Good morning everyone.

Nice and cool here this morning and no humidity!!! I need to waltz with the vacuum and since I don't want the mop to be put out,so I will waltz with it too. Started on another quilt last night and want to work on that too today.

Joan ,thank you for breakfast.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Joan, Everyfriends, good Monday morning......

A new week for all, lets see what mischief we can get up to......

I already started mine.....I knew we had a Toby pet-grooming session booked for today, but somehow I misread our appointment time for 11.30, still in dressing gown and dish of fruit and porridge in hand, phone rang, pet groomer asking why we wasn't there.....this was at 9.45am, saying our app was for 9.30.....So a nice little timing mix up on my part after I sent R to go check the time I had written on my wall calendar, then sending my apologies down the phone.....Of course now she is fully booked up, not only the time slot after my proper today app, but taking a school holiday week off for next week, she had told me that when I made my app booking some weeks ago but....luck had it, groomer can fit us in next Thursday, after I had told her, Toby is not ready yet, he can go another week....

Good morning, Amy.  After you waltz with the vacuum and the mop, you're going to be tired and needing a nap.:) It's already hot here and very high humidity.

Good morning, Vanilla-Jackie.  Oops--missed the appointment for grooming.  Lucky that she can work you in next Thursday.

My housekeepers come this morning, so I have a bit of picking up to do.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's a glorious day today!  I slept well last night and I'm ready to meet whatever the day has to offer.

Of course, I've helped the day's offerings along.  I have a box of tomatoes to begin canning this morning.  I got them at the Farmers Market yesterday.  I got there a bit before closing and I got a good price on them...one more they didn't have to pack up and take home.  So that's my activity for the day.  One more ingredient for my veggie soup in October.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today!  And I hope all your dr. appts bring good news!

Gloria

Good morning everyone, just heard on the local news that today we will have a break, no storms and lower humidity but still hot. Storms will be back tomorrow.  After having no thunderstorms for 2 years we sure have got enough the last few days.

JOAN  I just delete those Microsoft emails. If everyone has been getting them I might believe them.

PATRICIA  I have not downloaded anything recently and just my regular toolbars. Thank you. Odd thing is the only plugin that works is the filters unlimited.

JANE  glad you had good news yesterday about what has been worrying you. I am happy for you.

GLORIA de  today is supposed to be less humid but still hot. Hope I can get out this morning to get some fresh air before it gets too hot.

HAL  we finally got rain here but with loud boomers and some lightening strikes. Have no idea how much rain we got but 3 days of some pretty hard rain at times. My windows right now are dirty. Will wash them when these storms are over. At least there is no flooding here.

JACKIE  do you think that could have been the space station going over high up with the morning sun catching that light?

JOAN  oh boy I get a lemon DD this morning. Just the thing to perk me up. Of course I will save a couple for the other Gloria. Chuckles-homeless with big tastes. We sure don't know what goes on in peoples minds. The Price of Freedom still comes with a price. Good quote. Thank you for all today's goodies.

AMY  like you I am enjoying this morning with the humidity gone for at least one day.

JANE  local tomatoes are just coming in. Being late at the Farmer's market worked to your advantage pricewise.

Good morning, Janie.  You got lucky at the Farmer's Market.  I am sure the veggie soup you make in October is delicious.

Gloria--Good morning.  It would be nice to have a cooler, less humid day, but that won't happen here until at least late October.  There's plenty of the lemon DDs so have all you desire.

Gloria....
....I did do a check on that, I looked up the space stations, but no, nothing was due over our home area at that time...Space stations were due several hours earlier or late evening....and they were going to be " dim..."
What I saw was a yard long orange-gold, very neat line, trailing gracefully through the clear sky...not even a cloud in sight..
Ha ha, where is my camera when I need it?

Hi everyone.  Another clear day with virtually no chance of rain. Only two things on my schedule for today.  The first is to attend my noon meeting and then at 4 pm Pat has another chiropractic appointment.  She can hardly move without severe pain and is having to use the walker to get around.

Yesterday we had a very nice surprise when the doorbell rang and it was our kind neighbor's across the street bringing us a small ham, some steamer vegetables that re fixed in the microwave and a pecan pie.  So the main structure of our evening meal is set.  I may fix a salad.  We have some mushrooms in the refrigerator that I need to get fixed for Pat.  She said they are easy to fix.

