HAPPY day after THANKSGIVING to all.

We had a delightful TG with Dr. Dave's Family in Vail.  Michele ordered a wonderful meal from Whole Foods that we picked up here in our area and drove it up to Vail.  Dave did all of the preparing the dishes and our meal was delicious.  Michele is not feeling very well, as she is having some bad effects from the new chemo pills, but as always she did her best to partake in the festivities.  Dave took the kiddos skiing this morning so we enjoyed some quiet time with Michele before heading back to Denver.

Happy to read the posts telling what each of you did yesterday. 
There were some special times for sure. 

LLOYD, I am sorry to read about your younger brother.

I am going to say goodnight....always tired after a wonderful time spent with family.

Possibility of rain here what snow we had is going. Work around the home today  and will try to get some baking done. Not doing a lot this year as we won't be seeing a lot of family.

Jenny, maybe Michele's body just needs to get use to the new meds. Must admit that is the best kind of tired.

Good Morning!  With all this Christmas décor, I felt obligated to post in RED today! 

Mickie and I have had breakfast and our walk.  She slid off the bed early this morning.  I try to note where she is all the time but this time she got too close to the edge and when she moved, she slid off.  I've taken to putting all the extra pillows on the floor on that side of the bed and I'm sure it helped but she's limping a bit this morning.  She did make the long walk that we usually do in the morning and I think it might have helped.

LLOYD, I forgot to say that I said a prayer as soon as I read about your brother.  That's a hard thing to happen these days with no on being allowed in to be near him!  I'm sending more prayers his way!

I'm going off to the recycling pretty soon.  I have the stuff in the car already and that makes my office cleaner.

Then I'm going to tear the house apart until I find Emma's Christmas present.  So if you hear that some kind of protesters ransacked a house in Pennsylvania, it was just me!  Don't call the cops!

I hope you all have a good day, better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.  Stay safe!  Wear a mask! Wash your hands!

I'm hoping your brother is doing better today, Lloyd.  It is amazing how much stroke patients can recover with medicine and physical therapy that is available these days.  Keep your spirits up!

All is well here today.  A little cloudy and a little chilly but supposed to be clearer and warmer later this afternoon.

Good morning everyone. I sure slept enough last night to make up for the busy day  Thursday. Yvette was here yesterday so did not rest at all. I was having my coffee when my son came for his Saturday visit.

MICHAEL-OLDIESMAN  thought  I was seeing things when I saw  the Christmas background, thank you for the  cheer.

Sorry I am not  up to posting, slept too long and it is hard to sit here. Think I should go out side and walk around to loosen my back up. This is when I wish I moved in my sleep.

I have just finished cooking lean ground beef along with peas and carrots...........for the dogs. Jesse turned 2 today and this will be his special supper tonight. Now just how many people do this for their pets?

Oh My !!!   How special to come here and see that wonderful Christmas background.  Thank you , Michael for taking time to cheer us all up.  I think we all need a little cheer right about now.

Sounds like everyone had a nice Thanksgiving day.  My dinner was good, and I really didn't mind being alone.  There was plenty of food with lots of leftovers.  I have enough for another meal tonight.

Yesterday, Friday, was a mixed up day. I had to go for blood work and when I got there, I had forgotten to take the order with me.  Since I only live less than 10 min. away, my DIL came back to my place to get the order.  Then, I stopped at the bank ATM. which is right across the road from the lab, and I couldn't remember my PIN number,  I pushed all different numbers, but just couldn't come up with it.  I keep it written down at home, but forgot to remind myself beforehand. So, I came home, at lunch and slept all afternoon. Now today seems like another "Sunday".   Hard enough keeping tract of the days when it is just a normal week.

It is a pretty sunny day, but it must be chilly, as I was so cold I had to turn the thermostat up.

I need to get a little bit of lunch. and then will read for a while.

Have a nice rest of the afternoon and stay safe.

LaZy morning here today.  We fixed Eggs Benedict for TGing breakfast and sadly it did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, but we did a repeat this morning just for us and it turned out GREAT.

We just had a nice FaceTime visit with our California Boy....he was in the back yard playing in his play pool...it looks gorgeous there....mid 70's!  So pretty.

