Sandy.
Now I really could do fine without a car as I live close to everything within 4 miles. Also we have the best public Transportation than most cities in US they say. This is a University town and so that reason for it. Also seniors get a free bus pass and 50% of taxis.  Just that I have had a car in my drive for 60 years and feels awful without on. Does seem silly to pay so much for insurance when only putting about 1400 miles a year on car. Also all the cost of car. But will see. Suppose to see one tomorrow but may have to cancel. Reason

Thank goodness. I got 4 books at the library last week. Still without a car and tonight we are getting 3 to 5 inches of snow. Do not remember a winter like this in Illinois before. I fell like wall are closing in.
Found a new writer. love her books. Her name is Emily Giffin. I read the first one and then found 4 more of her books in LPrint Got them all. now into number 2.
Not even in the mood to be on the  computer. I need to get onto Comcast as my WiFi not working .Will try contacting them tonight if I feel like spending a long time talking to someone out of the country. Hard to get people in US.
We need to get some warmer weather and sunshine to get me into a better mood

Good morning, Buddies.  I spent most of yesterday afternoon at one of those walk-in clinics because I had a deep cut over my right eye.  Lue's son-in-law took me to my doctor's (GP) office and his employees told me I'd have to go to the emergency room at the hospital.  I was bleeding a lot--so Lue's SIL said let's stop here at one of those walk-in clinics.  We did and it wasn't long until a nurse (or perhaps she was a doctor) came in and stitched me up.  No way did I want to go out to the hospital and sit in the emergency room waiting for a doctor.  They take people in the order they arrive and usually most are just there for minor problems.  I'd fallen during my morning walk and was bleeding heavily.  I take a blood thinner and I'm sure that increased the bleeding.  I had to walk about 4 blocks home from the walk with blood dripping down my face.  However, I saw one of my friends from a few blocks away out in her yard and she cranked up her car and took me home with a bottle of ice to hold over the cut.

I'm feeling OK this morning, but have a BIG black eye.  I'm going to bridge this afternoon, but it is not a pretty sight!

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
Sue

jane

Sue...glad your friend's son could get you to a walk-in clinic and get you stitched up.  You'll have to tell your bridge friends you were in a bar fight and they should see the other person! Hmmm...maybe your bridge ladies wouldn't see the humor in that, though.   :2funny:

Marilyn...it'll be interesting to see what the result is of your appeal.  I thought the whole point of the penalty was to make sure people didn't wait until they had high costs to suddenly sign up...Kind of like you can't take out house insurance while your house is burning down.  K will probably still come out ahead if the penalty is just $30.00 a month...since he's had not to pay anything since 2011.

We got out for our haircuts yesterday and Ray felt better after that. The barber in Port Isabel does the old-fashioned men's shave and haircut...the warm towels on the face, the oils, etc.

The winds have both of our sinuses all plugged up and feeling miserable.  We'll have an inside day and get rested up and hopefully feeling better tomorrow when it's supposed to suddenly be much, much warmer.

jane

SharonE

I finished all the laundry yesterday but still have to fold it. The cleaning girl is here this morning, so I haven't done much. I'll look at pictures this afternoon.

Sue, I'm so sorry you fell but glad the neighbor helped out and took you to an urgent care.  Anytime you hit your head, it seems you get a shiner.  Not fun.  I've had a couple from falls also.  I like Jane's humorous comment. Wished I'd thought of it!  Please be more careful.  I bet Tim will scold you!

Jeanne, I can't believe more snow!  I don't blame you for being depressed.  You ought to take your IPad into the library and have them download Overdrive app or whatever they use. Then you can download books to your IPad without leaving the house!  And when the due date arrives, it just disappears--I think.  I am just now in the process of doing this.  Lori was trying to do it for me when I was in FL and when I tried to finish it up here, I discovered our County Library system has switched to a different app. Haven't gotten around to going to the site and downloading it.

Marilyn, you're ahead of me on taxes. I just got the forms from the accountant last week so haven't started on them yet.  Hope the appeal works.

Jane, I'm sure you and Ray feel better after your haircuts and getting out, but sorry the weather is giving you sinus problems. That's one of the few problems I do NOT have.  However, pollen is starting here for the spring, so I'm having to amp up my antihistamines.  It was 20+ degrees last night but supposed to be up in the 50's for a couple days and then the 60's. I can take that.  Our magnolia is in full bloom and our plum is leafing out. So maybe spring is arriving!  At least here.    Sharon

maryz

Sharon, glad things are settling down for you.  The pink magnolias were GORGEOUS here over the weekend.  Of course, our three nights of temps in the low 20s pretty much did them in, but that's not unusual.  And they were wonderful while they lasted.  Supposed to get warmer here, and then rain - of course.