Joan, the cost of mailing is sometimes exceeding the cost of the item.  Pat spent another night in her chair in order to get some sleep.

June, good to see you were feeling better yesterday and hope today will be the same for you.  I started the Kuerig coffee make yesterday without a cup under the dispenser.  Fortunately, I reacted quickly enough that it hadn't started to dispense so had no mess to clean up.  Perhaps Mr. Coffee was getting too hot in the heat out there and just needed to cool down.

JaneS, so happy that you can shed some "happy tears" regarding your granddaughter.  I hope what the man told you will help set your mind at ease.  I learned many years ago to never give up on our loved ones, even during the darkest times. Where there is life there is always hope.  Nice to see you cheerful.  Sometimes all we can do is pray and love them and let them live their own lives.

Jackie, I think Pat does sleep well in her easy chair.  However, the pain when she moves or tries to get up appears to be the very sharp and causes her to cry out.  I am glad I am still around to help her.

deAngel, sure hope your medical appointment today is early this morning before the heat becomes too intense.

Gloria, nice to read you will get a break in your weather. I find a quick Google search on things like the Microsoft emails usually confirms my suspicions.  I read yesterday that Microsoft is shortening the 30 roll back to Windows 7 from Windows 10 from the previous 30 days.

JoanFL

Good morning, Larry.  I feel so bad that Pat is always in so much pain, unless she's in her chair.  I pray  the medical professionals can find some relief for her.  How nice of your neighbors to bring you such a lovely dinner.  The cost of mailing, in this case, didn't exceed the cost of the items.  It was a very expensive Kate Spade briefcase and contained her new iPad, some expensive jewelry and misc. items she used at Sonic's BOD meeting in Oklahoma.

Good Morning all, breathing seems to be a bit difficult this morning. My body wants to breathe through the mouth but that is a no-no. I will quit wondering about it and get on with life. I got back to my morning routine of prayers and exercises, after four days of neglect. Not an easy task, but essential.

So far everyone sounds pretty chipper, and that is an encouragement for sure.

I have no plans at all for today, one step at a time. I would like to get down for lunch, but we shall see what the body agrees with.

It is after 9 a.m. and bed is not made.....so off I go. Back later.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

June--Lately your breathing seems to be difficult.  Do you think having oxygen would help that?

Good morning everyone from the Interior and another partly cloudy day with no rain expected. Saturday was also cloudy, but the temperatures reached into the low eighties. I still have paperwork and a grocery trip to fit into today as well as other small errands.

Farrah has made a point of letting me know she wants my attention. She isn't shy about sitting next to me and reaching up to tap my leg or arm and speak to me. I only wish I understood her. It is not food or drink or playing or being picked up that she wants. I'm at a loss. I've even wondered if certain computer sounds bother her ears?

Jackie, I've thought about your sighting and wonder if it was a drone as they are becoming increasingly common. It could also have been a type of model airplane as some of them have become quite technical. There is also space debris and comets and that sort and perhaps with sunlight glinting off the object?

My small planter, balcony greenhouse fell over last evening without a seeming cause. My neighbor from below came up to see what had happened as she said there was a loud sound when it fell. We spent some time untangling the plants, shelves, and plastic and redistributing the dirt back among the plants; I will need to find a cabinet or shelves this month to bring them back inside and keep them away from Farrah.

JaneS

Angelface, maybe Farrah is simply saying "Thank you for loving me and for treating me kindly and for being the kind of person I can love back."

Bis,my Dr. seems to feel the shortness of breath is due to all the b.p. meds I need to take. I don't know, but lately I just feel all worn out and tired. I'm going down for lunch soon. Maybe that will help to just get my mind off myself for while.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

JeanneP

June. People say that their BP meds make them so tired for the first few hours after taking.  Have you tried taking them before you go to bed at night?  Is yours High or Low?  Did you tell him about your breathing.? See if giving you the right kind. Worry about your health is the number one thing of messing up BP.

Jane, I wish that were it. I can be typing along or working on an internet class or doing PSP, and I will feel a quick tap or two. I look down, and she sits looking back at me and then starts to say "ER -wah" or something similar. I get up, and she waits to see what direction I'm going. I wonder if she's bored?

