My "Nest" is all shiny clean and smells so fresh. My dear girl is not a skimmer...she does what she calls "deep" cleaning. There is only one area in which we differ. She makes the bed with Hospital corners on the top sheet. I pull them out to lay loose over the edge of the bed, and also adjust so there is more turnover at the top of my comforter, but I do not intend to tell her how to do her work. I can make adjustments easily enough.

Next on the "menu" is lunch downstairs, then home to catch up on the sleep I missed in the early hours this morning. My eyes keep wanting to close.

So, I will hie myself down to the dining room.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

June--How pleasant it is to hear about a housekeeper that does a good job.   I guess we all like our beds made a little different--I like hospital corners.  That's another "whatever floats your boat".

Good morning from the Interior. Yesterday they warned of forty and even fifty below by today. That past week had been running between minus 6 to minus 14, so we were rather expecting colder weather. After all, January and February are usually our coldest months of the winter.

We ended up with zero at nine PM and never did have the cold expected. Now we are having, even more, snow, between four to seven inches, with a half mile visibility, making this one of the snowiest since the mid-eighties and probably the end of our drought. The expectation of cold weather has now been pushed back to Sunday. Such exciting lives we lead.  ::)

Farrah has been sleeping through her days and up at night. Last night she was so convincing with her dashes hither and yon while making deep throated growls that I actually wondered if she had become delirious? Her imagination seems to be quite good or else we have ghosts.  :-\

I am still involved in cleaning, discarding, and arranging items in new ways. I did manage to find homes for some cute high heels and heeled wedges that I know no one here would or could wear. Now what to do with my five backpacks, three camera bags, and thirteen umbrellas all either red or black?

The good news is that I'm finally on the downside of what was started in December 2013. My story is that I'm not slow or lazy, I'm just meticulous. And I'm sticking to it!

JoanFL

Angelface--Perhaps Farrah is just trying to get your attention.  The weather reporters there are about as fickle as they are here.:)  Your sure are doing a thorough job of cleaning and purging.

Patricia, I wonder if Farrah is on duty late at night, so must sleep in the day time. By "duty", I mean perhaps she hears something that the human ear is missing. It made me recall to one home we had....I woke in the mid hours of the night to use the bathroom, and it so quiet at that time, I heard a tiny, tiny scratching sound coming from one wall. I told my husband about it, and in crawling under the house, he found a pile of termite droppings where the bathroom was located. Maybe Farrah hears a mouse somewhere in the building, or some tenant making a sound that only a cat would hear. It sure makes me curious.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Vets will tell you that cats have a high prey instinct and indoor only cats can have a build up that they release by these mad dashes about in play or nocturnal dashes. This is what Farrah is doing as she is a predatory animal. I just find it funny in how she goes about it.

Dogs, while not as predatory, tend to react in chewing or sometimes other destructive behavior without an acceptable outlet.

P.S. Luckily, Alaska has no termites!

JaneS

I JUST NOTICED THAT I FORGOT TO POST THIS!

I'm home from work and feeling a bit wiped out today.  Please don't tell my daughter or she'll be over here trying to mollycoddle me and I don't need that.  I'm just going to take the rest of the day off...maybe tomorrow, too.  Enjoy your day!

Patricia, thank you for that insight into Farrahs behavior. I had no idea they had the need to work off their natural instincts. Cats are so mysterious in some ways, and so wise in other ways. We had dogs all the time but also two cats during my married life. Moi was a Siamese, and gave the impression he should be addressed "SIR". Felicia was a lovely and loving lady. she birthed three kittens in her box on the washing machine, and I didn't even know she was pregnant. A perfect little mother. She lived with us for over twelve years and was so ill, we had to put her down. She liked to reside on top of the washer where she was free from our overly friendly dog.

Janie, you have certainly earned some time out. The schedule you keep...I feel you are pushing a bit too hard most of the time. When I first knew you, those zzzz's never called you. Do have a completely restful day tomorrow, please ????

June, yes I had a great Christmas, early Mass, delivered meals to the shut in's and those alone, in the afternoon spent a fun quiet afternoon with friends.
And oh yes we have snow , rain, wind, ice, the whole shebang but I am used to it living a lifetime here :) Love the four seasons.

So My Best to you and Everyfriend, mycheal

Shirley

Mycheal, I agree with you about the 4 seasons, my least favorite is summer but the good side to that is I can run to CO & hide out in the mountains.  I tell my kids "like what you have or do something about it..."  My roots are here but I do love to roam.

