Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Mary Thanks for asking about my feet. The left, Surgery, still hurts quite a bit at times but not as bad and the right foot, that hurts  like I have a heel spur  rubbing on my shoe at times. During the night when I get up to go  to the bathroom I can barely put that foot on the floor, as the day wears on it doesn't hurt as bad or maybe I get accustomed to the pain.

Freckles gets so excited when I ask her if she wants to go for a walk. She can jump straight up with all four paws off the floor. She sees her harness and sticks her head right in, the same with her coat.

Good to know that all y'all are doing good. My cousin in California has the virus and his wife is on home dialysis. He told me this morning that yesterday was so bad he thought he was going to die.He s only about half way through.

I wore a mask that I had made to the store yesterday & didn't like it .  I wasn't able to get enough air to breathe & had to stop every few steps to catch my breathe .  Also it shifted  & felt as though it might come off .  At check out customers had to bag their own groceries  . I paid for my groceries then finished bagging them  so the next customer could be checked out .    /size]

Jane...think I really messed up my settings on IPad now...cause don't know what I'm doing...I may have clicked on the 2 factor authentication...and don't know ow to turn it off.....so will just keep trying to figure it out...of course can't be around anyone to. Help me....right now.

jane

Darlene...let me see if I can find out how to get rid of that 2 step thing.  I don't use that or the touch thing...or even the passcode to open my IPad, but I know others like those.

jane

In the Security section, click Edit. Locate the Two Factor Authentication section that says the feature is On and click to Turn Off Two Factor Authentication, then click again to verify.
...
For mobile:
Go to Settings.
Tap your Apple ID ➙ Password & Security.
Tap Turn Off Two Factor Authentication.
Tap Continue.

It's beautiful here...sunny and mid 70s.

My daffs finally have some buds.   :smitten:

But, it's not going to last...down to mid 40s and rain.

Stay safe and healthy!

I had a lot to read to catch upm so won't comment on much. I'm glad everyone is well. Jane, you're really an earlybird. They would put me in the funny farm if I showed up at a store at 6 AM.

John woke me at 8:30 this morning to tell me that the first people who looked at our house had met our countered offer, so after all the details are worked out, the house is sold.Closing date is May 28th. Someone send me some Valium!! Still a lot to do, but haven't done much today. Just filled out forms and filled my medicine boxes.  Take  care everyone. Sharon

JeanneP

Sharon

Great, your house must be a great buy as around here selling the mid price homes are selling slow . Down now  30pct.

A 3 mil.  One sold for 1.97 mil. A university prof. Author built. Had been trying for 2 years.
Thing maybe less hectic by end of May.

I didn't see yours on Facebook.

Are you excited about moving?

Good morning, Every Buddy. I've been up and dressed for a while and have finished breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen.  I want to visit some neighbors who have offered to pick up groceries and/or other things I might need, but Tim has been doing that.  I won't enter their home, but will speak to them outside so that I don't infect them or they might infect me.  So far the only symptoms I have are the usual runny nose.  I've bought more Kleenex so that I can wipe my nose!

My plan for the day is to get out to speak to the neighbors who sent me a note and volunteered to go to the store if I need something.  I'm not going inside their home, but would like to thank them for their offer.  Tim has been picking up groceries for me.

I hope Every Buddy is feeling well and have not stuck inside and are able to get outside for some exercise.  I'm planning a short walk soon.

Have a nice day, Every Buddy.

I've decided not to take that apartment. I just don't think I want to spend the rest of my life with only a wall to be seen outside my windows. I'll just wait for the next one to come available.

All is going well here. Folks are pretty much staying in their rooms - just walking in the halls occasionally. That's okay, as long as we stay away from each other and don't congregate. We can even go outside if we like. I won't because this is our peak pollen season, and I don't want to set the allergies off.

Happy Wednesday, Buddies!

Mary...good idea on waiting for a better choice of appt!

Sharon...Hooray on selling the house so fast!

I put on my homemade folded mask ...very simple...two of Ray's old cotton men's handkerchiefs and two large rubber bands.  Elegant, huh! It was very soft, stayed in place, and I could breathe.

I went to grocery store...8-9 is  their special time for 65+.  Too crowded for me, aisles too narrow, etc.  I'll do my shopping at WalMart.

Had a t'storm pass over and now temps to drop.

Big storm here right now.Wind just took down the Ch 4 Radar tower. Twin town lost lots of Elec. I do believe at the moment we are being told something about how we are messing up the world.  Better shut down.
JeanneP

Jeanne, usually each room in an apartment has 1-3 windows. My studio has a block of 3 windows.

Good Thursday (I think it's Thursday!  Talk about all the days being the same! ;D ) morning!  The weatherguesser on TV said today would be cold and windy and stormy.  Uh...it's sunny, 51 and just a bit of a breeze.  DANG!  Now some dark clouds are approaching.   :P

My cleaning lady doesn't come during this virus.  She's afraid of spreading germs and she has a big client list, so I got out the swiffer and did the kitchen floor and the dusting and vacuuming are done as well.   8)

Absolutely nothing else going on here...same as yesterday and probably tomorrow...whatever day that it.   :2funny:

Stay safe and healthy,

Good morning, Every Buddy. Tim and Kris were over here earlier and brought paper work I needed to sign.  On their way home they were dropping it off at the bank's drive up window.  They are staying home most of the time except for some grocery shopping and checking on me.

I hate staying inside, but will put on a bandanna around my mouth and nose and get out for a walk shortly.  I don't like sitting inside with nothing to do except read.  Thank goodness I have a lot of books I enjoy rereading!

