Title: Bugbear's...
Post by: Vanilla-Jackie on November 08, 2021, 01:27:05 AM
If there is one thing i cant stand newsreaders or anyone saying is " there are lessons to be learnt " always said after a horrifying story has emerged for probably the second time, we just know it will happen again...why must it take a horrifying story to happen before something gets done to stop these things happening in the first place....You know the news stories i mean..." another child - baby has been ill treated by the mothers boyfriend, left in squalor, no food, sexually assaulted " children's homes, hospitals, retirement homes have all been on our news at some time, all with their horror stories of mistreatment...Yet you will always hear " lessons are to be learnt " but these things still happen time and time again... i just cringe every time i hear this said, because they just never are, there is always a next time..

...I am sure we all have our " bugbears " now dont get me started on phone menus, press number 1 if you want to speak about? number 2 if you want to speak about this...then after pressing the wrong one, up comes another half a dozen...talk about going around in circles, oh for the days of getting a live voice at the other end...

Another bugbear...why do skirts that have waistband elastication to the sides and back, also have a button fastening to the side, and a " zip " added to the side or back...Hey, they dont need the zip if it already has waistband stretch to the sides and the back...The side button fastening is all the adding we need...I cant do zips and buttons with my nerve damage hands, i just need a pull-on...A skirt does not need a button fastening, AND a zip if it already has stretch...

Another bugbare is that term " assessment " being assessed on my needs for something i am entitled to...Just had a phone call from Occupational Therapist coming to " assess " me for my conservatory mobility scooter ramp...this has taken 4 - 5 months and i am still waiting on my ramp...
