Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

I'm so enjoying browsing through the wonderful pictures in this new folder.

Re:  red-bellied woodpeckers.....  Two woodpeckers  come to my feeder and I finally noticed a difference in the red feathers  - so I "researched".
If you get a chance to see a front view of the red-bellied, you'll notice a red spot on its "belly".   The redheaded one has red feathers farther down its neck and a plain belly.

JeanneLee, may I occasionally send a picture for you to post?

Jackie, what a beautiful display by that  peacock.  Lucky you - I've never seen one open like that in person.

Callie, I'll be glad to post any photos for you.

That's quite a display from the peacock.  Where I grew up there were two or three of them.  Have you heard their "cry" (or whatever it's called).  I always thought of it as a giant cat's call and at one time could imitate it.
It's the WINDMILLS

...there was more than one Peacock in those gardens...yes I love the sounds of Peacock, the sounds were all around as we walked...This is a place we have been to a couple of times over the years, it is right next door to the famous Shuttleworth planes museum which I have been to see the old planes flying displays...I remember around 5 years or so, one Sunday with a rambling group doing a walk through a country lane leading to the back of the airfield, when all of a sudden over the hedge in front of us was a very old open top plane with a " Biggles " dressed pilot, goggles and brown leather jacket...so low going over our heads we waved to him, he waved back, of course I didn't think to take my camera with me...

Jeanne Lee...
...the last time I visited the Swiss Gardens, I was snap happy with my camera, I lost count of the amount of photos I took just of the Peacocks, I am sure I have some more photos, after I had a good clear out...or maybe this was the only one I saved...

I am happy you all enjoyed the Peacock display...

Amazing photo Jackie! We don't have them here so I've only seen photos from the other states. To me it looks like a cross between hawks.

Angelface ( Patricia ) you can see how well it was camouflaged amongst the branches...size-wise it couldn't be missed...it was the size of a small cat....It sat there pruning itself for quite some time, I was hoping and waiting to get a photo of its full wings, or when it took off in flight.... I wasn't quick enough and didn't get a good shot...First time I've seen a Buzzard up close... well one that stayed around long enough for me to look at it...

Vanilla Jackie, the buzzards I see here seem to be much larger than your buzzard.  They have wing spans that look to be at least 2 feet or more when coasting around our neighborhood.  We have lots of heavily wooded lots in our neighborhood and many small birds, squirrels, and chipmunks which attract the buzzards.

Nice photos, Jackie.  We used to see them when we visited the Ocala National Forest but haven’t seen any here in Niceville.

FlaJean and Sue...
...thank you...I wish I had caught it in flight, I dont think my photos do it justice for size...
