Good morning from the Interior! Nothing new here other than any room cleaning I used to do in a couple of hours; now it takes a couple of days! Amy, we're not getting more snow, it's retreating, and the graders and dump trucks cleared it from the roadways. Everything is muted whites and browns with temperatures to remain in the thirty to the fifty-degree range here the rest of the month.

I envy you and Jane with all your activities. I seem to have no gumption yet, but it's coming back but slower than I'd like.

My set is a dark gray, as are the new towels I purchased in January. My new down comforter, due Wednesday, is also dark gray. My older winter rate is white. The six kitchen cupboard shelves from February are bronze and still sitting in their box. That is one reason for my frustration. I had a plan, and I would have been done by now.

Before organizing and getting rid of older items, in 2017, I had a grand plan with a four-step program. This was to have been the fourth step.

Shirley

Been out to check on the trug & little growing things. ALL the packages of lettuce, endive, spinach are up so Google recommended plenty of water before a freeze, the tomato plants seem to be thriving even though I left them covered all day. The shower curtain kept them warm & that old double knit table cloth was great for stretching over the shower curtain & clamping down snug. One more super cold night & that's all for now. I am one happy gardener. Pure luck, totally ignorant about gardening, although I did my share of hoeing weeds as a kid. I do remember Mom & Dad putting Vigaro around everything, wonder if they still sell it?  Being built close to the ground that was one of my jobs and, "make sure you don't let it touch the plants, Shirley".....

Sun is bright but that wind has a bite, even with hooded sweatshirt & nylon coat to stop the wind. The trees, shrubs & grass/weeds a really green tonight. Weather guesser thinks it will warm up & early part of next week, almost summer. Not sure my mimosa tree will make it, no sign of leaves/buds yet. The Crape Myrtle doesn't have any sign of life yet, either. My son said his doesn't either.

Got my new indoor grill and so disappointed, my own fault. I had been reading about the grill that had the "window" for searing but wasn't paying attention, no window on this one. I expected it to be easier to clean than George Foreman because ad says grill & other parts can go in dish washer. Well, I wouldn't expect to get all the little crevices in that lid clean with exposed screws, etc. Won't send it back, but they sure have a creative ad writer! I won't put the model number in but anyone thinking of buying needs to double check with the top rated. I will give it a try, have some hamburger thawing. I think I will use some grill aluminum foil to put inside the lid to see if that will keep any grease from popping on those screws. Not at all happy with my purchase, think I should have checked out the models in person instead of my rush to buy. Bad me...

I'm off to the haystack to track down some zzzzs  A few of them escaped and caught me while I was watching TV and now my eyes have entered total slamshut stage!  I'm ready!  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy Spring day tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Good snowy morning...

Yes, we are being gifted with snow. Every time I get my snow tires off we get snow it seems. Not impressed.
The heart monitor goes back today and we have banking to do then home to corral dust bunnies. Have to rotten...ummm very ripe bananas to use up.

Shirley ,wow didn't take long for your seed to germinate . In no time you will be reaping the benefits of your trug.

Jane, my slam shuts hit me right after lunch and we all had an hours sleep!

Jenny, hope all is well with you and yours.

Lloyd, one of my favourite songs sang by Doris Day.

Patricia, all soothing colours and stand the test of time.

Best find warm clothes for today. I was thinking of putting them all away but had better wait a bit.

Enjoy your day and stay safe..

Please keep the snow north of the route between Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.  Cindy will be in the air tomorrow morning on her way for her visit with us.  And then she and her daughter in the Philadelphia area will be on the road from the airport here.  We don't need any snow to hamper their travels.

Today will be pretty busy.  Mickie goes to the groomer and I have a few errands to do before my company arrives.  I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Good morning. I plan to do some shopping and bill paying this morning and getting items ready for laundry tomorrow. I'm finally feeling less pain and more stable as the barometric pressure stabilizes.

Amy, I've planned more neutrals and less color, with more textures in my furnishings. The dark gray will go with my other white set. The black, gray, and white apartment colors are coming together, and the kitchen reorganizing will pull that room together nicely. It's more natural and soothing and flows well together. I'm enjoying seeing my long-range planning coming together so well.

Jane, enjoy your family time. To me, your family is close. One of my sisters is 2,257 miles, and the rest of the family is 4000 or more miles away. My younger sister is planning several trips this summer, and she retired in February, so she is planning some foliage US trips and one international this year. She's enjoying the freedom after so many years of owning her own business.

Good Morning Everyone ..  It is going
to be a beautiful day here in Portland,
Maine.

So glad to see the better weather
coming and will be glad when it stays
for a while.

Summer is not my favorite time,  but I
do love Spring and Fall.

I am in the process of changing
things around in my living area now
that I have my store room my bedroom.

Part of that is also going through all
the stuff that I onced stored in the store
room..   Much I don't need so going through
it,  and getting rid of most of it is
the chore I am facing now.  It is working,
I just have to keep doing it and not
let it get the best of me!    (Never easy!)

Night before last I had a restless
nights sleep,  with not much sleep
included,  so this morning I slept in
until 11:30 when my gal friend called
and woke me up.

I do not like sleeping in and
waking up late,  but such is life
these days.   I sleep when I can.

Have a good day, Everyone.

