Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Glad you are home safely after such a splendid adventure, MaryZ.  Yes, Becky and Emily did Kentuck Knob and Falling Water as a day trip, which is not all that hard from here.

I plan to email you a double photo Melissa, the granddaughter we visited in Easton yesterday, put together of her youngest, Miles, and her father, Greg.  Never in all of my 87 years have I seen a child who looked so exactly, I mean EXACTLY, like his grandfather!  Genetics are fascinating.  Each child is a complete throw of the dice as to how the genes will mix.

SharonE

Wow, everyone is really busy!  Mary Page, you had a lovely visit in spite of the rain.  So nice the gals got to tour the FLW homes.

Jane, windows open in 50 deg. weather???!!! I guess you do need turtlenecks.  I know what you mean about doctors and their care of open wounds.  Ms Frances had 2 different falls about 4 or 5 yrs ago and they treated them totally differently. Have a safe trip.

Mary, I'm so glad you had a good trip and are at home safe and sound.  The pamper day sounds good.

Marilyn, hope they got you in one stick and that you had a nice visit at the hospital.

Jane, Sue is having trouble accessing BB and needs your help. She says it won't accept her pasword.  She said she would try to sort it out with you when she gets home.

I've been the grocery and put everything away and am beat now.  Pain appt tomorrow.

BTW, I fixed the best pork tenderloin last night. I coated it with honey and then dijon mustard & roasted it on an open pan at 425 for about 45 mins. It was juicy and very tasty. I usually have trouble with pork being too dry.  All for now.  Sharon

I don't think the rain is ever going to leave this area. Storms again today and every day past week. Say same for all weekend and later.  Still not gotten the Plumber under the house. To wet. So suppose another high water bill this month.

Jane. I am sure your husband has been checked for Diab. I know that things seem to slow heal if have that.
I don't think you can find 2 doctors even in same big clinics that will say the same thing about anything.  I usually try to talk to one when I am back in the UK. just to tell them what they have people do here for certain.  They are amazed. Specially about all the prescriptions people take.  I am allergic to Sulfur, codeine and Penicillin since a child and have to turn down prescriptions each time one tries to give me one. (Not often take meds). I don't think Dr. know what is in the Meds they write them for.

We'll work on getting Sue back on when she gets home if she can't get in now.

Jeanne....Ray has had diabetes for years...as did all three of his sisters, too, in their later years, so, yes, that makes healing take longer.

MaryPage

I tried to call Sue this morning, twice.  And both times the bling/beep came on and an automated voice said the number was not valid.  I figure I must have written it down wrong, so I came in here to this computer and tried going back, back, back through Sharon's posts to find the correct number, and I could not find that post to save me!  Bummer!

Sharon, the number I wrote down is 324-528-4201.  Please advise if you have any ideas.

ANOTHER rainy day here.  I just cannot BELIEVE this!

so_P_bubble

Look in your mail around the 7th of May or a day or two after.

MaryPage

Oh, I thought it was posted in here.  I delete all of my email as soon as I read it.  My ultra clean housekeeping habits run over into my computer habits, and I just cannot bear piled up email.  So if Sharon emailed it to me, I will have written it down and deleted it.  And then I go into the "Deleted" file and delete it permanently.  But you are most awfully kind to remember that and advise me, Bubble!  Thanks!

MaryPage

Okay, I have sent Sharon an email telling her the number I tried to call.  That seemed to be the sensible thing to do!

Thanks again, Bubble!

SharonE

Mary Page, I haven't been to my email yet, but the prefix is 334. The rest of the # is correct. The first time I sent it out, my tremor was so bad I couldn't read the # I wrote down that Sue gave me. Had to recheck.

We got a little less than an inch of rain last night. Lots of thunder and lightening. We needed it though. Clear today and projected for the weekend and in the low 80's.

I'm off to the pain dr. today. No other plans.  I think we are getting close to the big goodbye to Bunny. She is beginning to lose control of bladder and colon.  So disheartening. We've been trying to convince ourselves it was a misdiagnosis.  She's lost weight also.  Sharon

MaryPage

Once I had the right number, I called several times with no answer.  Just this minute tried again, and a man answered.  He said there was no Sue there!  So I would guess they have moved her to another room with another phone!  Bummer!

so_P_bubble

MaryPage, you tried.  Let's hope she will find a way to soon give news.

Hello Ladies.  In case you don't go to Facebook, her grandson posted there this morning that Sylvia Tribe passed away last night.

Joan, thanks for letting us know about Sylvia.  Her red-print posts were a staple in this group for a long time.  May she rest in peace.

Hi Gals, I just tried Sue's cell phone, but her voice mail box was full and she didn't answer. I will try again later.

I also saw on FB that Sylvia had passed on. I'm glad that she i at peace now.

A beautiful sunny day here, to be 79 or so.

The pain dr think he can help me and will give me the diagnostic nerve block the 27th.

Had a wonderful start to our day today. Jocelyne and Henry called so that Henry could thank us for his graduation gift.  He is officially a PhD of biochemical engineering now.  Their move date was moved up, so they are in full out packing mode!

Nothing much else going on here.  Sharon

MaryPage

I sure hope that nerve block works for you, Sharon.

maryz

I hope you get some relief, Sharon.