June, I would check with your doctor about that. Sometimes we don't want to make a fuss or think it isn't a big deal when it could be a huge deal! I have low blood pressure, anemia, and other health issues and have felt faint and even passed out momentarily if I remain sitting or lying down for a long time. Don't forget to tell your doctor.

JaneS

I have 7 beautiful quarts of tomatoes sitting on my counter and one more (almost) quart in the freezer.  There is enough for the veggie soup with a couple left over to make tomato soup when I'm ready.

And I've had a short nap and I'm going to walk down to the corner to the mail box and see if the I won the PCH.  Oh right, they knock on the door.  Oh well, maybe I'll get something interesting.

June, I agree with the others...you need to let your dr. know what's happening.  Maybe the meds are too strong or there's something else you can take that won't react that way.

I hope Everyfriend is having a lovely day!

Mary Ann

Jackie, someone mentioned drone being what you saw.  One dark night, I saw a single red light going south in a straight line.  It was not flashing as a light on a plane would flash.  The light stopped for a few seconds then continued on its way, turned left, then turned north and after that I lost track of it.  I wondered if it was a drone but I am the only one who saw it so I really don't know.

I take a BP med, Toprol XL.  At first I took 1 1/2 pills (150 mg) because to take 200 mg would make me light headed.  Several years later, a doctor suggested I take two 100 mg pills but take one in the morning and one at night.  That has given me no problem.  I do not feel the BP med has made me extra tired.  I do get tired, but I think my age has something to do with it.

I'm drooling over your canned tomatoes, Jane.

Mary Ann

JoanFL

Angelface--Janie is probably right about what Farrah is saying.

June--I am no medical  professional and your doctor knows best.

JeanneP--I have to take my BP med both morning and night.

Janie--Must be a good feeling to see all those tomatoes canned.

Mary Ann--I, too, take Toprol.  Take it like you do.

Larry, you might ask your doctor about Pat using a Lidocaine patch on her body where she is having the pain.  The doctor prescribed them for my back and they work.  You can only wear them for 12 hours and then off for 12 hours. It is an anesthetic  https://www.drugs.com/cdi/lidocaine-patch.html  The druggist told me that the meds continues to work even though you remove it after 12 hours and in some cases even works better.....that's what he said.

I could be convinced it was just a passenger plane, a plane too small to even see, if someone can convince me that a passenger plane, even one that is very high up can move with an orange-gold trail instead of its usual grey-white trail moving along behind it....In the meantime I shall keep an open mind as to drone, seeings I have never seen a drone in action in the sky....Most plane vapour trails get longer before they fizzle out, this line kept to the same length as it moved along, all of its journey, and the Orange-gold trail did not evaporate....This object-plane moved smoothly and slowly along in a straight line...

Janie, in my youth I can remember the older folks taking a pint jar of canned tomatoes and opening them and eating them with just crackers.  Haven't seen anyone do it for ages.

Denver

A good Monday afternoon, to EVERYFRIEND.

Up and out the door early so we could get to Dave and Michele's to see the children off for school.  I am SO thankful and pleased to report that Michele's colonoscopy went very well and the surgeon was so happy with everything that she will not have to have another one for 2 years.  Normally after cancer they want a follow up yearly.  Her whole cancer issue started a year ago.....we are so thankful to our good Lo d that she is doing so well now.  Again, it is a good time to thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Speaking of answered prayers....JANE, I am sure happy that you got good news and you bet prayers are answered, and so I will continue to say them not only for your granddaughter but for you and the family as well.

JOAN, now all I want to know is, did,the briefcase arrive safely in Fairhope?  Thank you for our goodies today.

LARRY, how nice of your neighbor to bring over a nice home cooked meal for you nod Pat.  It is good that Pat can get relief from the pain by sleeping in her recliner.  Please give her my best.

JACKIE, Bob and I have talked about your streak in the sky and have pretty much said all the thing that have been mentioned so far.  Sadly, I doubt that you will ever find out for sure what it was.  We both thought the space station was the best possibility....but you say the timing was not good.  Who knows?

HAL, the best to your family with all the doctor appointments.  We talked to son Brian in Austin and he is getting a lot of rain.....when it rains there they always get at least a couple of inches or more...he lives on a hill, thank goodness, so flooding is never an issue.

I wish you all a good afternoon or evening.

