Jeanne, you've really had it with the weather this winter, haven't you.

We've had lots and lots of rain, with lots more on the way this week.  SE Tennessee has been under a flash flood watch for about a week now, and it's still looking like more of the same.  At least it's not snow and ice.

I went back to the internist today - just for a follow-up to my initial visit a month ago.  All looked okay, including the level for my blood-thinner medication.  So I don't have to go back until May.  I still have home health coming twice a week for PT.

While we were out, Margaret took me by the drivers' license office to get my "real" license.  I had about to skip getting one, because I have always used my passport for my flight identification.  But since I needed to change the address on mine, she thought I should go ahead and get it.  I really think my flying days are over, but who knows.

Sharon, glad you're feeling somewhat better - and at least getting some sleep.  Do you know yeet when you'll be moving?  I'm first on the list for a one-bedroom apartment here (when one becomes available).

jane, I hope your eye appointment went well.

alpiner, I hope your daughter is not having any problems with the Oregon flooding.  This weather is just crazy!

Darlene, How's the Texas weather doing?  I remember how crazy it can be in the winter.

Marilyn, I'm sorry to hear you're having back(?) problems.  That's certainly no fun.  And heaven knows your life has been chaotic.  I hope it quiets down soon.

Happy upcoming week to all the Buddies!

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus on the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship has nearly doubled.

Sixty-six more people, including another 11 Americans, have fallen ill on the Princess Cruises cruise ship that is quarantined off the coast of Japan, meaning at least 135 passengers onboard have been diagnosed with coronavirus. At least 20 Americans in total have been diagnosed onboard.

The ship was carrying 2,666 guests and 1,045 crew onboard when it set sail on Jan. 20.

Good morning, Every Buddy.  It's a dreary day here in Auburn--looks like rain is on the way.  I've had breakfast, cleaned up the kitchen, and was waiting for my twice a month cleaning service when I had a phone call from the man who sets up my service.  Randy called to tell me that my cleaning lady has the flu and won't be here today.  Randy is the person who organizes the messages to remind clients when the ladies will be here.  I have bridge club here tomorrow and I will tidy up later this afternoon. I'm going to put the clean sheets back into the linen closet and will be sure to shower before bedtime instead of earlier in the day!

I hope Every Buddy looking in has a good day planned--and good weather, too.  It's already raining here this morning which is not fun for my usual morning walk.  I'm hoping the rain will stop soon.

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.

The area for Quick Reply will no longer come up. This S And F on Desktop is now just not working right at all. It will not come up when I click on the Icon I have on Desktop and so I have to to and type it in again. I have tried signing in again and starting from Start. Won't let me do that either. Just going to shut it of for awhile as have some running around to do and its driving me crazy.  Its O.K on the Ipad.

Getting back in this morning.  I wonder if today will be like yesterday - with the interrupted access.

We're supposed to have severe storms moving through about suppertime tonight.  Hope it's not too bad.

Happy Wednesday, Buddies!

Glad to get in today...couldn't get website to come up at all when I got home from eye doc.  Cataract in left eye making it harder to get me to 20-20, but doc says no rush on surgery...he'll evaluate again next yr.  Eye pressures good, etc.

We're to get below zero for highs tomorrow.

Jeanne...the quick reply box is still here.  Have you tried doing a hard shut down of your ipad?  It sounds as if your desktop is really messed up.   Can you reset to an earlier date?
I think there was a comma missing in that number you saw on the ship...3,700 or so the article Bubble gave said.  Still a lot to be stuck in their rooms...esp if have an inside room, but maybe those are all crew rooms on that ship.

Darlene...I miss some of the restaurants we used to visit, but I wouldn't want to be there without Raymond.  That would really be lonely.  And, it's a long drive for one person with weather worries thrown in, and expensive with 1/2 our income gone. So, I'm quite glad to be here at home.  Nephew and wife are coming tomorrow from WI for the weekend.