I hope Every Buddy is feeling well and is able to get out and about.  Take care, Every Buddy.

Sharon asked me to post this for her

I tried to post yesterday, but couldn't find a post button, so don't think it posted. I spent most of the day on the phone trying to find someone to foster Bunny from May sometime until the virus is over enough that Brian feels safe to drive down to get her and the furniture. My neighbor 2 doors down has agreed to do it, but she has a dog, so don't know how it will work out.  I also put an ad in Next Door and have a woman who has had 2 Lhasas and would be glad to take her. Now I have to call Donna and see if she really thinks it will work out or if I should call the other lady back. She sounded so sweet and had lost her dog  a couple yrs ago and really missed having one. Maybe problem solved.
No other news here. Just more forms to fill out. Inspector coming Monday and appraiser on Wed next week.I have to clean too, Jane. My gal isn't coming for a while either.

I also have to make out a grocery list to be delivered too.  We did get masks yesterday, so would feel a little safer going in, but they aren't charging delivery, only a $5.50 tip for the deliverer.

Mary, I think you made a good decision on the move. I would hate to look at a blank wall too.

I don't remember what others said, so just stay safe & well!  Sharon

I have always enjoyed eating a good meal. I love to eat. Not over weight because meals are small, but right now I am planning in my head what to take out o freezer or cook for the next day. I don't feel like o am depressed or anything like that as life not that much different other than not going places in my car. During the day.

I can feel the weight changing. TOmorrow I aim to walk further. Eat less but the thing is it is supposed to storm again..what I should do is give the house a good cleaning. fat chance of that. I did get my spring clean out done on the pantry today. I always have packed most of the can goods, boxed things not opened. Rice .dried spig.lot of things that got when on sale . Really gets piled up.
I take it all over to the university where there is a big room fixed up so that when students run out of money for food at the end of month they can come and pick up stuff for a few dinners. 3 of mine graduated from there and so done it for Years. Just a habit now.
Thing is, it is all closed down . They are saying that the Univ may just not start up again now until Sept.. THe schools the same if it goes on much longer.
Schools would have been ending May 30 th. And univ. about the same.. Really mess up what deplomas will read.

Not  going to spell check anymore . Just spell like I talk.. .typing as I am laying on the couch. Think I am getting a little bored.

A bright sunny day here...yesterday was like watching a slide show...of all the different kinds of weather.  Really odd, but all passed on to the east and beautiful today...ahead of rain again over the weekend.

I'm going to try and get out for a walk when I finish up here and then I need to wipe out the refrig again.  Unlike Jeanne, I really don't get any pleasure from eating and I don't like to cook.  NOT a good combination. Raymond was the "foodie" here...eating and cooking healthy stuff.

Stay safe and healthy this Good Friday and everyday!

Good morning Buddies....want to wish every a blessed Easter...even though it will be very different...will miss not being with my family...so will be by myself...as many others...Jane do you think Bubbles would be able to help me fix the log in problem...I've tried everything...just want stay logged in...Hi to Mary. Sharon Sue..Marlyin and all others..The weather is nice here..so did walk..Have a great weekend...Darlene

jane

Darlene...I don't know. You're the only one having a problem with the coookies not holding, and that's on your device, not stored here at the server.  I've gone through all the options I can think of...that you downloaded a new update, you cleared your history and third party cookies, etc. You may just need to login when you come here until something in the ipad decides to behave.

I did get my walk in...everything very quiet around...only passed one woman walking and nobody outside.

I have the furnace running again today. Was only 43 when I last looked. Even the sun is out. Crazy weather.

Will say one thing. Seems like the days are going bye faster since this virus began. Maybe it is because I am sleeping longer.I now got to sleep and wake up the same time daily but now 9 hours.  So now it is 2 oclock already. Not done a thing only mess on my desktop.  This i had better stop doing as it is now a W10 which I hate and never have really learned enough on it. So I am clicking on things and getting it a little messed up. For some reason I have never been able to have the Tool bar up at the top and I really miss it.  Looks like you need to have Internet Explorer . I don't have it on here.  Never did use it one W7.

Now I had to sign in again on S nd f today. Seems like once a week it has me do it now. Once in, it is fine for awhile. Doesn't do it on the Ipad. Only takes a second so not bothering about it.

How I would love to go store and get some more Fresh Veg. Other carrots I am out. Not trying on a Friday or weekend. I will call and see if they have a time for Seniors next week. Hope not as early as Jane though. Never make a 6 to 7 am one. I don't like to online order. Just like to walk and buy as I see. Maybe I will take a walk later. Miss driving my car.

My Parrot seems to want more attention since I am home all the time. Wants me to hold the food if I am handing it to him. Also sees me eating and fusses until give it some. Will say though,it is good to have it making some noise as so quiet in the area.
Time to fix dinner.  I managed to skip lunch today...

Sorry about that, and no it is not the same problem, since you can still post. It must be something to do with your own settings, and unfortunately I cannot help there. When you log  in, do you have a check mark on "forever"?

Good morning, Every Buddy--although it is almost noon here in Auburn.  I've had breakfast, read the paper, and cleaned up the kitchen--but nothing else.  I am a slow poke today! I want to get out for my morning walk before it gets too hot.  Last night our weather gal told us that it will be pretty warm here today.

I am trying to avoid seeing/talking to my neighbors.  Most of them are sheltering in place and I see very few of them.  There is a lot of fear of getting the Corona Virus here.  Our local hospital has quite a few cases.  Some seem to be mild, but who knows what that means!

I hope Every Buddy is feeling well and you have no contact with those infected.  Take care, Buddies.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Sue
