My Mod in the Winni Lesson Group emailed me the supplies for Lessons 17, 18, and 19.  I've been working on #17. The tutorial calls for Eye Candy 5 Impact>glass1f1s but the supplies only gave us glass2.f1s so I used one of the pre-sets in the EC list.  It looks pretty close to the one in the tut picture.  I hope they get the Drop box situation resolved soon.

Bubble, I like Mutante even though the image is a little unsettling.  Still, it fits the background and the effects that you used.

Angel, "playing around" with all of the features (effects, borders, selections, etc.) in PSP is when nice creative things happen.

How frustrating! I just found that all the L&K choices, except for Zitah cause my PSP to shut down.  I tried downloading ones, also from different sources, to no avail. and of course I needed a different effect than Zitah :(  So it is improvising again.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!    :tickedoff:

YES!  It is frustrating, Bubble.  Seems we have to do a lot of improvising.  I love working with effects......and I hate working with effects.  A two-edged sword.  >:(

Okay, I am pulling my hair out over lesson #11. I am dealing with my mod now and after explanations, I am now sending her screenshots. The first step is my graphic is purple and the example shows their graphic color as a type of grayish green. Then on step #6 where it says to minimize a layer, I have a sharply defined rectangle of dark purple which does not exactly fit what they are going for! AAAAAAHHHHH~!!!????!!!  Stay tuned..... :idiot2:

I have eye candy 5, impact, nature and textures. I also have eye candy 4000 which no longer works, I need a new serial number for it I suppose. I did recently purchase eye candy 7  which I really enjoy using. I also purchased over time, the complete flaming pear and plugin commander which I need to relearn and start using again.

My biggest issues wirth the effects is half or more don't work, although many work in filters unlimited 1 & 2. What is baffling is that the filter factory effects do not work unless they are in filter unlimited 2 except for filter factory N which will not work at all! L&K is working only inside filters ultimate 2.

Marilyn, such a pretty kitty graphic!

Bubble, on Couleurs de printemps, you have such intricate work on the background, I know how hard and time-consuming that is. But your tube could definitely use a good bra! In my own opinion! She reminds me of the actress who played "Sue Ellen" on the TV show, "The Waltons," years ago!

Bubble, thank you so much for all the corners as I can really use them!

Lesson #10

Marilyn

Thank you Angel,  I really like your lesson 12, I like the lighted up lighthouse in lesson 10 and the way the sunlight is coming through the clouds.

angelface555

Thanks Marilyn, I'm really enjoying going back to school!  :)

angelface555

While I'm awaiting my newer try at Lesson 11, here are a few attempts at playing. Masks, filters and back again. Does it look rain swept? That's what I was going for.

This is another blend which was easier with three very similar winter scenes. I am learning how to resize but have issues with making those figures look real and not just a projection. How do you put a figure in a blended scene and make it look as if it was there?!

The frame is a bit much, but it's playtime and I was thinking lacy!

angelface555

This was a total space attack! Filters, masks, evening scenes and blends, oh my!

You can tell I'm getting loopy!

And Good Night!

Angel, that street corner is a win.  Yes, it looks rainy enough. :)

Unlimited did not want to accept my L&K :(

"How do you put a figure in a blended scene and make it look as if it was there"
I think yours are too defined, that is why.  I would try to select empty space around the figure with the magic wand on tolerance 10 and feather 15 and hit delete 4 or 5 times. That will soften the edges and make it more realistic on a blend. It  adds some perspective impression. Try with less feather according to the colors of the figure or the blend.

P.S. Angel, that "lady" does not wear a bra because she is only wearing body paint, no clothes! lol

Angel, I purposely changed the colors for my Lesson 11 and my mod said it was fine. I took two colors from the dress of the faery and made my gradient and those colors went into the background.  You aren't required to stay with the same colors or images that are given in the lesson tuts.  The only thing they seem to care about is that you understand and do the effects, etc.

I finished Lesson 17 yesterday.  I think I solved the problem of the .f1s glass effect and just used an Eye Candy pre-set and it looks almost the same.  There is usually a "go-around" but sometimes it isn't easy to find it.  Teaches me a lot.

I loved both of the night in the city graphics.....especially the clock.  I use different blends and lower the opacity, as well as Bubble's suggestion of feathering, to help blend the images into the picture in stead of just looking like they are pasted on.

Bubble I like your advice on how to soften up anm image. Interesting background effects on Belle Femme,

Angel Your first blend definitely looks rain swept the second look like a snow effect. I like both of them.

Phyllis You are doing fantastic with your lessons.

On the clock, I used a mask from Lesson 12, some layer blends, perspective shadows from Filters Unlimited 2 and some Flaming Pear. I downloaded several tubes of atmosphere and of fully dressed men from Malacka's blog. She has over a thousand tubes of women but the majority look like they've just come from modeling a catwalk, unfortunately!

Bubble, I had some success with going through a filter's folder and only downloading and importing  the ones with a filter extension, leaving all other items in the folder alone. It didn't always work, but sometimes. My Filters Unlimited folder has more databases than the rest of my computer! LOL

Thank you, Phyllis, for showing your lesson #11! Karen thinks I was having trouble with a mask although I don't think so. She suggested waiting and trying it again today. I have left colors as they are for fear of messing up, but we shall see.

Thank you, Marilyn!

Bubble, as to the bra issue,  :o you got me. I'm afraid I just saw sag and not sex..... :coolsmiley: Says something there I suppose.

Thanks for all the help about figures and blending from you Bubble and from you Phyllis! It went into my little notepad of PSP ruminations. I will definitely check back in on how I did with it. Remember all those years ago when I spent so much time concocting rooms and their inhabitants and had so many issues with perspective? Another one of those I suppose.

The doctors said I do not have three-dimensional sight but two. As I've lived with it all my life, these times are the only ones when I fight it. I also can't do those perspectives of tracks going off into the distance, but hey you can't make a living by it so...

I will do this.

Gloria

I still have not done any PSP so nothing but some old ones to post. Afterall I had to do again after getting the tower back I don''t feel much like doing much at the computer. Still have a bunch of emails to check out.

PHYLLIS  your playing with Jamie looks great. Keep playing.

BUBBLE  didn't know we could go that big now. Last I knew was 600 pix.

PATRICIA  Alien World graphic is part of Monument Valley in Arizona. I like that glass mask frame, too. Yes I did get your email. Thought I replied.

BUBBLE  if I can find that tut for the glass frame again I will send it to you. I was using tuts I have saved since 2011.  Now that we are having some good weather at last I have been spending a lot of time outside. Need that sunshine after more than a week of rain. I like iced kaleidoscope. Acacia, beautiful image, frame and color.

PATRICIA  like your Space except the blue in the lower right frame, the larger one I like better In post #533 like your framing and for me I would have used just the graphic without those men there.

PHYLLIS  all my eye candy plugins were working when I first got this comouter set up. Then nont of them would wotk and got the message had to reinstall, I know I had the key numbers but have no idea where I saved them. Have no tried again to use them since I got the tower back.

BUBBLE  plug ins can be a big pain at times.

PATRICIA  since I moved here 2 years ago I have not been able to do a screen shot, even with the old pc I was using. To me that is something very aggravating because I used to do a lot of them. A dark rainy night. By golly you did get that graphic looking like it was a rainy night.

Dreaming looks like made from rich brocade!
I like the idea of using feathered images for framing. Gives a soft look to it.
