Hi Everyone. I awoke about 3:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so got up early this morning.  The only thing on the agenda for today is to attend our Prime Timer's Senior Luncheon at Church at 11:30.  We are to get to the mid-60's later this afternoon and little chance of rain.

Marilyne, glad you have at least one place you can go to eat out fairly often.  We have an abundance of them around here with prices in the mid-range.  We still have housing developments being started with prices starting at the $150,000 mark so cost of living isn't too bad around here.  I know the prices out your way are many times higher than that and have to wonder how people who work in the service industry's can afford to live there.

Yesterday I was able to send the computer UPS on the way to Pat's sister.  Shipping costs are terrible. Our University Hospital not long ago bought another hospital called Trinity and it is two or three miles down the same road.  That was where we had to go and it isn't a busy hospital like the main campus.  There was no waiting and Pat was finished 30 minutes before her scheduled time.  It was too early to eat out so we just came on home making a couple of quick stops. We stayed home the rest of the day and had some more of the Reuben Casserole from a couple of nights ago as there was plenty left over and it was better even the second time around.

MarsGal, years ago we had a broker who kept changing companies and moving our investments to new companies, which always managed to result in new costs to us.  I finally moved most of our investments to Vanguard.  Pat bought regular corned beef and not brisket and when she got it out of the Instant Pot it had really shrunk in size.

Mary Ann, when going out to eat with our friends, unless they are just visiting us and then it is our pleasure to buy the meals, we just go Dutch treat and that way no one ends up with a big bill.  However, it makes sense for your and Dot to follow your practice of alternating.  My problem would be to remember whose turn it was to buy.  :)

Mary Ann

Larry, whose turn it is to pay becomes second nature, however, I did get a bit confused Sunday even after Dot reminded me (after I asked) that it was my turn because when we got to the restaurant, I still did not remember it was my turn to pay.

I look beautiful right now (Ha Ha!) because I had my hair cut and the stylist combed my hair afterward so for the rest of the day, I look nice.  My hair will look nice a couple of days, then, after sleeping on my left side, that side will be flat and I don't like that.  If you don't think the year is going fast - my next hair appointment is May 1!

It is rainy today, but the temperature is in the mid 40s.  I did not wear a coat to the salon, nor to breakfast next door.  What a nice feeling!

It's foggy at Grand Haven, I can't see a thing!

Mary Ann

Marilyne

Mary Ann - I just looked at Grand Haven, and my picture shows solid gray, with nothing else showing! ha ha!  So the lake is definitely socked in with fog today.

I'll follow your good example, and make an appointment to have my hair cut later this week.  My hair has gone completely long and limp, and I look very witchy!  Our older daughter and granddaughter are coming today to spend a few days, and will be here this afternoon, so I'll have to put the haircut off until Friday or Saturday.  I shouldn't have waited to long, but seems that I can't accomplish all the things that need to be done.

Joy

Mary Ann,  just would like to give you a little suggestion. It might help your "hair" problem.   I have short hair and I can't get a permanent anymore because of the medicine I take, so when I get it cut, the gal does comb it out and styles it.  When it gets a little "messy"  I wet my hands and use some Suave Mousse and just mess it all around in my hair and let it dry.  When it dries, I just brush it a little bit and it comes right back.

I was just remembering that, with your shoulder problem,, maybe you would have a hard time using the brush.  Anyway, it was just a suggestion.  Maybe you could figure something out.

Marilyn, I have my hair cut every five weeks and I wear it short.  I have two cowlicks at the back of my head and I can't grow my hair long because the hair splits at the cowlicks and looks awful.  When I was about 11 or 12, I had an end curl because I wanted to grow my hair longer and this was the days of the machine permanents.  The permanent took too good and the ends of my hair were frizzed.  I vowed at that time to never have another permanent - and I haven't!  As I said, my next haircut is May 1.  I had the same woman for about 30 years and she retired last year.  The new stylist and I are working to keep my hair looking nice, but it is a battle.

