Goodnight.

Hi Kelly. and  no thanks needed, we are all friends here so don't be too polite.  Or is that too British and proper? lol

Hi everyone on a very rainy and stormy Friday morning in our area of South Carolina.  April showers aren't wasting any time getting started. We have had some heavy rains and one lightning strike that sounded like it was in our neighborhood.  We are to have periods of rain throughout the day and night.  Nothing particular on my calendar for today other than to pay bills as this is the first of the month.  I think this will be a good day to stay home.

MarsGal, what a terrible way to treat any animal--poor pony and then to be abandoned.

Mary Ann, I have heard of good excuses but eating more sweets to stay sweeter--now really!    ;D ;D  However, I also think you are a sweet and kind hearted person.

Sandy

Good Friday Morning,
from the Rocky Coast of Maine.
It is going to be in the high 50's  and 60's
today with a bit of rain mixed in.

Pretty much normal conditions for April,
here in the North East.

All is well here.   Just getting used to the new
place and what it has to offer.

I like it!

Hii Bubble
It is the Manx way to be polite.

Always taught to thank people for helping me!

Kelly

Kelly

Hi Sandy
You can have some of our rain if you want it  :)

Kelly

Kelly

Hi Larry
Or I could share the rain with you and Sandy.  :)

Kelly

Sandy

No Thanks Kelly,
We get plenty of rain here on the rocky
coast of Maine.    Springtime tends to be
very wet!

Any offers on this rain then  :)

Being silly now, but I am good at being silly.

Sandy I love your quote! ha ha ha

We are all mist and drizzle here on the Chesapeake on April Fool's Day.  I am very happy because I got my income tax refund this week and because I have nothing other than the ordinary daily chores of living to do this day.  So I expect to settle down in my easy chair in a little while and catch up on some shows I had to miss because there were two good things offered at the same time spot.  On Demand is so great for that;  no longer have to record shows.  Have a lovely day, Everyone!

MaryTX

Thanks but no thanks Kelly on your offer :).  We have enough of our own during the spring.  But, if you make the offer again about July or so, we'll jump at the chance ;D. After Wednesday's storms, yesterday was nice but today it's supposed to be gray and drizzley and will have to stretch to make 60°.

I picked up a couple of new books at the library so think today will be a good day to hunker down with coffee and a good book.

Hi Mary
Nobody wants the Manx rain!

:)

Kelly, I'll take a little of it, never turn down rain.  My daughter just called said it looks like we have some stormy weather approaching from the West.  But send the rain anyhow, our water storage is an aquifer and it isn't nearly full.

I am glad your refund was not on Fools Day so it must be real  :)
Enjoy the quiet day MaryPage, that is always satisfying.

JeanneP

We have had storms and heavy winds now for 3 days . I am tired of it . Days are either up in the 50s or down in the 30s.  Flu is going wild in town and so I am staying close to home more.  Now if it would stop raining could get some Spring cleaning done and out of the way.  Seems I feel like a nap each day. Something I hardly every do.  Today maybe another one.

MaryPage

Thanks, Bubble.  I've managed to make this beautiful (raindrops have exited and sunshine is set on High) day when my allergies to Springtime pollens seems to have super peaked more bearable by taking a Zertec and putting some ZADITOR drops in my eyes.  Then came a phone call from a local medical supply place that some special socks my doctor gave me a prescription for have come in.  She said I will have a co pay of twenty some dollars.  So there goes the first unexpected bite into my tax refund.  The rule all of my life has been that any extra money that comes my way will wind up being spent while I just sit back and feel stunned.  So then I asked if I had to shell out THAT much for two pairs of socks, how much are they per pair?  And the answer was $78.00 per pair.  I practically screamed "REALLY?"  And the answer came back:"Really."

Unreal!

so_P_bubble

Mary Page, go out fast and spend some of it for yourself, even  if only ice cream, before there is another phone call!  Or maybe it was ... 1st of April joke?

Kelly

Still heavy rain here and just been in to the capital Douglas.  Rain there also!

Kelly

so_P_bubble

here it is dark night with  high cold wind.  One could almost expect  Dracula to visit.

MaryPage

No joke, Bubble, but I think that is a beautiful idea, and I wish it were so.

so_P_bubble

MaryPage come here, we'll have that ice cream together.  Which is your favorite flavor?
I discovered this week that some 'oriental' flavor can be found here: Halva and Tehina! apparently quite tasty too but I am not adventurous enough to try them.

Kelly

Hi Bubble
What about the raspberry ripple flavour!

Kelly

Nita H

Hi, everyone. it is absolutely gorgeous here on the Oregon coast.

I was nitainoregon, and now just Nita H.  If you don't remember me, that's understandable. I was mostly awol. 😀😱 Hope to be here more often, but my uppity back just complains royal if I sit too long.  I usually just read and always enjoy your posts.

Kelly

Hi Nita H
I remember your name!

Kelly

Mary Ann

Speaking of ice cream, we haven't heard from Molly who posts in the Soda Shoppe.

We've had a decent day with the temperature around 50 degrees.

I just e-mailed my Federal and State taxes and I'm getting small refunds from both.  I have to pay to e-file the State return, but since I am getting a refund, I decided to pay to get it.  If I had to pay the State, I'd send in my return by snail mail.

I had one heck of a time getting to e-file, but I finally made it.  I was told all was OK but then the form decided I needed a middle initial.  I do not go by Mary A and make my first name as Mary Ann.  I checked and no middle initial is necessary, but I could not finish until I put one in, so I am Mary Ann A Tock!  Anyway, the paperwork has made it to headquarters.

I tried getting in here, first time since the change, and could not get in with my other laptop.  I'll have to see what I can do about that.

It's good to see new people here, especially Nita, who I remember from other folders, but not this one.  Norm would be happy to see so many "old" friends join here.