Sue, that's awful about your fall.  You're SO lucky that somebody found you and got you some help.
You probably ought to think about using your walker when you do your outside walks.  Like Sharon said, I know you'll hear about it from Tim when he sees you.

Marilyn, all that paperwork is such a chore.  Glad you're able to get things done.  My stuff is all in the trusty hands of my accountant.

jane, I'm glad Ray got some pampering time.  That's important for all of us - and I think men don't often realize that.

Jeanne, I hope you get some spring weather soon.  Like Sharon said, the library can help you learn how to use their e-book borrowing system.  And it's good anytime and from any location.

Lovely day here today - sunny and in the 50s  Happy Thursday, Buddies!

SCFSue

Good morning, Buddies.  It's chilly here again this morning and I'm warmly dressed for our weekly Kroger and library trip, plus hopefully lunch after I put the groceries away.  I haven't seen Tim since Monday when he came over to check on me, so I think he'll be surprised to see my bruises and the stitches over my eye.  I didn't fall until Tuesday morning.  I'm expecting Bill (my oldest) tomorrow evening.  He's planning to stay a week.  So Tim and Kris will get a break from Mom tending!

My sinuses are plugged up, too.  I'm thinking of buying stock in Kleenex!  I hate this time of year--chilly, but lots of pollen in the air.

I played bridge with my Thursday club yesterday--had yuck cards and got a quarter for low score.  I enjoy this group and Dorothy served a delicious homemade cake so I enjoyed the company and was glad to get out.

Jane, I'm glad you and Ray had a nice day out and he got a haircut.  How is he feeling--and are the treatments going well?

Not much else to report.  Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
Sue

maryz

Glad you're up and around, Sue.  Take care and don't fall again.  I'm glad your sons are going to be with you and assess your situation after your fall.

It's an all-day-rain today.  I told my Friday bridge partner I wasn't going.  I have to help her get her walker in and out of the car, and no place is there shelter from the rain.  I just don't want to get out in it, getting wet and chilled.  I'm really turning into a wuss, but...

I just found out Wednesday that my next-door neighbor died over the weekend while I was gone.  She committed suicide, which is really awful.  I didn't know her well, and really had little contact with her.  She had other close friends here in the building, though.  I know she was in a lot of pain, suffered with depression, drank a lot, and was estranged from her family.  All definitely contributing factors.  Such a tragedy all around.

Such a note to end on a rainy day - sorry.
"When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it.  You just learn how to go on without them. But always keep them safely tucked in your heart."

Marilyn

Good morning Freckles and I have a visit at one of the places that we visit once a month this morning, then I will be meeting up with some other women for a coffee break this afternoon, I won't be drinking coffee thaty late in the day., then you guessed it Friday night dinner at Los Dos amigos in the mall.

Sue I hope you heal up real quick.

SharonE

Sue, sorry your bridge was yucky. Hope Bill didn't scold you too much and glad that Bill is coming in. It's so good to hear that you're up and around and not incapacitated.

Mary, I think you're wise to skip the bridge under the circumstances.  I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbor's suicide. That must have upset the whole center.  Brian had a close friend from the AF that recently committed suicide. Brian was devastated and flew all the way to Seattle for the services. I know the man was divorced, but not much other than that. He had a lot of friends, but once you leave the military, you are far apart and don't feel you have any, I guess--especially if you're single. He was the one that encouraged Brian to run the AF marathon and ran with him. That was about 8 or 10 yrs ago, but they were always in touch and Brian had no idea he would do that.

Marilyn, it sounds like you have an enjoyable day planned. Have fun.

I started my taxes yesterday and asked John for the list of dates & check #'s of estimated taxes.  He couldn't find any evidence of them and I was about to strangle him, but I went back to last year's tax statement and found we had overpaid last year and that it all went to estimated taxes!  Whew!  We neither one remembered that and since I have passed finances off to John, I thought it was on him!  I plan to finish up the taxes today and get them in the mail to our CPA in Indy tomorrow.  No other plans.  Sharon

SCFSue

Good morning, Sharon and everyone looking in today.  I'm still not dressed, but will do that shortly.  I was looking forward to Bill's visit this morning, but had a phone call from him last night.  He has some kind of flu-like symptoms and is not going to come down until he is germ free.  He is a Dean at his University and has daily contact with lots of co-eds.  I hope he'll recover soon, but since he's only free this week, will probably skip this trip.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's time change.  It means getting up and dressing for SS and church a whole hour earlier!  I need to call Olyne today and see what she thinks about going to SS.  Maybe we'll skip that and go to church only.  Or not either!

