??????? Why does Lee Ann Remick follow Chad Everett?  Are we using words from the description also.  I'm sorry.  I can't seem to keep up with the rules

I used Lee Remick because this was part of the name the last person posted..(Chad Everett (nee: Raymon Lee Cramton, American actor)...

Ann Bancroft    Author and teacher

I thought we didn't use the descriptions in parentheses.  I never do!

JaneS..I never considered parenthesis however used in the description as a no no..Perhaps we should take a vote on it..

Vanilla-Jackie

I get what Jane S is saying...as this game is becoming more confusing as we go along...we often have the persons " stage name " added with their " original birth name.." which often is totally different...Maybe best to stay with the famous name we know them by..otherwise think we will get confused and find ourselves all over the place...anyway my vote is in... ;D

JaneS

I actually like having the descriptions there because sometimes I'm not familiar with the name posted.  However, I always thought of it as a learning experience...not part of the name.  My vote is for "name only" but please continue to add descriptive information.  I like seeing that!

Agree, the description can be a learning cove, along with the birth and death dates...

Okay, this is one that always confuses me.  Sir is a title.  Do we ignore that and build on the name only or is that considered part of the name?  Like Mr. or Mrs.  or in the case of "Field Marshal Montgomery" when someone used that title to build on.  Just seeking confirmation.

I have always used the name only, I only add title if the person concerned has been given a title..Other members may do different...I may also add if someone has been given an honour or has been knighted after his or her name but, it is purely for show only...

Radioman34

I have a confession to make: when I played John Field on the title 'field marshal' I did so as a mischevous prank knowing full well it wasn't part of a name; I just wanted to get some kind of reaction. So in my opinion it should not be part of a name.
