Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

MG, that's Ron's doing. Its for head room in the loft, and reduced snow load.

I shouldn't even have looked at the donuts, Bubble! 😳 I used to be addicted to those things!  :D

That is a beautiful house! In my imagination the tiny house was like a tree house, all compact. Building it is really a work of love.

What a long tail, Kato! and he barely fit on that chair LOL

Thanks for showing us and I hope you can soon move in and enjoy it.

Sunset in Bangkok yesterday

This week in Jerusalem, there are lots of activities and spectacles for Hanukah.

This one is the light festival in the botanical gardens.

On a more personal note: Pailin  started to crawl and explore
She also "explores" food!  ;D

Bubble, if you look out the window past Kato you can see the 10x10 tree house Ron built for the grandkids. Five years ago he had emergency brain surgery for a massive pituitary tumor. It was a hard road back. He started with the smaller project. 🙂 Great pics. Pailin is adorable!😍

Bubble, again, so many great family photos! Thank you!

Ciaobella

OLM, thank you for sharing the picture of your house and dog.  How exciting to see the house you have been speaking of, I bet you can't wait for it to be finished.
Ciao for now~

OLM, it's uncanny how they blend in. When I was in rural Kentucky, visiting my husband's family in the hills, my daughter and I used to roam all over the creeks and hallows when my husband was working. That was until my father-in-law informed me that there were venomous snakes all over the place out there. I never saw one, but we never went out there alone again

In fact, the only snake I saw out of a zoo was a king snake crossing the road one time. I think I shocked them by how excited I was! We don't have any snakes in Alaska, except for privately owned.

OnLonelyMountain

Patricia, King snakes are wonderful! They are non venomous and eat venomous snakes. I saw one here the first year. It was 6' long! I haven't seen it since though I've come across its shed skin a couple years ago. We have the cream and black California King snake variety.

I am struggling with posting a pic.  Is there a certain way you must upload it from a photo site?  When I click the Insert an image... it asks for the height and width and URL. If I use my Facebook URL it doesn't work.  Can someone please help?  I spent hours trying to post last week and gave up.  I don't know how I did the ones before. Most of my sites you just copy and paste.

Thanks for any help.

I hate ALL snakes... I grew up in the country and encountered so many huge hissing snakes near our ditch and backyard I have a huge phobia of them.  I can't even look at a picture of them without getting freaked out.
Ciao for now~

RAMMEL

I think Bubble or Patricia would be able to help you.  Unfortunately I don't remember how to do it. Would have to mess around with it for a while to figure it out.

Ciaobella, you can send it to me and I'll resize and post it for you. No problem.

Christmas in Haifa

patricia19

Thanks for the Christmas photos, Bubble. Love the one with Illy and Father Christmas, or is it old St. Nick?

Rain, wind, cold: terrible weather! But Illy and family went to check on the wild cyclamen

Lovely, but very damp seeming photos Bubble!

Arctic Cam, Fairbanks, minus 47 and ice fog,

MarsGal

Ah, yes! mud puddles. One of my favorite things to do on the way home from elementary school, splashing into every mud puddle I encountered. Drove Mom nuts!

Not something I want to be driving in, Patricia. Can't say that I remember dealing with ice fog.

patricia19

No mud puddles, but iced over concrete.

"Ice fog is a type of fog consisting of fine ice crystals suspended in the air. It occurs only in cold areas of the world, as water or exhaust droplets suspended in the air can remain liquid down to minus 40 degrees.

More common than an ice fog is a freezing fog. A freezing fog occurs when liquid fog droplets freeze to surfaces, forming white soft or hard rime. If there is a very light wind on a day with freezing fog, the wind can blow the droplets in one particular direction. As a result, small spikes of ice can grow into the wind on objects like trees and fences. The freezing fog can make roadways very slippery and dangerous. The danger is compounded by the poor visibility that accompanies the fog."

I am glad not to have experienced that ever! Rain and storms are enough for me now.
I do remember the chilblains I suffered from  when studying in Switzerland.

Some views of the desert around Eilat.
You have sand, you have stony, and also those high rocks that people enjoy climbing.