Mary, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor's suicide.  Depression is a terrible thing and I'm sure she probably couldn't take it anymore.  However, suicide is so awful for the family.  It is a disturbing event although you and the neighbor weren't close friends.

Sharon, I have 3 close female Navy friends, most are widows like me.  We talk on the phone about twice a year and occasionally e-mail.  My female friends here are mostly church friends and/or bridge friends.  My neighbors are friendly but not close friends.

I still have a yucky black eye and although it is healing, is pretty ugly.  There is nothing I can do about it, though, so people will just have to get used to it until it heals.

Marilyn, I hope you had a yummy dinner at Los Amigos.  I am healing well, I think, but the mirror tells me that the black eye and the stitches aren't very flattering!

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.

Hi Buddies...hope your Sat is going as you like...Sue sorry to hear about your fall and black eye...I'm going to have the brow and lid surgery in June...my eye Dr recommended it and the test showed it was needed...so I will have bruises and probably black eyes from this...Jane..hope you are enjoying the summer like temps...I did get a walk in today...Hi to Sharon...Mary Joy...Marlyin and others looking in... have a great weekend

maryz

Darlene, good luck with your brow/eye lift surgery.  My daughter had this type procedure with doctor recommendation and did very well.

Sue, have you told your boys about your fall?  You need to do that.  Tim (I guess) will have to take you to the doc to get your stitches removed and for checkup.  That bruising will last for a long time - a lot longer than you'd like, I'm sure.

Marilyn, I love Mexican food, too.  Enjoy your dinner.

More rain here - lots of lightning and thunder, too.  Yesterday and overnight we had 2.4", with another line of storms predicted tonight.  Sarah's (granddaughter) wedding is two weeks from today in Savannah.  Margaret will be driving us over the day before.  Should be a fun weekend.
"When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it.  You just learn how to go on without them. But always keep them safely tucked in your heart."

Sue. Now I have lots of books downloaded to my iPad. Also have a couple of tablets. I like the Amzon fire one as it fits in my purse. I still prefer to hold books in my hand when at home.
The storms we are now having is getting rid of the snow.. Still cold though. Has to warm up soon..
I use to be able to see your photos on Facebook but have lost you. I would have loved to have visited NZ. Had family and friends there.  Time has just gone by to fast. Don't know if could take the. Long flight now. My  7 hours bad enough
 to U.K
JeanneP

SharonE

Jeanne, time does go by too fast and I'm sorry you didn't get to go to NZ. John enjoyed it, but was exhausted from the flight. With 4 flights on the way home + time between, it was about 30 hours. He's still tired.

I almost have my taxes done but keep getting interrupted with something. This afternoon, Duke Energy came out to do an electrical assessment of our home. They do it free and had sent me a card, so I requested it. They even gave us 8 LED lights, 2 shower heads and mesh nozzles to go on the faucets to cut down the water flow. He did all the changing out and was very good. I'm amazed they do something like that for free.

Now, back to the taxes.  Almost done.

Mary, is that a great grand daughter getting married?  Wow!  Sounds like you'll have a good family time there.

Sue, I hope you heal quickly and also that you tell Tim about it.

Jane, haven't heard from you for a couple days. Hope all is okay.

Darlene, you're going to be beautiful with the brow/eye surgery! I'm approaching the eyelid lift, but the doctors haven't mentioned it and I'm not looking for anything else for them to cut on!!

Have a good day.  Sharon

maryz

Sharon, Sarah is my "baby" granddaughter (she'll be 30 in about a week).  No "greats" yet.
"When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it.  You just learn how to go on without them. But always keep them safely tucked in your heart."

SharonE

Ok, Mary, I misread it as your grand daughter's daughter. I wondered! My oldest great is not quite 7.

It's been raining again! Yuck. John had a finance meeting after church so we drove separately. He's home though now and I put the towels in the wash. Need to switch them to the dryer, but no other wash today since I spent half the week washing up vacation duds.

