Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Some odd photos;

This one is of them clearing the side parking lot today, it has a different view than mine. Altho the buildings are older, probably fifties?

This building takes up the entire block, architectural style, is modernism, and was built in the early sixties?

Here is a view of one hallway. At the end of each of the two hallways are four studios. Otherwise, there are one-bedrooms,

Opposite side of floor from elevators. It's restricted for disabled seniors over 62. So, many asked about the five-story low building so....

Has anyone seen or tasted this type of fruit before?

Amy

This is the information I found on them. I have ate mandarins but not sure about these.

What are Sumo Citrus mandarins?
The exception is mandarins; they pop up in supermarkets when you need them most, providing relief from the seemingly endless supply of bananas and apples. The Sumo Citrus is a relatively new variety in the citrus category. It is also known as Dekopon and was born in Japan back in 1972.

They're probably a hybrid similar to the mini rockit apples.

Never heard of the mini rocket, will look them up, thank you

Just saw them and that would be the right size for hubby!.

The Sumos are very sweet.  I ate a couple last year, just to try them.  And very pricey! I currently have a store coupon for $1.00 off.  That will get me one affordably.

Anyone here grow hydrangeas?  My  friend has one and doesn't know what "type" it is, and that means you either can or cannot cut it back for the winter, depending on the type.

MarsGal

Patricia, what an interesting shot. Did someone lose their big, floppy garden hat?

patricia19

😄I had to go back and look! We do seem to have some odd ones at times. :)

FlaJean

Enjoyed your photos, Patricia.  Never heard of those mandarins, but we are enjoying our newly harvested Florida oranges.  We always have some orange slices with our breakfast.  I did see that Walmart has those small apples and intend buying some if I can remember to put it on my grocery list.  Terrible memory anymore.  Have to make myself notes.

I'd say so! I'd sit this dance out Amy and take the one after.

Amy

Patricia, we have about 12 inches now. After lunch I am going to clear a path for our dogs and see about making one for the neighbours dog. Could be worse.

CHESAPEAKE BAY2016.jpg

THE CHESAPEAKE BAY OUTSIDE MY WINDOWS
If you look hard enough, you can see the 4.5 mile long Bay Bridges to the North.  Baltimore is up there past those bridges.  On the opposite side to the South, you can sail past a great deal more of Maryland and a little tongue of Virginia and out into the Atlantic Ocean.

MaryPage

Thank you so much, Bubble.  I write so often about my windows on the bay that I am grateful for the opportunity to show folk.  My daughter Becky, who lives in Kansas City, Missouri, sent me this last night.  She took it exactly 6 years ago at this time.  She had come and stayed 3 weeks to take care of me after back surgery for Sciatica.

Anyway, the early morning January colors are lovely to look at.  This is my view on the great Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the United States.

JaneS

What a gorgeous view to have out your windows!  I don't think I'd be able to leave the window with all that out there!

"Sunny" Israel is having some snowy days on the mountains this week.
Aviv went to experience it for the first time, with a snowball. There was not enough for a snowman (he did bring a carrot with him!) so he made a ground snowman :)

Terrific photos, Bubble, and I always like to see Aviv! Tell them to come here. We have lots of snow but don't be late; it's melting at plus 36!

Amy

Bubble, what a cutie  or should I say handsome young man. We also have snow should he want to make a snowman. Great idea of making a ground snowman!!

Patricia, you are warmer than we are!!

Good thinking on Aviv's part regarding the ground snowman.  No snow here but we had more than our share in the years we lived in Illinois and Maryland.  These old bones don't like the cold weather, but the young really love playing in the snow.

Shirley

Y'all got more snow that we've had, Bubble! I've checked radar all day & watch as the band we hoped would make it to Wichita just slowly shrunk. We need moisture!  Love the pics of Aviv & I am impressed with his imagination of a snowman on the ground. All my 87 years I never thought of doing that but will copy his idea if we ever get that ground cover. Tell him I said "thanks" for sharing the experience with us.

MaryPage, great shot out your window. Recently I started watching a site on the computer called "View Out My Window".... from all over the world. I signed up & get notices now & then & love seeing the "real world" that only read about in geography books/classes. The surprising part to me is they have internet everywhere! Don't know how to post their link because I only get on when a notice shows up. You would probably enjoy it. Been watching your progress with the valve, Dr wanted to replace my pig valve last year & I refused, it didn't help my short windedness to put that in or the stents & by-passes. My daughter's doctor in St.Louis gives her B-12 shots every month & at 66(today) she could pass a 16 year old energy test. We have an anemia that runs in the family, in fact it is both parents & their siblings, but doctors around here don't believe just being on the low end of the tests can be a problem. So I don't play nice with them!