Jenny, there was a time I didn't think we would get to this. He has settle down somewhat.....but still a pup at heart and loves to lay on my lap in the evening.......all 90 lbs of him!!

Amy, I forgot that I cooked veggies for our German Shepherd pup all those years ago. We took care of her sister for a week when they were about 6 months old and the sister had an infection from "too much protein & not enough veggies in her diet." (What the vet said.) Since our kids were little at the time I cooked them a lot of veggies so when "sister's" parents got back the pup was just fine. Too bad cats aren't as agreeable about eating. 

Went out to start the generator on the motorhome but "house" battery totally dead. Have had to buy a new one nearly every year since owning... one year we got it in before the year was up & they replaced!  Anyway, Andy had one of the old batteries to trade in (core) & brought over a new one, installed & I ran the generator for an hour to make sure it was all lubed up for the rest of the winter. I try to run in once a month to keep it from "gunking up".  That's a techie word, you know. 

Got to get around to buying a For Sale sign to put in the back window, from what I hear they are selling like hotcakes this year. I won't put it on a dealer's lot to let people mess with it or even drive... I will hopefully have an individual stop by and realize what a good deal it is! Actually, it is, as everything from roof to tires is/are new & all in between has been repaired or replaced that needed be. Sure didn't come from the factory in this good of shape! I know it isn't doing me any good when I can't take off as much as I'd like... the old lady is not in the best shape anymore.

I won't go if I have to stay in motels/hotels so I will be grounded until/unless car factories decide to build those conversion vans again. Such is life, but it's been a good one. My sister & sister-in-law have invited me to stay with them but not something I like doing so ... and for sure couldn't with the cats. If I want to go to MO for funerals one of my sons will drive me & we'll do it in one day. I hope to get one more trip to MO in the RV, though...

That's all the news from central Kansas. Neighbors putting up Christmas decorations today, I will put up some lights & garland on the light fixture on the porch.... and I have a little Christmas village I always put out.

Extra hug for Mickie & hope you find that missing gift, Jane. You know it will be where you looked a dozen times ... I spend half my life looking for things. 

Hi Everyfriend!  I didn't find Emma's present yet but Frankie and I have agreed that I will find it....the day after I mail their package!

I've sure made some progress getting thing organized around here, though.  I've cleaned out some places that haven't been cleaned out since I moved in here and in the case of the end tables, maybe before I moved here.

None of this has been easy on my back.  I've had to stop and do the exercises that the  Kinesiologist and the Orthopedist gave me over the years.  It help with the soreness from bending over and lifting!

I have to make a quick trip to the Farmers Market tomorrow morning and I have to do it before Frankie comes with Cooper because she might need to use my car to get to work tomorrow.  So I'll have to be up and attem early.  I think they open at 9 and I'll be there and home by 9:30 so my car will be available if she needs it.

My other plan for tomorrow is to get the rest of the candy packed and ready to go and the boxes packed for Texas and Oklahoma!  It's all about half done!

I moved the bed up against the wall and I have one of those long pillows blocking the small crack between the bed and the wall.  Now there's no way Mickie can fall out.  We do what we must for our fur kids and I'm not taking any more chances. She's still limping pretty badly but she does the outside steps and does her two-stage leap onto the couch to sit with me.  I really don't know what to do for her but if she's still limping badly on Monday, I'm going to call the vet!

Now, I'm heading for the haystack and I sure hope it's loaded with zzzzzs because I'm all in but my shoestrings and that's bad because I don't have any shoestring!

I hope you all sleep peacefully and that tomorrow is a better day than today but not as good as the next one!  Each one must get better! And may God bless us, every one.

Jane, do you think Mickie is faking the limp to get extra sympathy?  I know we've had fur babies that get the drift and when we sound like we are full of pity they play it to the hilt. Do hope she isn't hurt bad, maybe just a little sore?  Cuddles on a warm lap always helps.... if you ever have time to SIT? 

This was not a good night for sleeping, maybe eat & go back to bed.

Chilling morning starting out 28° at the moment. snow maybe tomorrow.

Both dogs loved the birthday meal and there was lots leftover for today . Not sure what today will bring, nothing is planned after I pick up a few groceries. Stores are not as crowded at 8 am and one can zip in ,zoom around and get out in jig time. After that the day may drift anyway it wants. Maybe some sewing??

