Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Oldiesmann: The chat can be accessed from the menu but I don't kow how often anyone is in there

I don't think I'm the boss of me, either.  I went in and took a shower, got dressed and gathered up everything I needed to do the errands I had planned.  Then I sat down and decided I was too worn out from all that activity to go.  So I sat here and paid the bills and the let the doggies out and gave them some kibble for lunch and had some leftovers for my lunch and I got my second wind.  I didn't make it to the Amish store but I went to the pet store and got a large bag of kibble (we were getting low), then I dropped off my payment for sewer service and went to WM.  Along with a few groceries, I got myself a little 5 cup (2 mug) coffee pot for $7.94 and a 2 qt crock pot.

I've already run the required 2 pots of clear water through the coffee pot and I'm making my first 3 cups of coffee in it.  We'll see how it tastes and how hot it is.

Tomorrow I'm going to put some chili in the crock pot and give it a test run.  I don't have to make enough for an army now unless I want to.

Looks like your are all having a good day in spite of the weather.  It sounds like the coffee pot is winding up so I'll go have a cup.  Maybe I'll check for those elusive zzzs later on if Lloyd hasn't used them all up.

Janie, Your pot of chili sounds very tasty. We are having a cloudy and chili morning for Stanton. I am so used to dry heat after all the years I lived in Hemet, this beach air gets into my bones. I had my fish, a glass of milk and a big chunk of red velvet Choc. cake and I am stuffed. Recliner is calling me for more napping, so I'll go reply. zzzzzzz

Sandy--I have everything I need to keep warm.

June--I am proud of you.  You are doing very good with eating and your medications.  Enjoy your nap.

Janie--Chili sounds to good.  I haven't made any in eons.  I think there's plenty of zzz's for all who want them.:)

Joan ...

When I was traveling back across country from
Port Townsend, Washington  (near Seattle),  I
would stop  and throw all my Winter
Clothes into Good Will containers along the way.

I was headed for Florida and expected to stay there for
quite a while,  so who needed Winter Clothes???

As it happens,  I never made it past Baton Rouge, La
before my traveling days were cut short...    When
I got back to New England, I had to invest in MORE
Winter Clothes to keep me warm,  again!

A few years have gone by now,  so I am well stocked!!

I had an early dinner downstairs, and planned to go to a program tonight....however.....my body has suddenly said, GO TO BED. So I am about to obey. Teeth, etc. will have to wait...I'm falling asleep sitting here. Hugs and Love. June
