Larry, I had to laugh at the last of your post “if anyone wants to listen to what is said around me, they need to get a life”.  The same statement goes for me. :) I never write anything in my emails or messages that I wouldn’t also say publicly.

It is overcast today.  Sure glad we don’t have to worry about all that snow and ice I’ve been seeing on TV.

angelface555

Larry, I suppose they hope to pick up clues as to your banking habits or accounts or anything else they can infiltrate. It still amazes me that scammers were able to bring an entire hotel down by infiltrating their systems through an Alexia managed large aquarium set up in their lobby. The different hotels, police, fire departments, and hospitals that pay thousands to get their records back is amazing.

I feel sorry for Farrah not having another cat to play with when I'm not able to dash about with her. She will come up, stretch onto her hind feet by the desk, put her paws on the computer, look at me and meow.

So, I read a little about behavior, instincts and proper care. Many articles are discussing the idea of making a cat work for her food rather than just leaving it out which in some cats may cause overeating out of boredom or from being abused or feral. Evidently, overeating due to some trauma is not a human only mechanism. It also works to sharpen a cat's prey instinct by making her work for her food as she would do in the wild.

The articles suggest using treats, but I merely add her dry food, so she works at it off and on all day.  Alan and Dora were here yesterday, and it makes Alan laugh to see me add her food to a box rather than a bowl.

Marilyne, I know exactly what you mean as sometimes I swear my hand just opens of its own accord!

Marilyn, unless your weather would be snowy, don't let weather keep you from traveling.  We are driving (we?  Tom!) to Holland (40 miles) tomorrow to help James and Alicia celebrate her birthday.  Tom bought a gift from both of us that we will take and we're stopping for pizzas on the way so Alicia doesn't have to fix her own birthday meal.  Her birthday was Wednesday.  The girls ought to enjoy our getting together.

I just finished watching the golf match which will conclude tomorrow.  Tiger Woods has done really well in his comeback.  I hope he doesn't reinjure his surgeries.  He is not, nor ever was, my favorite player, but I do admire his playing.

Marilyn, I do have arthritis in my hands, but they are not painful.  I have a couple of fingers that zig where they should zag but on the whole they don't look bad.  And nothing hurts like my shoulder.  I forgot trying to pick up a toothpick or pin - forget it!

Patricia, the food thing for Farrah looks interesting and I'll have to look into it for Kendrick.  I do not think Kendrick's food arrangement is enticing him to overeat.  He is a big cat to begin with, but I don't think he's overly heavy.  I wish Kendrick had another cat to play with but I'm not going to get a second cat.  I do try to go where he is to keep him company and I pet him often.  He does like to have his fur ruffled so I make sure I do that for him.

Larry. Now I thought I read in the paper the other day that Costco where taking out that dept. where could get your Printer Ink refilled.  We had a few places around here . A couple private and then Walgreens did mine a few times. All have gone now. I suppose it is because you can buy them "Refurnished" on the Internet.  So much is changing now. We have 4 Walmarts here close and yet lots that use to be on the shelf are only available on Line. I heard from someone who works there that Walmarts are building warehouses  in lot of areas and going into you order on line and then go and pick the item up or I suppose can have it delivered to you within 2 days.  They again. Trying to compete with Amazon. (Never happen). So I look for that to happen to one of ours. I will stick with Amazon.

I bought a Chicken yesterday at our Meijers Store. Had for $3.99.Usually $5.99. Was pretty good. But the best here are "Sams Club"They are larger.  I can get 4 meals out of a chicken.

MaryAnn.  Now have you seen those shoulder braces that the Medical places have. Don't know if you have Medicare but a proscription from your doctor taken to them makes them Free. Give it a try. They don't look to bulky. Mine doesn't bother me often but if it starts Iwill try one.
JeanneP

Mary Ann

Jeanne, thanks for the information, I'll look into it.  I wonder if they allow the user to use the arm because I do have to use two hands occasionally.  A lefty I am not.