Our gorgeous, warm, sunshiny day has turned into a dark, misty, I can't see the Bay Bridges or the Eastern Shore pouring down rain day.  You know, it is all very well to say, with enormous stores of patience, that we really needed the rain.  That is the thing, you see:  we needed the rain.  We no longer need it.  And we sure no longer want it.

Sigh!

On top of all of that, I am down because Becky & Emily are over at BWI preparing to board their plane back to Kansas City.  After having them for a week and a day, I'm going to miss them just one awful lot.

GinnyAnn

Sorry to learn of Sylvia's passing.

We have been feeling sad about losing Doug. Don't think it is easy for parents to lose a child.

My car is drivable so Ray plans to use it tomorrow (Sunday). My friend, Shirley, is picking me up and we are going out for coffee. We will probably do more than coffee but nothing is planned as yet.

Sure hope Sue is doing okay.

SharonE

Thanks for the good thoughts regarding my back. We will see in 2 weeks.

Ginny Ann, I cannot even begin to fathom the grief of losing a child. You're in my prayers. I hope you can find comfort in your faith.  I, too, am worried about Sue. Odd that neither the room phone nor the cell phone picks up.

Mary Page, we're supposed to have some more rain later in the week, but it is bright and sunny and rather cool--71 for a high. I wore a jacket to church.

Not much else to report on here.  I do wish Diane would post. I know her news must not be good though.  Hi to everyone.  Sharon

jane

We're home after a wonderful weekend in Mpls.  Ray, Nephew and niece went to see the musical "Book of Morman" and were not impressed.  Ray said it was loud, psychodelic, lots of energy, lots of the F word over and over, and only one or two numbers that were OK.  I'm glad I'd passed on it and stayed home and slept.  We saw both the boys new homes and had great food and visits.

Off to unpack, shower and relax for the night.

Jane

GinnyAnn

I went out for coffee with my friend Shirley today. We had a lovely chat. She was tired (she also has fibro) so we kept it shorter than usual.

Sure hope that Sue is doing okay. She isn't one to stay down long.

jane

Nothing like a good night's sleep in your own bed back home!

Errands to run today and need to make a grocery store run to stock up on veggies, etc. we let run out when we were going to be gone for the weekend.  I also need to see about getting some flowers planted.  Hopefully the chance of frost is now past...though last weekend was close.  Some thing got nipped up on Mpls.

The sun is out and it looks like it's going to warm up!

Have a good Monday!

Jane

Marilyn

Lots to do this week, starting with today I have laundry going, must go to the bank, got to the car lot to drive the car if it is still there, perhaps buy it. Contact the jeweler to see if he will be in so I can get my bracelet (that my sister in law sent for the wedding,) shortened while I wait. Also have my Tai chi class this afternoon. Tomorrow Freckles and I go to the Library for the children to read to her. The est of tomorrow is clear to the house in order. for all the company that is coming into town, Gilbert and family will sleep here, but Keith's boys  will be here  too, probably sleep at their grandfather's house.

Finally a dazzling day here on the bay.  You can see for miles and miles, with everything clear as a shiny new bell.  Bay waters are sparkling.  Everything is bright blue, blazing green, and flaming yellow.  Love it!  Love it all.  Still gnashing my teeth over the fact that Mary didn't get to see it this way.

Marilyn, I am So excited, and I have to confess, thrilled for myself first and you only second.  I mean, I have Never been a matron of honor before.  Never, ever!  And I am pretty sure I am not expected to give a speech, so it's all good.  When I am not showing my teeth for the photographs, I'll be sinking them into the goodies.  Does a matron of honor rate two pieces of cake?

SharonE

Hi Gals, Beautiful, sunny, cool day here with a light breeze. Downright perfect!

Jane, I'm surprised to hear that about the Mormon show. I would have thought it would be good. Good that you didn't go.  Glad you had a nice time and got home safely.

Mary Page, you're a hoot!  Glad your weather is better.

Marilyn, it sounds like you are a little stressed out, but it is a good stressed.  I can't wait to see a picture of the bride and groom.  I'm so glad this is happening for you and I wish you much happiness now and all the days to come!

Yesterday, after church, I worked with John and selected and put on a thumb drive 100 of his best Holy Land pictures.  After I leave here, I'm going to Shutterfly to try to figure out how to make a nice "album" of them. Wish me luck. I've never done it before.

Since we were still working at dinner time, I asked John to go to the local BBQ place and get take out. It was sooo good.  Of course, the Carolinas are known for their BBQ along with Tennesee of course.  All for now. Sharon

Marilyn

Woo Hoo we are getting the car this afternoon. It is a 2007 Subaru Forrester LL Bean edition, one owner, only 97,000 miles on it.

I am kind of stressed out but not bad. Things really are going smoothly, IK just get frustrated with all there is to do.

MaryPage

That is a really good car;  my daughter Anne has one.  Greg has an Outback.  They both love them, and I have been driven in both many times.  You cannot beat a Subaru.

jane

Marilyn...We've owned Suburu autos in the past, and were happy with them.  It looks perfect for carrying Freckles and getting groceries, and all the other stuff we all need to haul at times.

Overcast now and joints say a weather feont coming through, though apparently the rain may go south of us.

Laundry still going and only got one errand done when my body said "enough!"

Jane
