I found Tim's phone # and called. Had to leave a message and my #. I hope to hear from him sometime today.  Sharon

I was sent the results of the tests I had done on Tuesday in an email . Another test , its called a stereotactic biopsy .  It seems to be the same as the one I had last summer & a titanium chip was put in .  At that time all that was found was fiberous tissue . I hope that is all that is found this time too .

maryz

I hope so, too, alpiner!  Keep us posted, please.

Sharon, thanks for check with Sue's son.  I hope you or jane hears back something soon.

Margaret picked me up this morning, and we headed to Woodstock, GA, for a wedding shower for Matt and Claire.  It was a nice afternoon.  Matt was there, too, and did very well for a groom in a room with his fiancée's friends.  I got back home just before the dining room closed and was able to get some soup and a sandwich.  The wedding is in three weeks.  Nothing special planned for tomorrow.

Happy weekend, Buddies!

Then the Prince lifted her up in front of him on his white horse and galloped off to the palace on the hilltop, where they lived happily ever after!

Woo hoo!

Happy, happy ever after to our beautiful blushing bride!            Bring on the bubbly:

               TO MARILYN and KEITH!

CONGRATULATIONS, MARILYN AND KEITH.

It's a beautiful morning here, and we've gotten a walk in through the park and by the river...calm and peaceful.  It was neat to see a young couple with two small children and "Mom" was taking pictures of the kids in the park.

Lots of graduation parties the next couple of weeks.  Our local high school has graduation today and another did so last Wednesday so lots of teens on the roads, racing from one
Party to another all over the county.  The kids are distracted, and it's just safer to stay off the highways on the weekends!

I'm on the back porch and anticipate not moving much from here today.

Best wishes for many more happy days ahead, Marilyn and Keith!!!

BEST WISHES TO MARILYN & KEITH!!

I hope everything went well and that you enjoyed family being there.  Are you going to have a honeymoon?  Anyway, enjoy your happiness.

I have not heard from Tim yet. I can't believe he hasn't returned my call unless they just don't check their land line messages.

Mary, you have a wonderful event to anticipate. I know that Matt is special to you. Is he the youngest grandson?  Glad you were able to make it to the shower.

Joc and Henry are now in Minneapolis!  They close on the house tomorrow and then will move in immediately. They drove up with a friend driving a moving truck for them on Thursday because they needed to sign something on Friday, so did it all at once.  A big time for them with their first home, Henry's new big job, and of course little Harrison.

The sun is actually shining today. We've gotten about 2" of rain in the past few days and I'm tired of the drearies. The temps are supposed to climb up into the 80's for the rest of the week.

John left before 7:00 to go to Greenville, SC for a team tournament. His Chinese friend accompanied him. He will be back by 7ish tonight.  I went on to church and SS and then stopped at the new WalMart market near church.  I needed a couple things and also wanted to buy some stuff for the care center as next week is our church's turn to donate.

Since I got home and ate, I've cleaned the kitchen, run the DW and put in a load of laundry, but I think I'm ready to relax now.  Have a nice day. Sharon

Just wanted to tell Marilyn and her new hubby.  Congratulations and wish then happiness...Darlene

Sharon, congrats to your Joc and Henry.  I hope all goes well in their new location.  Matt is Margaret's oldest (Jesse is the younger brother).  Matt's the third grandchild - after Sue's Alison and Paul.  (I know it takes a scorecard to keep track of them.  LOL) But he's the second one to marry.

Just wait until they start to Marry and then have Children who have Children. You will never remember who is who. Or birthdays are the worse things to keep check on.

I don't have any problem with mine!  I can reel off every one of my 8 children and 13 grandchildren.  Also the 26 great grandchildren, though I do have to count with my fingers to figure out the year some of these were born, I remember every month and day.

Itching to hear about Marilyn's day, albeit I don't expect to real soon.  Itching to hear SOMEthing of Sue.

So does Margaret just have the 2 boys, Mary?  And Sue has the 1 boy and the wonderful Alison?  How about your other two daughters?

Oh, Sharon!  Minneapolis is so far away for you to see and enjoy little Harrison.  Oh well, Facebook is so rewarding in that department.  Just think how deeply folks used to yearn for their grandchildren in the old times.

Here's wishing a long and happy union for Marilyn and Keith.

Jeanne - I definitely know how that goes!  No great-grands on the radar at this point.

