Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Thank you, everyone...dare I tell you I dyed it medium brown with highlights yesterday?

We have black clouds and a bit of wind outside and I think we are all hoping for some rain! The tree buds are just now yesterday eve and today unfurling and they could use some more wetness.

A nice soft, soaking in rain is falling and the skies are misting grey...thank you mother nature!

Kelly, I got Jane Russell and Raquel mixed up.  Hughes designed a bra for Jane.

You mean that
beautiful red hair is gone?

:) A little dab will do ya and I'll have it all back again, Sandy....

My own red hair has grey and white streaks in it so I've indulged in a little" coverup."

Hi everyone.  It is a warm but overcast day with a chance of some thunderstorms this afternoon but the forecast is less threatening than it was yesterday.  I did go to COSTCO yesterday morning while Pat went to her crafts meeting at the church.  We did go to the dinner at Church last evening and Scott came out to the house for a couple of hours.  Today is my day to go to coffee after picking up my friend and then will attend the Wisdom group.  That will likely be it for today.

ShirleyN, good to see your posting and to know you are back online.  Sure sorry to read that Danny had the stroke while on your bus trip and do hope he recovers well.

Mary Ann, it sounds like you had a nice interment for Norm and nice that you honored his memory by all dining together at a favorite place for him.

Patricia, I echo your comments about our many lost friends here on this discussions.  I noticed last evening how rich the green was of our many fully leafed trees along the road.

Kelly, you were certainly in good humor yesterday.  Hope your dictation program is now behaving itself.

Mary Ann

Thanks for the nice remarks about Norm's burial service.  We all felt good about it when we talked about it afterward.

It is raining here now.  Tom came in at midnight and told me our furnace was making strange noises so he turned it off.  We will have someone come to fix it around noon.  I think it is the first furnace problem I've had since I have been in charge of my furnaces.  This furnace is only six years old.

Hi Larry
The voice recognition software seems to be working all right now.

I think a bit of humour is good now and again.

MaryAnn.  Hope you have more luck with you furnace man.  I am beginning to get a little put out on my Plummer at the moment.  Ready to call the office.

***Well I got the plumber here for the pipes and other things thought would get done. Big company.  He came at 11 am. About 11:45 left to get a piece of short pipe at the shop. Now 1:45 and not come back.  All his tools are here and lots of things taken apart.. Here i am waiting to leave and most of the day gone.  I figured to go ahead. Get to most experience. Guess no better than the everyday handyman.

Beautiful.  Even the leaves are decorative.

I like petunias too for pots: very showy colors.

Mary Ann

JeanneP, I responded to your question in Photos.

MaryPage, what a beautiful geranium.  Norm and Dot gave me a similar color a couple of years ago and I have wintered it since.  I'm waiting for the weather to warm up so I can put it outside.  One of my wintered geraniums has a bud on it, but I am not sure which.  The other one is red.

Mary Ann

Kelly

Hi Mary Page
Lovely Gerainium

Bubble, I like petunias too, but you have to deadhead them.  My dad liked a pink petunia, I think called cameo.

Several weeks ago,  I think it had been discussed in here, about the HBO show with Anderson Cooper and his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt..........   It will be shown on CNN on Friday night from 9 p.m. till 11:15 p.m.

So, any of you that wanted to see it but didn't get HBO, hopefully, you can get CNN and will get to see.

It is called  "Nothing Left Unsaid".   They have been advertising it.  I had to write myself a note to remind me.

I am anxious to see it.

I am the one who raved about Nothing Left Unsaid, and since I saw that show I have purchased and read their book on the same subject: The Rainbow Comes and Goes.

They are a devoted mother and son, and both the documentary and the book are superb.

Since Sunday, Sarah had been going downhill, not eating and lethargic but drinking a small bit and eliminating that small bit. Today I took her to the vet and her signs were poor. They did fluid and blood work, Xrays and ultrasounds. Her abdomen was full of blood and white blood cells so they did exploratory surgery.

Her liver had a tear in it and had blood and fluid leaking out. They have no idea what happened, nor do I. They took a small bit of the liver by the gall bladder and sewed up the tear but she simply wasn't coming out of the anesthesia and her signs were poor so we decided to let her go.

I already miss her so much.

so_P_bubble

Oh Angel, I am so sorry. Sarah was such a companion for you.  But you did right, no point in having her suffering.  These pets are so dear to us, it is almost like loosing a limb when they are gone.
I still miss my dog so much and it has been many years...  I was contemplating  having another one, but then I know it will be a load on those around me as I cannot take it for walks. :(

Now, create a PSP with a picture of Sarah, as a remembrance tribute.

I am so sorry, Patricia. These little creatures fill our hearts with their unconditional love, they leave such a hole when they go.

Be comforted that you did all you could for her.

Patricia,  I, too,  am sorry to read about your little Sarah.   I know you will miss her, but I know you wouldn't have wanted her to suffer, either.  My thoughts are with you are you go through this sad time.

I'm so sorry that you had to let your precious Sarah go; it's always a difficult decision. You have my sympathy and condolences for the loss of your much loved pet.

Kelly

Hi angel
Sorry to hear you lost Sarah.

Never an easy time when we lose a precious pet and friend.

Hi everyone.  It is going to be another nice day.  We had no rain yesterday so glad I watered the yard.  In a little while we will leave so Pat can get to a 9:45 doctor's appointment.  It is a followup related to some blood tests ordered at her last visit.  After that the schedule is clear for today.

Patricia, so sorry to read of the loss of Sarah as know she met the world to you.

MaryPage

Patricia, my heart is heavy for you this morning.  So very sad.

Still raining here.  Depressingly dusky out there.  Quite cool, too.  Oh well.  Plenty to do.

My oldest daughter of the five is featured on an art site.  She just sent me the address, because I don't "do" Facebook.  I love the "Breakfast Reflections."  Breakfast is my favorite meal, by far.

Mary Ann

Patricia, I am so sorry to hear about Sarah.  I think you did the right thing, but I am sure it was a hard thing to do.

Joy, thank you about the information about the Cooper/Vanderbilt story.  I have made a note to watch it and I have nothing else at that time tonight.

Mary Ann

MaryPage, a nice article about Elizabeth.

Patricia, so sorry to hear about Sarah.  I lost my little mini poodle, Lady  Janell, many years ago and I still miss her.