There is now rain on the window at Grand Haven, you'd never recognize it!

Joy, I'll consider your suggestion.  If I could sleep on my right side sometimes, it would help, but my shoulder won't let me sleep on that side.  Anyway, my hair looks very nice today - and Tom told me so!!!

Good afternoon again, just lost half of what I wrote. I will try again.

Larry, I am trying to get use to this new computer, everything seems so small. This screen is 15 w. my other one was 23W. The other one Keith kept set up, so I do play my favorite games on. My other one just got so very slow.

Maryann, I had my hair cut afew weeks ago, there is a licence beautician who lives in the park, she only charges $15.  By the way I bought a leg of lamb yesterday, had not planed on, but they were onspecial sale. It was regular $54. I got it for $20. I had Keith cut two roast and two chops out of it. I have not cooked a leg
of lamb in 11 years, as the price is aways to much.

Joy, I have a hair dressing I putt on damp hair, and it gives it more life

I just lost my post again, and my nephew said : go to control and the hit z. It did work, I never knew that

Marilyne

Joy - Thanks for the hint about the Suave mousse. My hair tends to fly around, and always seems to be filled with electricity, even when the weather is damp.  I've been looking for something to make it lie down, so I'll give that a try.

Mary Ann and Gloria de - I just got an email notice about a 96th birthday celebration for Doris Day. (Remember her? Singer and movie star?) It's not really a party, but is a fundraiser for her Animal Rescue Foundation.  She has raised lots of money over the years for her foundation, and every year for her birthday, she sends out emails in hopes of getting a donation.  I did send money a couple of times, but doubt that I can afford it this year.  We shall see? :-\

Marilyne

Here's the invitation to her 96th birthday: It's colorful and interesting to look at.
https://www.dorisdayanimalfoundation.org

Mary Ann

Congratulations to Doris Day on her 96th birthday.  However, I am not going to donate nor send a greeting because I am on too many lists already and I don't need more.  Actually, most of the lists I am on I just "got there" as I did not contact them for any reason.  I have narrowed my donations down to about a half dozen places, mostly in my area.  The others can send me what they wish but I don't send them anything.  To begin with I only sent them $5 at Christmastime anyway.

I did like Doris Day movies and I still like to listen to her singing - where you can understand each word she sang, as opposed to today!

I've been working on my income taxes and I find I have to pay through the nose.  I didn't realize I'd have to pay as much as I do, but "it was a very good year" for my funds.  Both Federal and State think I'm more affluent than I do!

Mary Ann

MaryAnn, my biggest donation goes to the Volunteer Ambulance Fund. They took my husband many times. Last year I had to call them 5 times. They were wonderful each time they come here and right away.

Mary Ann

Gloria, we have an agency called ACCESS (All County Churches Emergency Support System) and they mastermind several food pantries.  I give to ACCESS and two of the food pantries; one is in my area and the other is not but is supported by my church denomination.  I have another couple favorite charities, so with fewer charities, I can give larger donations.  I used to do computer work at the food pantry in my area.  I think it is wise to give to charities and organizations you believe in, ones you know do good work, like your ambulance fund.

Looks like Candy has found a way to clear out ONE storage locker,  Her brother <Dan>  is going to  help.  She is excited for sure.  The big storage is in NV but that will have to wait.

