Oh, MaryPage, I probably will as I admitted to Sarah and I getting along comfortably as two peas in a pod or two old women sharing a space with Sarah having the upper hand. I still tear up when I think of her and if knowing sooner could have saved her.

Farrah has twice now on her way from the bedroom, stopped behind my chair to wait for a quick rub down from behind her head to her tail. We are beginning to establish new routines, first breakfast, maybe some feather play and now expecting a rub down when passing the computer chair.

One thing she did this morning, I had never seen a cat do. She heard folks passing in the hallway and stalked the outside door. She then proceeded to lower her head and thoroughly sniff under the door opening from right to left and then from bottom, reaching up along the left side where the door would open, curious.

Unfortunately, she is back under the bed again, two step forward, one step back.

JeanneP

I wonder why cats and dogs always go to hide under beds.  I had a dog that did that all the time.  If one bedroom door closed it would find on open or push it open.

Angel. I had a friend who she and husband did their house that way. Did a nice basement but underground. Had 3 sons born and raised for years in it. 2 boys had eyes pretty much closer than the other on. Use to kid them that it was from being raised under ground. Not true as I have eyes like that.  Took about 10 years to get the house finished. Really nice. boys gone. Husband passed but she still lives there. Believe one son lives still in the basement.  No mortgage  but paid as one built.

Patricia, I'm glad you mentioned cats tails.  Kendrick moves his around and I knew it was not as a greeting such as from dogs.  I'll do some reading about those tails when I get time.

I'm glad Farrah is moving around your place more.

Hi everyone on this Friday morning.  Today is the day I have looked forward to for several weeks.  I will be leaving about 9:45 this morning to drive 90 minutes to Madison, Georgia to have lunch with one of the men's luncheon groups I helped found more than 7 years ago.  We have met in Madison a couple of times before and it is always most enjoyable.  I am going to have to get the air conditioning fixed in my PT Cruiser.  I had Freon added a few weeks ago and it again isn't cooling so know there is a leak.  It was very warm yesterday and I knew I can't put this off.  I only use the car two or three times a week but want it to be cool.

Kelly

Good day to you Larry

MarsGal

Good morning all.

Have a wonderful lunch today, Larry.

This morning is damp and drizzly again after having a relatively rain free day yesterday with a little sunshine at times.

wjoan

Mornin all.  Another very warm day today.  The Farmer came by yesterday and brought a pizza with him.  Never refuse pizza.  We had a nice afternoon catching up on what has been happening in our lives.  He is getting ready
to retire soon and has been training some men to replace him.  His nephews will be taking over the farms.  They have quite a few on the East side of WA State.  New technology and equipment is being bought.  Quite the big deal  right how.  He has already bought his retirement home and it is here in the Tri Cities.  Imagine that.   :)

Today I am just taking it easy.  Son will be here this morning to visit and get my grocery list for the week.  Tis smaller this week as I do not need mujch.

Have a good day all and HUGS all around,

Kelly

Hi wjoan
You have an enjoyable weekend

:) Good Morning Everyone from a bright, sunny, warm Interior! It's going to be another bright and beautiful day and here I sit all stiff and bent over, having just had a cup of strong coffee and some 800 mils. strong arthritis Tylenol. Getting old is definitely not for me, I want a replacement!

Farrah stayed out the majority of yesterday and when she heard or saw me finally moving this morning, she actually jumped on my bed and lay at my feet. And when a slammed door echoed from out in the hallway, she ran from breakfast, stopped just outside the bedroom door and then returned to breakfast. Now if I could just interest her in playing with some of the myriads of toys available. Right now she is lying on her back, tummy exposed but still alert and eyes on me, as she is laying behind my chair.

I was overtired yesterday and Wednesday from getting paperwork and phone calls made. I then stayed up until after two am reading while I was moving a large computer folder from mine to a cloud repository so have no excuse for today's woes! So can I blame this morning on Friday the thirteenth instead of me? Darn! I didn't think anyone would fall for that!  :-[

Joan, imagine that.... 8)

Everyone have a bright and beautiful day with all the rain and sunshine wished for!

MaryPage

Oh Patricia, don't be shy about blaming ANYthing for any disagreeableness.  I do!  Friday the 13th is the candidate of the day!

Good evening.

Been a busy day here!

Hi everyone on another beautiful, sunny but a bit cooler morning.  We should get to about 87 degrees this afternoon.  I had a wonderful day yesterday.  The trip to and fro from Madison went without any problems other than a lot of traffic on Interstate 20.  There was roadwork going towards Madison but didn't really slow me down.  However, coming back there must have a a two or three mile backup of traffic headed towards Atlanta.  Fortunately, I was headed back home so could just observe it as we sped along in the other lanes.  Five of the six guys that attend the weekly luncheon came to have lunch with me yesterday and we had a delightful time.  There is always a lot of laughs since we all know each other pretty well and have a common interest.  For one thing we are all seniors so if the conversation lulls someone will mention a health issue and away we go.  :)  When I got home I had a great afternoon nap and felt very refreshed when I awoke.  I also had a good nights sleep.

Today's schedule isn't heavy.  I may make a trip to Aldi's as have another $10 off coupon with a $40 order and we are going to just stock up on some things as that is a nice discount.  Of course, I will attend to my watering chores and will probably a bit of reading today.  I may watch some of the golf tourney this afternoon as it is the Player's Championship and they have the best players competing.  I also need to check on getting my AC fixed in my car as I mentioned yesterday.  Fortunately I can take it and leave it for a day or two if needed.

Kelly, as I indicated above we men had a good time as we always do and started planning for the next time we can get together.  It was the highlight of this week.

