Jackie, thank you for the reminder about the lump.  When she checked it in her lab she said that they didn't see anything to worry about but she sent samples to a national lab and didn't truly commit until those results came back.  She called me herself to tell me that they didn't find anything to be worried about.  Every time she goes in for anything, they take another sample and test it.  I do truly trust my vet.  There is one closer to me but I've been going to this one for a lot of years and it's difficult to change.

The sun is shining here and the temp is51 heading for a high of 61.  These days are surely a GIFT and I'm enjoying them as such.

Made some more phone calls today and there is a young fellow coming over to assess some repairs that need doing and give me a cost estimate.  That's something I don't need!

I'm trying to ignore the doggies who are here asking for a snack because I want to feed them right before I go to work so they aren't hungry while I'm gone.  I don't know how long I can ignore their foot-shifting and their soft begging moans.  It's so hard not to laugh at them and if I do, I'm lost!  I can see them out of the corner of my eye just staring at me!

OK that's it, I laughed and I looked directly at them!

Janie--Hopefully the repair estimate you get will be reasonable.  I think you are having Indian Summer.  Those sweet doggies know hoe to get your attention.:)

JANE S....
...sorry I may have jumped the gun, didn't realise samples had been taken and been confirmed from the lab that all is good....I think you can now safely rest assured... :)

I can see the funny side too, those dogs are working together.... ;D

JaneS

Jackie, I really wasn't very clear the first time.  Thanks for understanding.  For Annie and for me, she is checked every time they see her.  I'd rather pay for a lab test than take a chance at missing a change.

I'm off to Wally World to meet and greet and serve my public.  Wish me smiles!

This is my second time in to read your messages, and to find I have not posted anything....I cannot wake up today ! My eyes opened for my first pill at six a.m. then again at 6: 30  for more pills. Did all the necessary stuff that morning calls for and waited for my Gary to arrive. He packed up the coffee pot, and said he would order a four cup for me. What a Blessing that boy is. He had a huge crowd at his Bible program today and was well appreciated. He is personality plus, but retains the essential humility. I would love him even if he didn't belong to me.

Now it is nearing my eating time at the small dining room, so I shall close this and be on my way, and then will come a nice long peaceful nap, then hopefully I will feel awake again. I love you all. :smitten:

I'm home and I'm tired!  The doggies met me at the door, ran outside and then right back in and into the kitchen to remind me they were hungry.

We had some repair people working on some of the registers tonight and I had to move because something on my assigned register wasn't working.  One of the supervisors remarked that "Nothing works around here any more."  I waved my hand in the air and said "I DO".  Even the customers laughed!

June Drabek

Janie, good reply to that supervisor!! I would love to have been one of your customers.

I had a nice lunch, I came home, I opened a book and I slept. Had a note in my mail box, saying a purchase from Amazon was waiting for me at the desk. So I treked on down to find that a miniature palm I had purchased had arrived . So....I replanted it in a large pot, which is now residing in my bathroom sink, slurping up an necessary water the mix needs. It is a lovely little plant and I am glad I gifted myself with it.

Denver

Good evening, EVERYFRIEND.

We made it home safe and sound late yesterday afternoon spending the night in Santa Fe, N.M.  We both just collapsed, we were so exhausted.  Seems one can hold up for just so long, then we are done.

Our oldest Son, Kurt was in town, so came by the house for breakfast this morning.  It was great to see him and we had a short but enjoyable visit.  He went out to get in the rental car to head to the airport, only to discover the keys were locked in the vehicle.  He was standing out side of it talking on his phone and heard it lock.... he and Bob tried all the old tricks to try to get in to it to no avail.  The locksmith arrived and was in the vehicle in 5 minutes. $270. Worth!  Can you believe it?  Wow!  Anyway, we were concerned about him getting the car turned in and getting to his flight, so we followed hi to the rental place then drove him to the airport.   He has a terrible head cold and I was worried about him flying, but he said it went well and his ears did not bother him too much.

We got home and pretty much did very little the rest of the day.  Just paperwork and the like.

Kurt called to let us know that he arrived safely and was able to pick up the rental van that he will be loading with some items that the movers could not take.  He and the two dogs will take off tomorrow and head for their new home in Boston.  Heidi and the boys will fly there on Friday.