MaryPage - the line-up is like this - with our daughters listed by age:

Sue - children Alison (33), Paul (31), Sarah (27)
Margaret - Matt (29), Jesse (27)
Kate - Andy (27)
Jean - none

It was a busy six years.  In 1986-87, all three were pregnant at the same time, with Jesse in September, Andy in January, and Sarah in March.  Then that was the end.

MaryZ.  But when the grands start coming it seems like it is Bang, Bang for awhile.  I just had 2 girls. For the Eldest she had to wait until daughter 34 before she had a boy and then twins. Her son now in 40s but not married. Not interested in doing it. The rest are Texas. 3 grandsons and now 6 Great grands there.  But all over. No more now for a long time. I will not  see any more.

Marilyn, you looked radiant!  And you and Keith make a handsome couple.  Glad you could get photos with all the family, too.

MaryPage

Marilyn, you are very beautiful and you were a lovely, lovely bride!  I was so pleased and proud to be your Matron of Honor, and really, it was no trouble at all!  I didn't even have to stand in line at BWI!

SharonE

What a lovely wedding, Marilyn. So happy for you both.  Were the flowers from your garden?  They were so pretty.

The guy came to pressure wash the house at 8:45 this morning!  He's a young fire fighter who does it in his off time. He did a good job. His price was so much lower than others, we gave him extra.

I called Tim again last night, but still no word.  Sharon

jane

Marilyn....Great photos and wonderful memories to have!

Sharon....those young firefighters do good work, I think.  Our cops do that kind of work in their off hours, too, and they do a great job.  Thanks for trying Tim again.  I've had no word, either, from Kris and I hope we all hear soon that Sue's home or in a rehab where she can connect with us all again.

Beautiful morning here, and I need to get out and walk.  We're to have rain everyday for the next several, so I need to get the sandals on and be on my way.  Ray's headed to the golf course.

Jane

Marilyn

The flowers came from  the different church members gardens, everyone had a part in the wedding.

Perseverance pays off!  Sue just called me. Tim was with her and I'm sure asked her to.  She is in a new rehab hospital getting physical and occupational therapy. She has a compacted (maybe compressed)nerve in her back which is causing foot drop and she is having to learn to walk and handle that. She will be in the rehab hospital for 2 more weeks for sure. She is having to wear a foot brace and use a walker. She was a little confused on some of the details, but she got teary when I told her everyone was worried about her and said to tell you how much she appreciated your thoughts and prayers.

Marilyn, I told her that you had gotten married and she was so pleased to hear that and asked me to tell you that she wishes you much happiness.

I feel so much better after having talked with both her and Tim and asked Tim to have her call me occasionally with updates.  I had really gotten myself into a major worry upset, so now I can relax.  Sharon

Marilyne

Sharon - Thank you for posting the update on Sue. I've been checking in here every day, in hopes of hearing some good news about her progress.  She posted often in the Library Bookshelf discussion, so we've missed her there as well. I'd like to send her a card, so if you have the address of the rehab hospital, please post it here . . . or my email is available by clicking on my name. :)

MaryPage

So I gather there is no computer access?  Sue does not own a tablet or smart phone?  Not that I took my iPad to hospital with me, but I was only in there for 2 nights, and if those had turned into weeks, I would have had Chip bring mine to me on a daily basis, as I would have gone nuts otherwise.

So good of you to persevere in your quest, Sharon, and thanks so much for sharing.  I am horrified at Sue's accident having caused so very much of a long term issue for her.  Did the accident cause the problem foot, or did the problem foot appear and cause the accident?  The way things have turned out makes me wonder.

Sharon, thanks so much for getting word to us about Sue.  I know how much I'd appreciate knowing that friends were worrying and caring.  I hate that she's having so much trouble.

I had my usual busy Monday.  The cards at bridge were all over the lot - had one or two 16-20 point hands, but much more in the 3-7 point range.

We due to move into summer weather this week - temperatures in the upper 80s to 90, with high humidity.  Yuck! - I'll be staying in the AC a lot.

SharonE

Marilyne, I'm sorry, she didn't give me the name of the hospital or the address there.

MP, she also had a fall a few days after she entered the hopital & I think that is what injured the nerve and caused the foot drop.  They think she will eventually conquer it though.  I guess that this is a lesson to us all to take care of ourselves and not to climb!!!  Sue has a Kindle but no Ipad or smartphone.  She really isn't that much into techno things.  I do hope she will call occasionally and let us know how she's doing.  Sharon

jane

Sharon....thank heavens you've heard from Sue.  It sounds as if she'll have a lot of rehab to get her back on track.