Mary Ann

JeanneP

MaryAnn.  Now you wear them when having pain or doing type of work using shoulder. Not something you keep on.  I had a back brace made few years ago. Not used it in awhile but would put it on when like Mowing yard or things where could hurt the muscles in back. Also have one that can wear in order to pull shoulders back from Slouching. This I should wear more as getting a little round shouldered. Got prescriptions to have them made. Much better than the ones you see advertised in Magazines.
Not a thing worth watching on TV tonight.
JeanneP

Mary Ann

Jeanne, there is some degree of pain at all times, so I feel I would have to wear it all of the time.  I did look them  up to get an idea of what they looked like.  I would ask my doctor first what he thought of them.  i'm not going to do anything at present.

Hi Everyone. The morning is started at in the mid-40's and will only get into the low 60's this afternoon and we have varying changes of rain until late this evening when as of now they are saying 100% chance of rain.  I did remember to reset the alarm clock last evening when I went to bed and then the clock on the stove and my wrist watch this morning.  I am ready for Sunday School and Church and think Pat will go with me today as she is up and eating her breakfast now. We will go out to eat afterward, probably back to Ruby Tuesday's as they had a good deal starting today and Monday.  Last evening we decided to go to Dairy Queen for our evening meal and it was good topped off with a mint Oreo Blizzard.  Then I was able to return the phone we had purchased there for Pat that didn't work well at all.  The Dairy Queen is on the outer property from the Walmart so it was very handy.  This afternoon I will rest and watch a little more basketball, which I watched quite a bit of yesterday.

Marilyne, sure hope you will be able to make the drive on Tuesday as you are planning.  Do you have to drive through a lot of towns or is the destination basically Interstate driving?  I looked it up and "Come Rain or Come Shine" is a  song written by Harold Arlen, who composed the music, and Johnny Mercer, who wrote the lyrics. The song was written for the musical St. Louis Woman, and was published in 1946. (It is really amazing how quickly a person can look up information on the Internet.) We have had quite a few of the Costco roasted chickens and they always seem to be very good and tender.  From something I read Costco has never raised the price they charge for them and obviously it has to be a loss leader that helps get people into the store.  Pat also likes the chicken salad that is made from the rotisserie chicken.  We have about 6 of those grabbers located in handy spots throughout the house.  I used one this morning to pick up something from the bathroom floor that had fallen off the counter and much easier than bending over.

Jean, I expect I write too much in my postings and emails but I have always been a very open and trusting person.  My wife and I make a good team as she is sort of the opposite.

Patricia, I am careful about not posting where I bank or any information that someone could use.  I can't imagine making money from stealing it from others as the scammers and thieves do. Thanks for sharing the picture of the box as I really didn't have a good concept as to what it would look like.  I see that Farrah was keeping a close eye on it as you took the picture.

Mary Ann, sure hope the trip to Holland today is a lot of fun as you get to be around those twins again an to celebrate Alicia's birthday.  Nice she isn't going to have to cook her own birthday meal as expect she has few idle moments caring for the twins.  With Tiger Woods only being one shot out of the lead I would say he has a good chance to win the golf tournament today.  Each week he has honed his skills and now is certainly a contender.  I was sorry to see that Spieth didn't make the cut this week.  I plan on watching the finish of the match this afternoon.

JeanneP, I purchased some remanufactured cartridges but the HP printer I have won't accept them as they want only the HP cartridge that has a special chip. I will have to look around to see if Cartridge World or another place can refill the actual HP cartridges as Costco could do. I know we are doing more and more online shopping as neither Pat nor I have the energy to walk the isles in the big stores. We used to buy the baked chickens from Kroger and they were more expensive and smaller than what we get today at Costco.  We get at least three meals from the chicken and that makes pretty inexpensive eating these days.  When I walk out on my front porch my new Ring doorbell takes a video of me and I was shocked to see how round shouldered and bent over I have become.  I don't feel that way.  Here is the link to the Voca phone that we got from Amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078NHX2MB/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1   Here is the description in case that link is tied to my account and won't open for you:  VOCA V530 Unlocked 3G Flip Cell Phone, Predictive Text, Dual Screen with Big Button and Large Font, Multi languages, SOS Button, Hearing Aid Compatible, Easy to Use Senior Citizen-Friendly, Red .  Pat really likes the phone and it certainly is senior citizen friendly.

