Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

X-mas tree

This year our tree was very active. At New Year's little sticks suddenly appeared on the walls -- the Super came up with fly spray, but that didn't phase them. Then were praying manitises -- and one is not allowed to harm them. Of course they were in the wrong place at the worng time -- no mantis food around, so they would die no matter what.
Kats are krazy, kalm or kollected, but mostly kôôl

Rutumi, sorry to hear about the praying mantises. I try to save as many as I can. When I had my big garden back in the 70's and 80's, when pruning my fruit trees, I any mantis egg cases I found that were liable to hatch out too soon, I would snip the twigs they clung to and taped them to my fruit trees. I was a semi-organic gardener and didn't use insecticides. The praying mantises were great at helping to keep unwanted insects down. Of course, the very first things they did when they hatched was try to wipe out their siblings because they were easily within reach.