Today has been a real Friday the 13th.  Started with gr-daughter calling to see if I had time for her to come & work on her painting.  No question, we could fit it in.  Half an hour later she called all upset about "have to cancel".  So I asked why (she wanted me to  ;) )... seems she went down to get meat out of the freezer and it had all thawed out, freezer not running!  She hadn't called her dad yet (he's the one that can fix anything), so I told her to call him & see if she needs to get a new freezer or what... asked if she needed coolers & ice ... so little while later he called back & said she needed more big skillets to cook the thawed hamburger (she just filled her freezer with home grown beef not raised with hormones, etc).

Her father thought because the freezer is located in same room as furnace & furnace running full blast with these cold temps, it just over heated & he would put a fan on it & see.  The steaks & roasts were still frozen but hamburger still cold enough to not be bad, so cooked & then could re-freeze.  Her biggest problem was she had been saving & freezing breast milk for when she goes back to next week.  It was just the last straw, but we kept telling her to look at the bright side, she had meat cooked for a month & wouldn't have to rush home to cook to fix spaghetti, chili, tacos, etc....

My concern was that as I went to back out of the garage my little Encore popped up a warning that my rear tire was low.... not too low to drive so figured I'd run on over to Sam's Club after helping Sarah.  I just thought it was a slow leak & changing weather.  Son had a look in the driveway as I back out & saw a nail.   :tickedoff:  Got to Sam's & like I feared, too long of a wait so opted to go back later, have an air compressor & would air it up, feed cats & go back.  I did, same wait but was surprised when they came to get me & found a nail sticking out of the other rear tire as well.  One was mashed in but no clue how the other had the sharp end of a nail sticking about an inch out the side wall, right at the tread but not repairable.  So a slow leaker goes back to the dealer next week after ice & snow is gone.  They warned me not to cut the part off sticking out as might void the warranty (if it is covered)....  May be buying a new tire.  I have about 14,000 miles on the car & tires so will be up to the dealer.  Have no clue where the nails came from, not a convenient time.

Patricia, my cats had been running all night (outside) and sleeping on my bed all day.... until we started camping & they stayed awake so much when I was driving.  They would go from window to window at night the first few trips & after that decided they like to sleep at least half of the night with me.  When it turned cold I started letting them stay in the far end of the house (instead of in & out of my bedroom all night) they had food & water upstairs & litter box in the basement, plenty places for them to pick their spot to sleep.  I don't hear them at all during the night so have been getting a lot more sleep.  When they stay out all night they show up on my bedroom door step & reach up to try to open the door but I pretend I don't see or hear them.  I don't leave them out all night if it's too cold, but they are sure happy to come in when I get up!  They do have a good life with the river bank to play ... they are happy and free.  If they weren't feral they wouldn't be nearly as much trouble.

Must get some sleep, haven't gotten a nap in all week but did get laundry done & all things charged "in case" the power goes out.  My stove is gas so only difference is I have to use matches & can't use the oven... but I can always go out in the RV & run the generator & use propane cook top & oven & furnace & frig....  Bring it on, I'm ready!

Hey, Callie, thanks for the moisture, already had one band come through & guess the next will be ice..
   :snowball:

June Drabek

Mycheal, you had a very nice Christmas indeed. I am happy for you, and the delivery of meals to the needy was a special Blessing..for them and for you. God must have been smiling.

Tisie, Whew.....I am all worn out just reading about your Friday the 13th. I hope the rest of the meat stays properly frozen.

Friday the 13th. stands out in my memory as my "lucky" day. Coming home from school I was running across the main highway that led to Minneapolis, when a car carrying hunters home from their so-journ hit me and knocked me up in the air. Which I didn't know of course but some others saw it happen. I was not broken, just bruised and sprained and unconscious. But I lived. So I consider Friday the 13th. a very Blessed day for me.

As long as we are here, let's dance.

Time to say Good night and God Bless you all and keep you in safety and health. Love, Prayers and Hugs. June

Food For Thought

Joy
(by John Coody)

"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit." (Psalms 51:12, NKJV)

Joy, a word derived from the Greek word gethein, meaning to rejoice with total bliss. Isaiah 12:3 says "therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." So many times, even those of us who are saved, get wrapped up in situations and circumstances. We fall and try on our own to get out of sin's grip. We forget that the Christian life is not supposed to be burdensome. Jesus knew that we would have troubles. This is why He told us in Matthew 11:28-30 to come to Him when we are hurting and burdened and He will give us rest. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to leave our worries with Him because He cares for us.

