Good Sunday morning, Everyfriend.  There's Belgian waffles to go with your coffee or tea.  Have a blessed Sunday.

Thanks to Phyllis for her nice “Apples” graphic creation which we are using this week.

Chuckles

Little Johnny

Little Johnny went to visit the local police station. On the wall were pictures of men under a sign, "10 Most Wanted."

Little Johnny asked the policeman, "Are these men mean?"

"Yes," replied the policeman, "and we're going to catch every one of them and put them in jail."

Little Johnny replied, "Why didn't you keep 'em in jail the day you took their picture?"

As onx of thxm, you may say to yoursxlf, "Wxll, I am only onx pxrson, I don't makx or brxak thx church."

But it doxs makx a big diffxrxncx, bxcausx a church, to bx xffxctivx, nxxds thx activx participation of xvxry pxrson.

good Morning everyone. hope you all have a great day.

Amy

Good morning everyone.

Fire is on and it feels good with a temp of 28 ° and foggy as the dickens out there.

A day of rest here...yesterday after laundry, I cleaned out the flower beds, didn't get the hallway painted so that is another job to do.

Lloyd, beautiful grandaughter!!

Phyllis, can almost smell those apples. Like a lot of you here I have used a hand pump for water.

Joan, thank you for breakfast.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning, Lloyd.  Your granddaughter is very pretty.

Amy--Good morning.  It's foggy here, but I sure am glad it's not 28°.  Right now it's 75° heading to above 90°.  Hope you have your geemogotchees on.:)

Good morning.  I made a big bowl of applesauce yesterday and it tastes so good.  Unlike Gloria who makes applesauce and puts some in the freezer, I never freeze applesauce.  I would be taking it right back out of the freezer in just a couple of days.  Applesauce doesn't last long in our house.

Cloudy today with lower temps.  Supposed to only get into the low 70's after being up near 90 yesterday.  Amy, 28 would be a little chilly for me to handle.....I would be wrapped up in so many layers of sweaters and wool afghans I wouldn't be able to move.  And if I had any geemogotchees, Joan, I would have those on, too.   ;D

Lloyd, your granddaughter has such beautiful eyes.  Nice to see a picture of you, too.

I think I'll go to the library this afternoon.  I'm out of books and that always makes me nervous.  Besides, I haven't been out of the house for several days and I need a change of scenery.

Good morning, Phyllis.  Did you put some applesauce in the "hidey hole"?  Glad to hear it's nice enough for you to get out to the library.

Of course I did, Joan.  I wouldn't forget the hidey hole.  Hope you all like lumpy applesauce 'cause that is the kind I make.

Hi everyone on this beginning of the last week of September.  It is a nice 71 degrees this Sunday morning.  This will be a busy morning as have Sunday School and Church and then need to find something to bring home for our Sunday dinner and finally a quick stop at Aldi's for just a few items.

Yesterday afternoon I did attend the 53rd Annual Concert by the Augusta Barbershop Chorus.  The theme of the show was the music of the 60's.  They have a very pleasing sound.  There were also three quartets that performed and the ladies Sweet Adeline's Augusta Chorus.  The concert turned out to be 2 hours long including a 15 minute intermission.  The real highlight of the show was an the Signature Quartet from Florida that had won the 4th prize in the recent International competition and they were excellent.  The lead was a black man with a wonderful voice.  There were about 600 people attending yesterday afternoon.  I had gone early and was able to get a handicapped parking spot close to the entrance.

Amy, your sewing room sounds a lot like the one Pat had in the house we moved from as it was a small bedroom.  In this house it is also a bedroom but is upstairs and has a walk in closet and it's own full bath.  Of course we had to install a chair lift up the stairs so we both could access the upper level of the house.  Our storage area is in the attic across the upper landing from her sewing room.

Hal, I missed out on most of the football yesterday.  I did keep an eye on the scores and the University of Georgia got beat badly by Mississippi and South Carolina was beaten by Kentucky.

June, it sounds like the man you met that was new to your apartment complex has determined that he won't be happy there.  Maybe with time he will meet people and find things that interest him.

Lloyd, you have a pretty granddaughter.

June, it is wonderful that Gary is able to share his talents with the folks where you live.

Phyllis, lumpy applesauce is my favorite applesauce.  Hope you found a good number of books yesterday that interested you.  I seldom go to the library anymore unless it is to pick up a book I have put on hold.  It is so easy to download ebooks or audiobooks that I generally do that.

halkel

Good Morning Everyone!

Lloyd fine looking lady.  Takes after her Mother.   ;)

Got to get ready for church.  Talk to you later.

JoanFL

Good morning, Larry.  Glad you enjoyed the concert so much.  I like lumpy applesauce, too.

halkel--Good morning.    See you after church.

Janie is missing this morning.  I hope she is OK.

Good morning everyone, this morning is a jeans and sweatshirt one here. 52° but bright sunshine so it will warm up.

LARRY  you are doing great helping around the house and helping Pat.  Not all men can learn to do all you are now doing. Nice to know what time of day is the slow time for stores. This place has 1 storage room on each floor and you get space for 2 of those plastic bins, no more than that, and there is a room where everyone's AC is stored in the winter. I keep every thing in here. Need to let the office know when you need something from the storage room and then have to wait till the maintenance man has a chance to unlock the door.

JUNE  there is always someone who is not happy where they live. We have one here who complains about every thing and does like not anyone. I could have ordered online but I wanted to see the new keyboard. The one that came with this computer is small and I have a time typing on it, hit 2 keys a lot of the time.

MARY ANN  glad you found your ring.

LLOYD  your granddaughter is beautiful.

