Mornin all.  Think we will be climbing out of the 70's today.  The expected high is 88 so it will be warm.

Son had a great time up in Marysville over the weekend.  He says so on FB anyway.  Will see him sometime today so we shall see how it went.

Off to the shower, have a great day all and hugs all around,

Mary Ann

It is raining here now and the temperature has come down to 80.  The storm should not last long and then the temp will go back up and so will the humidity.  I have the air con because the humidity bothers me.  Fortunately I got the mail before the rain started.  It wasn't worth going after but at least I have it and I didn't get wet.

Don and I are  pleased and happy for your wonderful responses to our announcement.  Thank you so much my friends, it touched me deeply.

Sandy

I think that this is a
very exciting time for both of you!!

Enjoy!

Sandy :)

For Larry who asked about my new mini greenhouse. Here is a photo upon setting it up.

That is so Cool, Patricia!  Good on you for having that!

My granddaughter Melissa (mom to Bella, Will & Miles) has one similar right in her large, open kitchen.  It is about 3 times the size of yours, and she grows all sorts of greens for salads.  If you have a favorite, she probably grows it!  Seeing it absolutely blew me away.  That little family is sort of vegetarian;  not too strict, but close.  Her point is simply to be healthy, and they all eat some salad stuff every day.  They also have their own chickens, and eat lots of eggs.

Thanks, MaryPage. There is a larger one for 43.95 instead of this one. The same one locally is 99.99!

Outsunny 6.5' x 4.67' x 2.5' Outdoor Compact Walk-in Greenhouse.

We are having a heat wave in Stanton, Ca. Very unusual for this area as we are not that far from the beach. 103 or 104 for a high. So my A/C is pumping away.

Marypage, Your Melissa must have a good sized kitchen..lucky girl. I think I could easily become a semi-vegegarian. But I would not give up eggs, cheese, and an occasional helping of bacon. I ordered roast flank steak yesterday, and left most of it on the plate. My 91 year old teeth object to doing my labor for me.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Mary Ann

Bubble, I know we are all so very happy for you and Don.  Now we're waiting to hear more details.

Our storm this morning was very short lived - five minutes if that long.  We did get some rain, also of short duration.  My indoor/outdoor thermometer reads 87.5 degrees and it's only 2:45 pm so it can go higher yet.

Bubble. Now we are all waiting to hear your plans.  These are going to be different than most. You are going to need to come out of that bubble.

In the Classical folder, it seemed as if Don was talking about moving to Israel.

Good evening, another beautiful low 70's.  I would keep this all if I could.

Larry, I agree with you, you know more and see more if you watch on TV.  It was fun to go to the Opens, when they were so close by. I also went to the senior open, I think it was Bethpage.  We walked with Lee Travino, When he had to wait, he would come over and talk to us or even sign autographs.  He seem like a real nice man.

Sandy I like your greenhouse.  I wish I could send you some of our nice weather.

Beside going to the dentist, I got my hair cut.  My friend also took me grocery shopping.  When we got home she found she did not have her pocketbook.  She had left it in the cart, would you believe when she called King Kullen, the cartman had found it, and turned it in. She had stopped at the bank, and had $500. in it.

Just came in from my evening walk, and Bummer, it looks as though we won't be able to see the Strawberry Moon from here because we have so much cloud cover.  I have enjoyed it for several evenings now, but it is the real thing tonight and only tonight.  If YOUR  skies are clear, be sure to get out and take a look, as it is a once in 50, or 70, or whatever they said, year thing.

I had a delightful luncheon today:  picked up by two good looking gentlemen, both over ten years younger than I, and taken out to one of my favorite local restaurants, we had a great time.  One is a priest, and my landlord for 13 years now, and the other his brother, who is visiting.  Nice people.  Charming and fun to talk to.

Becky will arrive from Missouri on the 2nd and we are having a big all family party at Debi's on the 3rd.  I'm planning to just sort of hunker down and conserve my energies during our current heat wave, just to make sure I am thriving for that event.  I'll be making up two casseroles of cheese & macaroni for my contribution to the eating, which pretty much goes on all day, or at least from two until sevenish.  Then everyone helps clean up the debris and pulls out of there by eightish.  Basically, our summer parties are one big, long crab feast out of doors.  Their house has a two-story deck that runs the whole width of the property, with a pier and a number of types of boat.  They also set up a water volley ball net down below, and there is a concrete basketball court with a net pole that can be lowered when it is taken over by little scamps.  Great place for partying, and we've been doing it there for over thirty years now.

The Washington/Baltimore corridor has been having a heat wave, but we are talking 90° for highs.  Here on the bay, with the lovely breezes off of the water, we have been at least 6° cooler.  The reverse effect is true in the winter.  LOVE where I live!

God Bless Y'all, and be good, now!

Lindancer

Thank you Junee, for your thoughts, I will just be glad to see him out of ICU, he has been in there since a week to morrow.  I feel bad I cannot go in see him, I am In NY and he is in FLA.

Good Morning Everyone,  from the
not too hot (yet),  rocky coast of Maine.

I say "yet" because as I look
around on my weather channel,  I
see that much of the USA has now
entered the "Steamy Zone",  while
here in Portland Maine,  I just turn on
my AC a couple a times a day for
a few minutes to dry out the inside air.
So far it looks like we are going to be
good until after the fourth of July..

groan so much in the long dark

:snowball:)

I am off to take a shower and may
go for a bit of a walk later.

Have a good day, Everyone!

Greetings from comfortable Grand Rapids.  Our temperature now at 9:15 is 66 degrees with expectations of going to the high 70s.  I love it.