The past couple of weeks, an amazing transformation has been happening in my life. I have been rediscovering the pleasure of knowing what it means to be loved by our Creator. Too often, we miss out on blessings because we give up on God's plan just before it is revealed to us, and seek our own way. I was ready to quit my job. Last week, I received a promotion. I've seen how so many times, I've been willing to give up, when God was in the middle of doing something great. Isn't that the way we all are sometimes?

Christianity is not supposed to be a rigorous and stressful religion where we follow a bunch of do's and dont's. It is a personal relationship with a loving God who wants to give us direction in life for our benefit. By living in obedience to Christ, we find joy that is beyond any happiness we could ever experience. I pray that all of you will experience this joy and the peace of Jesus in your lives this week.

Thought of the Day

Good morning JOAN and EVERYFRIENDS...
....a dry, grey, cold morning.....we are waiting on the arrival of Harry, told he will bring him as he goes out to do his shopping between 9 and 10.am, 35 mins to go...I have gotten the place fresh and tidy, this might turn out to be a fun sort of day...Ahh they have just turned up....

Radioman34

I am safely ensconced in Israel in Bubble's loving company, although she is unwell at the moment.   More news to follow as her health improves.

Amy

Good morning everyone.
Good news is the temp has risen and it is now -16 from -16 at 5 this morning.

Yesterday went well although it was a long day. The new Dr was ok but we really like our own.She will be back for the next session of chemo.

Laundry day today ,not going to hang it out either. Just chase dust bunnies too today.

Hope Bubble feels better soon Radioman...good job you are there to take care of her.

Jackie, sounds like a fun day ahead for all of you!

Gloria is sure going to enjoy the DD's today!

Jane, hope your feeling better, well rested and taking today a tad easier.

Mycheal, I too love all four seasons. Some a bit more than others but all in all we are blessed with beautiful seasons.

Shirley, that is no fun having to cook all that meat but at least it could be saved and not thrown out.

Joan thank you for breakfast, will enjoy this raspberry DD.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning Vanilla-Jackie.  I will be anxious to hear how things worked out with Harry.

Radioman--Good morning.  Glad to read you arrived safely but sorry Bubble is not feeling well.

Good morning, Amy.  Great that things went well with your husband's chemo yesterday.  I'd say -16° is mighty cold.  I think you decided wisely about hanging your laundry out.  I sure hope Gloria can get here to have some DDs.

Good morning!  Cloudy today and much cooler than yesterday when the temp. was in the 70's!  I got out and did some cleanup on the front and side porches and the deck.  Took my time doing it because it was so nice.  No ice storm in store for us, thank goodness, but am concerned about those of you who are in the way of this big one in the central part of the country.  Stay SAFE and stay warm.

Joy, I was interested in what you had to say about Wegman's Grocery Store because they will be building one of the first Wegman's in NC very near to where I live.  Supposedly they will start building it some time this year.  I've heard only good things about it and am looking forward to it very much and the fact that it is close to me makes it even better.  We have two Publix stores (and a third one planned for the west side of town) built in our town within the last couple of years and while it is a nice store, it is not convenient to my home.  A headline in the Raleigh news paper calls Cary the grocery store capitol of NC.  There is no shortage of choice for shopping around here and where I go is only governed by how far I want to drive on any given shopping day.

So glad that you are safely in Israel, Don, and apparently tolerated the long trip well.  I am sorry that Bubble isn't feeling well and hope that she improves very soon so you and she can enjoy your time together.

I must toddle off and get some breakfast but will probably check in here again later.  I always like to keep up with what is happening to you all even though I don't always post something.

Good Morning Everyone!

Don, happy to see you arrived safely, now if you will get your lady well and minus the red nose (her words not mine) then things can get back to normal.

Jackie, let us know how the visit went with your new friend.  And a picture if you take one.

Saturday and I have to go pickup our cleaning lady shortly,
Hope everyone has a great day.  I know Callie and Tissie are not enjoying their day with all the ice.  Hope it skipped Lloyd.

Gloria

Good morning everyone, I am finally back “home” again. Been a terrible week with no computer. I got tired of waiting for HP to send the flash drive to start this lemon up again. Called my grandson and was lucky to catch him. He came over and did this and that and whatever and got this machine running. That was last night when he got it on. I did not have to reinstall every thing either. With what HP would have had me do would have brought it back to factory settings and I reinstalled everything in this lemon enough times already. So much for their “techs?” and their knowing what to do. I will go back and read what I missed after I read this morning's news.

