Very nice, clear photos Shirley and marveled at how different your robins are from our brown and orange ones!

JaneS

Beautiful birdies!  I can't get close enough to mine to get pictures but I keep trying!

Patricia, our adult robins are much darker brown & burnt orange. These little babies will lose their spots in a few weeks. One of the last bands of robins that migrate thru in the fall are grayish instead of true brown. When we had a couple large pyracantha bushes we would have the ground & bushes filled with flocks of robins passing thru, one day & night and they would be gone. Suprising how different each would be.

When Jack was around we had a group that kept up on the best cameras for wildlife. I finally got one that satisfied my bird photography dreams & haven't checked out a camera since. Here's the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-FZ70-Digital-Optical-Stabilized/dp/B00DY2Y28M   I am amazed it is still available. The camera store I bought from says, "no longer available"....  I'll see if that link works.

Well, I did not know that Amazon sold used cameras but that's what it says.  I wonder why it was less than what I paid!  Long ago I did buy a used camera from a camera store here in town but had the chance to look it over before buying.  Anyway, this is a fun camera & with that 60-1 zoom, can reach out & show great detail.

Kyle and I had our laugh for the day. While sitting out on the deck  Jesse spied a chippy...I wasn't sure if the garage door was shut so went to check. In doing so the chipmunk turned around and scurried in front...hopping up on the deck, going in behind Kyle on his chair with both dogs in pursuit!! All is well,no one or critter hurt..

For Amy

We have squash on the left with beets next. Then in the trug with the cover is yellows beans (Lots of flowers on them) potatoes at the far end. Next trug is same beets with carrots in the next plus garlic. Next is one at the road with flowers and swiss chard in the back. Now you know what we grow in trugs.

Shirley

Amy, I do envy your climate for growing! I'm about to give up on any kind of growning with the heat & wind this year. Son & I talked about if a cover would work on my trug but with the strong winds, it would rip off the first day it was open for sun. Your leaves so green and BUG FREE! I am jealous. I didn't get to the Farmer's Market again yesterday, have not made in this year at all. Last year it seemed so much was hauled in from other states & the same we see in the stores, maybe it's too early for "home grown".

Bubble, you so casually comment about Aviv enjoying the quiet of "the River Jordan" and just the name brings to my mind a fairy tale world. So nice of you to share your world and that your family doesn't object.  Are the photos of Bath from your son?  Both of your kids have a artist's eye for composing their photos before they snap. I've seen photos of Bath before but never from those angles, absolutely yummy pics! Thanks for posting for Amy & all of us!

Beverly

Just enjoyed browsing through your wonderful picture gallery! Thanks, everyone. Trying to muster up the words to post over in "Norm's". I haven't posted in quite awhile.

Shirley

Been wondering about you, Beverly, how you and all the little ones are doing (and the rest of the family). Come back & bring pictures, please!

Love the tale of the pups & chippy, Amy, could picture the wheels turning in their heads. Something about bird & animal watching, so relaxing.

Amy

Shirley, thank you on the comments of the garden. I saw little zuchinnis and yellow squash starting and they are good fried together with onions, celery, garlic and tomatoes!! We are still laughing over the pup episode...

Beautiful Great Grands, Beverly! It's nice to see the twins again!

Beverly

I don't mean to monopolize this place with my babies, but at the moment they're what keeps me going!

Beverly

Wesley and baby brother Wyatt

Beverly

The twins are amazing, considering they were premature and spent 8 weeks in the hospital. They'll be 11 months old next week.

Beverly looks sweet but is a force to be reckoned with!  :)

Marilyne

Beverly - You aren't monopolizing at all!  I love looking at new pictures of the twins, and also Wesley and Wyatt!
It looks like Wyatt is not going to have red hair, like his brother?  Is that little Beverly or James, trying to escape over the side of the play pen?  Not quite ready yet, but it won't be long! ;D

patricia19

Beverly, I love seeing all these babies! And that red hair of Wesley plus freckles!

patricia19

Bubble said you might like to see my new spice rack and post a photo. The next photo was yesterday's and this morning's blue skies. Now the smoke is back.

Shirley

Oh, Beverly, you just made my day!  Love seeing the kids in action and do believe little Beverly will stay a jump ahead of the world every day of her life!  What a doll. We have a "James" in my family & one I grew up with, that looked so innocent with their drooping eye brows. In both cases, the teachers loved them and let them slid by much to easy, not a good thing!  Little Beverly has the eyes of those cupie dolls (check it out) and will put a smile on anyone's face. For sure, Wesley & Wyatt will get attention where ever they show up. Darling kids & those freckles will attract all mothers, want to hug him! What fun to watch them grow up. By the way, who is that climbing the playpen walls? Thanks for sharing your photos with us. I am "baby-less" right now, my youngest great is 6.

Patricia, I thought I have a lot of spices but you take the cake! Great idea with the shelf/rack. Mine are in 4 different spaces & would snatch your idea but no floor space to put one. You do "think outside the box" as my kids say, and come up with smart ideas. Love your view out the window, can see forever!

patricia19

Shirley, it is little Beverly climbing her playpen.

My cart from Amazon, white or black, is easy to put together for under thirty-five dollars and the wheels have locks; there are also hanging hooks for the shelves. I highly recommend using it for any room in the house.

JaneS

I've thought and thought and thought and my little kitchen just doesn't have a space for one of those shelves.  I'm going to think some more after I go home and can actually look at the space but I think I'm just HOPING!!

Beverly

Patricia - That looks like a great storage rack. I don't need many spices because I seldom cook anymore but that would be good for storing many things. Love your blue sky view!

Jane - Do you have a small closet where it could fit? I have a small laundry room just off the kitchen.

Shirley - Thanks for the comments. As Patricia said, Beverly is the one trying to escape the pen! She never stops moving! James has the sweetest personality. Makes me wish I could hug him. I get to see them "in action" through videos and real-time on my Facebook portal. We sometimes do group "meetings" with my daughter, Brynn and the babies, and Shea with her little one, who will turn one next week. It's kind of like Facetime but much better and larger.

Beverly, the moment I saw your photo of your namesake and everyone was talking about James being the one, I had a strong sense that it was his sister they would need to keep an eye on!
