Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Denver

We have enjoyed another very nice day, looking at the views and playing with the dogs. They love the back yard area and so do we.  The sound of the water rushing down Gore Creek has me so relaxed.

Went for a drive around 2PM and stopped for a bite to eat.  Nothing heavy like German Food us today!  😪

AMY, I wish you could gather several of your beautiful quilts and EVERYFRIED could come and join us.

JACKIE, I am not able to view your video on my iPad, so I will have to wait until I get home.  Sure sounded like a lovely walk.  Happy for you and so happy Benji is doing so well.

JANIE, I am sorry your day did not start out too well, but glad it improved.  Have a good night of rest.

This higher altitude has a way of making me rather lazy si I, too, am starting to think about bed and it is only 8 PM.

Yes, LARRY, this dog sitting location is rough duty.  I bet you would not even recognize Vail now....it has changed a lot.  Happy Birthday to Pat, again.

Pleasant dreams to all.

What a great show we saw tonight on t.v. A lengthy dvd of Andre Rieu. It was an hour and a half long, but the time just zipped by. He has a fantastic orchestra, and they all looked like they enjoyed every minute of their playing, and did Andre himself. I loved it.

Now it is time for an early bed and book, and so to sleep. God's best Blessing to you all. Sleep well, rise happy and healthy, Love, Hugs, and Prayers. June.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Ah, Jenny, I envy you the time in Vail.... we spent a week in Avon, in Vail & Eagle/Vail (different years), not sure those areas still carry the same name, but all kind of ran together so I never knew where I was.  Do love to ride through town on the open bus & just absorb the beauty of the hanging baskets & barrels of flowers all up & down the street, the air is so thin it is hard for me to walk very far.  No matter how hot the days down lower, always nice in Vail & down right chilly at night. Rough time for you, I'm sure~  I also love Aspen.... but you know I'd rather be sleeping out in a camper than a condo.  We did find a Nat'l Forest campground not far from Aspen, over Independence Pass, stayed there a couple nights after the kids were grown & then we went on into town to stay in a motel to please Cas.  He just didn't care for camping, but tried....  Enjoy!

I am hearing heavy equipment yet tonight, some kayakers got in trouble at the overflow by the bridge, where the dam can be closed off to save the city from flooding.  One 20ish local boy, seminarian & friends...5 of them, in 2 kayaks, the one without life vest helped another to the bank & got sucked under.  His body has not been found but they called off the search for the night, not sure why the sounds of motors.  This happened about 8:00 this morning so don't hope to find him alive now.  I went down to the edge of the water a couple times to see if he may be caught in the brush & trees growing in the river bed.  I couldn't see much because the growth is so tall now & river still out of it's bank, has gone down quite a bit but my tiger lilies are still about half underwater.  So sad for family & friends to know it maybe a long time before his body is recovered.

It is possible he has floated way beyond Wichita but my guess is he got caught by all those young trees & half chopped off trees that the beaver cuts down.  There is one area behind the houses to the west of me, that has an inlet with a berm that hides it, the current between the bank & berm & main arm of the river is swift & draws in a lot of stuff.  It doesn't show from the other side of the river, so unless they walk this side, which they can't do right now because of the mud, they wouldn't know about this cove.

Good night, all, and God Bless.  Shirley