Hi Everyone.  We are to have a nice warm 82 degree day today but remain partly cloudy.  No rain is in the forecast.  We had a great time at the Prime Timer's Senior Luncheon yesterday.  One of the Methodist churches in Augusta has a seniors chorus.  There were about 30 members in attendance.  We were invited to sing along with them as they sang and they are all the old songs we had grown up with.  They do a secular and then a sacred segment.  We then had a delicious potato with ham soup, salad a biscuit and delicious dessert for our lunch.  In a few minutes I will take Pat down to the Church so she can attend the Gifts craft group.  I think this will be the first time this year she has attended.  I will go down and have coffee with the guys at the cafe and then after picking her up we will stop by Walmart to pick up the grocery order she placed yesterday.  Finally on the way home we will stop at a battery store to replace the battery in the new phone she recently got as it is not holding a charge.  Hopefully that will solve the problem and if not the phone will be returned.  We sure don't want to send it back as it is a perfect phone for seniors who don't want to use a smart phone.  I have already prepared our lunch sandwiches as know we both will be tired when we get back home.  I also grated a pound of cheese.  This evening we will be going to Diablo's with Scott, Jennifer, Elizabeth and perhaps one other.  They will then come out for the evening.

Mary Ann, I think a lady always feels better after a trip to the beauty shop.  I am going to wear a jacket when it is in the 40's.  You are indeed a lady from the North. Even though you have to pay a lot more taxes having a very good year with your funds is a very good thing.

Marilyne, sometimes we just don't have the energy to do things we would like to do. I do remember Doris Day.  She was a good actress and a good singer.  I know she loves animals.

deAngel, my desktop monitor is 22 inches and my laptop is 15 inches.  I guess I have just adapted.  You can probably put most of the games you play on your laptop as well.  That is where I play games and do the puzzles.  I am glad your nephew could advise you on a way to recover your lost posting.  I am not familiar with that technique but will try to remember it.

I am going to have to come back later and read yesterday's postings as am running out of time before we need to leave but wanted to pop in and say hi this morning.

Joan, Candy will probably find her apartment gets a lot smaller when she gets all of her things from storage.  :)  I didn't think Stacey had very much until I had to clean out her apartment.  It was a job.

wjoan

Larry, I know.  People here have been giving her stuff and she now has a bed, couch, lots of desks and cabinet for her TV Dan bought her.  LOL  I gave her some dishes and silverware and some other things so she is not wanting for anything. :)

JeanneP

I can't find the tip tat was posted the other day that you can use when loosing a posting. I just lost a long one. Please post again. Will write it out next time.

Marilyne

Yesterday our older daughter Shelley, and gr-daughter Claire, arrived for a two day visit.  They didn't bring the cat this time, so will only stay for two nights.  Fortunately, the weather has finally warmed up, after cold temperatures and icy rain for the entire month of March.  It's supposed to hit 80 degrees today, so that will warm things up at last.

Larry - I laughed when I read your comment to Mary Ann about being, "a lady from the North".   I would also be bundled up with layers and a hat and gloves, if I had to go somewhere in 40 degree weather!  To me, that sounds extremely cold for daytime temps!  It has to get into the mid 60's, before I remove my jacket. :D

Today we plan to go out for lunch, and then have dinner here again tonight.  Claire loves to go to the Outback, when they come for a visit, so we will most likely go there.

About the Doris Day link that I posted . . . I just thought that it was interesting, and I was definitely not soliciting funds for her Animal Foundation! Ha ha  I’m sure she does very well, with donations from friends and fans from around the world!   I have always admired her for doing good, with all of her money.

Mary Ann - I also liked her singing voice, because you could understand every word in her songs.  I remember "Sentimental Journey", that was popular right after the War.  My favorite of her movies, was the Alfred Hitchcock thriller, "The Man Who Knew Too Much", with James Stewart.

Mary Ann

Marilyn, the Doris Day movies I would have seen probably would have included Rock Hudson and nothing like an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

I just watched a Property Brothers program.  It is one of the building programs on HGTV.  I am amazed at the prices of California homes; the one they worked on was $875,000 which a couple bought for $850,000 and they had a budget of over $1 million, including renovation.  What surprised me was that one of the brothers took hold of a door of an upper cabinet in the kitchen and it broke in two.  I know home prices in lower CA are high but a million dollar home here would have cabinets that would not have broken so easy.  I hope things are not that shoddy in your area.