Joy

Good morning, Larry and all the friends who will follow.

Larry, I did add the phone you posted the link to on my Wish List.  I need a new phone,  Right now I have the Jitterbug one, which is not holding a charge too long anymore.  I don't use it very often, as when I go out, I am mostly with someone who has a cell phone, so don't really have to use mine.  This is the one you got now, right?  You mentioned about taking a phone back to Walmart that Pat didn't like.  Do I have that right???  I was sorry to see that there were no reviews for it as yet.  When I buy some things from Amazon, I like to look at the reviews first.  I do that when I am deciding whether to get a book or not.  Depends a lot on the reviews.  Back to the cell phone...... My daughter-in-law pays for my phone, so I don't know how much it costs.  She just tells me to use it and not to worry about how much it cost.  I do not want to get rid of my landline.  And, it does cost a lot with Verizon.  I do have a friend who lives local, but she has kept her same number that she had when she lived in FLorida.  If I call from my home phone, it is long-distance for me.  So, there are times that I do use my cell  phone to call her,.  And, I do use it once in a while if I am out and waiting for someone to come pick me up, especially if I am at the doctor's office.  This doesn't happen very often, as someone usually takes me to the doctors.  But, at times they will leave me to go do an errand and I need to let them know that I am finished with my appointment.  Sorry to go on, but I might be interested in that phone.  Will appreciate any feedback you can give me.

It is a pretty sunny morning, but still only in the 30's.  Snow/rain mix is expected later this evening, but it might change it's course and follow a more southern route.  I am so tired of this cold and snowy winter.

Larry, like you,  I tend to be a very trusting person.  I don't know if that is good or bad.  I try to think about what I am writing, tho.

I was up about 5:30 as I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.  Not sure  whether that had anything to do with the time change.  But, it will be nice to have the longer evenings now.  I , for one, do like the time change.  But,  I do think it would be nice to have it year round.

I have to decide what I am going to do today.  I have been working on those quilted ornaments and have a couple of them that I want to try to make.  And, I am sure a nap will be happening  at some point today.  Was up too early.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning from the Interior! Not much new here as the weather forecast has been extended through the twentieth of this month. Farrah is playing with her smartKat, chasing that mouse around and around. I do put it up for awhile and then bring it back out again.

The food box works because while it has the outside holes, you can change the configuration around on the inside when the cat becomes comfortable with it, so it stays challenging.

Irene and Alan and Dora will be over later to go shopping and then to lunch with me. I learned the other day that the poor dog they found was adopted by their vet after the folks who tried to adopted couldn't because of allergies. This youngster is so different than a cat, all loose-limbed and so eager to please. He loves everyone, animal or human.

For everyone with pets!

"Pet Foods Recalled, Contaminated With a Drug Used for Euthanasia"

"While pentobarbital is one of many chemical sedatives used by veterinarians to euthanize animals, the FDA's investigation concluded that trace amounts of the drug wouldn't necessarily cause immediate harm to pets. That's not the case when the drug's quantity is increased, however.

"Pets that eat pet food containing pentobarbital can experience drowsiness, dizziness, excitement, loss of balance, nausea, nystagmus (eyes moving back and forth in a jerky manner) and inability to stand. Consuming high levels of pentobarbital can cause coma and death," the FDA's report said."

"After an investigation by an ABC affiliate in Washington DC uncovered trace amounts of pentobarbital (a drug used as a sedative when euthanizing animals) in four different national pet food brands, the Food and Drug Administration launched an inquiry. Shortly after, the pet food brands' parent company, Smuckers, announced a voluntary recall for all of the foods in question.

