Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Since we're sharing family photos now, here's a picture of me and my 2-year-old niece on the kiddy carousel at the local amusement park last week :)

Here is a recent taken photo of my grandson Daniel and great grandson Charlie, this is the first time of meeting Charlie, he will soon be age 5...Grandson, never can remember if he is 31 or 32 but both are handsome good looking boys and if Charlie grows as tall as his father, we shall wait and see as grandson Daniel towers over little old me...

Grandson had made a surprise visit after collecting Charlie from home, hence grandson came over straight from work that evening...

Just loving all the recent photos.

I agree, Bubble, your hair style looks great.

Beverly, now I am going to have to look up the Long Trail. The only time I was in Vermont was when I was about 16 and we were only passing through on the way home from a vacation in Maine.you

MIchael, it is nice to finally "meet" you. Your niece's expression and curly hair are precious. Carousels were my very favorite ride, aside from the real pony rides, at the amusement parks. I'd zero in on them. Parents sometimes had a hard time getting me off.

Jackie, Daniel is indeed a handsome lad. It looks like Charlie will grow into a real charmer too.

I love seeing these photos of family members. All these kids are so cute, and intelligent looking too. They don't look naive or shy as most of my generation were at that age...

Yes, Beverly we have these climbing walls here too but mostly outside. Aviv favors trees on the street and even sign posts!

Thanks for liking my hair :) It just natural wave and I mostly cut it myself with the help of the carer,  I'll turn him into a hairdresser too lol

FlaJean

Love all these family photos!

Vanilla-Jackie

Posting grandson and great grandsons photo again, now it is lighter, you should be able to see them better...

Jackie, I think your gr-son looks like you, do you think so? Happy you got to meet the little one.

Michael, I first thought you had MY great grand in your arms. She has those same blue eyes & red hair but is now in kindergarten. I can't tell if your eyes are blue.... are they?  She is a doll & nice to meet you in person, sad we can't see your face, maybe some day!

Bubble, you are right about "naive or shy as most of my generation were at that age..." Not many photos when I was young, except by my oldest brother. He, with help of our father, had a dark room in a walk in closet in the bedroom my sister & I shared. War years & I'm guessing, chemicals were hard to come by. He volunteered in the Air Corp at 17, told our mother he would run away & lie about his age if she didn't sign for him. So she did. This being the anniversary of 9/11, brings back memories of Pearl Harbor, the other "Day of Infamy" as President Roosevelt called it.

Jackie - Your grandson Daniel, is one handsome young man!  His son Charlie is adorable!   I hope you see more of them, now that you live closer.

Beverly

Michael - Nice to "see" you, if only your eyes! Your niece is adorable.

Jackie - Your grandson is a handsome young man and his son is a cutie! Thanks for making it lighter.

Bubble - I agree with Aviv. Tree climbing is a lot more fun. We used to have a big apple tree in the yard that my children climbed on.
As someone with thin, straight hair, I envy you. You and your carer do a great job!  :)

Her name is Amelia. The friend is Rubble, from the TV show Paw Patrol. It's by far her favorite stuffed animal :)

...hmm, not sure Daniel looks like me but, he is a Hathaway..

Marilyne...
...oh i am sure we will see more of each other now i am back home and we are closer in distance, although i am aware his job-business keeps him busy...but this is a start, i will let it unfold as it is meant to unfold, i shan't push it...

Michael...
...i am sure Amelia and Rubble will be life-long friends...I am not familiar with " Paw Patrol " here in UK.

Thank you all for your remarks on their good looks, but i am their gran - great-gran, i am expected to say that...as they say..." a chip off the old block  " maybe... ;)

Shirley

Oh, Beverly, he is SO cute/handsome/real cool dude!  How old is he? My red headed great grandson had his 2nd soccer game this morning, his dad is the coach & a girl cousin about the same age (3) is on the team. But, he decided he didn't want to play, pulled the same stunt last week and no amount of bribery or threats could change his mind. Shades of his grandfather! I couldn't keep from laughing as his gr-father (son, Andy) told me about how it went. When I went through that stage with MY son, my mother laughed and told about my youngest brother being the same. "A child you can lead but not push".... When Andy was in kindergarten he decided he liked to write his name with a little a and capital N... and spelled it aNdy until the last week of school, and without anyone telling him to do so, did it properly, had to be HIS idea and when this gr-gr-son decides to play, he'll give it all his best. In the meantime, parents & gr-parents are beside themselves & old Great Grammy thinks it is a hoot! They even had Carrick's pretty red hair cut real short for the games. Wesley's looks so thick, how old is he?