My snail mail brought a wedding invitation from Tom's former wife.  I had already told her that I would not be there - age is a wonderful excuse.  I always try to treat her nicely when she calls but I do not call her.  She's very flowery and I usually don't believe she's sincere in what she says.

I ordered a garden salad with the groceries this week so I had one for my lunch.  Lots of lettuce, grated cheese, a couple of grape tomatoes, ranch dressing.  Two for $5.  Their layered salad is the same price, but has less lettuce and more vegetables.

Larry . Before I forget. I just ran across the street to Aldi's. I know you go there a lot.  Big sign out now that you can Order all on line and they will deliver to your door. Never thought they would do that. I really enjoy looking around the place. So big now. To easy for me to just go in....

Hi Everyone.  We are off to a sunny morning with partly cloudy forecast later today and a high of 85 degrees.  I am going to go to coffee this morning and take my friend from the assisted living place.  I will bring him home and then hop on the Interstate and go over to Costco to return the Rollator that we had ordered for Pat.  So glad to bought it from Costco because it will be easy return without having to box it up and send it by UPS as it is really too heavy for me to be lifting very much.  I was not successful yesterday in finding a battery for Pat's new phone but last evening I checked the little book that came with it and there was a website and email address.  On the website was the model phone that we got for Pat and a picture of the battery that was available for $8 so I ordered it.  It will come from Hong Kong.  Before I discovered the website I had written an email asking for help with the battery issue.  Within 30 minutes I had a response saying they knew I had ordered the battery and a little bit later got notice it was being shipped with a tracking number.  Hopefully this will solve the problem as Pat loves the phone and we didn't want to take it back.  We went to Diablo's and had a great meal then enjoyed a nice visit with the group here at the house.

Joan, it sounds like Candy will be a good donor to Goodwill or some other charity when we gets all of her things out of storage.  When our daughter died we gave a lady friend of hers in the apartment building, who basically had nothing in her apartment, a lot of her furniture including the adjustable bed, and easy chair, the food from her pantry, linens and a lot of other things.  The friend had been sleeping on the floor and was almost blind. We were also able to give her electric wheelchair to an older lady whose chair had broken down and who wasn't eligible for a replacement.

JeanneP, one of the things you can do when you lose a posting is to use the back arrow and it will often go back to the page where you had typed the posting.  However, you have to do this in the same tab. You can also right click on your mouse and if the Undo command is not grayed out you can click on it and see if the posting isn't restored.  There is also a key type command for the Undo command that uses the Z key.  I just find it easier to do the first two things I mentioned. Our Aldi's hasn't implemented the home delivery or the on line ordering.  Fortunately our store isn't too large and I can usually get in and out in 10 minutes or so as basically know where most things are located on the shelves.

Marilyne, a two day visit is a nice amount of time.  Glad your weather warmed up for their visit.  If it is in the 40 and 50 degree range I will be wearing my leather coat.  I think one reason I have always enjoyed country music is that there is a good beat and you can understand the words.  However, some of today's artists seem to overdo the background noise or are repeating the same things over and over, which I really don't like.

Mary Ann, I like watching the Property Brothers and the other programs of that type and am shocked that people pay hundreds of thousands of dollar for a home and then have to spend thousands more in renovations.  I like the one where they show the older homes and then the lady has the suggestions on how to remodel and to decorate it and her husband is the workman who does the renovations.  It sounds like you have nice salad selections to choose from.  The ones we get at Aldi's are basically lettuce with carrot grated into them.  We have to add cucumber or whatever else we want including cheese.  Of course they are only $0.79 for the small bag and $1.29 or something similar for a bigger bag.  We like the smaller bags as they will stay fresher if sealed up and we can usually get four small salads from each of the small bags.