The recall includes dog foods and treats that you probably recognize: Gravy Train, Kibbles 'N Bits, Skippy, and Ol' Roy brands. The products affected by pentobarbital were distributed nationwide by Big Heart Pet Brands, available to all independently owned pet stores as well as a few big-box retailers. The Ol' Roy dog food, however, was exclusively sold by Walmart in more than 4,700 of its stores, according to the FDA's recall notice."

Larry. O.K that phone did come up when clicking on your above post. Must be another company by that name selling electronics.
Now I have had a "Consumer Cell" flip up for a long time. Don't use it a lot. Never can understand all the clik number this and then number that to just do simple things. this drives me crazy
Mine is Red also.  I just don't us Texting as have hard time putting the typing in. Takes to long.  Price doesn't show on yours but I would say its no Contract. I just put 200 min on my consumer but seldom  use them all. thing is no Roll over. Don't use you lose them. Need a phone where can carry over. It cost me around $20 a month. My ATT home line has gotten so high. $34 and no long distance. If call over 10 miles they charge extra for long distance.

I woke up at about my usual time for a bathroom visit and it was still so dark. It was already saying 5:30 am. time change. Usually says 4am. Seemed to not get full light until 7:30am. this will be hard if still cold in the Morning for the children that wait on the corner for the 7am school bus because it will still be dark

Marilyne

Mary Ann - I’m sure you’re having a nice time today at Alicia's birthday party.  I’ll be looking forward to seeing some photos soon?

Joy - We still have our landline, with the original phone number that we’ve had for about 45 years. It’s the number that all friends and family have for us, and I would never want to give it up.  It’s now part of the Comcast bundle, the includes TV, Internet and landline.  We each have a cell phone, but only use them for calling each other, or in case of emergency.

Patricia - Interesting article on the pet food.  As you know, I don’t have any pets, but I will pass the information along to people I know who have dogs or cats.

Larry - I saw your message in Soda Shoppe, about Pat still using the curling iron or rollers on her hair?  I can relate!  It’s becoming increasingly difficult to manipulate that hot iron, or rolling my hair on the rollers - but I will continue to do it as long as I can!  It’s one of those tasks that I feel good about doing.  I think women get used to seeing their hair in a certain style, and want to keep it that way as long as possible.

JeanneP - I’m leaving you a message in Library, about the Chamberlain books.

Mary Ann

Patricia, I do not buy any of those cat food brands, fortunately.

Marilyn, we had a nice get-together with James, Alicia and the girls.  I took two pictures of the girls and that was it.  It really was not a party but we went to a restaurant in Zeeland (between Holland and Grand Rapids) and the girls were their usual smiling selves.  We never heard a peep out of either of them.  Jo has two teeth and Ellie is working on getting some  Both stand and can walk a few steps with help.  Jo was playing peek-a-boo with me.  Tom had bought a beach cover for the girls for Alicia's birthday - from both of us.  Tom, James and Alicia had pizza and I had a turkey sub, or half of it so brought the other half home for another time.

I did not go to church this morning, just didn't feel like it, but Dot came by afterward and we went out to brunch where we had coconut cream pie and tuna melt - we split both.

I think we got up to 40 degrees today and the sun shone nicely, but the 40 degrees was cold.

I missed the end of the golf match and I see Tiger Woods finished second.

Mary Ann

Joy

Marilyne, I will have to check with Comcast, as I have my TV and Internet with them, but they have told me in the past, that it would be cheaper if I had my phone with them also.  But, then they tell me that I would have to change my phone number,   And, I won't do that as I have had the same number for about the same length of time as you have.  So, I will check with them again.  That would really save me some money.  I have Verizon and it is expensive.  I have to pay to have a number outside of my area.  Most of my friends and family live in or close to the Baltimore Area, so I pay an extra $15 a month so that I don't have to call them long-distance.

