An interesting version of an old folk song. This is from 1970.

A great old country song from 1951.

One of the best versions of this song I've heard. While many people only know the chorus of this song and think it's a sweet tune, when you hear the verses as well, it ends up being far from the joyful love song people think it is. This version includes the verses and also changes it to a minor key to make it even darker. The Dead South is a Canadian folk/bluegrass band that became well known seveal years ago after the video for their song "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company" went viral on YouTube.

A forgotten exotic (and probably politically incorrect) novelty song from 1960.

Another exotic song, this time from Italy, released in 1957. This was later recorded by Perez Prado as well as Peggy March.

Almost Thanksgiving here in the US so it's time to dig this up again...

The second big hit by Don McLean. This was the followup to "American Pie" and was also a big hit, peaking at #12 in the US, #3 in Canada and #1 in the UK. It was his last big hit until a cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying" in 1980.

In 1982, British duo Yazoo had a big hit in the UK and several European countries with a song called "Only You". In late 1983, British acapella group The Flying Pickets released a cover of it, and also scored a big hit in the UK and across Europe.

Sorry Michael . . . but the one and only, ONLY YOU, was recorded in 1955 by The Platters.
