Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Good cloud pictures, Shirley.  Nice view,

Shirley

Thanks, Bubble, for resizing & posting!  Thanks for the comments, Amy, Jane & Jean.... I'm still shocked at how sharp the lines were between the types of clouds/colors. We do have amazing clouds with plenty of landscape to view, this time they went away as fast as they showed up, and no damage!

Lloyd Hammond

well Not as bad as I do sometimes. but I am here to bid you all good night and sweet dreams. Hope to see you all tomorrow. Good night.

I recently made this video from photos I took before we moved.  I like living here in the Florida Panhandle and being close to our daughter, but I sure do miss the parks in Ocala.

Lovely Jean, so peaceful!

Amy

Jean, that was so nice.....a little peace /piece of heaven there. I think we all need this at a time like this. Thank you for sharing.

Janie, they are loaded with blossoms and if the pumpkins go as big as the flowers we will need a backhoe to carry them!!

Shirley

Thanks, Sandy for having a look. Jean, that really must be a great place to relax. You picked up the sound of rushing water so perfectly it was like being there. Amy, I had forgotten what the pumpkin blossoms looked like, we only planted them once but your photo reminded me how many blooms showed up!

FlaJean...
... i visually took myself there and walked, in my healthier previous body, not this PP-MS body..What a perfect and tranquil place to be amongst the sounds of the birds, the trickling flowing and sounds from the water stream, the greenery and trees, just as nature intended...a tranquil Japanese garden complete with pebbles...
We all need a piece of calm and tranquillity in our life...if only to take us away from our reality...

Never realised a pumpkin blossom could look so pretty...

Good Afternoon
Everyone !!!

For the first time this Summer,
it is hot and humid here on the
rocky coast of Maine.

My AC is pumping away...
I worry that it will fail
some time as I have used it for
a few Summers..    Hopefully not.

I gave up on the Insta Pot..
As I just didn't need it .
So I gave it to my Grand Daughter
with hopes that she will like it.

Haven't heard.

Have a good day,  Everyone
and stay Covid Free..

Thanks all for your comments.  "Sholom Park is named after Sholom, the grandfather of local developer Sidney Colen, who founded the Park as a gift to all people seeking Peace. Sholom/Shalom also means peace in Hebrew."

Amy, I love pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread.  Do you have one of those pumpkin areas for children to get pumpkins in the fall?  My daughter-in-law used to make the cutest jack o'lanterns for Halloween when the grandchildren were small.

Jackie, I'm praying your decisions will turn out to be good ones.

A Good Sunday HELLO to ALL.

JEAN, that is a delightful video you shared with us from Sholom Park.   My Covid world has me react to many things with tears.....and your video is included in that.  So peaceful with the sound of the water running in the stream and the birds singing😂.  It is a beautiful video. I seem to be so melancholy all the time😘

WOW, what a nice looking pumpkin blossom, AMY.  I can not wait to see the pumpkins when they are ready for harvest😘

Have a good rest of your Sunday.

Jean.
I think that if I moved I think such such a place as Ocala of the area where Jack lives would be my 2 choices.
I guess that you have your daughter close you feel it was worth the move.
I am far away from any of mine. Did think that  I would satisfy my youngest and mover to Texas but I would never be happy there. My Eldest spends most her time traveling with friends all the time. She is the closest to me but yet never there and her interest never been like mine. So I will stay put. Sort of prefer my town. Long as I can keep on living in the house and healthy I will stay.  Fact I bought the cemetery plot a few year back and so looks like that will be for ever now.
Need to try one more time to get over   to England. Was planning this year but doesn't look like it will happen

Loved you video..Made me like I would take a nap. But to late in the day

Doesn't this just tear the heart out of you?
My/adult mask is the green one. The fish and Mickey Mouse are for a 3 year old child!

Masks Amy.jpg

JaneS

I can say first-hand that AMY makes nice comfortable masks and the ones for the kids are perfect.  What better to help keep them on than Disney!

Awkward when little minds get inquisitive as to why mommy do we need to wear these masks..At least if parents make the masks in Disney cartoon characters fun material, the young children will be more eager to wear these if they think it is just a dressing up game to play...It is only us adults who know " that this is not a game "
" There is no present like the time "

Shirley

Amy, love your masks! I've been thinking of how to make one that will stay away from nose & mouth, even considered a jar ring bent to fit above nose. My "heavy" breathing has the mask sucking in & out, laughed when telling my daughter one day that "I was afraid I'd inhale the darn thing"... Haven't found a fabric that will filter and still allow easy breathing, any suggestions? Maybe by the time we come up with "the perfect mask" we won't need to wear them, you think? I have fabric paint to put a smiley face on since everyone looks so serious with them on.

Jackie, you gave me an idea of what might make the 3 year old willing to wear his... a pirate mask! He just crumbles in a heap when they try to get him to keep one on, would rather stay home.

Thanks for posting, Bubble, are you staying safe?

Shirley...
... yes, why frighten our young and innocent children anymore than they need to be...make these masks a fun mask, if only for them, and not us...
" There is no present like the time "

I am safe: I am so careful that I don't remember when I was outside!

One of the favorite masks for kids that are sold here are with the pirate crossed bones on them, announcing: don't talk!   :2funny:

Bubble...
...you have reminded me of an idiom often said by our elders, my parents often talked of " children should be seen and not heard " do you remember being told that...I do...

In other words, we shouldn't be asking questions..I guess in their minds, we as children, didn't need to know..
" There is no present like the time "

Amy

Thank you for the replies on the blossoms. I think one could dip them in batter and fry them up! Not my choice for fear of bugs in them.

Shirley I sent you an email ,one that Bubble sent to me.

I delivered those masks along with more for the rest of the children but the tiny ones made ones eyes leak..

The one fellow said his children were out running around in their Batman and Mickey Mouse masks last night. He lets them play with them on and when they need to wear them they don't mind.

Amy - Love your masks. I have one my daughter made and also have some commercial ones, but not the N-95s. I find the ones you buy leave small gaps on the sides. Like all of you, I will be so glad when this is over!

On the bright side! "Our" twins are 7 months old today.

Beverly  -  They are absolutely adorable!  :smitten:    What are their names?

JeanneP

Our babies never looked like that at 7 months old back in the 50s. It didn't seem like babies sat up that young. Mine did walk early and were Toilet trained by a year. Now they seem to be older when they do that.
Jackie. Now I have not read as to how this virus is in Ireland. Or even in Wales. Is it as bad ad England?