Hi Everyone. I slept in this morning until almost 8 am.  It is a dark, cool and rainy morning with a 50% chance of more rain throughout the day.  I plan to just stay inside and have a restful day.  When I finish my normal readings and writing on the discussions I think it may be a good day to recheck and perhaps finish up my income taxes for last year.  Pat didn't go to Sunday School with me but I came home and got her and she went back to Church with me.  We then did go to Ruby Tuesday's again and had a nice lunch utilizing the coupon for the free hamburger which made a very reasonable lunch tab for two as it saved $10.

When we got home I laid down for a couple of hours but turned on the TV and watched the basketball games, which all seemed to be very close and very entertaining.  After those were over I turned on the golf and watched the conclusion of a good tournament.  Then I watched on Netflix a Barbra Streisand concert called Encore that she gave in Miami in 2016, which I really enjoyed.  I think that was the last touring concert she plans to ever do and she was 75 at the time. It was almost two hours long and while her voice isn't quite as good as it was 50 years ago it still is amazing and I really enjoyed it. Needless to say I didn't have any difficulty sleeping last night.

Joy, Pat's new phone is the one I have been discussing.  She is still learning how to use some of the features but she really likes it.  She noticed it hadn't changed the time automatically and couldn't find any setting to do that.  So I told her to completely power it off and turn it back on, which she hadn't done since she started using it, and that automatically fixed it to show the correct time. We had gotten her one of the Go Phones a few days ago that are about the lowest cost you can find anymore and it didn't work well and wasn't reliable. That is the one I returned a couple of evenings ago.  From what I saw it looked like this model may be sold more in England and in the USA.  However, it works perfectly with the AT&T phone plan we have.  I was also sorry I couldn't find any reviews but took a chance as can always return things to Amazon and think this is a winner.  It has been a number of years now since we have had a land line. Anymore you can keep your same telephone number even between carriers.  I do doubt that the SIM card in the Jitterbug phone would work with the VOCA phone and it doesn't come with a SIM card like you get with the phones from phone companies or Walmart phones.  I think Jitterbug has a propriety type SIM and know you have to have an account with them and pay a monthly fee.

Patricia, it sounds like that dog you describe would made a great pet for someone.  I hope you enjoyed your shopping and lunch yesterday.  I is beyond me why any company would use the euthanasia drug in dog food.  Those are some well-known brands involved.

JeanneP, the keys on the VOCA phone are relatively large and easy to read on and makes texting much easier.  It has a very nice readout on the front as well.  It apparently doesn't work with all cellphone company SIM cards and plans. Pat had a red phone a few years ago and was so happy that is one is also red.  As I indicated to Joy I don't know whether it would work with the SIM card from the Consumer Cell phone or not.  However, it is an unlocked phone so not limited to a particular company.  I paid a base price of $69.95 for the VOCA phone from Amazon.  Year ago we had pay as you go cell phones from T-Mobile as I recall the minutes did carry over as long as you added new minutes before the end of the period for which the current minute purchase was over.  I was looking at the Boost cellphone service as they have a special of $25 per line and they use the Sprint network.  However, I think my son and granddaughter probably just got new two year contracts with AT&T and we are on their plan so will probably have to keep what we have.

Marilyne, were you to decide to use cellphones and eliminate your home phone you can still keep that number on one of your phones.  However it sounds like you are happy with your arrangement.  Pat doesn't use a curling iron but just rolls her hair in curlers and then lets they dry or sits under a hair dryer, which she doesn't enjoy as it makes her very hot.

Mary Ann, it sounds like a very nice time at the get together and having the pizza served had and fresh is always better and there is no mess to clean up from eating in the restaurant.  The little girls sound like jewels.  Tiger Woods had the opportunity on the last few holes but didn't get the ball close enough to the hole to make the birdies he needed.  However, he did make a very long 40 foot putt on one of the last holes.  He certainly is regaining his skill level quickly.

Good morning all.  Our days are getting warmer so that is nice.