MarsGal, while rain is welcome it sure it great to see the sun.  Hope you have more sun today.

Joan, how nice that your Farmer friend will be moving to your area.  I am sure farming is nothing like it used to be.  Hope you got your pantry stocked yesterday.

Hal, that was a very touching story as the dog protected the child from harm.

Patricia, was sorry to read of your arthritic pain and hope today finds you feeling better.  It sounds like Farrah is adjusting to her new environment pretty well and is probably planning her strategy to take over command of the house as cats tend to do.  She is going to be a lot of enjoyment to you.  I checked my computer files yesterday to see that I had everything I  wanted to keep backed up to cloud.  I didn't even think about yesterday being Friday the 13th as am not superstitious.

Sandy

Good  Morning Everyone ...

Larry, my son is really good about keeping me reeally stocked with stuff I need and I also get a little treat too.  He know my likes gets me one little thing each week he knows I will like.  A very good son indeed.  :)

Today is a nothing day, but will go thru the book and order some books.  Got books but had to send the reader back as it was not working.  I did purchase one tho with the help of my Farmer friend.  They are $400 dollars.  That way I will have one when the borrowed one from the Library goes out.

Have a great day all and HUGS all around,

MaryPage

Glad you were able to do that, Joan.

Happy you are having a good day, Sandy Dapph.

Sounds as though you had an extremely good get together with your buddies, Larry.

Hey there, Kelly.

Annapolis has to be, HAS to be, the most fun town in the U.S. of A.  Among many other events, they had Tango Dancing down at City Dock last night from seven until ten.  Professional dancers, all free to the public, everyone could join in.  In the old days, I would have been Right There!  Too old and stiff these days!  But that kind of stuff goes on all the time.

Tomorrow from noon until four they have closed the deep channel.  No cargo ships, no cruise liners, no tall ships or anything will be able to be in that channel going up to or coming down from Baltimore while they hold a regatta for KAYAKS, of all things!  I look forward to watching it from my back deck, armed with my best pair of binoculars!

MarsGal

When I started eating lunch a little while ago it was sunny. By the time I got done with my tea, it was windy and pouring rain. Still raining, but the wind died down.

Angelface, I take it you have spinal arthritis too. This last month has been worse than usual. It is making it hard for me to do much yardwork. I have put off vacuuming for the week too. I think every year I get aches in new places. Thank goodness it hasn't hit my hands yet so I can still type and knit/crochet without problems.

Good Morning from another sunny Interior! We reached 80 degrees this past evening at seven pm and a slight wind had the tree leaves rustling.

I've had trouble sleeping as well. For me, the trick is to try to not awaken fully if I am to return to sleep.

Larry, it sounds as if you had a good day yesterday and all week as well.

MaryPage, I would love to see the kayaks with you and your binoculars. Perhaps I'll check out a few cams later. We don't have as such organization as Annapolis, but we have various types of musicians and bands that play along the various parkways and gazebos set up through the river walkways, parks, and town.

Alaskaland opens on Memorial day and it is a large park with an old town with historical buildings, old time saloons, Italian carousels, older airplanes in a museum, gold rush museum,  three separate dioramas, miniature railroads and many summer activities with staff all dressed in eighteen nineties garb. There is an old ore train from the gold rush era that was refitted/ restored by my father in the sixties for the city and it  now circles Alaskaland's hills, valleys and old buildings.

Farrah is more skittish this morning but staying in the living room. She was perturbed at no canned food this morning only dry food  and kept trying to herd me back to the kitchen. She has never meowed, but I'm realizing that she is communicating via clicks and whines along with some other vocals. I know feral cats only meow to their young and perhaps she has never learned?

Sky is dark and we might just get a few drops of moisture with the systems passing over today, tonight and tomorrow.  We will see.  Temps expected in low 70's

Our gorgeous, warm, sunshiny day has turned into a dark, misty, I can't see the Bay Bridges or the Eastern Shore pouring down rain day.  You know, it is all very well to say, with enormous stores of patience, that we really needed the rain.  That is the thing, you see:  we needed the rain.  We no longer need it.  And we sure no longer want it.

Sigh!

On top of all of that, I am down because Becky & Emily are over at BWI preparing to board their plane back to Kansas City.  After having them for a week and a day, I'm going to miss them just one awful lot.

Mary Ann

MaryPage, you have my sympathy with your family leaving.  I know the feeling, however, my family would leave only to go 180 miles.  But when they left, it was like my place died!

Tom and I went to Subway for lunch today.  Tom has now left to meet a friend in Grand Haven for supper.  No wonder he can't lose weight.  He can if he watches what he eats and I think he tries.

We've had a raw, damp day today.  Our temp is 48.

I'm watching the Players Golf Tournament in Florida.  Yesterday it rained, but today is dry.  It seems to affect the course and it is quite windy too.  Many bogeys.

I meant to mention the colorful clothing golfers of today wear.  I remember when Norm and his first wife gave my dad a pink shirt, unheard of at that time.  But Dad wore it.  It also had cuff links, something I believe my dad had never had.  How times have changed.

I'm not a sports person at all unless I'm participating and those days are long past!

I have just finished some time spent at the Duluth shipping cam. There was a wedding party posing for photos and a couple of graduates still in either blue, (I believe); or purple gowns.

Sarah enjoyed watching the various cams and animal videos set at full screen, but Farrah had no interest, not even in the vocal seagulls. She needs more time I suppose, I just haven't found her interests. No meowing, no balcony observing and absolutely no people visiting!

We are back to 80 degrees again, but rain is expected on Sunday, the twenty-second.

Kelly

Hi Larry
