Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Gloria, what terrific photos! Taffy's face has an expression I've seen many, many times on Farrah and their faces are the same except for Taffy's white chin! Thank you and thank your neighbor for me!

Sachiko3

Lindancer, thank you very much for your comment!

Your pictures are wonderful! Taffy is very handsome.
I'm looking forward to your photo from now on.

Lindancer

Thank you Sachiko and Patricia

Jack, was the picture to large? This my first try

Lindancer when I first viewed the photos were small, now they are open and fine, (looks like Jeanne Lee was at work) the sunset is beautiful, but Taffy even more so.

When I took a walk through my garden, an orange day-lily bloomed in the backyard. As there are a lot of buds, I look forward to it from now on.

I have received a beautiful bouquet and it graces my living room. The lilies are fragrant and fill the air with their aroma.

jackwv

Sachiko and Bubble, lovely, nice start for my day.

FlaJean

Linedancer your cat is beautiful.  Lovely photos to start the day, as Jack said.

Vanilla-Jackie

Lindancer, now you know how, there will be no stopping you ;)...

Your Taffy is definitely not camera shy....

So P bubble, I think I can smell them too...

Sachiko, so unusual to see a vibrant orangery coloured Lily, we are so used to seeing pinks...

Sachiko3

Jack, Jean, Vanilla-Jackie, thank you very much for your comments!
My mother-in-law planted most flowers in this garden, and there are the flowers that I do not know those names a lot.

Sachiko3

Bubble, beautiful flowers!

Sachiko3

I found white sasanqua blooming next to Orange day-lily, yesterday.

Vanilla-Jackie

Sachiko, very pretty, looks like a mini rose...

so_P_bubble

Looks like gardenias.  Sachiko, do they have a strong smell?

Sachiko3

Vanilla-Jackie, Bubble, thank you very much for your comments!

Bubble, they do not have strong smell.

Orange day-lily has many buds and seems to bloom tomorrow.

The common name for sasanqua here is camellia.  I carried a small spray of camellias that had been dyed a light pink arranged over a white satin covered bible when I was married.  The bible had been given to me by my father when I was 12 years old and was the "something old" that was a tradition for every bride.

("Something old; something new; something borrowed; something blue; and a silver sixpence in her shoe.")

Camellias have a light, sweet fragrance and I still remember that smell.  Thank you, Sachiko, for bringing back the memories with your lovely picture.

Good morning!

phyllis, thank you very much for your kind comment.
Various kinds of camellia is in Japan separately from this sasanqua. There are various kinds of camellias in my garden. If winter comes, I will post each photo.

Sunset this evening.

Jack, wonderful photos!

angelface555

Lovely flowers and sunsets, today! Thank you!

so_P_bubble

strange: no sunsets, no flowers showing... just empty space    :'(

jackwv

Jean, Sachiko, Patricia thanks, the sunsets are often beautiful, and the fact it is cooling off at dusk has me taking later walks.

Bubble mine was acting up the other day, try again and possibly refresh (the site :)))

Vanilla-Jackie

Jack wv, so much beauty around, so much to see, just have to be around at the right time with our trusted camera to capture it......Lovely shot of your sunset....

jackwv

Jackie, my companion, Jessie, gets me out of the house several times a day and usually when hot we head for Oglebay Park.  They have great walking trails and lots of beauty to view.   I took her for a short walk last night and that is when we spotted the sunset.
Jessie turned 15 on Friday June 24th.  That is quite old for a Golden but she handles it well.

Unfortunately on the 24th I had the vet remove a large tumor on her side.  She recovered from past surgeries so well, that they recommend having it done again.  In no time she is almost back to normal, the only problem is that shaved view I am posting.

She had almost the same thing last November but the fur had completely grown back.  The last time, it was cold and the only time I put a sweater on her.  No sweater this time, and folks worry about her, but she always walks up to everyone she meets, not jumping, and looks for a pat or a rub on her ears.  Children love her since she never moves when they check her ears, and tail. she is not a face licker, and always has that smile.

Jackwv, we have had the sad news we are soon to lose our 13 year old Benji, cross Collie -Springer....to cancer.....Benji is fine at the moment, so we just treasure every day...and spoil him rotten...

I remember so well from past photos of your Jessie, I have never seen her without her smile....

FlaJean

Jessie is one in a million, that's for sure!  How is your son's big dog doing?

angelface555

I agree! She makes a great ambassador for Goldens and I hope she is now doing well!

Jean my sons Leonberger is doing great.  Looks like a lion or bear, 170 pounds but gentle.  They are talking about getting a 2nd one.

Jackie, would love to give Benji a pat.  We treasure every day with our pets, and most,  when we fear their days are coming to an end.

Patricia thanks am hoping to take her  to the Golden Gathering at the park in September, they had 85 goldens there last year.  Here was last years
