Meant to put that on the other board.   Will put it there, also.

Joy, is that what she is carrying in her right hand?

Lake Michigan is really busy at Grand Haven today.  I understand it is to be very windy until the weekend.

Today Fed X delivered a package.  It was a mounted painting of a Golden Retriever.  In checking my photos I copied and cropped a photo of Mimi and it would appear that might have been the photo they used for the painting.  The strange thing is that it arrived on the first anniv of the day I got Mimi.   This was from Chewy where I buy my dog food, and the same firm that sent me cut flowers when Jessie died.  Here is my photo, cropped, and the painting.  Wonderful firm to do business with.  Thanks Chewy.

Jack, what a thoughtful gift.  I can see why you like to do business with them.  The painting is a great likeness of Mimi and is almost an exact copy of the picture.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else.

Jack, that does look like a "for real" portrait of Mimi.... I've painted probably 200 or more dog & cat portraits over the years & that one does not look like a computer done one.  Very nice of Chewy..... good job.

I usually have about a $50 a month (for the free shipping) order, plus the people Chicken of the Sea tuna & Salmon & the Friskies Indoor Delight dry food.  I also give them hamburger about half of the time, I buy those big packs of extra lean at Sam's Club & make tennis ball size balls to freeze in a big zip lock... learned I have to wrap in Saran wrap or they stick together & have to thaw to get apart.

Nice of Chewy, I call them every time I order (instead of just doing it online).... First time I ordered I did tell them you recommended them & had told us online that they had sent flowers when Jessee died & everyone was impressed with their kindness. Now that they have a place in TX I get my orders in 2 days.... Thanks to you for recommending, I'd never heard of them before. Could be they even check this place out now & then & know we talk about them, you think?

Bravo Chewy!  Such a nice gesture and nice surprise. We all remember Mimi.

Mary Ann,Bubble and Shirley thanks.  It would appear they may look in to Facebook and possibly get their ideas there.  It may be smart marketing, but I believe they really have the feel for animals and their owners.  Was really pleased with the timing, since it was exactly one year since Mimi came to join me.   I usually, now, shop with them on line but everyone I have talked to on the phone always has an answer to my question and will visit, never rush me.

Was watching football, but Mimi gave me that look.  Packed up and headed for the park.  There were long lines taking the driving tour, but have seen it many times.   Took Mimi for a nice walk, stopping for children to pat her.  Timing was great for several photos at sunset.

Jack, we're getting our annual Oglebay Christmas fix now.

Pretty sunset pictures.

Beautiful photos, Jack.  I think Mimi enjoys the walk more than football. ☺️

Jack wv...
...I dont blame Mimi at all for turning her nose up to football, I would too...Like Mimi I would be more at home doing your Christmas themed walk...what a fantastic place your Oglebay park, it has really come to life...

Jack, if you want a tip from me... :D do not ever leave " Chewy " a company who cares as much as they do is worth its weight in gold, and more...

Beautiful decorations and photos Jack.  I repeat myself: I wish I could see it in real!

MaryAnn, Jean, Jackie and Bubble.  Thanks for your kind comments.  Have mentioned in the past that my travel days are possibly over.  I envy some of your travels, past and present. I go only where I can drive, and take my Mimi.  Oglebay is so near and a treasure I never tire of.   Now one exception to taking Mimi.  I am off to church services.

Jack, those are such beautiful photos.  I enjoy seeing them.

Jackie, good to see you posting, Don't you take pictures any more from around you place?

Jackie I agree with Lin.  Shame you do not get about, but even those you take at home are interesting.

While in here I am repeating a portion of one photo.  No one commented but if you look at the one above  there is a large water tower that is often in sight.  I try to avoid it with my photos, and crop where possible.  Poor thing must feel bad, so here is a crop with it.

Great photo's again Jack. How lucky you are having that park so close to you. I can see you not bothering to travel any other place now.
I took the flu shot and the pneumonia shot at the same time a month ago and  regardless of that Doctors say I got pneumonia type illness within 3 days. Did not have a cold or anything before that. Last time any new shots for me. If you didn't take it I say don't.

Funny thing, Jack, I saw the tower but it didn't register as a "tower" as I scrolled by..... such a pretty picture over all it fit into the balance of it all (my opinion)..... Glad Mimi got you out.  What camera did you use?  All the photos have beautiful color.  I thought of Mimi when watching the dog show..... that Golden running for Best of Show looked so much like Mimi... shorter legs like hers.  I think the Golden should have won but maybe the judge was going for the "politically correct" dog... meaning .... not going to say more.  I loved seeing all of them but thought quite a few looked different from a few years ago since I saw it last, longer hair on some, different hair cuts and even slightly different conformation with some breeds.

Had less than 5 hours sleep last night and worked my legs off today, no nap.... and I am too tired to think.  One more cat meal & I plan to go find some zzzzzzzzzzzzs!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving (those that celebrate the holiday)!

Jack I saw that tower on your first photo and thought it looked so appropriate like a huge decorating Christmas ball.  But since I knew what it was, I kept quiet!

JeanneP  I still get the Flu shot, do not get the Pneu.

Shirley I have always had the female Goldens and they all have shorter legs.  The Goldens have not won competitions for some time. Think it is more personal opinion than popularity on the part of the judges.  The camera was my 200, doubt I will ever upgrade.

Bubble I should have known you would spot the water tank with that eagle eye of yours.  I took that shot near the car and was unable to crop it.   I play with almost every photo I take, to crop and enhance them.

Beautiful day, almost 60 degrees so off to the park.  Yesterday had Mimi groomed.  She is always beautiful but nice to see her fur all fluffed.  Took a photo of her posed in front of a cluster of ornamental grass.  Have photos of my Jessie and Zoe at the same spot.  Framed this photo of Mimi to hang with my other Goldens.

Jack, your pretty girl is nicely framed.

Larry took this photo of the neighbor's rose yesterday with our iPhone.

jackwv

Jean a great photo for a Phone.  Should frame it.   The phone was being handled by a trained expert.
