Mary Ann - sounds like this wasn't one of your better days.  :(  Lots of things going wrong with those Potassium pills.  I hope they can prescribe a different size, that will be easier for you to swallow?

Nothing happening here today.  I planned on getting lots of things accomplished today, but I don't know where the hours went?  AJ went to Costco, and came hone with some fresh salmon, ready to bake, so that will be an easy meal tonight. I have some potatoes and new Spring asparagus, so I'm really looking forward to dinner for a change.

Hope everyone had a nice day?  See you all tomorrow morning!  :)

MaryAnn.
Tell them that you need your pills in capsule . Most come with choice. Get my BP tat way now because I take at bed time and the solid powder ones stick in my throat and won't go down. I think capsules a little high price to make so that's why they don't want to give out.
You have a better day tomorrow. The will start having you do things on your own now. Seems the want you out back to home fast. Way insurance works. Hope you can get some help at home from them.

AMY - Thank you for the greeting, but it's not my birthday   ;D  . . .  it's the other Marilyn's birthday . . . the one who posts in Bosom Buddies. (And is much younger than I am!)  ::)
I hope I'm still here in August, and if so, I'd love to get a birthday card from you then!

Amy

Marilyne, dear me I should have paid more attention! I have lots of time now to pick out a special card for you. :)

Brrr!  We are having one of our cold spells.  It got down into the 30s last night.

Mary Ann, that is scary about getting the pill caught in your throat.  If they are in tablet form maybe they can cut them in half.  I had to take potassium tablets for awhile and they were a decent size.  So surely they can get you something better.

After that bad storm yesterday, it is bright and sunny today.  I have a very simple one cup coffee machine and yesterday when I went over to Gigi's for a cup of coffee (when the electricity was out), I was amazed at her coffee machine.  It was too complicated for my simple brain.  It does all kinds of different things if you know how to use it.  So I just said Help and she made me a cup of very good coffee.  When we got back home after an hour or so, thank goodness the electricity was back on and life was back to normal.

The morning is almost gone.  I cooked breakfast and Larry did the cleaning up.  Since than I've just been relaxing and enjoying a nice quiet time with my iPad and catching up on mail and such.  Think I will go back to a book I'm reading.

Joan, do you still have snow on the ground there in your area of Washington?  Years ago, Larry's older sister lived in an area of Washington that had a lot of snow in the winter.  Later they moved to Tocoma which has mild winters.

Joy, I trust you are feeling better.

Have a good day everyone.

angelface555

A good morning to all from the Interior and I hope everyone is having a good day!

wjoan

FLAJEAN,  that snow lasted til the next morning is all.  We rarely see snow here except last year  we had six weeks of the stuff.  First time since 1906.

Some pills are not to be cut in half or chewed, however, I found with one of mine, it's easier to put it in a spoonful of water, let it melt a bit, then with some water in your mouth, take the spoon and swallow the pill with the water.  You said your pill was "porous" so it should be able to melt nicely.  Ask the nurse if this is okay. I do my BP pill this way. :P

It's 4:15 in Grand Rapids, and we haven't heard from Mary Ann, yet today?  I hope everything is okay, and that she is just busy with therapy and visitors?

Nothing happening of any interest here.  Sunny and pleasant, with my backyard thermometer reading 66 degrees, right now at about 1:15.  Supposed to be a high of 68 degrees by 3:00, and then cooler tomorrow.  Still no rain in sight for the next two weeks.  :'(

No hockey game tonight, so we will likely watch one of the movies nominated for the upcoming Academy Awards.  Other than that, the weekend is looking very quiet.

Friday once again.....and it is a cold, dreary and very snowy day.

I did not get to post here last night as my iPad ran out of juice!  I had quite a bit to chat about, but right now I have to just tell the sad news we heard a bit ago.  I do not know any details, as Dave just texted, "Back to chemo starting next week. 😢. I'll call later." 😢
We are heartbroken......  I know Dave will call when he can, but he has so much on his plate, and we just have to be patient😩😩

The children are home today as school was canceled.  It is really bad out.  The last I heard Dave had over a foot of snow and that was hours ago.  We have nearly 10inches and it is still coming down.

I thank you ALL for your continued support..... I am just so very sad that a good report was not what Michele had.  She has a MRI this coming Monday and we can only hope and pray that she might get a good report on that🙏🙏🙏

MARILYNE, you know I will be holding the most positive thoughts and saying prayers that AJ will indeed get a all clear report from his scan.  🙏🙏🙏

MARY ANN, I do hope things will go a bit smoother for you today with the pills.

I wish you all a good rest of your day.

Jenny, not the news one wanted to hear but there is hope! Back to chemo, not radiation....the Drs must feel that more chemo will help. Michele is one amazing lady with the will beyond belief.Prayers for all that this time the chemo works.

I just wrote a semi-long post, made a mistake, went to Preview and lost the thing.  The gist of the story is that if everything goes OK, I will go home Tuesday. As usual, I've had a lot of medical visitors, also therapy which nearly did me in and I've been lying down nearly all day.

Jenny what sad news about Michele; I hate to hear that.

I'm still lying low so won't try to retrieve what I lost and I am sure I'll be back here tomorrow.

Made another mistake so here it is.

