Seniors & Friends

As I'm sure many of you have figured out by now, I love playing around with software and new ideas, so this is my latest project: a Wikipedia-style site devoted to Archie Comics. https://www.archiepedia.org

I'm not the first one to come up with this idea, but this is more of an "I can/want to do it better" thing. The current wiki devoted to the subject is on a hosted platform where they don't have complete control over everything. It's hard to explain exactly what I'm doing differently without getting into technical details, but it's coming along slowly.

Here are a couple of example articles (not much to any of them at the moment as I'm mostly doing this to ensure the templates are working the way I want):

The "Factbox" thing at the bottom of the articles is generated automatically based on properties set in the article, though I haven't decided if I'm going to keep that enabled or not.

Oldiesmann - Good luck with that newest venture.  Drop us a reminder once in a while - as the site fills up. I recall reading a couple/few of the Archie Comics as they came out.