JOAN  now this is a wonderful way to get back, my favorite lemon DD and boy to me that is comfort food.Chuckles-this past week I would have been happy to have even a slow connecting back again, better than none. I can get back on Skype later, Happy days again. JOY is so true. I have finally found a doctor that is helping me after years of 2 that just brushed off my complaints of my back. My prayers have been heard and something is now going much better. A few more tests coming up and I know I will get better results than I had before. Thank you for all today's goodies, they sure hit home for me.

DON  I have been thinking you must be at Bubble's by now. Glad you arrived safely but sad to read she is not well right now. I wish her a fast recovery.

JACKIE  will have to read back to find out who Harry is.

AMY  I would not hang clothes out in that temperature either. We hit 60° a couple of days ago. Not normal at this time of year. You are right, I am enjoying a lemon DD this morning. Great welcome back, right?

PHYLLIS  just heard on the news about the ice storm in Kansas, hope Shirley is staying in. I sure missed being here every day.

HAL  who is going to win that game tonight? Go Patriots.

Now will post this and start reading back.

Good morning, Phyllis.  Lucky you.  I am so jealous.  Believe what Joy said.  Wegman's is an absolutely amazing grocery store.

halkel--Good morning.  Guess you have to make yourself scarce while the cleaning lady is there.

Good morning, Gloria and HURRAH!!!  We sure missed you.  Thank heaven for your grandson.  HP doesn't know their head from their tail.  Enjoy a few of those lemon DDs to celebrate the revival of your computer.:)

Good morning, Joan and all the Saturday morning friends.

Joan, the donuts are a welcomed treat this morning.  I would like one of the chocolate ones.  LOL

Gloria, so happy to see you back with us.  You are always missed.  Glad that your grandson was able to get your computer back working.  I know when my son comes to do something for me, he clicks on this and that, and all of a sudden everything is back in order.

Don, so glad you arrived safely and sure hope Bubble will be feeling lots better soon.  I am sure she has lots of things planned for your visit.

Phyllis, well, it looks like Wegman's is  slowly making it's way further south now.  As Joan said,  it is an amazing store.  Almost like a department store with so many different things they sell.  They have a flower shop,  a gift shop,  and the restaurant is one of the big drawing cards.  I know you will love going there.  Hopefully, it won't take too long for it to be built.  The new one they just built not too far from me didn't really take that long.  They had to tear down a big industrial building before they could start, and that look a little more time.  Doesn't take them long, tho, once they first get started.

When we used to go to FLorida for the winter,  I always looked forward to shopping at Publix.  They were so much nicer than the grocery stores in our area.  Well, believe me,  Wegman's even tops Publix.

They are calling for messy weather for my area today.  I don't have to go anywhere, so I will be nice and warm inside.  Right now, I have to go and get some coffee to go along with my DD.

Have a good day and stay warm and dry if your area is in for the messy weather.

Joy

BIG BOX

larryhanna

Hi everyone on our third in a row beautiful days to be in the mid-70's.  I have been very busy since I got up this morning.  I bought Pat a little printer to be at her easy chair to work with her laptop as we kept having trouble with the wireless printers.  I spent and hour trying to get it installed this morning only to find it doesn't work with the wireless version we have on the Gateway.  So back in the box it went and I will have to return it later today.  I have things ready for Pat's breakfast except to grate up a couple of types of cheese but I have the cheese cut into strips so that will be an easy job with the electric grater I got several months ago.  It makes fast work of grating.  I have also cut up a package of green onions into small pieces and the same with a red pepper.  Needless to say I am ready to sit down and rest.  I had a very tired day yesterday.  I did deliver the meals to the Project Warm workers and will do so again today.  The house was very easy to find and right on the road back to our house.  Someone put the box of meals in my truck at the church and also a case or 32 bottles of water.  When I got to the house I carried up the box of lunches and a bag of cold water but asked one of the workmen to get the case of water out of the truck as knew it was too heavy for me.  Just carrying the box of lunches brought on some chest discomfort that contributed to the tiredness yesterday.  Other than deliver lunches today I plan on a fairly quiet day and late the afternoon and evening will watch the pro-football playoff games.  Later this afternoon I will put together a salad to go with the salmon we plan on having for dinner tonight.

