Jeanne, the girls are fraternal twins, different eggs,  Jo is larger than Ellie,  I think Ellie is interested in the instrument but has a different sense of what she likes.  Their looks are similar and hair the same color red.  They play well together.  I will see if James will take a picture of Ellie.

Tom and I went to the doctor today about my leg and he was more interested in the weeping leg that is not weeping today.  The hope is if the swelling goes down and the weeping quits, the pain will leave. Restrictions are behind every door and the Emergency Area was as empty as I've ever seen it.  We went from the doctor's office to Blood Work and work and walked right in.  Hospital personnel do one thing, then wash their hands.  No shaking hands.

Rick, you are right!! Wouldn't this photo make a great painting?

Does anyone remember "Al Hirschfeld" and the name "NINA"(his daughter)which he hid in his drawings? After his signature he would put the number of times NINA was in the drawing. Many would try yo find the NINAs almpst like solving a puzzle. I believe the NY Times (and probably others) had his drawings.

I remember his drawings, but I must have been younger as I do not remember the part about his daughter. Thanks for reminding us!

...such lovely photos with so many happy memories for our members who have - had met them in person..

I am putting a caption to Eloise's " i caught a fish, it was this big, honest i'm telling you, it was this big..."

Bubble...
...maybe a new photo competition, putting a caption to it, i am sure we had one going several years back...

Mary Ann

What fun to see those old pictures.  Even though I did not go to any bashes I did see enough pictures that I recognized enough pictures to know  the people in them.  Let 's have more.

Mary Ann - Here's one for you!

Norm and Dot when I first met them.

Beverley. Great to look back at these photos.  Helona and I must have heard a good joke. She was such good company.
Yes that was a good caption, wish I could remember what it was that was
'That long''
Must go back and look at photos again.

Beverley. The one of Norm and Dot is just as I remember them when we met them in Grand Rapidsfor lunch.  Pat Scott and her dog Georgie were there too.

Rammel - Oscar Dorr! Such a nice man.

Shirley

What fun to see them all again! I never got to any of the bashes but Bunny & Doris (and spouses) came to Sedalia when I was there, and Lloyd brought his mother & son that same day, along with my family, had lunch at Golden Corral. So nice to meet them all. Thanks for sharing the photos, everyone!

Junee...
...re, my caption, not to worry, it was a long time ago but, it may come back to you what Eloise was talking about...anyway what is important was you all enjoyed your precious time together, in each others company..and more so the happy and lingering memories that you are now sharing with us..

Rammel...
... not a name ( Oscar Dorr ) i am familiar with since my ten years on our S & F's forum site..

What is touching me the most is seeing all these happy and smiling photos of " what once was. "

Vanilla, anyone can do that here, if they have a photo.  I am willing to post it if need be.

The new "who is" is not getting much participation...

... we are needing all the distractions we can get...let us bring back those good and happy moments ( our photos of past and present members ) and if we can enjoy a piece of fun along the way with the odd caption, so be it...

Oscar was an old-time friend who, along with Dave, who was a bit acerbic, helped with my computer concerns. Oscar was also the one who downloaded Linux on a disc for me to see if I'd like to try it.

Dave and Oscar, Jerry from the Netherlands, and Den with PSP were some of the first to guide me through my first forums and my first computer. I'll always be grateful to them.

In Thailand too, Corona is active and now there is a shut down of all work places, shops and eateries.
Life is at a stand still and my son Tany moved from Bangkok to a safer smaller place.
He said: good time for relaxing and listen to music .

Bubble, the funny part of it is I emailed you at 7:36 am after finding those words........yet I was still trying to find my reading glasses at 10:30!! Put them down and laid a cloth down covering them. The joys of hide and go seek!!!

Love the photos and would thoroughly enjoy horseback riding o the beach!

Bubble - I'm glad he left Bangkok for a safer place. Being near the beach is relaxing and calming......Helps to put some worries behind.

My girls will be in self-quarantine till April 6. They are SO happy to be in their own homes.

Oscar Dorr and his wife Lorra were a nice couple.  A little story about them.....They lived in Punta Gorda, Florida when the three hurricanes hit Florida one year. The first one made a direct hit on Punta Gorda and the wind was so great it nearly blew the front door of his condo in. When the next one came along they decided to head for a hotel in Orlando. Would you believe the hurricane changed course and hit Orlando! When the third one was on its way they drove to Ocala, about 20 miles north of us  to wait it out.  They called to ask us to join them for dinner in Ocala. We live in north central Florida. We had previously met them at a bash.

Oscar passed away after years of fighting cancer.

Angel. Those 5 men helped me. Lot also when first learning. Now Jerry in the Netherlands and his wife became very good email friends .she sent me some of her lacework. Lasted for a few years and then
I lost track of them. I was going to stop and see them on my way to UK but then hi ear that she was sick and not heard since. Tried snail mail to their son net door to them but not heard. Few years now.
Bad tornadoes for here by 10:30 and wind now really getting strong
This is all we need as the 2 big hospitals just treating in big tents outside.