The taxes are done except for walking John through what I did, so that if he ever needs to do it, he can.  I'll put them in the mail tomorrow.  In 58 yrs, he has never done or prepared the taxes!  I don't actually do the tax forms, but the CPA has to have all the info to do it and it seems to take forever since we've gotten older and more medical bills, etc.  Sharon

jane

I seem to have lost track of time and didn't post yesterday.  Ray doesn't sleep well with this cold and cough, so I don't sleep well, either.  I seem to be tired all the time.  I looked back and see I didn't post about that.  He was really struggling with that awful cough and it was beginning to show an infection so I called the Cancer Center and they were so slammed with patients, I got no call back.  I went over and asked if I'd get a call that evening or Saturday and woman at front desk said no.  They're closed on the weekend. She checked to see who got my call and later a message I left with a receptionist.  That nurse  came out and talked to me after a short wait as she was at lunch.  She gave me a script for a z pack and I could get it right there at their pharmacy.  Saved me waiting in an endless line at WalMart!

Sharon...I don't think I could give up the family finances.  I'm pretty rigid about keeping the bookkeeping up to date, and I know Ray wouldn't...hence why I've done it all our married life.

Hi to Sue, Marilyn, Darlene, Mary, Jeanne

Jane

SCFSue

Good morning, Buddies.  It's foggy here this morning and chilly, but not too cold for a walk.  I talked to Bill yesterday and he'll be here either tomorrow or Wednesday.  He'd had a "bug" and was at home for several days and needed (or wanted) to go back to his office to get things in order before coming down here.  I think they are on spring break now.

Olyne picked me up for SS and Church yesterday.  We went to the lower floor for a program about a pastor/leader at the center in Atlanta for Presbyterian ministers.  Our campus minister (a female) led the discussion and there will be a weekly meeting during Lent.  However, Olyne and I think we'll just skip the discussion and attend church at the regular hour.

My right eye and the area around it is still very red and swollen--but at least it doesn't hurt!  It looks pretty bad, but no pain, so I'm OK with that.

I'm going to get dressed now and walk around my block, but I'm not taking longer walks yet.  I still feel somewhat unsteady and am afraid of falling again.  Plus I have a big packet from my accountant about my income tax and I need to send her a check for her prep expenses and the first one (of 4) to the IRS.  YUCK!

Jane, I'm glad you were able to get a z-pack for Ray and hope he is feeling better.  Keep us posted.

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
Sue

jane

Sue...good idea to limit your walking distance.  Hurrah on the taxes done.  I can look forward to that whenever we get home.  With the new tax law, I'm guessing it'll be the standard deduction.

Marilyn...hope visits with Freckles went well.

Sharon...all that travel has had to tire out John.

Mary... Enjoy upcoming wedding in Savannah.  I think your family has had lots of ties to Savannah and the College, etc. there.  Beautiful city from our short stay there at an Elderhostel years ago.

Darlene...good idea on the eyelid lift.

Jeanne...stay warm and safe.

We both slept late (by daylight savings time) this morning. If we're tired, I say sleep.  We have no where to be or no appts today. I think we'll do a light breakfast, then get lunch out somewhere about 1:30 or so.

Jane

maryz

jane, my granddaughter lives in Bluffton, SC, just across the state line from Savannah.
Those grands all went to the College of Charleston.  It's hard to get any of them out of South Carolina.  :)  Enjoy those slug days - you have enough stress on "regular" days.

Sue, be sure you take a cane or your walker with you on all your outside walks - especially since you've fallen.  You might not be so lucky with someone driving by to pick you up next time.

After yesterday's lovely 70 degrees, it's cooler and cloudy again today, with sprinkles.  I went to the eye doc this morning for my 6-month check.  All looks good...he says my vision has actually improved.  That's an anomaly, though, so he's going to check it again in a couple of weeks.  If it still shows the improvement, I'll be getting some new lenses.  Amazing!

My taxes are all in the hands of the CPA, and she's done some talking to the financial folks. As usual, I just sign things and send in checks.  I handled all the household finances throughout our marriage, but never touched the taxes or investment stuff.  So I'm thrilled to have someone else do it now.
"When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it.  You just learn how to go on without them. But always keep them safely tucked in your heart."

Marilyn

I took all our tax stuff to the accountant  last week. Just waiting to hear back from them, I was told that being Keith's POA and being a joint filer I can sign both of our names to the final forms. thety will file electronically though soi I guess it doesn't matter much about the signatures.