June, wise decision on your medicines as others have said.  You will have more time to do the things you enjoy, perhaps read a few more pages, and not have to worry about medications.  I would be 100% shocked if Gary is anything but delighted of your decision and I bet he is glad you made it rather than him having to do so later.

Joy, like you we try not to bother our son and are thankful he has chosen to come out to the house each Wednesday evening.  I know he would help us if needed or our granddaughter would be able to help with certain things.  Your son would have a stressful job as the service foreman.  Does he have to deal much with the customers?  We don't have Wegman's down here. I sure didn't know there were that many kinds of cheese although we once lived next door to a couple who had opened a cheese shop in a nearby mall.

mycheal, my sister and family live in Estherville, Iowa and they are enjoying the same type of weather as you have.  I keep an eye on the temperature up their and it is cold.

Shirley, want a terrible thing to have a freezer fail.  Glad the meat had not spoiled and losing home grown beef would be quite a loss. Sorry about your tire problems.  I was fortunate when I got the low tire pressure warning it was just due to the change in weather and not a nail.  Your RV gives you a nice backup in bad weather.

Jackie, hope you have a great day with Harry and get a lot of joy from him.

Phyllis, perhaps after Wegman's expands into NC they will decide to come on into our State or perhaps Augusta.  However, I would certainly have to ride a cart to get around such a big store.

Gloria, welcome back as you have been missed.  I likely will never buy another HP computer or printer (certainly not a printer).  Glad you didn't have to reinstall everything.

Joan, when I got to the church yesterday at the time I was told to report the lunches were all packed and folks were carrying them to their cars.  So I had an easy job.

Callie, you can relax now that Miss Emily is safely home.  She sounds like a wise young lady to avoid the possibility of ice.

halkel

Gloria, II really have no idea on tonights game.  Houston can be so unpredictable.  If they are up they will win, if not, well NE will walk on them like a rug.  But you know who I will be rooting for.

I see no Lloyd or Callie or Tissie this morning.   Iced in?  The paper this morning said we have possible stormy weather this weekend.......we shall see.

JoanFL

Good morning, Janie.  I hope you are able to relax and sort out the things that are on your mind.

Joy--Good morning.  We have several different grocery stores around, but I always shop at Publix.  I sure wish we had Wegman's.

Good morning, Larry.  You sure were busy yesterday.  Too bad the printer you bought Pat doesn't work with her equipment.  You sure are becoming quite a cook!!  It sure is nice of you to deliver the meals to those who need them.

halkel--I hope Lloyd, Callie and Shirley are not iced in.

CallieOK

Good Morning,

All well at my house - just having a "leisurely" morning.

The south-facing driveway was just damp and the cover on the paper was wet but not icy.  There are a few tiny little icicles hanging from my bird feeder on the north side of the house.

According to the weather guru, the most ice was from the OK/TX panhandle (Amarillo) state line to the west edge of the OKC metro area and wasn't as heavy as had been expected.  There could still be that invisible "black ice" so footing is iffy -but at 9:00 a.m., there were no power outages.
However, the way the system is moving,  Shirley may get more than I did.

In anticipation of the possible Ice Storm Of The Century,  Carson went back to college yesterday.  Emily has a very light class schedule for the last semester of her Senior year and doesn't have to go until Monday.

Welcome back, Gloria.  Hope your computer problems are permanently fixed.  So happy your back feels better.

Don,  glad you have safely arrived in Israel.  I'm sure Bubble feels better just to have you there.

Larry,  you are a very special type of husband   I have known a few husbands here whose situations were more challenging than yours and have always been impressed at how they quietly stepped in to do what was necessary while helping their wives do as much as they were able.

Jackie,  Good Luck with your "get acquainted day" for the possible new doggie.  Hope you'll soon have a new resident in your home.

The hamburger/veggie soup I made in the crock pot yesterday turned out very well.  Today, I might make some cornbread muffins to go with it.  That should keep me from cutting a piece bigger than I ought to....assuming I can stop myself at one muffin.
There's soup in the hidey-hole.  If and when I get the muffins made, there'll be some of those, too.

:hugs:  to each friend I didn't mention.   Wishing you and Everyfriend an enjoyable day.

Joy

Larry,  I always look forward to your messages each day.  I think it is great that you do so much to help Pat out.  I am sure lots of times you do get very tired, but you seem to keep going...... like the energizer bunny.   However, it sounds like you do know your limitations and know when to rest.  I have a lot of health issues, and I have found that I can only do so much and then have to sit down and rest a while. That is why I spend a lot of time on the computer, as it really relaxes me.

