It's been a long and a busy day!  I'm very tired and I didn't get to check out the zzzs on the sofa today so I'm going to go pursue them in my bed early tonight.  I bet that's where they're hiding.  I hope you all have a restful night.  May God bless us, every one!

Halkel, seems we dont want to be living with these machines, yet, we cant seem to live without them, either.....  ::)......Halkel, correct me if I am wrong but the MRI scans dont emit radiation, just the other two, PET's and CT's...see, I have been doing my home - work... ;D...... My CT is due Friday....I shall just lay back and " Think of England " when I am stuck underneath it, or at least that is my plan......

Well my Gynaecologist is Friday so I am assuming the CT scan will be taking place on that day, I am awaiting hospital appointment letter referral ( re, telphone booked appointment ) to drop through my post before Friday....

I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers.....

Jenny, good night my friend, it is now 7.30am here in UK, I have had my first morning cuppa, and about to have my second...

CHUCKLES
Picking Up Clothes

Weary of constantly picking clothes up from the floor of her son's room, a mother finally laid down the law. Each item of clothing she had to pick up would cost her son 25 cents.

By the end of the week, he owed her $1.50. She received the money promptly, along with a 50-cent tip and a note that read:

"Thanks, Mom. Keep up the good work!"

Food For Thought

"The Trouble Tree"
(Author Unknown)

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric-saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

After opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward, he walked me to my car. We passed the tree, and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning, I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

APPLICATION: As Christians, we know that we've got something even better then a "trouble tree," we've got Jesus, whom we can give all our daily burdens. And what's better, is we don't have to (and really shouldn't) take them back! Have a bad day at work? Give it over to your Jesus who loves you, and let it go, and start fresh anew the next day. The more we give our burdens to Jesus, the lighter our loads and the better our relationships with others.

Good morning everyone..

My son sent me a photo of the crepe myrtle and oh my no wonder he is in awe of it....tis beautiful!! Thank you Phyliss ,Lindancer for letting me know about them.
Hmm listening to geese at the moment, something must be bothering them???
Off to the city to take dh for his check up after surgery, then he is going to get his vehicle e-tested,lunch then home!

Gloria, to hear my son talk of these beautiful trees I would love to be there. Wish we could grow them here but our climate is way too cold.

Hal, prayers going you way .

Joan, thank you for breakfast. Love the Trouble Tree story. I think we all should have one of those trees!

Enjoy your day everyone

Joan, and Everyfriends, good morning...... :)

Will be off soon into Dorchester to see my MS Specialist Nurse and her Neurophysiotherapist...not a building we have been to before....I have been umming and arrhing as to whether to have cancelled this appointment, too late now....but two weeks ago as instructed on the three ways of getting into contact with her, told, if I ever needed to..... I emailed to correct some feedback from my previous visit to see MS Consultant, he had got a couple of things wrong such as " I dont have an anal rectum bleed but I DO have a urinary bleed..the only way to get to him is to go through her but, she hasnt even acknowledge my email let alone as to whether she has passed on this info to him or not, this is the same person who made my previous home visit appointment then never turned up on the day, nor had the decency to phone to tell me so....These type of people I dont need in my life....I have coped with my life by myself 65 years, I am sure I will cope till the day I am no longer here.....Anyway I shall go, and I shall tell her my treatment so far is not on a level par to my previous address, re, my Bedfordshire - Northants MS Therapy Centres own MS Specialist Nurse, who you could if needed, get through to her, on at least three days of the week, if not, there was another one on call....Also my previous MS Consultant ( Luton and Dunstable hospital ) had me down for an annual follow-up appointment...the one I saw a few weeks ago, ( Poole Hospital, ) on his letter to me and duplicated letter to my GP, says no further appointments are-were made.....Well as I say, they say there is help out there, yes maybe, but only on THEIR terms.....( And to be honest, I am more concerned with the outcome of this Fridays CT scan, than at present, I am, with my MS....... Oh well, such is life..... ::)

Oh, and while I am at it.... :tickedoff: did you know, MS Specialist Nurses close for the holiday, you cant get in-touch with one, if you needed, yet my - our MS, doesn't stop for the holiday.....

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I slept very well last night.  I did what was suggested in todays Inspirational Reading.  I gave all my troubles to Jesus and I had the smarts not to take them back.  I feel so rested today that I think I can face anything.

Have a lovely day Everyfriend.

Denver

A good Wednesday HELLO to all.

JANIE, I am so happy to read that you had a good rest and I thank you for not taking back any of your concerns that you gave to Jesus.  That is a step in the right direction.  Enjoy your day.

THANK YOU, JOAN, for today's goodies.  I am feeling quite pleased about my stated of mind today as well and I think your Thought for the Day certainly helped and think I should read it daily.