Candy received a bed as a gift from a gal here.  She got herself a hospital bed and needed to get rid of hers.    Candy is pretty much settled into her new apt now and loves it.   She has TV  which I do not have installed here.  I figured it was a waste of money since I cannot see the screen anyway.  Can get my news on the Internet.

Other than that all is well here.

Forgot to mention my friend the Farmer was over here last week and his retirement home here in Richland is almost ready to move into.  Won't be long now.

Hi Everyone.  It was 32 degrees when I got up and suppose to go on down to 30 around 8 am and then up to about 60 this afternoon.  However, we do expect wind with the clear skies.  We will have to leave the house fairly early this morning as Pat had a 10:00 am appointment at the hospital for a bone density test but realized last night that she had taken calcium at noon and then last evening and needed to be off of it 24 hours before the test.  So she has to call and cancel the test. She always takes her days medicine out of the daily pill book for the week and had picked up the wrong day's box.  We plan on eating our main meal out at noon today.   Nothing else on the schedule for the rest of the day.  Rather than work on my income tax yesterday I spend over an hour on FaceTime with my good friend from where I used to live and that was much more enjoyable than working on taxes.

Joan, it is nice to read that Candy is getting settled and loves living there.  Perhaps she will make that her permanent home and can really settle in. I know it must be a comfort to you to have her right there in your building but not needing to live in your apartments so you both have your own space. I don't think you are missing much on TV.  Will your farmer friend's new home be closer to where you live so he will be able to visit more?

Marilyne

Good morning to everyone.  It’s earlier than usual for me, out here in rainy California. DST has only been in effect for two days, but I adjusted more quickly than I usually do, I guess?   Actually, I was in a light sleep all night, and woke up a number of times. When I have a night like that, I dream a lot of vivid dreams, and I sure did last night.

Right before I woke up, I dreamed I was at a huge outdoor party.  I was alone, and trying to keep a low profile and not mingle with the crowd, because it seemed that I wasn't supposed to be there?  Then a group of singers lined up and started singing, "The Beer Barrel Polka".  I stood there and waited for them to get to the last part of the song . . . “Roll out the barrels, we’ll have a barrel of fun”, and I joined in and started clapping and singing.  A nice looking man walked up to me and smiled, and showed me an official badge of some kind, and asked me who I was and why I was there?  I was  relieved, and anxious to talk to him.  That’s all I remember, but now I’m trying to figure out the meaning of the dream??

So that's the start of my day.  I think I'll go to YouTube, and listen to "Beer Barrel Polka", and maybe I'll figure it out? :D

wjoan

Larry, my farmer friend currently lives an hour away but when he moves into his retirement home he will be in the same city as I am in now.  Will be nice to have him closer.  :)

Mary Ann

Marilyn, I was taking an antibiotic a while ago (have no idea why) and I had vivid dreams too, only they were weird.  I don't remember any of them, but as I usually don't dream, I blamed the antibiotic.  As soon as I was finished with that, the dreams ceased.  That in itself was weird!

It's just after noon here and the sun is shining and I've also seen big snowflakes.  Radar shows the entire state covered by snow but as it is over 32 degrees now, I think we won't have much snow.

Larry, I have had two bone density tests and I don't recall either time being told to not take calcium.  I take it every morning but I don't recall the time of day for the tests.  Both long ago.

Joan, you soon will have everyone you care about close to you - or nearly everyone.  Good planning!

Mary Ann

wjoan

Mary Ann, yep.  Wish it were all my doing but I cannot take credit for it.

SCFSue

I have ATT for my home phone and my TV--I do have a cell phone sitting here, but it will need to be charged if I travel anywhere.  I can call anywhere in the U.S. without a long distance charge on ATT.
I dislike talking on the phone anyway--and use it only for necessary calls.  I have 2 sisters, though, and must talk to one each month and I mostly listen for an hour or more while she talks.  The youngest doesn't call me as she can't afford long distance calls.  I call her on birthdays and holidays and that works for both of us.