Mary Ann

Marilyne

Jenny - I'm very sorry to hear the bad news about Michele.  I feel so bad for her, and for Dave and the kids, and your entire extended family.  All you can do at this point, is to encourage her, and try to maintain your faith.  We will all be praying for her.

Mary Ann - Good to see a message from you, that you will most likely be going home on Tuesday.  That's only three more days, and then back to your familiar and comfortable lifestyle.  I know that Kendrick, is waiting patiently for your return!

Amy

   MaryAnn, that is good news!! Everyone will be glad to see you at home....Hmmm wonder if Kendrick will give you the cold shoulder for leaving him alone?? Will be nice to get back into your own bed and schedule.

MaryAnn, Tuesday is not far off.  Keep up the good work; Kendrick is waiting for you!

Good morning, Mary Ann and Every Buddy looking in.  Mary Ann, I'm glad you are feeling better and also hope that you'll be able to go back home, soon.  Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and hopes that you'll be able to get back home soon.

Our cold spell is over for now and the coming week will be warmer.

Hope things go well for you today, Mary Ann, and you continue to improve.

Getting ready to go to the library.  Both books I got the other day were not too interesting and I just gave up on them after awhile.

The sun is shining.  I just wish I had a bit more energy!  Hope everyone will have a good day!

UK is expecting the biggest Storm in seven years over this weekend and Monday....Storm Ciara...bringing severe gales, strong "damaging" winds - heavy rain...forecasting a month of rain in one day...

JeanneP

Jackie. You stay buckled down. I heard from up North UK that bad storms there also. Hope they dont get anymore flooding
Now someone mentioned to Mary Ann to cut her big pill is half . that is O.K because you are taking at the same time. When it says DO NOT CUT IN HALF. That means do not do it to take another day in order to save money. I know some people do that.
Mary Ann. Hope you do get home Tuesday. You have been there long enough. Most probably what they have taught you can be done at home.

... i am more worried about my back garden as i have driver JCB digger machines - excavators digging up the back garden last week with another two plus weeks to go...where once was grass is now complete soil-mud, they are taking down rotting log beams running the whole length then building a lengthy brick wall...the back garden looks like a bomb has hit it, a real building site...heaven knows what this weekend will throw at us after Ciara has paid a visit...debris flying around...

angelface555

Good Morning All, we had snow last night, over four inches, and it looks pretty on the tree branches. We've stayed in the late teens for highs and lows, and it is a crazy day here. I went to bed at twelve and slept until ten AM. A very odd thing for me to do.

I saw a photo of our past commander in chief, Norm, and Dot on the left, and it reminded me of his and PJ's past ribbing posts.  :)  Those are good memories! I'm hoping to hear more from MaryAnn today and that they've reached a pill solution.

Amy

Patricia, when I saw this I thought of you and Mary Ann..can you imagine having a pair of kittens? The antics of both would have one in stitches!!6004be2c-7549-4bc1-a68c-acabbe991814.jpg Hi Kittens.jpg

Mary Ann

Amy, such cute kittens.  They make me think of the Indps kittens who must be five months old now.

Thank you all for your wishes.  Today was a so-so day.  I had my usual breakfast that that's all I had all day; I just did not feel like eating.  About an hour ago I had a complete shower so I am nice and clean after one of the women gave me shower..  I have no idea what supper is but I know I'm not hungry but I know I should eat somethings.  Maube they have something liquid.

I have to send Tom a message so I'll return tomorrow.

Mary Ann

Stars, (Not to be confused with today's popups); Robert Conrad and Orson Bean, died today at 84 and 91.

angelface555

MaryAnn, its good to get these daily reports that we all look for. There are times when we're not hungry, and we know we should eat. I wonder if they have some liquid supplement for those kinds of days, altho not as a habit?

Mary Ann

Tonight's supper was a piece of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, ice cream and ice cream.  I took some of each so now we'll see if they stay with me.

It is midnight and I am just getting in to read about your day.

We had sunshine today and the temperature nearly got to 50 degrees! The snow was really melting!  We are very blessed to get this very wet snow and a LOT of it.

I spoke to Dave this morning for just a few minutes and I do believe this is the saddest I have ever known him be, and rightfully so 😩 We all know how difficult it is when our children are hurting😢

I spoke to all of the sons today and relayed the sad information and they are all so VERY heavy hearted, spouses too!

Tonight was the Daddy 💕 Daughter Dance at Kate's elementary school.  Our little girlie is getting so tall and so grown up looking.....life goes one, one way or another❣️

MARY ANN, I am sorry you did not have a better day.  Not being able to eat is not good, as you well know.  At least you tried to eat some of your dinner and I hope you felt OK.  Sleep well and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for you🥰

JACKIE, I know you must be very concerned about the mess in your garden with this bad storm coming......something else for you to have to worry about.  😩

AMY, those kittens are precious, and yes, I can just see them running all over the place and playing (roughly) with each other ❣️ Thank you for sharing them💕

I really must say goodnight.......sweet dreams to all❣️

... just this minute caught up with Michelle's recent report on starting chemo on Monday, so sorry to hear of this news just wishing and hoping all turns out as it should be in the end and she, Dave and the children can just get on with their lives as a young family should be doing...

Mary Ann, I'm glad to see your post.  I am praying for you and hope you'll soon be able to go home.  Keep us posted.  Love and hugs, Sue.