JACKIE, I am hoping things went well today at your appointment.  Sadly these days this is how things are done....rarely do you find someone that actually does their job!  They are rare....well, an example is our Janie...she is caring and does ALL of her tasks well....and our Joan, that takes such good care of us.  Hoping I see a report before I leave today.

Bags are packed and we do not have to leave for the airport until 10 AM, so I am not feeling too much stress at all this morning.

Looking forward to seeing my daddy.  I have asked him to return with us and spend a bit of time, but it does not look like he will.  I know he just doesn't feel that much like traveling, but I so much want him to spend a little bit of time with his great-grand's....they deserve to get to know him better as they are growing up.  I keep my prays up, asking for him to change his mind.

Up, up and away.  Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Everyone!

Been sitting and visiting with my Granddaughter.  Too hot and humid to sit outside on patio, I did get out long enough to take garbage out to curb.

Jackie, I hope you get everything sorted out with the MS folks.  We are kinda at their mercy.  You either abide by their rules or just don't go.  My wife walked out of the eye doctors here while back, they had messed her around and kept her waiting for so long.

Lloyd, I saw you when you opened up this morning, but I need to get back to visit with my kids.  They are going home tomorrow and I suspect I wont get to see April again once she heads back to France.

Anyhow, Joanie, thanks for the postings this morning.  I am trying to practice the "checking" my troubles with the Good Lord and let him deal with them, like he instructs us to do.  Nothing much I can do on my own to change things.  Like the old boy said to his friend: doesn't do much good to gripe, wont change anything anyhow.

Well my day has gone from bad to worse.....Oh I turned up before time for my MS Specialist Nurse appointment, nice large modern building, only to be told by receptionist, I dont have your name on my records, well, I looked at R, and said, no not a again, they not only messed up not replying to my email of two weeks ago.....Well I was right, a double appointment had been booked, only the " right " persons name was marked in the book at MY appointment time, my name was nowhere to be seen,.... but, receptionist clearly saw my appointment letter stating my name, correct date and time....She called my MS Specialist Nurse downstairs to me, I think even receptionist was infuriated on how they managed this mix-up, sure she was on my side, showing her my appointment letter, clearly with my time and day on it.....I let rip with some home truths of how they have been treating me.....1) not turning up to my home for my first appointment....2) not responding to my email of a fortnight ago.....3) today's appointment, or rather non-appointment mix up.....I told her compared to my previous MS team, they were almost excellent compared to the team I now have, its one calamity after another....Told her I cant be dealing with this anymore, dont need this.....I shan't be bothering with them anymore.....She, MS Specialist Nurse, gave me a couple of choices, said her appointment hadn't yet turned up...I said, I AM YOUR APPOINTMENT.....She said in half hours time she will have a free spot, would I be happy to wait...I said, I will wait five or ten minutes, see if the other appointment turns up, if not, the appointment is mine, we agreed on this but, but previously when I started to rear off talking, she looked at her watch and said, " I can give you ten minutes, my appointment will then be due....again, I said, but I am your appointment, I told her I was offended by that.....Anyway, I/we sat by ourselves while she went back upstairs, then a man came in, briefly I heard him tell reception, I have an appointment with the MS Nurse, she sent him upstairs, he seemed to know exactly where to go.....I got up off my chair, approached reception desk, calmly asked her if that was my appointment, she said yes, I told her I am off, and out the door we left......Now I am without any MS team......Well at least I got a whole load of truths off my chest.....told her how disgusted I am with the way I have been treated....I could put in a complaint but, do I want or need the hassle?.....
..............................
Now to make matters even worse...I came home to my Gynaecology appointment letter....there is nothing there to mention CT scan....just babbling on about what to expect on my visit, ie, transvaginal ultrasound scan and an internal examination.....both of these I had done only three weeks ago, at the same hospital.....Oh and I could also expect a hysteroscopy done without anaesthetic....doubt she is even aware I had this done last year....all this seems like a complete mess- up....that old cliche of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing....
.............................
Anyway after this mornings fiasco, I was not going to waste my outing for nothing so I got R to stop off at the half way home pub for a snack meal, ( my loo stop off ) of which I had the same as last time, plus one cup of coffee, followed by a pot of tea for two, R had a beer....

Good morning everyone. I was still awake at 3am and really should still be in dreamland. The men with the noisy lawnmowers woke mme at 7. Wish they would wake the ones in the back of the building early for a change.

PHYLLIS  computer problems are no fun.

JOAN  had a call from HP yesterday. A follow up on my last session with them. Told the one who called I wanted to talk to a superviser, tole that one about all the problems ad that I deserved to have this one replaced because it is no good.  I dould get a different oe at 50% off the cost. How is that for standing behind their products?

PATRICIA  I stayed with 7. Had enough probles with ths machine I do not need more did not need more.