Sue

Mary Ann

Sue, I was thinking the other day when someone mentioned being charged for long distance calls, that I didn't think I had to pay for them, but then I realized I didn't have to call anyone long distance, unless out of my area code is long distance.  Tom, who lives with me, has an Emmet County MI number and we do much of our communications by phone or e-mail and I have not been charged for any calls to him.  Tom wants to change the phone to Comcast for faster speed.  I don't, because I've had no problems with AT&T but he works out of here and it would benefit him.  So I said he could.  My SIL, Dot, is on Comcast with relatives in the midwest and I haven't heard her say anything about L D charges, but I'll ask.

Mary Ann

Good morning everyone!

I just switched back to Firefox. The last straw with Vivaldi (Chrome based) was this morning when I tried to get to Project Gutenberg. I got a page that said it was blocking my IP because it shows I am in Germany. Huh? It appears Germany and Project Guttenberg are having an argument. Anyway, I wasn't about to click on the link in case it was a hijacked webpage. I wonder if it is more of a Google vs Germany thing. Hope it wasn't a hijack. Will be running my malware and antivirus scans shortly.

Firefox, even though I had uninstalled it when I installed Vivaldi, found all my tabs and bookmarks and renewed all my settings from the previous installation. Ooooooohkayyyy! Is that scary (but convenient) or what.

It is a bit cloudy right now and  only 28o. Can't think of anything new or exciting just now.

Hi Everyone.  We have a sunny and clear day ahead with it getting into the mid-50's.  We had freeze warnings out for our area last night but I don't think it got that cold.  Last evening Pat and I went back to iHop for our dinner meal.  I had a Belgian waffle with a scoop of ice cream on top rather than syrup (and it was delicious) along with two scrambled eggs and two sausage links.  The combination was very good and I will have that again.  Pat had a bowl of their chicken noodle soup and found it very good along with spicy chicken Quesadillas.  There is nothing on the schedule for today until this evening when we will be having our dinner at the Church and then Scott will be coming out.  Jennifer advised us yesterday that she was uncertain about being able to attend either the dinner or coming out later as she thinks she has another kidney stone.

Marilyne, I dream a lot also but seldom remember the dreams. Maybe you were able to continue your dream last night and find out whether you were thrown out of the party.  :)

Joan, nice to see your farmer friend will be in the same town as you so you should get to spend more time with him.

Mary Ann, I wasn't taking calcium at the time I had the bone density test done and it was the test that has caused me to have to take calcium for the Osteopenia since then.  Pat had filled her medicine boxes correctly to leave out the calcium on Monday but picked up the Friday box instead of the Monday box.  She was able to reschedule the test for the last Monday of the month.

Sue, it makes sense to keep your ATT if you are happy with it.  We haven't had home phones for several years now but having the cell phones is not inexpensive especially with the data plans for a smart phone.  I have been paying for my iPhone on a payment plan and my 30 month contract is over next month.  While I like talking with people I don't like making the calls as don't want to bother them.  I like sending an email or text better as know they can see that at their convenience.

Mary Ann, are you using a DSL line for your computers?  If so there is a really big difference in speed with Internet via Comcast. I just checked and I will have to contact Comcast next month about a new plan as they always have one. I am glad your comment reminded me to check on that although see I had it on my calendar.

MarsGal, your browser settings and bookmarks are actually saved on your computer unless you had everything taken out when you uninstalled the previous browser.  I am now using a combination of the Opera browser and the Microsoft Edge browser.  I like the Opera better because it allows the creation of nice little boxes on each tab for the bookmarks.

Larry, I no longer have DSL for the Internet but I don't remember what I do have.  I know my phone and the Internet are combined on one bill and I remember a man (probably from AT&T coming to install something and said I was no longer connected to the phone company.  I have my landline phone number but not a landline phone.  If I am getting along OK, I don't mess with things, but Tom works out of the family room and he needs Internet that is faster than what I seem to have.