Shirley, my friend would cook up a thin hamburg patty each day for his dog. Ours love brussel sprouts or any vegetable. one will eat them any way, Babe like her carrots cooked.

Jane when you made Emma gift did you put it back in with your knitting yarn?

Better put an egg in my boot and beat it..

Good morning everyone, slept late this morning but nothing to do or anyplace to go so that ws OK. My son stayed longer than he usually does on a Saturday morning. He usually has a lot of errands in the morning. I sure enjoyed his visit. I spent most of the afternoon sleeping but woke in time for my daily Skype visit.

AMY  you sure feed your hairy babies better than some people eat.

JOY  I get messed up when we have a holiday in mid-week. Glad I am not the only one.

JENNY  sun is shining here this morning, first time in 5 days the sun is shining.

SHIRLEY I was surprised to see so many Christmas decorations up when we went to my grandson's Thursday. Even my grandson has the house decorated inside but they hadn't gone to cut a tree down yet.

JANE  you have been doing way too much, no wonder it got to your back. All the candy making would have been enough. I used to enjoy that and the cookie baking all the years I did it. At least I have the memories of what I can no longer do.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  The sun is shining here, too and it started early!  But there was heavy frost on the ground and the car windows were frosted over.  It was only 34 when I got up!

SHIRLEY, I don't think Mickie is faking.  She is also deaf as a door nail and she can't hear the concern in my voice.  And when she squats to weewee, she doesn't bend her right back leg.  Also, she never lacks for cuddles.  I do find time to SIT!

I got my wreath for the side of the house outside and my son will be over sometime today to help me hang it up.  At least I can look a little like Christmas.  The wreaths I bought yesterday are on the front and back door (everyone who comes here uses the back door).  I have two boxes of Christmas decorations sitting in my hall and office but I can't get to that until the candy is done!

I hope you are all having a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Lloyd, the new Christmas site is beautiful, and everything is on there just like it used to be, only lovelier.

Didn't take me long to put the day in. The neighbour brought Rex over and I cut Rex's nails for him. I am not sure how many winters left in Rex, he is such a sweet dog and so easy to work with. Going to be a sad day all round when he goes.

Managed to get 2 pans of squares done and will cut and put them away for later.

Jane, do you have a wee step that Mickie can use to get up on/off the bed? Kyle built on for Golden Girl but now these two use it.

well I had a ease day and even got in a good nap. when i went grocery shopping Friday I bought one of those spiral cut hams, Nancy cooked a sweet potato  in the Microwave with Marshmallows melted on them heated some corn and green beans. ease meal for both of us. well I have had my shot and evening pills so to bed I go hope to see you all tomorrow. good night and sweet dreams.

Not sure when the snow will start but will get things in order so as to not get caught short.

Gum drop cakes may be done today  and that job is done. Last year a lot of cakes and loaves were done but this year will be different.

Gloria, we don't say our dogs are spoiled....just well loved!!

Snow for you, Amy, and rain, rain, rain for me.  Rained all night but, at least, I don't have to shovel it.  David was smart enough to cover the car so hopefully there will be no leak in it.

It will be a different Christmas for us, too.  I won't be making any kind of candy or baking any kind of cookies or Christmas bread this year.  I am seriously considering ordering our Christmas dinner from Wegman's this year.  I've heard that it is pretty good.  I managed to cut up, portion, and freeze all of the left-over ham from the 9 lb. Thanksgiving ham we had but it was almost more than I could handle.  So, I think that is the last time I will try to do any holiday cooking.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  The skies are pouring on us here in Central PA and it's a chilling rain!  When Mickie and I took our walk, she was glad to turn around and come home after a short one. 

AMY, I found the sweater in a box that was under my bed before they did the floors.  And there were other things in there that I planned to use for Christmas gifts.  I took it out, held it to my cheek and cheered....and then I cried!

Now I have to get a couple things to go with it and my package is ready for Oklahoma!

Now I better get busy.  I actually have to go out in this mess!  I'm not happy about that but....Oh, well!

Try to have a good day!  Better ones are coming.  I feel it in my bones!
