Mom used to tell us that one of her relatives participated in such an adventure, but I don't remember if it was Arctic or Antarctic, or which ship and who he sailed with. This guy although of Welsh descent was born in England. Some of my relatives/ancestors of Welsh descent do hail from England. My sister has the ancestry info at the moment so I am going to check with her. Maybe, just maybe! Antarctic would probably be right, since Mom always showed an interest in antarctic exploration.
