RAMMEL

You mean Olive & Popeye?
It's the WINDMILLS

          THIMK

Marilyne

Come Dasher and Prancer and ? and Vixen.  Come Comet and Cupid and Donder and Blitzen.

angelface555

I know there are eight from the Clement Moore? story. Isn't there a Dancer?

Marilyne

YES, that's the missing one!  I was trying to recite the Clement Moore poem, when Santa Claus calls his Reindeer . . .

Come Dasher, come Dancer, come Prancer and Vixen - come Comet, come Cupid, come Donder and Blitzen.  To the top of the porch to the top of the wall, dash away, dash away, dash away all!

MarsGal

Don't forget Rudolph of the Red Nose.

Amy

Rick....Olive the other reindeer  :2funny:

Marilyne

Here's another one to think about.  Without Googling the answer, can anyone name all Seven Dwarfs, From Snow White? I can only think of three of them. :-\

angelface555

Marilyne

Patricia - Name your six, and one of my three, might be the one you're missing??

angelface555

Grumpy, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, Doc, Bashful, I can't remember them all, but Grumpy was always my favorite. Wouldn't there be a timid one in all those emotions?

Marilyne

Patricia, you did better the I did.  The only three I could remember were Dopey, Doc and Bashful.  So we're still missing one.

MarsGal

RAMMEL

Those with Grands do better than those without  ???
It's the WINDMILLS

          THIMK

Marilyne

MarsGal - I think you guessed the missing Dwarf - Sleepy!

Marilyne

Here's some lyrics from three different Christmas songs. Guess the names of the songs.  One guess per person.

1. "Lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh"

2. "If only in my dreams"

3. "As we dream, by the fire"

angelface555

They all sound very familar but I believe #3 is "Walking in a Winter Wonderland?"

RAMMEL

2. "If only in my dreams" ----- I'll be home for Christmas
It's the WINDMILLS

          THIMK

Marilyne

Patricia and Rick - Both correct!

#2: I'll be Home For Christmas, If only in my dreams. Popular during WW2 years.
#3: Walking in a Winter Wonderland - As we dream, by the fire.

#1, still left to guess - "He has lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh"

angelface555

Thanks to Dean Martin!

Marilyne

Thanks to Bing Crosby for #2.
Thanks to Nat King Cole for #1. (which hasn't been guessed yet!)

angelface555

Marilyne, you have to leave some for folks on other time zones. I was applauding Dean Martin because I remembered his versions of those songs.

Marilyne

#232
Patricia - Dean Martin did have a hit recording of "Winter Wonderland".  Bing was King during the War years, and "I'll Be Home for Christmas", was one of his many hits.
No one is wanting to take a guess on #1?    A huge Christmas hit for Nat King Cole. As soon as it turns 8:00 O'clock here in ten minutes, that song is open to anyone who wants to name it!  That would be 7:00 for you Patricia, and 11:00 for Rick!  Or if neither of you guess it tonight, someone will in the morning.

RAMMEL

I know the song but not the real Title.  ???   Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire.
It's the WINDMILLS

          THIMK

Marilyne

Rick - That's good enough!  That's what most people call it.  The actual title is, The Christmas Song.

angelface555

Bubble is eleven hours ahead of me, and there are one or two others that have daytime when we're asleep, which is why I like to leave some questions overnight.

I still remember Dean Martin's TV show from my teen years and, of course, nowadays on Youtube as are Cole, Sinatra, Williams, Crosby, Davis, and Como.

Thank you Marilyne for these quizes!.

WORD WHEEL

Starting with the "G" at the arrow, see how many everyday words of three or more letters
you can find going clockwise. Don't skip over any letters. For example, if you saw the letters
C, A, R, E, D, you would form five words: CAR, CARE, CARED, ARE, RED. We found 33 words.