If no one else reported seeing it, guess I am by myself... ;)... I doubt if I will ever see it again, so as they say...." ignorance is bliss.." ...But it did look good up in that sky all by itself....

Jenny.....
....a tough time last year for Michelle, so glad this is a year further down the line, and all her last year health problems are now left behind where they belong....in the past...

JeanneP. Thank for you concern my friend. My blood pressure runs very high so I take  three different meds for it, one of them twice a day, and it keep the pressure at a higher than normal rate, but better than badly high. Plus I take nitro twice a day, Plus some other pills for various illnesses.  I don't worry about my health..I put myself in
God's hands and go about my business as much as possible

Bis, all chest X-rays are fine, lungs seem to be clear, so it must be the meds..God is in charge, thankfully.

Patricia, I talk to my doctor very easily. She is a good and intelligent listener. I think we are bound to have various ills as we age.

Janie, thank you. I think I think too much, must keep telling myself to take life as it comes and be thankful.

Hal, my mom used to put bread cubes in her canned tomatoes , when she heated them for a meal. Plus a big hunk of butter, salt and pepper.

I had a good lunch downstairs, brought half of it home for supper. I pay for three meals a day, but one big lunchtime takes care of what I want to eat. I always bring home fresh fruit, bread, cereals, ice cream, mllk, so I make up for skipping the two meals.

Tomorrow I see my podiatrist at the ungodly hour of 8 a.m. I hope I remember to dress appropriately. I usually wander half asleep till about 9 a.m. even when i wake at 6 a.m. ho hum…………

Hal, I hope you got good news from your doctor today.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

JoanFL

halkel--I am glad to hear those patches work for you.

Vanilla-Jackie--It's a mystery.

Jenny--Nice you could see your grands off to their first day of school.  Finlay's first day was today, too.  The package is due to arrive tomorrow.  Praise God for Michelle's good report.

June--Your doctor knows best about your meds and health.  You'll have to set your alarm to be up, gilded and at your early appointment tomorrow.:)

I'm have to say this. Please forgive me!  It's been running through my mind ever since I read Jackie's account of her sighting.  You have to know that I'm kidding but I have to say it.  JACKIE, IT WAS A UFO!  ;) Wasn't there a comedian who used to say "The devil made me do it?"  Well, I thought this up all by myself!  Now, Everyone LAUGH!

June, my eye doctor appointment went okay, don't have to go back for six months.
My Primary Care doctor sent me an EMail today wanting me to repeat my blood test of last week.  One of the "ingredients" was abnormal.  So I will go back tomorrow morning and let them stick me again.

Jackie, I suspect what you saw was a jet at 40 thousand feet or so and the sun was shinning on the contrail.  Sun always highlights things at high altitude when i is rising or setting and it is still/getting dark here on the ground.  Check again some morning about same time in same direction.

Thank you everyone for rejoicing with me and for continuing your prayers.  We're not out of the woods by a long shot but we're on the way!

Jenny, hallelujah for Michelle!  What progress for only a year!  She will stay in my prayers, too!  Because He does care for us!

June, your attitude is what drives you!  All I can ask for myself is to share that attitude.  You know what you want your life to be and you keep your direction.  You are YOU!  I want to be ME!

I forgot who said it but my grandparents used to put chunks of bread and cheese in the canned tomatoes when they heated them.  I never liked them when I was little and I fished out as much bread and cheese and as few tomatoes as possible.  They let me get away with it because I didn't complain.

It's almost time to get back to the Olympics.  Enjoy your evening Everyfriend!

Bis, you are so correct..we have to listen to and trust our doctor, and I really like this lady

Janie, I remember it was a little colored comedian that would say, "the devil made me do it", I really like this fellow and he made me laugh heartily. I have forgotten his name. I have used his statement to excuse myself for some foolishness too. I'm laughing…….

Hal, congratulations on your eye tests, and  I hope your blood test proves the same. It was a blood test that put me in the hospital a few months back..low potassium and low sodium count. So they I.V.'d some back into my system.

Janie, I think there is a song by that title, "I want to be me"..I'll have to check it out.

I thing that is enough out of me for the day. I've had my supper, so I'll go do the teeth, wash the face and go to bed and read. Enjoy your evening dear hearts. I love you all. Rest in Peace while God watches over you. Hugs. June