Nothing on my agenda yet but I do have to get stuff away from windows in a couple of rooms so the window washer can get at the windows Friday.  I don't have many windows as I have an inside unit.

Hi everyone on a bright, sunny Tuesday morning.  We are headed back to very hot weather as this afternoon we will get to 95 degrees.  I got a lot accomplished yesterday morning while it was still reasonably cool.  I did get the oil changed, then went to the Credit Union to cash some checks, got my call filled with gas and got my medical tests scheduled for mid-July.  When I got home I had a call from the chair lift company saying they had also decided we had a lemon and so will be here this morning to replace the operating parts of the chair.  Hopefully this will fix the problem and we won't have a re-occurrence of the problem. That is pretty much going to be it for today as just plan to stay inside where it is cool.

Mary Ann, regarding the penalty for Dustin Johnson, the lead rules official was the one who determined there was no penalty at the time Johnson called him over.  It really doesn't seem right that it should be later overturned but suppose they poured over the video of the happening and decided he had in some way caused the ball the move.  Just glad it was not a deciding factor in the outcome. It really doesn't matter whether he won by three strokes or four.

Sandy, glad the AVG saved the day for you.

Patricia, thanks for the link to the greenhouse you have on your patio.  That should keep the cat out of your plants.

Shirley, bad time for the power to be out during the heat of the day.  I can easily open my garage door with the pull rope if the power were to be out or as I did when the opener failed.  It is lightweight and easy to handle as seems to be well balanced.

Sachiko, your tomato plant appears to be quite a different type of vine than the two plants I have in my container garden on my back patio.

deAngel, Lee Trevino always came across on TV as a very decent fellow.  I just looked at his Wikipedia page and it said he is an icon for Mexican Americans, and is often referred to as "The Merry Mex" and "Supermex," both affectionate nicknames given to him by other golfers. The Masters is apparently the only one of the major tournaments he never won.  Your friend was lucky to retrieve her purse.  The last time Pat went to Walmart she bought a new plastic ruler of some type for her quilting but left it in the grocery cart.  She realized it as soon as she got home and immediately went back but could not find it.  She spoke with both the young man bringing in the carts and the service desk.  Fortunately it was only a $7 items.  I told her to think no more about it as it was just one of those things that happen.  She had laid it on the top basket area to keep it flat and didn't see it when she loaded the purchases in the truck.

Sandy, glad the AVG saved the day for you.

Larry,   I have finally gotten out of
the computer repair business and have chosen
to leave it to the pros.

AVG has been good to me so I let them take
care of my issues.   And yes,  I pay a stipend each
year,  but that is cheaper then buying a new
computer,  which I used to do often.

Owning and maintaining computers is an on
going process that I choose not to join the
battle.

I believe that they most computers have
a shelf life  (or how would they continue to stay
in business?)  so I do what can do to lengthen
that ..

Good morning from the same old Interior, cloudy with a certain chance of rain.

Farrah has finally decided she's home, yesterday she walked onto my knees and bumped my hand for some petting and last night, warily moved to the end of the bed for at least a minute or two, She is affectionate, but still wary of sudden moves or unexpected noises. However, she has decided she's home and that's so much more than I or Pet Pride expected of her so it is a win-win in everyone's book!

And What a Wind Storm we got last night. Was 10pm and the rain came. Then the wind of they say 76 miles a hour. Heard a crash and half of a big old tree next door fell on the house. its new so sitting empty. I was O.K other than the usual mess of tree limbs in my front yard.

So now back up again to 90s today. It is 87 now.  I for one tired of it. Was looking forward to summer but now looking forward to Fall.

Larry.  I also left something in my Walmart Cart a couple of months ago.  Did go back in to see if found when boy went to bring in carts. It hadn't been turned in.  I happened to be a pretty new Jacket . Sad because I had bought the slacks to match it and can no longer find a jacket.  I have missed putting the water bottle that are always in the bottom of the cart.
I put it down to getting old but now met young people who have done the same thing.

Larry, I saw a replay of Dustin Johnson’s problem and I could not see where the ball moved, but I wasn’t there.  At least many of his fellow golfers spoke up.  I’m glad he had enough strokes to overcome the penalty.

It’s good the chair lift company is going to replace some parts.

One time when Norm and Dot left a store, Norm forgot about his cane which was in the cart.  They thought about it when they got home, went right back to the store and the cane was not there, nor had it been turned in.  Norm never could figure why someone would keep a cane.

Jeanne, wouldn’t it have been a surprise if the person who took your jacket wore it to the store the same day you might have been there?

It is a very nice day here with our temp about 80 degrees.  There is a stiff breeze blowing but I sat on the deck with the cat and enjoyed the weather.

Mary Ann

Mary Ann

PS, there are quite a few people in the water at Grand Haven.  The water temp is 68 degrees.

Mary Ann

JeanneP

MaryAnn.  There are a couple of kites flying out there but few on the beach.  68 not bad for the water. Bet a lot on the weekend.  One Eagle is in the nest and the other up in the tree with back turned. Must have had a falling out.  Parents must not stay around now.  Not like us human parents. Just have to know what the kids are doing forever.  Not that I can keep up with mine. All scattered.

Goo evening, to day finally felt like summer, in the 80's and the humidity was 96

MaryAnn, I have lost two canes, and I was supprised also that they were not turned in. One was at Home Depot, the other in front of the beauty shop that I had got my hair cut.

Patrica  I knew you would win out with Farrah, you took the patience  with her plus  giving her love

I can't understand people taking Canes. For Why I wonder. I know that there are some beautiful carved ones that cost lots of money and people collect but Seniors very seldom use those.