Just got word a bit ago that one of the  patients we visit passed away last night. freckles and the other dogs are really going to miss him. He gave them treats and they know exactly which room he was in. It will be hard on the dogs and well as us humans who knew him. I took his dog to visit him a while back. That dog now lives across the street from me and is pretty old now and doesn't get around very well.

SharonE

Sounds like we've all been doing the tax thing. The CPA actually fills them out and files them and lets us know how much we owe and what our estimated taxes for the quarters are. Last year, we actually paid more than we owed and it took care of the quarterly pmts.  Just getting all the stuff together to send to the CPA is a royal pain though.

Jane, I really didn't like giving up financial control to John, but he finally realized he didn't know anything about anything and would be in a pickle if anything happened to me, so I agreed, but I keep an eye on things anyway.  I'm sorry Ray has been ill again, but the chemo really does a number on the immune system. Glad he's on the Z pack.  Both John and I slept in this AM too.

Sue, do use a cane on your walks. Arnica cream (OTC) is good for fading bruised areas. You can also use a concealer. Glad Bill is coming.

Marilyn, I'm sorry you lost a patient.  Hard for Freckles too. Glad you have your taxes in order too.

Mary, I keep forgetting that your gd lives in Bluffton.  That is such a neat little town. Our church was there when we lived  in SCHH.  Savannah is a lovely southern town and just about a half hour from Bluffton.

After I dropped the taxes off at UPS, I went to HT to pick up an RX and some groceries, then on to drop off some cleaning. Didn't eat until 2:30.  Nothing scheduled for the rest of the day.  Sunny & warm here today. Yea!  Sharon

jane

. We were out as I ran some errands.  I came out of the print shop and looked up to see a bad car accident occur as I watched.  Turns out, from another witness, the "dude" as the young male witness said, was high on synthetics and wouldn't have insurance.  He ran the red light at a high speed and hit a young woman on her way back to work.  I stayed as a witness for her, too.  Police, firedept and EMTs finally arrived.  There were 5 of us who were witnesses and gave our names to the cop.  She wasn't hurt, she said, but has minimal insurance and it'll cost her a bundle as he tore the whole front off her car as he hit her and turned her around.

I did find a grocery closer than where I've been going.  Ray wanted to stop by a church, but it was all locked up.  He's not attending regular services because of the crowds.

We are back after lunch at Russo's Pizza.

Finely. I nice day. only 45 deg but sun out and no wind. I cleaned up the front yard a little but still a mess. Will be same for next 4 days so maybe get a little more done.]
I am still without a car and mine is sitting over at a Service station . Has been for a month. The wiring system has a problem someplace that can't be found.   Always have used Honda but they gave up.He  Said would cost to much to now spend time searching. I have looked at used cars. check all the ones on line with the dealers. Shocked me to see how many used cars they have on their lots.. 50% of them they got from the Action houses down in a Texas, Arkansas and most places were the floods were. They don't tell you much about them but I know how to trace the records and Flood Damage seems to be a big thing. They never mention that. Most trade ins have high miles. Still waiting for the one that the little old lady just drove to church.I have never bought used car before. No point in me buying new as I only put about 1300 miles on a car a year now.  and doubt I will be driving one much longer. Crazy even to spend the high Insurance  Will just keep looking

Jane. It makes me mad at the health system when I read about things like your last weekend trip trying to get ahold of them. I have wondered for last few years as to why Health places are not open on Sat. and Sunday and also close at 5pm. Seems that years ago the system was better. Why even here with ours in town they dont even call back. Have a number listed for all my health.Called  My Care Christie.  Even after blood work. Dr. Appt. Test. one has to go on line and read everything. Dr. doesnt sit down and talk anymore .Have lot of women that type every thing to you. This is  all they do. Read his report and put it to me. Worst System ever heard of. The banks are getting about the same. No idea what people do who are not on line. I know many like that.

Jeanne...the Cancer Center here has a 24/7 number for Ray if temp goes above 100.5, etc.  The Oncologist also does talk to each patient and does answer questions and gives us copies of his blood work, etc.  My health care with rheumatologist is also online and easiest way to get hold of them, esp while I'm here in Tx. I also don't know what people who aren't internet literate do.

I'm really liking this eating breakfast a little later and then a larger meal at 2 or so.

The small dose of insulin is really helping with Ray's morning blood glucose readings.

Jane

SharonE

Jane, glad the insulin is helping Ray. It tends to increase the appetite, but he is so tall & thin, it probably won't affect him. Scary about the accident. I worry about all the people in the marijuana states who drive under the influence. Just as bad as drunks. Or druggies.