Larry, I used to buy a 6-oz salad package of iceberg lettuce, then I would use some of the lettuce and add celery, cheese, radishes, carrots, sometimes peas and dressing.  It made a nice lunch for me.  Many stores do not carry the 6-oz package and I can't finish a 12-oz in a week.  Tom eats salads when we eat out, but doesn't make them at home.  I'll buy the salads then he will suggest going out or he'll make a lunch and my good intentions go out the window.  I bought a quart of skim milk last week and told Tom I was going to eat cereal each day.  I was able to do that twice before he brought me a cranberry muffin and Mc D's coffee.  My capacity is limited.  As for the milk, he got it on Tuesday and the "sell by" date was Wednesday and by Thursday the milk had started to turn.  We are ordering,  then picking up our groceries, so the person who did our shopping didn't pay attention.  We'll change how and where we get skim milk in the future.  Tom won't touch skim milk and I can manage a quart in a week - if I can do it every day!

I'll have to tell you about my culinary effort yesterday.  The night before I had some chicken noodle soup (Progressive) but did not eat all of it.  The can is too much for me, but not enough for two.  Last night I decided to make some mac and cheese (from a box) and for the milk I used the remains of the soup.  It came out pretty good.  Of course, that will last me a few days, too.

Radar shows rain all over the state of Michigan although what we've had has been light.  We are part of a system that begins in the Gulf of Mexico and comes north.  At least it isn't snow.  Our forecast calls for flurries in a few days, but nothing serious.

Now I'll look to see what Lake Michigan looks like. - Lake Michigan looks dreary however, it doesn't seem to be raining there.  Every few days I notice the water temp is increasing.  A few days ago the water was 32 degrees and now it is 38 degrees.  Maybe Spring is coming after all.

I had kind of thought of spending Easter alone because I didn't favor either choices I had - too many people.  Anyway, I talked to Annie yesterday and she told me James and Alicia were only going to have family, including Tom's former wife who is being married early in June, so I'm going to call her and tell her I'll drive down with her.  She wants to leave early, which will suit me fine.

Mary Ann

larryhanna

Hi Everyone.  We had rain during the night and early this morning but it has cleared off now and the morning for me started out at 66 degrees and is suppose to get up to 75 degrees this afternoon.  I don't seem to have any energy this morning.  Fortunately I have nothing scheduled for today.  I just now called to schedule the air conditioning repairman to come out on Monday as our A/C isn't cooling.

Yesterday I went over to pick up my friend for coffee and waiting a few minutes and then called him only to learn that he wasn't going to go to coffee due to another appointment.  I went ahead and had coffee with my friends and then went over to Costco and returned the Rollator. I did not attend the Maundy Thursday service at the Church last evening as just wasn't up to going.  My SIL did receive the computer we sent her but is going to have to call AT&T this morning and have someone help her get it connected to the Internet.  I did tell her of several things and suggested she explore things on the computer.  However, she had a very bad headache so doubt she spent much time doing so.

Mary Ann, we have often purchased the larger bags of cut up salad but often didn't get it used before it began to look bad and had to be thrown out.  We used to always just keep lettuce on hand on make up our own salads but don't do that very often anymore and take the easier way out to have a salad.  Pat has been using almond milk and had some on her cereal this morning.  It lasts a lot longer.  Not watching the sell by dates is a problem with the online ordering.  Did you know you can freeze milk to preserve it?  Pat has done that if we get see we won't be using it before it would go bad.  Interesting use of the left over soup.  I would never have thought of doing that and you probably created a new taste sensation.  Nice that you will go with Annie and get to see those delightful little twins on Easter.

Marilyne

Good Friday morning to everyone. :)  Daughter and granddaughter left yesterday.  It always seems quiet and empty here when they go back home.  Shelley and I spent lots of time going through old photo albums of my mother's, looking for pictures of family members who are now names on some of the Ancestry family trees.  Interesting how those old black and white snapshots have so much more meaning, now that I can "connect the dots".  I found two very grainy pictures of my great grandmother, from 1925, that I hope to scan, and then add to my Ancestry tree.