Mary...glad all was good at your doc appt. and storms aren't bad.

Sue...lots of flu everywhere...good she canceled and didn't infect you.

Sharon...hope the PT is going better.

I'm hoping for bridge today.

Good morning, Every Buddy.  I've had breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen, but need to get dressed and want to make some cookies to serve when my bridge club gets here.  So I'm just stopping by to say Hello and I'm off to get things organized for bridge.

I hope Every Buddy is feeling well today.  Take care and stay warm if possible!

Hi Gals. I had Therapy this AM, then the adjustor came. Our deductible is $1500, so that's not good. I'm off the oxycontin and just taking tramadol. I still have a lot of pain in my knee though. But am sleeping.

Everyone's weather is ridiculous. Just a roller coaster.

Sue, glad your gal with the flu is staying home. Hope you have a good bridge day.

Jane, good on the eye appt. Nice that the nephew and niece are coming down.

Darlene, sounds like things are progressing well for you. Have fun at the Valentine's dinner.

Mary, good news from the internist.  We still haven't heard from our Independent Living yet. We're first on the list though. I'm not in a big hurry since there is so much to get done before hand. Our weather is wet and windy, just like yours.

Bubble, awful situation with the cruise ship and the coronaflu. So glad we aren't traveling right now.

Marilyn, sorry to hear you are having more back problems. That's chronic for me.  Take care of yourself.

Jeanne, I am so pleased with my HP laptop. If you decide to get a new one, look at those.

Have a good day everyone. Sharon

What a day we are having. so far 4 inch of snow and still coming down heavy. I won't be moving out for a few days.
Sharon. Now I had a laptop computer. Hate them and gave it away. I have my Ipad and got a new W10 desktop last year. Not that happy with W10 but I don't do that much on computer anymore. Friends and Fam don't even use theirs. All have the Apple phones and do everything on those. No body sends Emails anymore. All is Texting. I am no longer into using any of them that much anymore. Use to love Technology but no longer. Its gone crazy.Back to reading more books and other things.
Now don't you have to put your house up for sale before you can move?

VERY cold here this morning and to get colder as the day goes on.  We had snow last night, too, but it's this cold that's the concern.  I'm in for the day, getting ready for my family to arrive tonight for the weekend.

Take care, Buddies!

Good morning, Every Buddy and whoever is looking in.  I have had breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen.  I had a phone call late yesterday afternoon to tell me that the Molly Maids cleaning service will be here sometime this afternoon.  My regular Molly Maid is out with the flu and they will send someone else to clean.  They usually come every 2 weeks and I can keep things tidy until the next time.

It's dark and still dreary here this morning.  I am dressed and ready for my walk, but don't know whether I should go now and leave the door unlocked in case the Molly Maids show up while I am out or not.  Beverly who schedules my appointments with them called yesterday to tell me that the Molly Maid who usually cleans my house is out with the flu.  There is a lot of flu going around here, so I don't know who will be here.

Jane, I hope your family arrives safely and you have a nice visit.  Also hope you aren't snowed in!  We have no snow predicted here this morning, but there is an off chance we'll get a little bit.

Not much else going on here today.  Fortunately I still have library books I haven't read yet, so will spend most of the day reading.  I'm hoping my regular ladies who clean for me won't be too ill with the flu.

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.  Stay warm and away from anyone who is showing flu symptoms!

So just looking at my taxes and looking for anew ira acct.

Good morning, Every Buddy.  I've been up, dressed for library and Kroger shopping with Eddie.  I need to make my grocery list and get some things in for next week's visit from my friends, Colleen and Matt who will be visiting me next weekend.  They've been somewhere Matt was making a presentation.

Not much else going on here today.  If we finish the library visit and Kroger shopping fairly early, I may take Eddie out to lunch.  It will depend on what his schedule is for the rest of the morning.

Have a nice day, Every Buddy--and stay warm if you're having really cold weather!

