Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

“On this anniversary of 9/11, we remember the Americans whose lives ended in terror by forces that sought to attack not only our people, but also our identity as a nation. Those who attacked us that day meant to strike fear into our hearts, but America proved that we would not give up on the values and the ideals that distinguish us as a people.

“From the first responders who charged toward danger to the men and women in uniform who served their country in the aftermath of the attacks, we offer our gratitude and continue our commitment to upholding our promise to care for those who keep us safe. And we’ll continue to fight terrorism.

“We should remain as determined as we were fifteen years ago to never forget.”

Sun,  it is so good to have you back.  Sorry your hand is still bothering you, but do as much "hunt and peck" as you can so you can at least let us all know that you are doing ok.

For what it is worth................   almost 30 years ago,  my youngest son had a problem with alcohol and went to AA meetings religiously.  I went to Ala-non meetings to help myself understand what was going on.  I learned one very important thing there..........

You don't have to agree with something to accept it. This has gotten me through many, many different situations.  That is the first thing I tell myself when I encounter a situation that I either don't like or have a problem with.   It sure makes my life a lot more pleasant.

And, thankfully, my son got himself straightened out and is doing well.

It was in the 90's today, but tomorrow it is supposed to be a lot cooler and stay that way all next week.

Hope everyone will have a good rest of the evening.

Hooray!  Sun's back!  We have really missed you!  Come back often and peck at us!

I'm off to Dreamland soon.  I think it's raining and that's good sleeping weather for me.  I hope you all have a peaceful night's rest and may God bless us, every one!

Sun, welcome back.  If you can only hunt and peck with one finger, do it!  If you don't spell right, so what!  We want to hear from you some way or other.

As others have said, - we missed you.

SUN....
.....A  very warm welcome back, I have often thought about you, and how your bad hand has been  faring....

JOAN...
...Thank you, but it wasn't you who hurt my feelings or angered me....just in future I shall be more careful of the subjects I openly talk about...
In the past I would have turned a blind eye from comments I could have posted a reply to, but not on this occasion...

MYCHEAL....
...Yes, one of our saddest days in history, 15 years ago, and not only American lives, 67 British.....it affected and shed so many tears around the world...

DE ANGEL ( Gloria De )...

" Re your statement...." People are aways asking me how do I feen, when I am out somewhere.  Most of the time, I say I made it here, no use to say how I really feel..."

I would tell them, SOME of those people will genuinely want to know how you are..... and in time you will find those who really do want to listen to your answer, and the ones who dont. .... So you will know next time THEY ask, whether to keep quiet or not...

JUNEDRABEK....

...Re, keeping alive....it was only the other day I was looking up the list of British Super Centenarians....I was so surprised to see such a long list, and the ages of reaching 110 to 115....With our oldest remaining living, age 112 and 82 days...

...Re, your statement of......" you dont have to agree with something to accept it..."
I can see how it worked for you over your then alcoholic son, and very happy to know he had the support from a loving and caring mother, and through you, and your help and devotional support, he has now gotten over it and leading a better life...
....................................................

...but this now brings me onto the subject of.....for years now both myself and R have been tv Coronation Street fans, this is our longest running tv soap, going back to the days of Ena Sharples, Mini Caldwell and Martha Longhurst, if they were alive today they would turn in their graves if they could see how Coronation Street has turned out now....The programme has for many years shown either a set of female couples or a set of male couples, but it has NEVER shown anything going on between them, and certainly not close up or Intimate, we all have a good imagination, so it was just left to that but  ...now we have a male couple that no bars are hold, ( one is playing a vicar, ) we are both finding this programme now hard to watch, we both turn our heads or fast forwards, how has this programme of 56 years turned into this, is stooping so low...so on this basis, we all know that same sex relationships go on and is here to stay, we accept this but, we dont want, nor have to accept it, being shown on what was once a decent and humorous  three weekly tv soap....On this basis neither myself nor R will, or can accept this, nor agree with this, whilst being shoved down our throats at 7.30 in the evenings, before our watershed of 9pm....I am sure other long time tv fans of this programme must be as disgusted as we are, just who are these script writers?.....What we need is another Mary Whitehouse...a clean up tv campaigner...