Speaking of ready-to-eat salad greens:  AJ bought a large 16 ounce container of Organic Spring Mix greens at Costco on Tuesday.  We had a huge salad for the four of us on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with added avocado, beets, tomatoes, etc.  We ate more of the greens last night, and there is still more than half left in that huge container!  I'm going to end up throwing most of it away, which seems like such a waste.  Even though we had two extra people here for a couple of meals, there's no way we could ever eat it all.

Mary Ann - I'm glad that you're going with Annie, to have Easter dinner with James and Alicia.  Much better than staying home alone on a holiday.  Daughter #2 is coming Hereford dinner, as April first, is also her birthday!  We will probably go out to eat somewhere, but where, has yet to be determined?

Mary Ann

Marilyn, it is always hard to find a place to eat out on Easter Sunday, however, going later in the day may not present a problem.  I am buying small deli salads now; they're two for $5 and I try to eat them within a couple of days so they're still fresh.

I have photo albums from both of my folks but both of them put funny sayings under many of them instead of identifying the people.  Fortunately, I have seen pictures of most of my recent ancestors, also cousins and aunts, even friends, but there are a lot of unidentified people in both albums.  I have pictures of most of my ancestors but not of the great-greats.

My grandmother brought a lot of pictures with her when she came to live with us.  One my dad thought was his grandmother but was not sure as she died in Wisconsin when he was about 10 and he lived in Minnesota.  A second cousin came to visit me and I had the picture duplicated for him.  He showed it to his father (Dad's cousin) who said, "where did you get the picture of my grandmother?"  There was also a picture of the house my great-grandfather and three sons built when they came to the US and my cousin's father's reaction was the same.

Tom and I were going to lunch today but he had a request from Holland for a baby-sitter because one of the girls had a fever and couldn't go to the baby-sitter.  I could have gone with Tom, but decided not to and Tom is so happy he can baby-sit his granddaughters!!!

Larry, being able to purchase the deli salads makes it much easier for me.  There is no waste.  We do have salad stuff in the refrigerator because Tom often fixes scrambled eggs and puts baby spinach in it, or he'll fix a mix of vegetables and that will include spinach.  Tom is still on Weight Watchers and has a long way to go, but he's trying.  I think he's lost 40 pounds since I don't know when.

Mary Ann

Marilyne

Mary Ann - My mother was good about identifying everyone shown in a picture, as well as the date it was taken.  However, she was also prone to adding a funny comment on a lot of the photos.  I'm sure those comments had to do with the people shown, and whatever was happening at the time the pic was taken.  Totally meaningless to us now, unless it is something obvious.  There is one of my father, doing a handstand at the beach, that's captioned, "My sweet circus clown!"

I just read my last message here, and I see that one of my sentences makes no sense whatsoever! It says, "Daughter #2 is coming Hereford dinner"! ha ha  I'm sure you figured out that it should have been, is coming here for dinner!  It drives me crazy that this new iMac computer takes it upon itself, to correct my spelling or sentence structure, and adds periods whenever I pause in my typing. That puts a whole different meaning on what I was trying to say, and I have to remember to always proofread my messages.  (I think Hereford is a breed of cattle?) LOL

That's very nice of Tom, to drive to Holland to babysit the twins!  He will enjoy his time alone with them.  Wonderful that he has lost 40 lbs!

FlaJean

Marilyne, Noticing your post about your new MAC.  I always use my iPad to post, but it thinks it knows more than I know.  If I make a mistake in spelling it fills in what it thinks I meant  ☹️ so I also proofread (especially after sending a couple of odd messages by mistake).

Larry, our weather temps here in the Florida Panhandle are often similar to yours in North Augusta.  We had some rain last night but today is sunny and should reach 75F.

Mary Ann

Marilyn,  you're right, I did know what you meant with Hereford and yes, it is a brand of cattle.