Hi Gals, this weather is something else. We've had 70's part of this week along with lots of rain but is down to 50's today. They said last night that we have had 9+" of rain since Jan 1 and 14+ since Dec. 1. Needless to say, lots of places have flooding, but not here, thank goodness.

Jane, I heard that Des Moines was going to have-11 degrees today! We seldom get below freezing and that makes me happy.  Enjoy your company this weekend.

Sue, enjoy yours too.  Nice that Molly Maids sent a substitute for the one sick with the flu.

Jeanne, we don't have to sell our house first and will wait until they have a unit for us before we list it.  As to technology, the phones are so little I have trouble typing on them. Much prefer a laptop. Glad I don't live in the Midwest anymore with -4 degrees! and snow! Too old to put up with that anymore.

This afternoon, John is going to take me to the consignment place where I left my gown from Thomas' wedding. It didn't sell so need to pick it up before they donate it.  He bought some filet mignons and some wine and a pie and ice cream for our Valentine's dinner.  He also bought some salmon which I fixed last night.  HT had put their own seasoning on it and it was really good.  I'm trying to do more around the house now. I did most of the laundry this week and am helping more with the cooking. My knee is still very sore, but between Tylenol & Tramadol & ice packs, I'm surviving.

All I can think of now. Have a nice weekend.  Mary, haven't heard from you lately.  Sharon

Guess I haven't posted lately - sorry about that.  It was in the 20s here this morning, but it has turned out to be a gorgeous, sunny day - even if chilly.  I'll take the sunshine.

Margaret and I went to Chattanooga for our financial consultant's annual Valentine's Day luncheon for her widowed clients.  She does this every year at a local tea room.  Three of my buddies from the swim class come to this also, so it was great to have a chance to visit with them (Margaret knows them, too).  And it was a good "ladies' lunch", also.  With all the rain we've had in the last couple of weeks, a lot of the fields were flooded and creeks were over their banks.  The front came through here Wednesday evening, but it was very fast.  There was damage in this community - the roof taken off a local restaurant and a number of trees toppled (some into house roofs).

Sharon, glad your knee is improving - even if slowly.  Your salmon sounds wonderful - always one of my favorites.

Jeanne and jane, I really hate the idea of your bitter cold.  I hope it warms up soon.  I know spring can bring some of the craziest weather.

Sue, enjoy your friends' visit.  I hope you and Eddie had a good shopping trip.

Nothing exciting going on around here for a few days.  My next outing, I guess, will be to the new (to me) cardiologist here, next Thursday.

Happy Weekend to ALL the Buddies!

A chilly -14  this morning, but it's slowly warmed up to 16.  Cold again tonight and then to go into the 30s!  Goofy.

I've made reservations for Don, Patricia and I to meet Gary and Kathy for dinner and then back here for dessert and wine or whatever.

We left any outside stuff until it warms up tomorrow.

i am definitely feeling better today, the rst did me  so good. I spent most of yesterday just  lying down resting. Did eat much had some yogurt and last evening I had a little frozen dinner of  shrimp alfredo. This morning Freckles I have a visit at the nursing home up around the corner from us. I also have to do a Walmart run sometime today.

Thanks to Michael, all has been righted and is available.  Thank you Michael!

Good much warmer Saturday afternoon!  We're having a quiet weekend here, mostly relaxing, though Don did replace my two old battery operated smoke detectors.  One started alarming and he'd just put in new batteries on last trip, so Patricia and I went out and bought two new ones and they're now installed.  He's also replaced some indoor and outdoor lightbulbs, so I'm in great shape! ;D

Hope your Saturday is going as smoothly!

Finely, it is warming up a little here. I got my car thawed out today.. i feel like we are having problems with the Gas Pressure right now. Furnace seems to be slow coming on and when cooking dinner on top of my gas oven the flames where low. Can imagine just how much gas is delivering in town right now when the temp s 3 below. Hurry on Spring
Jane. Did you family drive down O.K ? They pretty much warned people not to be driving on the interstate here from Thursday. All seem O.K today. Quite a few Semi accidents.and cars off the road. People will just now slow down no matter what. And now talking of putting the speed up to 75 mile.