My thanks to all of you and your very kind words about Dr. Dave's accomplishments.  Yes, indeed, I am very proud of him.  I especially loved your comments, JANIE. How sweet.

I must admit that it was really hard for me to leave my dad this time.....  each time I do, I always hope it will not be the last time I see him.  This time I REALLY felt that way.  Dad has really slowed down and is just not himself.  It sure is hard to be so far away from him.

JOAN, I hope Joe made it back and you two were able to enjoy a nice time together tonight.

I must head off to bed.  Pleasant dreams to all.

Waking up to Storm Doris this morning, well rather woke up to Toby's one bark to let us know he wants to go out to do toilet, R beat me to the kitchen door, but as he has gone back to bed, I am up as usual, this is my normal time anyway...
I certainly could hear the strong winds through the night, and I can certainly hear them now, dont yet know what if any damage it has done, is doing but winds could well get up to 80 miles per hour in some regions, maybe 60 in ours, so the forecasters say...Link...

Good Thursday morning, Everyfriend.  There's DDs to accompany your coffee or tea. I wish everyone a good day!!

CHUCKLES

Healthful Place

Mr. Peterson, a tourist from Toronto, arrived in Barbados. In an airport taxi cab, Peterson asked the driver, "Say, is this really a healthful place?"

"It sure is," the cabby replied. "When I arrived here I couldn't say one word. I had hardly any hair on my head. I didn't have the strength to walk across a room, and I had to be lifted out of bed."

"That's wonderful!" said the tourist, "How long have you been here?"

"I was born here."

This Is What I've Been Looking For
(By Chris Long)

This is what I've been looking for,
This is what I have sought,
to know deep down and really grasp,
that I am loved by God;

By my Creator that made me,
And cherishes who He made.
Oh my heart, rejoice in love,
no longer be afraid.

I am a child of God;
I'm an heir with Jesus Christ.
I receive my inheritance purchased for me
by my Savior's sacrifice.

I have been set free;
I am no longer bound.
All blessings are mine in Christ,
I receive my royal crown.

For I am royalty by my new birth,
born into a royal family.
I receive all the promises that are mine,
By the position bestowed to me.

And I know all things are possible,
Yes I can do anything.
There are no limitations,
for children of the King.

And I rejoice and lift my hands,
and I bow in humility,
with gratefulness to this One
who has so loved me.

This is what I've been looking for,
Yes this is what I have sought,
to know deep down and really grasp,
Oh I am loved by God.

Amy

Good morning everyone..

Raining here and very foggy too. We are off to the city for chemo, today marks the half way point!!

Our trip to the vet was not a happy one...our Golden Girl has a rare form of cancer, good part is we caught it early and next Tue she will have her lumps removed. This will give her 3 more years which at 12yrs now is good..

Joan, thank you for breakfast.

I had better get a move on as we will be leaving soon, hope I don't have to take a knife with me to cut through the fog.

Enjoy your day everyone.

JaneS

Oh, Amy, I'm so sorry that your doggie's lumps were not benign!  I was so hoping they would be.  We seem to suffer so when our doggies suffer!  You can take comfort in the fact that it was discovered early and that he/she has led a loved and cherished life and will continue to do so.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's rainy and foggy here, too.  But I don't have to go anywhere until it's time to pick up Kiran at the bus.  Maybe it will burn off before that.

Jenny, your son certainly had a difficult time with the car.  I hope the rest of their move goes smoothly.

I'm not sure what I'll get into today but tonight, my neighbor friend and I are going to the movies.  My grandson gave me two movie tickets for Christmas and he included 2 popcorn tickets and two drink tickets.  So we're going to use them tonight to see a movie called LION.  I looked it up and it looks good.

I hope you all have a great day today filled with whatever strikes your fancy.

Hi everyone on a bright and sunny morning.  I have a busy morning planned with my usual coffee with friends and then the Wisdom Group.  After that I will stop at Walmart to pick up an online grocery order and then a stop at Aldi's for some items.  That will be plenty for today.  Jennifer did join me for dinner at the church last evening and then came out to the house for awhile.  We had a nice visit.  Scott had gone to work to repay the lady who had worked for him on Monday night.

Hal, great to see that your back is so much better.

Joan, I thought we were going to get rain yesterday but it never developed after the early morning showers.

I decided to give you all a break and forego my usual comments as don't have much time.  I have to reboot my gateway as Pat can't get her new printer back online.