MARY ANN  I am sorry I did not keep my old HP, it was old but still better than this one. The free 10 update is over so no worry about it installing unless one pays for it.

GLORIA de  if I could no longer get here into S&F and see this family I would be very lonesome. In the few years before I moved and had trouble getting out ths group was my whole social life. Like you, I have long admired June and her use of words.

PATRICIA  I had Win 7 home on the old PC and this has 7 pro and there is a big difference in the. I wish I could install my 7 disk in this machine. I will watch that link later.  I used to watsh the other cam from Fairbanks you had shared a long time ago. My son is still using XP. He said his next one will be a Mac. I think that will happen by the end of the year.

HAL  at least your doctor is looking into that growth on your spine.

CALLIE  I can see the sunset from my windows and can see where it is getting more to the south now. It was going down over the far corner of this building and is heading more to the south now.

HAL  so no iron pills for you. Twice I have had to take iron pills. I was also told to eat more liver. No way could I eat that. There are a few of us here who uses PSP and will not give that program up.

JUNEE  hope you weren't hurt in that fall. That is one thing I am so careful to avoid.

JOAN  I'll pass on the French toast. Good chuckles. Love the Trouble Tree. I know just who to send that one to.

AMY  I have never seen Crepe Myrtle either and would love to.

My CNA is on her way up so have to go let her in. BBL8

Hi everyone on another hot day here in South Carolina.  We had another 1/2 inch of rain yesterday evening so I am not going to water the grass tomorrow.

It has been a busy morning.  Pat is really laid up with the sciatic nerve problem and had to use the walker yesterday and again this morning.  This morning she got an appointment with a chiropractor at 9 am tomorrow as she has to do something.  I fixed her breakfast yesterday morning and again this morning and also put together the dinner last evening, fortunately from left overs.  Scott will be with us tonight and I will ask him to prepare the hamburgers or whatever else we have for dinner although I will make the salad and perhaps a little more.  I  just got back from Aldi's and  to stocked up on some fruits, vegetables and a few other things(I didn't get there yesterday as had no energy left after going to Walmart).

I just dealt with a scam email supposedly from PayPal.  I won't click on links in such emails and went directly to PayPal and contacted them through customer service.  They told me my account is fine and to simply forward the email to them at the address she gave me and then delete the bad email.

Mary Ann, you shouldn't have to worry about Windows 10 now self-installing as you would have to pay $119 (I think that is the price) for a license.  I see you are going to update two of your computers to windows 10.

Joan, several years ago I had a shock when I was told I was 5'7" instead of my original 5'10".  I may have something to do with the osteoporosis.  I have been taking calcium and vitamin D for quite a few years now.

JeanneP, it sounds like you took care of a lot of car problems at once.  Too bad about losing the tire but glad the donut tire got you back to your home and didnt leave you stranded on the side of the road.  I would not even attempt to change a tire anymore and that is why I keep the Motor Club as can always get help.

Hal, these health problems seem to be never ceasing.  I hope it is nothing too serious.  I found someone at Great Clips, which is close by, who knows how to do barber work so will be going back there in the near future.

Junee, always alarmed to read one of our folks has fallen.  I sure hope you didn't hurt yourself.

Jackie,  sorry you had so much trouble with your appointment.  Your health care since moving certainly has been low quality or non-existent.

Gloria, I know I would never buy another HP computer.  I have had very good experiences with Lenovo, including replacement when the tech they sent twice could not repair it and the one they gave me was twice the computer I had purchased. I will seriously consider buying our next computers from a business here we have called Computer Exchange.

June Drabek

Mary Ann, you are so right ! I was thinking of getting a mac lap top, but as you say, I do not want to learn anything new at my age. I just hope my iMac lasts as long as I do.

Vanilla, your medical people sound like a nightmare. A person could die of a heart attack from frustration alone. You surely have my sympathy.

I was up early today, did all my prayer books and hymn, then on to the leg exercises and massage. I can't cure these legs and feet, but I do feel I am helping them from getting worse. My doctors seem to encourage what I am doing.

At 10 o'clock I have a Bible class, and two other minor programs to attend. I may pass those up. I have been sneezing my head off and it is tiring me out.

Gloria, I am glad you were able to speak to a supervisor, but what a a farce...they take back a lemon and give you a half price on a replacement. I would still air a complaint to that radio station. Then others won't have problems like you have had.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good morning from a still soggy Interior. Rains expected now through Tuesday, some more flooding and the flood advisory extended for one more day. So nothing new here to report. Farrah has gotten impatient with my slow understandings and attempts to chivvy me along at times.

Hal and Jackie, I am sorry for all your medical problems and issues. I hope you both can remedy your issues soon!  I only hope I am not starting down that same road but believe I am.

Larry, I have my coding in Notebook. How do I move that entry to my taskbar?