AMY, Bloomsburg is practically in my back yard.  It's about a 20 minute drive on a good day! I'm betting he was travelling on Rte 80!  If he was going west, he passed within 4 miles of me!

Got this from an old friend (same age as me) & thought "how true" at OUR age!  Hope you enjoy...

Bob feared his wife Peg wasn't hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid.

Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family Doctor to discuss the problem.

The Doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the Doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.

'Here's what you do,' said the Doctor, 'stand about 40 feet away from her, and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you.
If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response.'

That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was In the den.
He says to himself, 'I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens.'
Then in a normal tone he asks, 'Honey, what's for dinner?'

No response.

So the husband moves closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats,
'Peg, what's for dinner?'

Still no response.

Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his Wife and asks,
'Honey, what's for dinner?'

Again he gets no response.

So, he walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away.
'Honey, what's for dinner?'

Again there is no response.

So he walks right up behind her. 'Peg, what's for dinner?'

(I just love this & it's SO true)

'For Gods sake, Bob, for the FIFTH time, CHICKEN!'

JaneS

Loved it, SHIRLEY, only I AM the one who needs a hearing aid.  I know when the kids are all gathered this week, I'm going to wish I had one!

Right now, it's a "seeing" aid I need.  My eyes have gone into slamshut stage and I'm tired right up the gazoo!  But I'm ready for my company tomorrow.  Every time I tried to sit down today, I thought of something else I had to do.  I'm ready for the haystack!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy Spring day tomorrow.  We had rain today and when it stopped, the sun stayed behind the clouds and the wind blew.  It was NOT a nice Spring day!

I scrolled back and do not see post I Made. But the Bad news Is we are getting booted out of our Home , Have to be out Lock stock and barrel by the Last of June. all we Have done for Bob and get Kicked in the teeth Like this. I say again documents and put in court records with a lawyer. we are both heart sick.

Lloyd

Amy

Good morning..

Snow has gone again and let us hope this time gone till Nov!!

Picking up a few things in town then home get some work done.

Lloyd, I am so sorry to read this! I thought Bob said that you could live there  no matter what the court said. I would have an auction on all the things you can't take and leave him with just dust to play with. People like Bob will pay dearly for what they have done to others.

Shirley, one could write a book on what is said and what one thought was said here. Must admit it can be funny at times and I do have to wait so I can repeat it right without laughing. On that note we are to head to the city for a remote for Kyle's hearing aids......YAY!!

Jane hope you can take it easy today. Don't want to tucker yourself out so that you don't enjoy your company. Remember they are coming to see you, not do a house inspection.  I will ask him next time we talk. I never know where he is..

Better get ready to meet the day..

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Cindy and my Gdaughter, Courtney will be arriving between 10 and 11 a.m. today.  I'm ready!  I slept well last night and there are enugh chairs cleared off for everyone to have a place to sit.

LLOYD, I am so sorry to hear your bad news.  Like AMY, I thought he had agreed to your living in the house even if the decision went the other way.  I agree that you should not leave him a screwdriver or a stick of furniture or a curtain for a window.  Sell it all out from under him!  Take what you want and need and leave NOTHING else!

I'm heading for the shower now so I'm dressed and ready to greet company!  I wish you all a good day, better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Lloyd...
...oh what can i say, i was not expecting this to go against you, have they no heart, dont they know you are not in good health to have to deal with being uprooted from your place that has been home to the pair of you....

Shirley

Another that's sorry the judgement didn't go your way, Lloyd.... are you SURE that judge isn't related to Bob?  :o  I also wouldn't leave a thing not in the deal. When we sold a house with a "handshake" instead of formal paper to hold the deal until papers signed next day, the guy came with less than agreed to because he knew we were anxious to get moved. He wasn's a bit sorry about breaking his word, just said "take it or not". So I took down travis rods & drapes not in the package, and even a room size wool carpet that wasn't glued down. I would have left everything if he had kept his end of the bargain. Haha, 55 years later I still have those travis rods & some of the other stuff. Take care, for sure it will be a big job but think of it as the rest of us when we have to downsize, maybe you can stay out of trouble without all that machinery? Hugs to you & Nancy and expect the grands & grands living downstairs will be moving as well. Go house hunting for your ideal retirement home and make a new, easier life for you & Nancy.

Oh, Jane, I'm in the same boat as that guy, for sure it's everyone else's problem, they just don't talk as loud as they used to!  ;)

Amy

Shirley, your story brought to mind of a JOKE that I had read on the internet.

A couple divorced and he was to get the house in the settlement. He wanted it for his g/f and him. The wife asked for just one last night in the house so he agreed.  She bought a shrimp ring.....a huge bottle of wine and put some soothing music on.  When done the wine and shrimp she took all the shrimp tails and packed them into the curtain rods.
Her ex and his g/f moved in and as you can expect in time those shrimp tails gave off a horrid gut retching smell. They tried everything to rid the house of this smell!! Not being able to do so, they put the house on the market to sell.......but no one wanted this smelly home...........that is until the ex wife made such a low ball offer and they accepted!!!

The ex wife moved and the first thing she did was get new curtain rods. :))

Oh, what a great idea. Lloyd, ARE YOU READING AMY'S POST????  Think about it & talk over with Nancy, surely you can come up with someplace to hide something like that! I'm going to save that!
