Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

From Shirley

The tiger lilies I've planted are
up & spread almost the whole distance across "my" space. The forsythia
is starting to bloom & daffodils are blooming

Shirley

Thank you, Bubble, for posting the photos. You made them much brighter & sharper than what I sent. The daffodils are the miniature type, hardly as tall as the weeds around so I pinch them off & bring them in for my window sill by the kitchen sink (little, tiny teacup full). I forgot to send you the wide angle shot of the river bank with tiger lily leaves showing all across the area. It is supposed to rain again this week end so may go under water as the river is already full. Thanks again for resizing & posting. You've shown us spring flowers in your area before, are they blooming yet?

Amy

Thank you both! Our flowers are under a blanket of snow yet :(

Lovely Shirley! Here it is minus 21 and we're blanketed in snow!

FlaJean

Lovely, Shirley.  I noticed today that our pink and white azaleas are starting to bloom.  We've been having beautiful weather in the 70s and, lo and behold, today was in the 50s.  What's going on with our crazy weather.

so_P_bubble

Shirley I haven't been out for a long time, so I don't know about the flowers.  I am being extra careful because there are so many people going around without masks, they don't bother about others apparently.
But spring is getting here: I see many birds returning from their winter migration and calling out loud from the tree in front of my big window.

By the way I did nothing to your photos except resizing: they were perfect.

Shirley

Many thanks, Bubble & all that visited to view! I've been busy cleaning up a huge mess in the basement unfinished part where some of the "work out equipment" sits, along with boxes & boxes that brought too many appliances & other things I probably didn't need. What a mess. #1 son came over to pump water out of the pool because water was sitting on top of the cover. When he went down to get the pump a squirt of water hit him in the face so he started checking & found water all over the floor & boxes sitting in that area. Copper pipe from hot water heater was the cause & those earthquakes we've been having shifted things enough to "stress the pipe". He fixed the pipe & we hauled out lots of wet boxes for the trash, not sure how many bags plus dumpster & big rolling cart full. All done & I am bushed but need to make a trip to the mailbox to put in all my checks for utilities. Got a fan & de-humidifier running so have to check that before it over flows! Thanks to all..... and do hope you can get out more, Bubble, I enjoy the photos you show us.

Here is a screengrab of the Arctic cam just three blocks from me. Taken this morning just a few moments ago,  shows how much snow we still have.

Who won?  I haven't a newspaper yet this morning.  And I don't turn on TV until 5:00 o'clock news!  LOL.

Aviv is such a beautiful young man!  Bet he hopes you don't put that picture in his high school yearbook (when he gets there)!  What did you use to get so many bubbles?

Many Bubbles???

No yearbooks here, so no pictures to choose :) and anyway that would not have been a decision for me to make.

Israel's future is uncertain amid Israeli election stalemate after about 88% of the votes counted.

Shirley

I'm also impressed with the amount of bubbles in that tub! Darling/handsome young man and am sure he was not thrilled to be caught on camera.... by Mom or Gram?   ;D   Illy is a doll and so nice of her to let us share her son growing up. Curious whether young can vote or was he just putting in his mother's?  Good that he is involved with the election, my gr-son that age doesn't have a clue as far as I know.

Patricia, winter is giving up (I hope) here, looking around the yard while ago & the redbud tree is "all but open", dandelions popping up everywhere so I took the digger to them, the weeds are standing tall & the wild onions are knee high on the hill. Still have the snowblower in the garage so will move it to the storage building & put my wagon back in the garage. I only used the snowblower one time all winter, not at all the last 2 years. A different cycle so not sure what to expect for summer.

Thanks for the photos, Bubble & Patricia.... Hope Amy gets a photo of Tom T.Turkey one of these days to show us......

Wishing you a beautiful Passover.

Thanks Tomereader. We had a great celebration and too much of good food with our favorite lamb stew.

Bubble, how wonderful to "see" you and your family again! It must be nice to be again able to gather and celebrate! Lovely photos, thank you for posting!

I had read, on-line, yesterday about the Seder plate (they pictured a lovely silver one), and where each item fits, and the meaning of each.  It was so nice to learn more about the Seder.  I knew some, but this article was excellent.  Always great to add knowledge to what we already know!  Do you have a Seder plate?

Your family is so beautiful and you are blessed to have had them with you for celebration!

((()))

Shirley

Love the photos, people & foods. And those gorgeous amber plates! My mother had a beautiful amber fruit bowl & serving dishes that she was so proud of. Would love to see the lamb but understand it disappearing! I haven't bought lamb in years, many, many years! This is cattle country & guess the reason lamb is so expensive. Loved it when we lived in England. Thanks so much for sharing your holiday meal and the family. You are looking especially nice, feeling good? God Bless All. Shirley

so_P_bubble

Tomereader, I don't have such a plate because I want to use my mom's pewter plate for this purpose. It kind of make her part of the celebration

Pewter Tray.jpg

Shirley, I can show you the lamb of three/four years ago, bones and all.  The recipe was the same.