Gloria and others, Microsoft has made W10 an update now for some W seven through eight.one users, so it still might show up. I have not had any issues with W10 myself, and I'm sorry others have. I had those issues back with WVista and ME.

Joan FL, you may have our wind, rain, and breezes! The clouds out there remind me of giant, scalloped shells with purple air underneath and deep purple inside. If my camera weren't in the shop, I would have quite a few examples in Photos!

The only news has been  I downloaded the new W10 update and did not see any change in overall performance. I had moved all my necessary and important info to my off bandwidth Dropbox app or my external, most of it was already there.

I had moved some items to my documents or my pictures on my computer in the past for ease. However, after spending a couple of hours moving the items back to the external, I decided to leave them there and just link to them. So my windows files, Documents, Music, Video, Pictures, and PSP are all empty. I believe I prefer it that way.

I'm expecting an Amazon delivery today, and that is about it. Yesterday's medical visit has new appointments to schedule for my balance, eyes and finding a dentist to repair the bridges I have so I will be busy this winter.

He was concerned about my bloodwork and pernicious anemia and that the anemia may be related to my balance issues. I told him I had grown up with these problems, and some of it was related to my not tolerating Ferris Sulfate, or iron.

I guess it is usual for meeting a new physician, but sometimes I felt as if I was in a tennis match, lobbing questions and information back and forth. I lead such a darned robust and exciting life don't I?  ;)

Halkel, thank you for the link, I will make a note.....I just need to mull over whether I need the hassle or not.....I just checked the date on my today appointment letter, says 31st May, that's how long I have had the appointment letter in my possession.......In hindsight I am pretty sure MS Nurse will now check for her email I told her I sent, maybe SHE will have questions with HER superiors.....anyway they can sort it out amongst themselves...

Angelface, I hope for your sake, this doesn't happen to you....dont need this in our lives...

Its the excitement that keeps us going.... ::)

I was out much longer than I expected.  My car is giving me trouble.  There's a terrible noise when I have the a/c on.  I called the Cadillac Service Department to see if I could bring it in.  The first appointment they could give me was next Monday.  So guess I just have to wait, and I'll have Joe take it in for me when he is here.

I've been home a while and now I have to think about supper for Beverly and me.  I'm not used to having someone else depend on my for a decent meal.  I eat whenever and whatever I please.

I think I have something in the freezer I can use.  But she does tend to be a fussy eater.  Otherwise, I'm truly enjoying her visit.  We've done lots of reminiscing.

Bible study didn't happen, the man scheduled to speak didn't show up. Our Chaplain called him...his excuse was illness. So Chaplain read us a good message from the Salvation Army magazine, we were excused. I went back for lunch with three lovely ladies, then home to nap. I am passing up the afternoon activities, just feel too tired to bother with another trip downstairs.  I will go down soon to check for mail, then home to get comfortable and continue doing nothing but enjoying my life at home.

Had a pleasant phone call from son in Santa Cruz, he is finishing up the new banjo he is making. He has so many talents. I'm trying to get him interested in writing, because he is full of knowledge about many things and I would like him to share something in writing a book or articles on some subject that would be helpful to others. He is thinking of it.

Today turned out nice and sunny with low humidity. This is what a summer day should be. Finally did my grocery order today, will be here between 3-5 tomorrow afternoon. If I don;t feel up to putting it all away my CNA told me today to leave it and she would take care of it. She is very helpful. When she first came as a housekeeper she did not know much about how to clean. I asked if she would mind me giving her some tips I had learned over the years and she was all for it. She still likes to talk a lot but gets things done. Then she always makes me laugh and that is the best part.

LARRY  I asked my doctor before about seeing a chiropractor if he thought it would help me and all he did was shrug his shoulders.

PATRICIA  I have been asking around about the doctors here in town and a few have told me about one woman doctor that is great. Since the one I have does not do anything to relive the constant pain I think it is time for a new one. Lot of elderly in this town so the doctors here are familiar with our problems.

JACKIE  I do not want anymore excitement in my life, just peace and quiet.

JOAN  good idea to have Joe take your car in.  So many treat women especially older ones like we are stupid.
Wish I could get my grson here to talk to HP.

JOAN  I would never be able to have a house guest anymore unless it was my daughter. They would have to do the cooking if they want to eat. I am the one who is a fussy eater.

JUNE  I did not ever go out my door today. Any mail can wait till tomorrow. When my CNA left I laid on the couch and slept for more than 2 hours.

A few more things to do and I will be heading for dreamland. Good night everyone, sleep well and wake refreshed.

I did go down to collect my mail and was happy to receive a nice colored photo from my son Dan, picturing different shots of his Banjo he recently built. A work of art to be sure.

Time to have a bite to eat, and let the day continue on. Have a good night my friend. I love you. June
