't decided what just yet.  But I have a couple ideas!

SHIRLEY, I'm thinking of you, too.  I hope you're doing OK!

And for those of you who never show up any more, and those of you who show up sometimes...I still think of all of you as dear friends!

Well, -- we're having another day starting at 80°, though that is the predicted high for the day. Rain due around 11;00 which seems to be working it's way across Pennsylvania now. Local flood warnings so I'm guessing some fast, heavy thunder storms. But we do need the rain.
Hopefully I can keep some ambition so that later I can cook something decent. Right now it's boneless pork chops.

Good afternoon; a mostly sunny day today in the early eighties later this afternoon. It feels nice after two grey, dreary days of rain. The rain is expected to return on Wednesday; let's hope it changes its mind!

Amy, my glasses were never found. I'm hesitant to order a new pair until my rescheduled cataract surgery update on the 20th. Until then, I have a pair of old glasses from years ago.

Nothing going on here except for, as Callie says, domestic duties and some computer reshuffling.

The meets and greets have been quiet as well, so different from previous years; a lot of pesky ailments, doctor visits, and not much else going on in the group.

Good morning...

Another cool morning that is going to race its way up the thermometer!
Yesterday was fun, I did manage to get some sewing done and we had company to enjoy in the afternoon.
 
Today is making phone calls , chasing dust kangaroos and laundry.

Patrica, understand why you are waiting as you may not need a strong prescription for the glasses. Neighbour now just uses reading glasses and her glass before were very strong.

Rick ,how did your pork chops turn out?

Jane, I remember closing songs and holding hands with the young ones as we sang.

Has anyone heard from Lloyd?

Good Morning to AMY and RICK and anyone else who looks in later.

Cooper has arrived and he's had his breakfast.  Next he'll be telling me it's time for a walk.  At least we don't have to do that in the rain.  We had it all day yesterday and into the night.  I'm not sure when it stopped because it was still doing it when I went to bed!  But it had stopped and was beginning to dry off when I got up!

AMY, funny how the camp songs stick with us!

I have stuff sitting on the kitchen counter to make soup but I'm having second thoughts about that.  I have a lot of soup already made and canned.  Maybe I'll just use that up

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Some sad news: Thieves visited the house yesterday while I was at a bone density scan at the clinic. They made a mess in the bedrooms. I think we came back while they were still in - the door was blocked, so I call the police. They came fast with special armed force, hoping to catch them. 
It felt like in a film.
I am Ok, just a little chocked. My carer is in trauma.He did not sleep the whole night!

As usual they were delicious. I love pork. I simmer with celery soup for a while, then use the residual (from the cooking process) soup mix as a gravy. Last night I added something new (and so easy). After I put the chop on a plate and smothered it with the soup/gravy, I sprinkled some "French's, Crispy Fried Onions" over it. MMMmmmmm.

Last night we had a real rainstorm in the area. Jane probably had it earlier. Luckily for me the worse of it went just West of us. News report said the next County got 8" in places. Lots of flooding. We only flooded in the usual places.

Rick, that sounds really good!! I have also used mushroom soup as well  but must try your French's Onions next time.

Waiting on call back phone messages so will shhh take Jesse  and cut his nails. Something he is not fond of but needs to be done.

I knew about the mushroom soup but I never cared for mushrooms.  My guess is that this method was on a can of Campbell's Soup many years ago.

One done and I am fighting with Babe to get her nails done. I have given her 2 pills from the vet to relax her but so far they are not working. :(

Rick, then cream of celery or even cream of chicken would be the tasty way to go. :thumbup:

Jane, I did make soup, cream of broccoli with some vegetables throw in. Made a hearty soup for lunch!

Oh dear me, BUBBLE!  That sounds like a really scary time you've had!  I wonder how any of us would react to that happening?  I often wonder if that could happen where I live?  I certainly hope it never happens to anyone else.

Now I have to go take the Cooper-Snoop for a walk!  He's really bugging me!

Good morning..

I am here Jane.. although it wasn't  good night. The meds finally worked on Babe and I did get her nails done. She was so sedated/out of it that she slept on the dog bed in the livingroom, during the night I heard her and ended up taking her to bed where she still is. Not going to use that med again.

Today is Kyle getting his hair cut and working around home.

Bubble hope today is a better day for you and your caregiver.

Jane, she is slowly coming around, she is eating and drinking and has been outside. Still not herself but getting there.

Men were here to check out the garage door, sometimes it opens other times ..nope. Remember the van starting then nope....well here we go again. THe man checked it out and everything seems to be working but if it does it again he will install a new one.

We are having thunder,lightening and rain and they say hail will also drop.:( I hope no hail or the garden will be tore to shreds!

Well, AMY, it's just you and me today.  I hope SHIRLEY is OK and I wonder about PHYLLIS, Rick, LLOYD, PATRICIA, DENVER and anyone else that used to be regular in here. 

I'm off to the haystack and it's going to be a busy A.M. for me tomorrow.  COOPER will be arriving around 6:45 and he'll need his breakfast and a nice long walk.  Then I have to take a shower and get ready for a dr. appt. to be picked up around 9:30.  I have no idea how long it will take because it's a new dr. I probably won't show here until late morning.

AMY, I made a dinner in the crock pot and the only thing I can think of to call it is "That's It"!  I just used stuff I had on hand and as it went along I thought of something else to add.  I guess I could just call it "Stuff" and I'd be right!  But it sure as heck turned out good.  Maybe I should call it "GOOD STUFF"! 

I'm off!  Have a good night's sleep and a happy tomorrow!  God bless!

Thank you for kind words, it helped me get through the trauma of my privacy being invaded. Now I'm busy with all the paper work for the insurance. the think of and remember everything gives me a headache!

We are off to the city this morning,meeting up with Bri for lunch.Then high tail it home.

Good Morning, AMY and BUBBLE (so far today)!  Cooper has arrived and had his breakfast and a walk and took care of business!  I'm just about to take my shower and get dressed for my first checkup with my new Dr. 

AMY, have a safe trip and tell David I said "Hello" and give him a hug from me.  And tell him he's supposed to give YOU one for me!

If there's anyone around at all today, I'm home from my dr visit and I really Like my new dr!  I'd say she's probably half my age but she's not stuck at that age.  She asks questions and she listens to the answers.  Then she forms opinions and gives me a choice of what to do for whatever it is that might be causing a problem.  My blood pressure is in a good stage and she went over the chart for the blood work I had done the other day and I'm healthy!  Imagine that!  At this age, I'm healthy!

I hope Everyfriend is having a good day!  I sure am!  I'm going out to the kitchen and warn up some of the "Good Stuff" I made yesterday and have my lunch and read the paper!