While Tom was gone, I gave Kendrick some needed attention as he often is neglected because I have other things to do.  I let him out on the deck and he didn't want to come in a couple of times when I offered.  It's around 50 degrees here today and he wandered over the deck, smelling all of the nooks and crannies.  There's nothing out there yet, but he had fun exploring.  I can't let him stay on the front porch without my watching him because he could disappear, although he has been very good, watching to see if I was there, then indicating that he wanted to come back in.  I tell him he's a good boy!

My lunch today was a deli salad and that will keep me for a while.  I probably ate it about 2 pm and I have an idea Tom will not be back until at least 7 pm, maybe later, so I'll plan on my mac and cheese for supper.  Tom gives me well-balanced meals but a little too much food.  He's trying to judge how much I would want as I know my appetite is not what it used to be.

I'm watching golf from Houston and it looks like a very nice day there.

Mary Ann

Hi Everyone.  It is a sunny and beautiful morning and in the upper 40's and headed up to low 70's this afternoon.  I awoke this morning feeling rested and looking forward to the day.  I plan on attending my meeting later this morning and then will watch at least one of the NCAA Final Four basketball games this evening.  I think I will check in on the golf tournament this afternoon as well. Yesterday was pretty much a lost day.

Marilyne, isn't it interesting how the old black and white photos have held up?  The pictures of our kids when they were little were in color and those have really faded over the years.  Nice that your daughter was interested in going through the old photo albums with you.  We don't buy much produce from Costco other than apples as the quantities are so large and we have trouble using those up before they go bad.  Of course we can share part of what we buy with Scott and Jennifer.  I had no trouble interpreting the Hereford inner.  :) I don't know about the Mac but I think on PC's and tablets you can change a setting to not automatically correct your typing or so ahead an anticipate what you want to say and put it in.

Mary Ann, it has been years and years since we tried to eat out at Easter.  I think the last time was when we lived in Maryland and we went to one of the big hotels and had a fabulous buffet.  When my mother was in the memory care unit of the nursing home on several occasions I took in a photo albums and she could recall who people were.  Family was very important to her and although she couldn't carry on a conversation she could come of with the names of the people.

Jean, it does appear our weather is very much the same day by day.  Do you use a separate blue tooth keyboard for typing on your iPad?

This will show you why I let others in the family make the decisions - Annie is going to pick me up around noon to go to Holland for Easter dinner.  She does not have a car but drives a big truck her SO has.  She works for him so it works out nicely.  The truck is so high that I cannot get into it - really!!!  Tom said Annie could drive his car (I have no idea what he would drive).  I have a key to the car even though I do not drive it, but it is with my house key, garage key and mailbox key and Tom wanted my set for Annie.  I realized I would not be able to get in the house following church and before Annie would get there.  I soon remembered the spare keys are hanging in the kitchen, so put them in my purse.  Tonight Tom came home and said he was going to drive his car and Annie would drive the truck and we'll take a little stool along so I can get into the truck.  I reminded Tom that without my keys I wouldn't be able to get in the house (I hadn't told him yet of the other keys) and he said he'd give them back in the morning.  Such is life with our family!  (This is not an unusual occurrence.)

Time for bed.

Hi Everyone and Happy Easter to all.  We are going to have a beautiful day here with it getting up to 81 this afternoon.  I am going to Sunday School this morning but will not stay for the Church service as the family is gathering at noon for our Easter dinner.  We need to eat around noon as Scott has to be at work at 2 pm. They are cooking the turkey at their house and will bring it out carved and Jennifer was making a chocolate pie.  The green bean and corn casseroles will be fixed here when they get here.  That with rolls will be our dinner.  There should be 5 of us here for the meal.

I did watch the golf yesterday afternoon and then watched both of the basketball games.  While the second game was not very competitive with Villanova trouncing Kansas it was worth watching for the fantastic three-point shooting that Villanova displayed.

Mary Ann, sometimes family arrangements can be frustrating.  However, I am sure you worked out the key situation.