Good morning, Every Buddy.  I am not dressed and am not going to church.  I've had a phone call from a long time Navy friend and she and her significant other are on the road and planning to get here sometime this afternoon.  They will spend the night here and then go on to Atlanta and get off the freeway there to go back to their home.  I'm not sure where that is now! Someplace in the South!

Olyne just came by to take me to SS, but I sent her on as I have no idea when they will get here.  He is making a presentation somewhere and they plan to be here this afternoon and will spend the night.  We are planning to go out to dinner somewhere here in Auburn and then come home and talk a lot!

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
Sue (p.s.  it's raining cats and dogs here this morning!)

SharonE

Hi Gals.  I was going to go to SS today, but didn't sleep well last night, so didn't go. I can't sit for 2 hrs at a time, so was only planning SS. I haven't done much today except for some laundry and reading FALLEN by Baldacci (sp?) It's good but my eyes get tired and then I want to sleep.

Glad the temps are moderatingt or Jeanne & Jane.  Mary, your luncheon sounds nice. Our financial advisor is in Indpls, so we don't get treated.

I may try to get an appt with my urologist tomorrow. I feel like I may be getting another UTI, so I need something done. Of course, he may be closed tomorrow for President's Day.

Marilyn, I'm glad you're feeling better.  We saw a golf cart with what I think was an Australian Shepherd in it. It looked just like Freckles
but 3 times her size. Naturally, I thought of you.

Have a nice week everyone.  Sharon

Hope everybody had a good weekend, and looking forward to a good week. Nothing doing here until an appointment with my new cardiologist here on Thursday.

Nothing going on here, either, except wet weather...a combo of rain/sleet/snow.
NOT lovely.  I went over to the Fitness Center to ride the bike and realized I'd forgotten my Ipad.  My joints weren't happy with this "wintry mix" so I only lasted 10 minutes.  Then on to grocery while I was out and picked up a couple things. It's to get very, very cold again this week.

I did one set of sheets from this weekend, but too lazy to change the bed I slept in. Niece and husband changed theirs for me..the king bed..which I really appreciate.

This afternoon is going to be my rocking-recliner and reading and watching a Netflix's Hart of Dixie episode.

We bought a new car this afternoon . A 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Limited ! The dealer didn't have the red one we wanted , it is coming in tomorrow another town .  I get to drive it to crochet class Wednesday morning !!

Hi Gals. I'm having a hard time getting to sleep so came to the computer. I finished my book and don't have a good one on hand to start.I have another UTI and so had another dr's appt today. So much fun.

Congratulations on the new car, Alpiner. It sounds great and I love red.

Jane, sorry your weather is so bad. Ours is to be wet tomorrow and Wed, I think. Great on the joints.

We had a first today--John made a broccoli cheese soup from a recipe all by himself! One of our SS members had brought it to us a couple weeks ago and we liked it so much, I asked for the recipe. A few days later, the recipe and the ingredients were in our mailbox. John is definitely progressing in his cooking skills which were micro only till I started being sick.  I am so sick of being sick. I do think my knee is getting better, but it's a slow process.

Hope the weather gets better for all of us.  Poor Mississipi is really getting it.

All for now. Have a good Tuesday.  Sharon

Good morning, Sharon and Every Buddy looking in this morning.  I didn't wake up this morning until almost 10:00 and have been slow getting going.  It's foggy and chilly here this morning.  I finally ate my breakfast and am dressed so will go outside to walk shortly.

Tim came by yesterday to go over some paperwork with me and he sent it off to my accountant after we'd decided what needed to be done.  I will have to report to the IRS and he's helping me with that.

I'm planning to stay inside and read after my walk.  I have a tote bag full of library books I checked out on Friday at the library.  I hope every Buddy is feeling well this morning.  Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