PHYLLIS  your graphic is perfect for this time of year.  How I enjoyed going to my son's at this time of year. Just the smell walking through his orchard was heaven.

JOAN  love Food for Thought. That author sure picked a very needed letter for his story. Thank you for today's goodies.

AMY don't think I'm ready for temperature in the 20's yet but tonight the weather guessers are saying some areas will fall to the 30's tonight and have said there could be a frost. We are in the coldest part of this state. I wish I could have turned the heat on this morning but it is still shut off. I think they do not turn it on till the first of October. My AC has a heat section in it and was tempted to try it this morning when I got up.

JOAN  I was tempted to get my geemogotchees on this morning but settled for wool knee socks.

PHYLLIS  I did keep a bowlful of applesauce in the fridge and that is almost empty already. I have been adding some to my oatmeal in the mornings and for a snack in the afternoon I will have 2 slices of toast with some applesauce. That will be the only batch of it I make this year, not enough room in the freezer for more. I have some LLBean wool geemogotchees. Nice and warm. I will be going down to the library later for another book. Finished one last night, stayed up till 1am to finish it. Have not done that in years.

Have a great day.

Lloyd--She certainly is pretty.

Good morning, Gloria.  Good thing you have those wool knee socks.  Seems unfair to set a date when the heat will be turned on.  IMO it should be available as needed.  I try to read at night, but I fall asleep after about 15 minutes.

Good Morning Everyone,
from the cool,  clear,  rocky coast of Maine.

The weather is awesome.   What I like to call
"sweater weather"  with the sun shinning.
Hopefully the hot and humid days of
Summer are now behind us.

I got up this AM and did a much needed
cleaning out of my refrigerator.    Phew,
I am glad that is over and done with!!!

I think that now I am going to grab myself
a bite to eat..

Have a good day,  everyone!

I am in to say Good Morning, and I am out to get ready for Church. Love you all.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Mary Ann

Amy lives in Canada and I wonder if her 28 degrees is in Celsius not Fahrenheit.  We had 51 degrees at 7:30 am and it was "sweater weather" for me, my favorite times of the year.

The sun is shining now and we probably will get up to the lower 70s.

Mary Ann

JoanFL

Sandy--Nice you are having sweater weather.  The only time I use a sweater is when I go into a business establishment--they all keep their places so cold.

June--See you after church.  Love you, too.

Mary Ann--You are probably right that Amy stated her temp in Celsius.  Your weather sounds pleasant.

Past noon, so can't say good morning any longer.

It is a pretty sunny day , but a lot cooler.  I almost turned my furnace on,  but just put an extra cover one.

Our family party yesterday was nice. The day started out kind of "iffy" but the sun came a little later and it turned into a nice day.  A little chilly, so my sweat shirt felt good, and then a light jacket after the sun went down.

Lots of good food plus a wonderful selections of desserts.  Not as many people came as past years, but all had a good time.  The kids had fun with a scavenger hunt and of course, on the hayrides.

I stayed out on the deck with several nieces and nephews who I hadn't seen for a while, plus some old friends.  We had a lot of fun talking about old times.  One family used to be our old neighbors when our kids were little. We are all getting "up there" and have a lot of fond memories to reminisce about.

I didn't get home until after 9, and was tired.  I slept until after 9 this morning.   Need to start thinking about lunch.

Lloyd, you sure have a very pretty grand daughter.  Glad she was able to spend some time with you.

Larry, I would have liked your afternoon of listening to the Barbershop Quartets.  I love that kind of singing and haven' heard any of that kind of music for a very long time.  Happy that you were able to go.

Hello to all the other friends this afternoon.

Have a wonderful rest of the day,

Joy

Good afternoon, I am here on the computer, but also watching golf on this lovely sunny, cool day.

Joan, Even though it is late, I will have a Belgian waffle.  First one I ever had was at the NY World's Fair.

Phyllis, liked the graphic very much, made me feel like Autumm is here. I like this time of year.

Lloyd, you have a lovely G.daughter

Amy, I thought it cold here, and it was only 50

Gloria, I did turn the heat on here for a little while and it felt good.  To night could go to  40 and 30 in the Pine Barrons.

Joy, sounds like you had a nice time, enjoying your visit with old friends and family.

Larry, I have always liked Barbera Shop singing.  when I worked at the hospital my supervisor sang with the Sweet Adolines, they even went to England to sing in Internalional Competition

Amy, the frost was really on the pumpkin at your house!  We had 51 degrees F here and I turned on the heat to take the chill off in the house because it was only 69 inside and I usually keep it around 72.

Look what the cat dragged in......Me. Had a good Church service. A guest preacher that operates a ministry (with his wife) to the inner city of Long Beach,Ca. Something we never had in the many years I lived there. It is downtown ICM ministries. They impact the lives of gang members, drug addicts, prostitutes, one-parent families, and the homeless. Their "Basement Church" provides meals, counsel, encouragement and teaches of God's unrelenting Love. He said, "You people live in a gated community. Keep it that way, because you have no idea of the things that happen outside those gates." This is Orange Co. which at one time had Long Beach Residents flocking to live here. It was considered the most conservative county in Ca. then. Change is something happening all over our United States, and he made us aware of it.

Bis, thank you for your message of Love. I felt it dear and appreciate it.

Larry, my Gary made a big hit with his music last night...and his personality. I have been hearing many nice things from others today. And Gary is just Gary. No pretense in him at all. I am so very blessed with two fine sons and wonderful "daughters" they brought into my life. I hope you had a restful day.

Bis and Jane, thanks for alerting us to your computer troubles, now we shan't worry if you are absentees.

As long as we are here, let's dance.