I have 3 sons, two of which live about 10 -15 min. from me.  My oldest son lives about 45 min. away.  His wife is great about getting me back and forth to the doctors and other medical appointments.  She runs the printing business that was her late fathers, so she can pretty much leave whenever she needs to.  My other DIL is a Physical Therapist at a hospital outside of Baltimore City,  and she periodically can get me where I have to go.  My sons are available for things other than appointments.  They take me to the store or will go get things for me,, or come here when I need things down in my place.  I am very grateful for what they all do for me.  But, I do try to not bother them too often.  It is different when you have a daughter.  Although I do have good daughter-in-laws.  Neither of the  2 married ones have children.   My youngest son has grown step-children.  I consider all of them my grandchildren and I do  keep in touch with them.  I have 4 great-grand daughters.  They all live out of town, so don't get to see them very often.

And, yes, my son does have to deal with customers most of the time.  He gets very frustrated at times, as a lot of them always feel like the problems they have are due to the mechanic and not the car.  Cars today are so complex and most times it is in the computer systems that cause most problems.  He started out when he was 16 working at a gas station that did repair work, and has worked himself up over the years.  He works at Toyota dealership and been with this same place close to 25 years.  One of his main problems is that kids don't want to work.  He periodically goes to the trade schools to hire students and the majority of them aren't satisfied to just change oil and do minor jobs.  They don't realize they have to start at the bottom of the ladder and work themselves up.  Most of them don't last very long and it is very frustrating.  They will show up when the feel like it.  The place where he works has over 50 bays.  Work has picked up a lot in the past year or so.  So, he does keep busy.  Luckily, he is on salary.

SHIRLEY  like you summer is my least favorite season. Just heard this morning about the ice storm there. I hope you and all your family are staying inside. Like you I am reading the posts backwords.

JANE  is retirement starting to sound good?

PATRICIA  when I see others in high heels I wonder how I ever walked and even did the jitterbug in them. Flats for me for several years now.

JUNE  I taught my CNA how I liked my bed made. On the other side of the bed I like the sheet tucked in, easier to make the next morning.

AMY  glad we have walk in showers here with a seat, but I already had a bath stool to use. I would not be able to get into a tub anymore.

JACKIE  just saw you will pup sit for Harry. Hope it went well with Toby.

PATRICIA  w have inspection here once a year and they come in, sniff the air to make sure we are not smoking in our apartments, glance around and that is it. I cannot do much anymore but my CNA does a good job most times. I do have to remind her about the baseboards though.

BEVERLY  when I lived in an apartment at my son's house I had him put a grab bar for the tub. It sure was needed. Here seems like the whole bathroom has grab bars on all the walls, on 2 sides in the shower, too. I sure do use them.

JANE how is Jim doing? I pray he is improving.

JUNE  it was getting to the stage I could not stand up even with the rollator, I was leaning over it. I would find myself leaning my right arm on the handle to get the weight off my left side. Made me bend over even more. Amazing how the shots last week helped me. When he hit that one spot he knew where to put the shots. I go again the end of the month and he said the shots would be by the spine. Glad that wound is finally healing. Glad Gary and Dori are there to see Ryan's ordination. Wonderful occasion for them.

HAL  on the news lately they have been saying a lot of flu in this area. Glad I got the shot but that does not help everyone.

JANE do you put peanut butter in your Chili? I never did and was surprised the first time I heard about it used to thicken it up. I have not made it in several years, wonder if my CNA could help me make it. I know it freezes great.

JUNE  know what you mean about soaking in a tub pf hot water. I would love to do that, too.

JOAN  still waiting for that flash drive. Sure glad I called my grandson. I was going to ask him to come when I got that flash drive. Instead he came over to see what he could do. So glad he did, because here I am.

JANE  first time I heard of potatoes in chili. Wish I had been here earlier to try it that way.

JUNE  you would not want to hear what I was thinking and saying about this computer last week.

HAL  I am with you, swallow and suddenly start coughing. Wonder why.

JOAN  laughed at your chuckles-Computer Problems? Wish that was all it takes.

Wish I had gone to the local TV station before when this piece of junk went back to the factory the second time. Figure it is too late now. I would not take another HP if it was the best one they have if they gave it to me.

All finished reading. We had snow this past week, it was cold so it was a light fluffy snow. 2 days later we gad a warm day with rain and only the piles from the plow left.