Lloyd Hammond

good Morning everyone!
well I am up and ready to face the day. still woke up with a dull headache.
hope you all have a great day just as you like it.

Good morning everyone, still snowing here in a still warm Interior and Farrah is enjoying her breakfast and a morning treat!

I hope Jackie soon turns up to let us know she is okay and that Doris didn't live up to her forecast!

ANGELFACE...
...all is good here, well its dry and the sun is out but still very windy...I of course haven't ventured out, but our Toby got taken out for his morning walk, and guess what? he never got blown back home again, like I thought he would have......

JoanFL

Joe just left to go home.  I sure enjoyed having him here.  Now I'll try to get back into a routine.

Good Afternoon, Everyone from the sunny and cool but lovely,  rocky coast of Maine.

Hi Joan.    I hope that you enjoyed your visit with your Son before he had to start that long trek back to Alabama...

I have been out for a walk down town and a stop at the
Thrift store down stairs.      It is going to be a nice day
with temps up into the 50's .....    Yeah!

Hi angelface.

Sandy--You're having nice weather for a walk.  Joe had a 10 hour drive ahead of him.

Click for Melbourne, Florida Forecast

Mary Ann

Joan, Joe's 10-hour drive is the bad part of his visit.  I would never have been able to do that alone.  It took me 5 1/2  hours to drive to Indianapolis (260 miles) and that was as much as I could do.  I don't envy Joe with that drive.  But I know it was nice for you to be able to see him.

Mary Ann

JoanFL

Mary Ann--I have NEVER driven that far alone.  My MODO is if it more than a 3 hour drive--fly.

Jenny dear, your emotional area must be on over-load at this time. Leaving your
Dad, home to more frustrations, and sons visit, which I know is always a treat, but still some tiring, testing moments. I hope you and Bob can have next week free, just for the two of you.

Jackie, sounds like the winds we had last week moved over to your area.Ours were forecast at 60 also, and rain came at the same time, so it was an exciting storm.

Bis, I really laughed at today's Chuckles..sounds like all of us at one time. Probably a jolt to the Canadian. And a wise quote from one of my favorite authors..C.S.Lewis.

Amy, I am sorry about your Golden girls' diagnosis. I just pray you can have her for a few more years, and that she suffers no pain.  We suffer with them, I know.

Larry, you have a busy morning planned for your self. Enjoy!

Lloyd, can't you take a  pain killer for those head aches, or are they the results of your last injuries. I pray the Good Lord keeps you from any more disasters to your poor head.

Gloria, I hate it when I lose a post by some action I took. And trying to go back and repeat ot all is nearly impossible….and boring for me. I sound so dull the second time around.

Bis, it always takes me time to settle back after one or more of my beloved kids has been here. I want to review and hold close our discussions. I hope you had a precious visit…they seem to come so seldom, even though mine live nearby, they are busy with their own lives, and that is as it should be. We have been there and done that.

Sandy, oh, that Grandbaby is such a doll. I would love to give her a gentle hug. and perhaps play "patty-cake".

My morning has been very restful…checked some things that I'm expecting from Amazom, and ordered a couple more things I really need and have been neglecting the choosing necessary. So much checking out before making a decision. I get a severe pain on the ball of my foot…the metatarsal bone, so finally bought what I know will help.

My doctor wants me to buy some knee socks to give my bony legs some padding against any more bangs, cuts and bruising. What I have seen so far I don't like, so I will keep looking. She is looking into a different solution medically to help my body retain salt. My kidneys are disposing of it before I get the benefits needed. I was happy to see I had gained a pound. Up to 111 now.

A busy afternoon coming up, I hope I don't fall asleep before getting down stairs to enjoy the offerings.  :sleepy:
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Joan, I made one stop about half way from Grand Rapids to Indy - at a Mc Donald's where I bought a hamburger and shake and made a pit stop.  I took the food to my car and ate it on the way south.  I stopped at the same place coming north.  I wasn't exhausted by the trip, but I did not want to do much the evening I got there.  I'd start about 10 am and get to Jim's about 3 to 3:30 pm.  In 2008 I scared Jim when I told him I wasn't going to drive down any more.  He was afraid I wasn't going to go down at all.  I told him I would fly down, which I did until he died.  I drove on State roads and they were a much easier drive than Interstates.