Michael, where did I see the photo of you when that baby was born?  I know this morning I found myself back in the early days of the site, not sure what was going on but I don't get excited at anything that happens with the computer, eventually it gets back to "normal". It was a good photo of you before masks! It is somewhere hiding in this computer!

Oh, forgot to mention, for the first time EVER I don't have to scroll down to find the Verdana print, was it your doing or an update from the computer this week? Gloria had said when I asked some time ago, which of the prints worked best for her eyes & that is what she chose. I had never used it before, but have ever since. Anyway, thanks if it was something YOU did!

I may have posted it here somewhere before. There are a couple of photos of me with a newborn - one with Amelia and one with her older sister Riley, who is now 4½. Time flies!

Beverly

Amy and Shirley - Thanks!

Shirley - He's four, going on five in December. He was bald for the longest time, then grew that thick curly hair! Cute story about your great-grand. Sounds like he's just not ready for the soccer team.  :)  Is he only three?

Shirley

Beverly, I couldn't believe they were going to start them so young. His sister is about 6 & did really well with her team, not sure if Dad is coaching that one. These 2 red heads are my Andy's grands. All other grandmothers & great grandmother claim the red hair from their side, but I do get credit for orneriness.  :-[  ;)  Do red heads always have curly hair & blue eyes?  My other son has hazel eyes & almost white-blond until nearly school age. It had gotten darker & now gray. Daughter had a full head of black hair & black eyes, hair long enough the GIs taking care of the babies (military hospital in England), brought her in with a big curl & ribbon on top first time I saw her.

Beverly

Shirley - I think they expect too much from pre-schoolers today. (my opinion!) And boys mature slower than girls (a fact!  :)  ) Do I sound like an OLD grandmother?

Oddly enough, Wesley has dark eyes.

My oldest granddaughter was like your daughter, born with a mop of black hair and dark eyes.

FlaJean

Beverly, love the photo of the "cool dude".

Vanilla-Jackie

Original and ingenious but not my cup of tea as i cant watch double jointed'nes, it turns my stomach, no pun intended..

"Our" twins
Taken over a month ago. They're 8 months old and crawling now.

Shirley

Oh, they are so cute, Beverly!  Do you notice characteristics that are very different?  My twin aunts were "mirror" twins, one right & other left handed. One was the dreamer & could always tell which she was in photos, looked off into space while the other looked directly into the camera. All their lives the same & showed the same trait living. One fun loving & the other serious & direct. I wanted twins SO badly. My brother had twin grandsons. Thanks for the photo, love seeing them grow.

Got to watch most of the first link, Bubble. Sometimes my internet can pull them up but if I have to wait long I give up. Thanks for the links. Is it cooling down at all over there?  I had the door open to let cats in & out while ago and it has cooled down nicely. I think we have had the worst of the heat for this summer.

Beverly...
...well seeing this pair of cuties has managed to put a big smile on my face after listening to our UK's BBC news at 6.am..

Ha ha, i can just see the caption " now we are crawling, we will show you what mischief we pair can get up to."
Do you think they are thinking..." what can we get away with."
" There is no present like the time "

FlaJean

Beverly, how precious!  They look so happy and contented.

Shirley

Tonight my grandson, his wife & their 3 kids came to feed the fish in the river behind my house. They really were impressed with how many and how HUGE they are. My weeds, river & willows right in the heart of Wichita. My daughter-in-law took the photos with her phone so this time I'm the one that got caught on camera, I forgot my camera!

Shirley

Oops, I thought that was the right size. Sorry, guess I should have sent it to Bubble after all.  :-[  Been a busy day & I am ready for bed.