Jeanne, I'm glad you're aware of the cars that have been through floods, etc.  I wish you could come down to SCCL. We always have good used cars for sale on our website.

It's 2 AM and I'm wide awake. I slept too late and then fell asleep for a little while in front of the TV--just enough to take the edge off.

John is going to Charleston Thurs-Sunday for a bridge tournament. He doesn't usually go there but has a new partner for the Gatlinburg tournament and they need to practice.  In between the 2, he has the Charlotte sectional. He always stays in a motel there because they finish so late.  I swear he's gone more than he's home.

When he leaves, I'm going up to Pineville to Dillards to look for a  long dress for the wedding. Apparently, everyone is going long and I don't have any and probably won't wear it again. I hope I can find something suitable.  All for now. Sharon

SCFSue

Good morning, Every Buddy.  I've finished breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen.  Bill was up long before I woke up, but he fixed his breakfast and was busy working online with his office in Glen Carbon.  He is going to take me to the place where I got stitches after my fall to have them removed later this morning.  We'll have a light lunch here and I will try to find something he'd like to eat to prepare for supper.  We went to the new Aldi's here yesterday.  I bought a few things, but can see that will not be a usual stop for me.  The nearby Kroger always has what I want and at a reasonable cost.

Jane, it sounds as if the Cancer Center there is a good one.  I hope Ray is feeling better and tolerating the treatments.  I remember how tough it was when Bob was having cancer treatments.  Thoughts and Prayers for you both.  Keep us posted.

Sharon, have you thought about checking out a bridal shop for perhaps a one-time used dress that you might be able to get as a bargain?  Of course it would have to be a style you like and in a color that the bride would like you to wear.

Jeanne, I still have my 2002 Toyota which is in great shape and sitting in my driveway.  My kids won't let me drive it, but they use it to take me grocery shopping, medical appointments, and other necessities.  When I bought it I had decided it'd be my last car--and it still has plenty of miles left on it!  Bill is taking me to the clinic where they sewed up my injury last week.  They're going to take the stitches out today.

I need to get into the shower and dress for our trip to the clinic.  Have a nice day, Every Buddy.

Sue

SharonE

Sue, that is a good idea to find a used dress at a bridal shop. I even know where one is, although not sure if they have used dresses for sale.  If not, it's Dillards.  Enjoy your time with Bill. I know you'll be glad to get the stitches out.

Jane, I hope Ray is doing better now that he is on the Z pack. It's a stressful time for you both.

Yesterday, I downloaded all of J's 402 photos of NZ to his computer and then to a flash drive we can take to the wedding for the kids to see.  One fly in the ointment of the wedding is that John's sister (the one with beginning dementia) wants to go. She is currently living in Iowa with no Ede family around her. None of our kids are close enough to go there to pick her up, take her to the wedding, and then home again. One idea is for J to fly into Des Moines, pick her up, and fly her to Indy where he could rent a car and drive down or maybe even change planes to go there. I can go to Indy and come down with Lori's sons or Melanie and Sangmin, but knowing Mel, she will be stressed and would prefer not.  Decisions, decisions.  Also we don't know if she might disrupt the wedding or would really know what was going on.

I've watered and fed the birds and now need to write my church articles.  Have a good day.  Sharon

Sue...great Bill can take you to get your stitches out.

Sharon...is there a high end consignment shop that features wedding clothing?  We have a very nice one in Cedar Rapids and there may be something near you...or, I hear, there are places to rent a dress.

Mid to high 80s here and wind advisory here.  I had a lot of laundry to do.  It's so nice to have a clean, modern laundry with nice washers and dryers...and free.

Ray is feeling good...just no energy or stamina.  We went to a local family-owned Italian restaurant where everything is made from scratch.  It was lovely and delicious...a nice lunch today.

I spent 2 hrs writing church articles. Answered a bunch of emails and put a chicken pot pie made by the UMW in the oven. Fortunately thought of it just at the right time to put a frozen pie in.  Last night I made tostados and was wiped out before I got finished. John had to help me finish up.  It was one of the "Hello Fresh" recipes. They are good, but they've sent me another order before I got it cancelled which I had done before I received the notice.  Grr. They did answer me and apologize, but said I couldn't send it back.

John leaves tomorrow morning again and will be gone till Sunday night. I do know where there is a high end consignment shop. If I don't have any luck with the other 2, I'll check it out. I didn't think of that either.  Well, that's my day.  Marilyn, all okay with you?  Sharon
